INJO SLIP MAINTENANCE PROGRESS UPDATES
INTRODUCTION
This report regards the work progress on site at Injo Slip Maintenance. The work/maintenance carried out
by Roadworks Supervisors, Contractors and Labours engaged have each played their part to at least
complete the Scope of Works prepared to repair the defective Corrugated Metal Pipes and do backfilling of
boulders and gravel along the slumped affected sections of road.
However, the progress of maintenance work was delayed due to some minor issues such as, Labour Pay
Issues, Operators not Turning up for work or Late, Funeral Services, and Trucks not on site, etc…
BRIEF UPDATE
We started working on the 1st defective culvert as per recommended by Geotech Reports. The existing
defected 1800mm dia. CMP was replaced with a 1500mm dia. CMP. All features and steps taken to install
the 1500mm dia. CMP and backfill were done accordingly to recommendations from Geotech Engineer.
Due to the minor delays, we have not constructed the gabion basket headwalls at the intake and outfall
areas of newly installed 1500m dia. CMP as per recommended by Geotech.
Figures below could picture the frame of work carried out so far. The remaining works need to be executed
this week and next week will also be executed accordingly to the duration and plan we are working
towards in line with the Geotech Engineers’ recommendations.
