The scientific method involves 6 key steps: 1) making observations and recording them, 2) asking a question and developing a testable hypothesis, 3) conducting research, 4) performing an experiment, 5) recording results, and 6) drawing a conclusion about whether the hypothesis was confirmed or not. The document then discusses the concept of variables in an experiment, defining the independent variable as the factor that is deliberately changed, the dependent variable as the factor that is measured, and controlled variables as other factors kept the same.
Hello Friends,
I have made this PPT especially for 10th Standard students of Maharashtra State Board (SSC). This PPT is made highly informative and illustrative, so that each and everyone of you can understand the basics of Science.
Best of Luck!
460 BC - Greek philosopher proposes the existence of the atom
He pounded materials until he made them into smaller and smaller parts
He called them atoma which is Greek for “indivisible”.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

Synthetic Fiber Construction in lab .pptxPavel ( NSTU)
Synthetic fiber production is a fascinating and complex field that blends chemistry, engineering, and environmental science. By understanding these aspects, students can gain a comprehensive view of synthetic fiber production, its impact on society and the environment, and the potential for future innovations. Synthetic fibers play a crucial role in modern society, impacting various aspects of daily life, industry, and the environment. ynthetic fibers are integral to modern life, offering a range of benefits from cost-effectiveness and versatility to innovative applications and performance characteristics. While they pose environmental challenges, ongoing research and development aim to create more sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives. Understanding the importance of synthetic fibers helps in appreciating their role in the economy, industry, and daily life, while also emphasizing the need for sustainable practices and innovation.
Macroeconomics- Movie Location
This will be used as part of your Personal Professional Portfolio once graded.
Objective:
Prepare a presentation or a paper using research, basic comparative analysis, data organization and application of economic information. You will make an informed assessment of an economic climate outside of the United States to accomplish an entertainment industry objective.

9. After you search the internet
and the books for information
you find out that:
Lemon, vinegar and tomato sauce
can be use to clean silver and
metal objects
10. Can you guess an answer to
your question?
After you made your
research,
13. 4) Experiment
Make a test to test
whether the hypothesis
is correct.
1) Put the coin in the
lemon juice.
2) Wait for 5 min. and
record the results.
19. In any experiment there are 3 variables:
Independent
variables
Dependent
variables
Controlled
variables
Let’s look at each type….
20. Independent (input) variable
This is the thing that you decide to change.
Example 1:
Investigating how a weight
affects the length of an elastic band.
You decide the weight to put,
so:
Weight is the independent
variable.
21. Example 2:
Investigating how the rate of cooling of a
beaker depends on the initial temperature.
You decide the initial temperature,
so:
initial temperature is the
independent variable.
22. Students of different ages were given the
same jigsaw puzzle to put together. They
were timed to see how long it took to finish
the puzzle.
Example 3:
You decide the ages of the students,
so:
Different ages of the students is the
independent variable.
23. The higher the temperature of water, the
faster an egg will boil.
Example 4:
You decide the temperature of water,
so:
Different temperatures of water is the
independent variable.
24. The temperature of water was measured at
different depths of a pond.
Example 5:
You decide the depth of water,
so:
Depth of water is the independent
variable.
25. This is the variable that changes as a result.
It is the variable that you measure.
Example 1:
Investigating how a weight
affects the length of an elastic band.
You measure the resulting length
of the elastic band, so:
Length is the dependent
variable.
Dependent (outcome) variable
26. Example 2:
Investigating how the rate of cooling of a
beaker depends on the initial temperature.
You measure the temperature
every minute as it cools, so:
temperature is the dependent
variable.
27. Students of different ages were given the
same jigsaw puzzle to put together. They
were timed to see how long it took to finish
the puzzle.
Example 3:
You measured time, so:
Time taken to finish the puzzle is the
dependent variable.
28. The higher the temperature of water, the
faster an egg will boil.
Example 4:
You measure the time the egg takes to
boil, so:
Time is the dependent variable.
29. The temperature of water was measured at
different depths of a pond.
Example 5:
You measure the temperature,
so:
Temperature is the dependent
variable.
