Second Life is a virtual world launched in 2003 where users interact as avatars. Residents can explore the virtual world, socialize, and participate in activities. They can also create and trade virtual property and services. Second Life allows students to model the real world, and could be used to teach digital or design classes. However, it is only for those 18 and older and requires computer literacy and internet access.
