 Teaching approach: Communicative approach and Multiple intelligence.
The theory of multiple intelligences suggests that there are a number of distinct forms
of intelligence that each individual possesses in varying degrees. Gardner proposes
seven primary forms: linguistic, musical, logical-mathematical, spatial, body-
kinesthetic, intrapersonal (e.g., insight, metacognition) and interpersonal (e.g., social
skills)
 Integration of skills: What skills will be integrated and how?
Speaking and listening skills are integrated, through different activities. Writing and
reading the students are invited to complete charts and write about what are they doing.
 Materials and resources: CD - pictures - computer- photocopies - poster -
markers.
 Pedagogical use of ICT in class or at home: I will use the computer to
reproduce the songs and videos.
 Seating arrangement: The group will be sitting on their chairs. Students will play
and move into the classroom.
 Assessment: what will be assessed and how :
I will check that they understand the new target language through getting the
students to talk about what they can do Grammar and vocabulary will be assessed
through writing activities and games.
Routine:(2 minutes)
I will great the students: Hello” How are you today? Are you Ok? “They will answer
saying “I´m ok” or “I´m fine, thanks”.
Warm-up: 5 (minutes)
Teacher: I will write the date on the board. Them I will say: ok, today we will work
with sports and free time activities. Do you remember any of these pictures? I will
encourage students to say the words.
Teacher: I will write the words on the board.
Transition: fantastic! Now, I will show you other pictures with more free time activites
Activity 1: (10 minutes)
Do you know what is the name of this sport?
S. Maybe they give me the answer in Spanish.... and I will say and write the word in
English on the board (paragliding-- Scuba diving - skydiving - Kayak)
Activity 2: (15 minutes)
Teacher: Ok! Are you ready to work?
Students: Yes!
I will ask students to look the pictures that I ´ve stuck on the board and they will
complete a short activity with those pictures
I will give them the following worksheet. Sts will put in order the questions and they will
look the pictures and they will answer the questions, when they finish the activity I will
invite them to read the questions and the answers.

Activity 3: (15 minutes)
I will stick more pictures about sports like these:
I will invite them to look at the picture and name the sports.I will write their answers on
the board.
Then I will show students these two pictures and I will ask them which one is practised
indoors and which one is practised outdoors. I will help them, miming the word
OUTDOORS/INDOORS
Teacher: Is skiing practises indoors or outdoors?
Student: Outdoors
Teacher: Yes! Very good!
After that I will ask them to open their booklet at page 35.
Teacher: Now, You are going to complete the first activity.
Teacher: Leila Could you read the instruction, please?
Student: Yes!
Teacher: Ok Do you understand how to do the activity?
Student: Yes!
Teacher: Well! Now you are going to complete each item with the correct sport.
When they finish to the activity I will invite them to read their answers aloud.
Transition: Well, now we are going to play a game about sports and free time activities.
Please pay attention!
I will ask them to make groups of 5 students.
Activity 4: Pigy goes! (15 minutes)
Teacher: Do you know how to play Piggy goes?
Students: Yes!
Teacher: Ok, this piggy goes contains different words, and you need to make sentences
using Present continuous.
I will check the answers ones a student says “Piggy”
Note: I will prepare new cards for this game with sentences like these:( I am
skiing now.
She is climbing now.)
Transition: Great work!! Now you are going to have a break! See you in five minutes!

Activity 5: (25 - 30 minutes)
Teacher: Ok You have been working with sports and free time activities, but now
we are going to listen to a song.
So, look at these picture What´s this?
Students: It is a lemon
Teacher: Yes!! and what´s this?
Students: a tree
Teacher: Yes!
Well the tittle of this song is...... The lemon tree!
Note: The idea is that the students work with the structure of Present Continuous.
Teacher: I will play the song twice.
First you will hear and watch it. After that you will listen to again and you will
complete the sentences with the missing words.
Teacher: Are you ready!
Students: Yes!
They will listen to the song “ The Lemon tree” by Fool´s Graden

When they finish listening to and watching the video I will give them the following
worksheet.
Teacher: Now while you listen to the song you will complete all the sentences,
remember that you have a word in brackets to help you.

Activity 6: /5 minutes)
I will ask students to open again their books at page 34.
Teacher: Now, You will complete 2 activities. The first one you need to put in order the
letters to form a word. Easy !!!
I will give you 5 minutes more or less and when you finish we will check the answers.
Activity 7: (10 minutes)
Teacher: Now, You will complete activity B. Pay Attention because you need to make
questions and answers about the picture. This activity is similar to the activity number 2.
Ok Let´s go to work!!

Next class You will bring scissors, glue and markers.

Students will play and move into the classroom.  Assessment: what will be assessed and how : I will check that they understand the new target language through getting the students to talk about what they can do Grammar and vocabulary will be assessed through writing activities and games. Routine:(2 minutes) I will great the students: Hello” How are you today? Are you Ok? “They will answer saying “I´m ok” or “I´m fine, thanks”. Are you ready to work? Students: Yes! I will ask students to look the pictures that I ´ve stuck on the board and they will complete a short activity with those pictures I will give them the following worksheet. Sts will put in order the questions and they will look the pictures and they will answer the questions, when they finish the activity I will invite them to read the questions and the answers. Then I will show students these two pictures and I will ask them which one is practised indoors and which one is practised outdoors. I will help them, miming the word OUTDOORS/INDOORS Teacher: Is skiing practises indoors or outdoors? Student: Outdoors Teacher: Yes! Very good! After that I will ask them to open their booklet at page 35. Teacher: Now, You are going to complete the first activity. Teacher: Leila Could you read the instruction, please? Student: Yes! Teacher: Ok Do you understand how to do the activity? Student: Yes! Teacher: Well! Now you are going to complete each item with the correct sport.
  • 7. When they finish to the activity I will invite them to read their answers aloud. Transition: Well, now we are going to play a game about sports and free time activities. Please pay attention! I will ask them to make groups of 5 students. Activity 4: Pigy goes! (15 minutes) Teacher: Do you know how to play Piggy goes? Students: Yes! Teacher: Ok, this piggy goes contains different words, and you need to make sentences using Present continuous. I will check the answers ones a student says “Piggy” Note: I will prepare new cards for this game with sentences like these:( I am skiing now. She is climbing now.)
