The purpose of this meeting is to take public comments on
proposed service changes that will be effective on Monday,
May 7, 2018. No final decisions have been made.

SHORT NORTH STREETSCAPE PLAN
Goal: Maintain high-quality service
during construction on High Street from
I-670 to 9th Ave for the next two years.
• Expect delays and temporary stop
closures

2018 ON-BOARD SURVEY
Every five years, COTA collects travel and demographic
information from riders via an extensive on-board survey
• Surveyors will board buses with tablets to conduct an
approximately five minute survey
• Pilot survey will be conducted in spring 2018
• Final survey will be conducted in fall 2018
• Responses will be confidential and used only for analysis
purposes
• Data provides COTA with an up-to-date understanding of its
ridership, demographics and travel pattern behavior
• The Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) will also
use survey data to model transportation trends in the region

• New fareboxes have been
installed on all buses
• Cash and change still accepted
• Mobile ticketing to launch in early
2018
• Mobile app will be available on
Android and Apple devices
(Google Play & Apple Store)
• Pay via mobile app by credit card
(Visa/MasterCard/Discover/
Paypal) or prepaid card
• Account must be created
• No fees or additional costs
associated with using app
• Smartcards will launch in late
