Procedure of pile foundation

2. Description of project
• Building : Multi Storey Building
• Number of piles : around 870 piles
• Types of piles are used in this project :
• Reinforced Concrete
• Wood
• Depth of Piles : around 10-12 metres
• Duration of Installing Piles : 3 .5 months

3. Procedure of Construction of Pile Foundation
• Firstly we have to Level the ground surface using Total Station/Auto Level with
respect to previous already installed pile
• By calculating the strength parameters we can extrude the required amount of soil
to required depth
• then we have to extrude the soil from ground at required point with respect to
Plan, Elevation of the building with help of extruder
• Beside that Activity we have to remove the extruded soil with help of excavators i.e.
Bull dozers...etc for convenient purpose and stability of pile hole

7. Installing the Reinforced cage
• Reinforce Cage/structure will be already made by labour under supervision
of structural engineer and site engineer
• It will be made in project site as shown in figure in next slide
• Reinforce cage will be kept into extruded hole with help of crane

11. Setting the Caisson in extruded hole around the
Reinforce cage

12. Sending Concrete into the Reinforce cage and
caisson

14. At last the piles will formed after filling the
reinforce cage with concrete within the setting
time of concrete

15. Conclusion:
• I Have already enjoyed the industrial field work weather at that place and I
observed the co-ordination between engineers and contractors
• If you want to visit the construction area/industrial area you have to take
safety measures
