NextGen’s Phase I steps were two fold. The first effort included extensive stakeholder and community outreach, with a particular focus on developing a vision for the role public transportation plays in central Ohio’s future. The second initial effort included a needs assessment, which involves considering projected growth patterns, evaluating existing transit services, and examining how communities in the study area are planning for additional transit investment. These two efforts were also used to develop an evaluation framework; this framework is designed to reflect the regional goals and values for transit service development and apply these values to create a methodology that can be used to evaluate and prioritize transit investment opportunities.
The purpose of this technical memo is to document and describe the evaluation framework for how the NextGen team will screen identified transit investment needs into a prioritized list, and eventually evaluate potential transit projects. This technical memo is intended as a working paper to communicate the NextGen team’s proposed approach to stakeholders.
This presentation is reflective of the public meetings held in person September 28-30. Get involved to tell us your thoughts before October 30, 2015.
COTA NextGen is an effort to create a community vision for the future of public transportation in central Ohio.
NextGen Project Advisory Group Meeting 2 - May 20, 2015COTA BUS
The purpose of the meeting is to update the Project Advisory Group about project status and work completed over the last two months; summarize feedback received to date regarding community priorities and values and geographic needs for transit investments; discuss findings of the technical needs assessment; and discuss next steps and application of public input and technical needs.
Over the past 40 years, central Ohio has changed tremendously. Communities expanded throughout the region, growing away from Downtown and recently, returning to neighborhoods around Downtown. COTA's bus network has kept up with this growth through incremental changes, but remains focused on Downtown.
The Transit System Redesign (TSR) was developed through a comprehensive review of the existing COTA bus system, conducted by international transit system efficiency experts IBI Group. This plan is constrained by COTA's current and projected funding levels through 2017.

f you offer a service on the web, odds are that someone will abuse it. In this talk we'll compare measures that are effective against static attackers and how to battle a dynamic attacker who adapts to your counter-measures.
