Basic Components Of The Us Healthcare Delivery System Essay
Healthcare delivery system main objectives. The main objective of a healthcare delivery system
is to ensure that anyone who needs healthcare receives the best care, at a price they can afford
(Barton, 2010, p. 8). The functional components of the US healthcare delivery system. The U.S
healthcare system is large and varied. However, the basic functional components include running
the system, the different branches of the system, how services are rendered, how the services
are funded, and manufacturing of new products (Barton, 2010, p. 6 8). The component of
running the system allows for quality control, making new polices, enforcing said polices, and
monitoring the different aspects of the healthcare delivery system (Barton, 2010, p. 7). The
different branches of the healthcare system allow for people from every level of the finance
scale to seek medical care (Barton, 2010, p. 7). The private market and volunteer organizations
are two examples of different branches of the healthcare system (Barton, 2010, p. 6). Serves are
rendered through specialized branches like primary care and secondary care (Barton, 2010, p. 6).

Romeo And Juliet Tybalt Conflict
Forever drawing their words, the Capulets and Montagues reveal no temptation to halt the ancient
feud between them. As the son of the Montague, Romeo, reveals his presence in a Capulet party,
Tybalt flares with rage, declaring to Lord Capulet, That men there s a Montague, our foe. A villain
who has come here in spite to mock at our celebration tonight. (I.v.62 64). Tybaltconveys his
irritation towards Lord Capulet, exhibiting his passion and devotion towards the conflict among the
two families. Although the reason for Tybalt s frustration reaches Capulet, Capulet mentions how
the Montagues can stay as long as they remain civil. Thus, originating a question in the reader s

However, the inquiry at hand does not emphasize the hatred among the two houses, but instead,
questions their reasoning for such an ongoing rivalry. Friar Lawrence additionally states, For this
alliance may happily prove to end your families feud, their hate remove. (II.iii.96 97). Not only does
the conflict between the households portray no viable reason, but it troubles those involved, such as
the Montague, Friar Lawrence. Lord Capulet and Lord Montague may contain mindsets strictly
based off the feud between them. Nevertheless, as elders, they display unawareness of the troubles
the rivalry has brought to their peers as well as the disturbance it precipitates for thoughts of
impartiality from youths. Moreover, the audience can infer how if these characters consider the
thoughtless purpose of the conflict, problems would not have surfaced when Friar Lawrence
marries Romeo and Juliet, where his only motive composes of the elimination of the Capulet
Montague strife. Through the inclusion of an unknown purpose for the obstinate feud, William
Shakespeare depicts a probable reason for the troubles and possible despair of various

The True Villain in The Tragedy of Macbeth
In the play, The Tragedy of Macbeth by William Shakespeare, there was a hero, named Macbeth,
however he becomes a villain because of his wife, Lady Macbeth. Macbeth receives three
prophecies about himself and finds out that he will become king. Greedy for the status and power
Macbeth thinks about killing Duncan, but he does not go through with it until Lady Macbeth
convinces him to do it. After Lady Macbeth told Macbeth to murder Duncan, she comes up with a
plan so that no one would find out it was them that killed Duncan. Macbeth killed Duncan and
continued doing evil deeds after that. There were several villains in the play, the three witches,
Macbeth, and Lady Macbeth, however the one that is the cause for the downfall of Scotland is
Lady Macbeth. In the play, Lady Macbeth is the person responsible for the downfall of Scotland,
and she is the reason Macbeth commits all the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Macbeth has people over to celebrate him becoming King of Scotland, however after he receives
the news that Banquo is dead, he starts to go crazy. As soon as he knew Banquo had been killed
he started seeing Banquo s ghost in his chair, haunting him. Witnessing this, people started
doubting if they made the right choice to give Macbeth the throne. Lady Macbeth saw this and
jumped in and said, Think of this, good peers, but as a thing of custom, tis no other. Only it spoils
the pleasure of the time (3.4.97 99) In this quote, it shows that she defends Macbeth whenever he

been caught for committing all the evil deeds, and Scotland wouldn t have collapsed. She tries to

The Function of Punishment Essay
The Function of Punishment
Justice must not only be done but seen to be done . Most would agree with this statement the
wicked must surely be punished (or should they? do two wrongs make a right?) but why is it so
important that the punishment must be seen to be done? To the utilitarian the answer is simple
punishment must be witnessed in order to deter others from committing the same act. Thus, to a
utilitarian the perception of punishment is seen as the main, or even the sole, justification for
punishment. Of course, if the wrongdoer is sent to prison for any length of time he is incapacitated,
and thus excluded from doing further harm. Further, while being punished there may be at least ...

Taking that, by definition, punishment involves inflicting some kind of pain on the offender, the
ideas of reform and incapacitation are largely seen as secondary to the main purpose of punishment
to deter. The most well known proponents of utilitarianism have almost always justified punishment
in terms of its deterrent effect. Bentham, for example, argued that apparent justice was everything,
and real justice was essentially irrelevant. And John Stuart Mill, in defending the death penalty,
stated that to deter by suffering by inflicting suffering is not only possible, but the very purpose of
penal Justice. (Mill 1868). This leads to one of the main criticisms of the utilitarian argument,
namely the denial that there is any moral justification for punishment other than preventing further
suffering. This argument seems counter intuitive surely the wrongdoer must get his just deserts?
What would justice mean if some wrongdoers were to go unpunished simply because no deterrent
effect could be demonstrated? Conversely, and more seriously, there would certainly be occasions
when innocent men would have to be punished for the sake of the greater good for example, in that
case where an atrocious crime has been committed and the authorities failed to find the perpetrator

Benefits Of High Intensity Power Training
In today s society, the overall trend and goal is to become fit and to reduce common
health risks such as obesity and diabetes. Many new programs have been developed to provide
people with the resources and community to achieve their goal of fitness. CrossFit is an example
of a recent exercise trend that have been exploding in popularity. CrossFit is a program created
by Greg Glassman and Lauren Jenai in 1996 but was not established until 2000. The original
CrossFit gym was brought up in Santa Cruz, California. Despite positive ratings, the CrossFit
program has been investigated for elevated risk of injuries and health. CrossFit gained popularity
across the world as a competitive fitness sport that promote a carried and high intensity workout
regimen incorporating elements of weightlifting, high intensity interval training, and gymnastics
(Lu et al.,2015). This program is practiced for weight loss, improvement of health related risks,
and improvement of body composition.
Some researchers proposed that high intensity power training that are CrossFit based can
improve maximal aerobic fitness and body composition of a person. Smith, Sommer, Starkoff,
and Devor (2013) designed a 10 week CrossFit program that consists of high intensity interval
training for their subjects. They studied 54 individuals that varied in fitness level and gender, but
only 43 (23 men, 20 women) completed the training. The researchers found that the program

What is the first thing you think of when you hear about wolves? For Farley he sees them as being

Volatility within Electronic Communication Essay
Volatility within Electronic Communication
It has been noticed on several different forums for several decades that communicating on the
internet can be downright mean. Anonymity, lack of accountability, absence of visual cues, and
perceived distance has led to the increased hostility and rudeness on internet social media. This
uncivil communication has also been shown to hurt the perpetrator more than it hurts whoever is on
the receiving end (Rope, n.d.). As a result, it has been determined that face to face communication
is more productive and healthy than communication via electronic formats for all parties involved
in the conversation.
This volatile communication is not a recent development following the explosive growth of ... Show

An additional factor that makes virtual communication so misunderstood is that a part of the
message, the sender s tonality and body language, is removed in virtual communication, thus
removing a large part of the overall message. Just think about this for a moment, remove eye to
eye contact, the emphasis or urgency in the voice of the sender, or even a simple roll of the eyes.
People are accustom to communicating face to face, allowing them to pick up on the subtle cues
that body language gives during conversation. By not seeing the body language involved, large
portion of the message is not sent, received or understood, thus changing the meaning of the
message, and quite possible drastically in certain cases. Gardner states in her article, Troll
Psychology: Why People Are So Mean on the Internet, that when humans are faced with guesswork
and ambiguity, they often perceive it as threatening and react accordingly (page 1). Overall, the
message that Gardner is attempting to convey here is, that when important, yet subtle, cues are
removed, the human brain reverts to its basic survival instincts of fight or flight. In doing this, the
message is taken as a threat, and the receiver reacts accordingly with a negative retort.
Not only can communication lack the needed cues given by body language, but often times reader
comments following a factual news story can alter what other readers may think about the

Comparison and Contrast
In the name Allah
Professor: Dr.Bahman Amani
Prepared by: Akbar Akbari

Date: May 6th 2010
вќ– Definition: To compare is to show how items are alike. To contrast is to show how items are
different. Thus comparison and contrast involve pointing out the similarities or differences between
two (or more) items.
In deciding what to compare or contrast, you will want to make sure that the items share points in
common. Thus, the items compared are usually the same kind or class of thing, and in comparing
and contrasting them, you essentially establish two or more categories, showing the differences or
similarities between or among them. For example, you can compare two passenger cars a Ford and
a Cadillac ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But your readers will probably want to know what the similarity or difference amounts to. You can
write this for a thesis. However, once you ve noted the difference, the readers will see that you ve
merely stated the obvious. Thus comparison and contrast for its own sake is generally pointless, but
both are extremely useful to develop support for a thesis. To support the thesis statement we should
outline central paragraphs.
вќ– Central paragraph organization:
When you have decided whether to concentrate on comparison or contrast, you still must decide
how to do it. You should organize your comparison or contrast by whichever method suits your
material best. There are three different methods of organization of central paragraph: 1) Point by
point or alternating method 2) Block method 3) Mixed method
1) Point by point or alternating method: In this method you explain one characteristic of item A and
then immediately compare it with that of item B and then you go on to compare the two items
point by point. For example when you want to contrast two brands of automobile e. g. Nissan and
Toyota to decide which to buy, you will consider such subtopics (elements) as price, mile per gallon,
length and width, comfort, and maintenance expense. Thus the organizational type will be:

Petrol Station Scene Analysis
In the Petrol Station scene, William Shakespeare s important theme of violence is amplified and
discussed through Baz Luhrmann s filmic interpretation. The theme of conflict between the
Montagues and the Capulets is a constant and crucial idea throughout the play. Baz Luhrmann has
highlighted the traditional Shakespearean language by modifying the setting to a modern context,
therefore the audience is able to relate to the text. Furthermore, the setting choice of a petrol station
provides the film with the ability to effectively enhance the dramatic language revealed in the play.

The relentless and dangerous feud between the Montagues and Capulets is elaborated in Romeo +
Juliet through the contrast in tone, speed and style of music when these two different parties are
introduced. The Montagues are introduced with is light and airy music, however, the music is
altered to a heavy western style when the Capulets enter the scene. The musical elements create
anticipation among the audience as they foreshadow the imminent fight. Furthermore, the
distinctive difference in race between the Latino Capulet boys and Anglo Saxon Montague boys
represents and symbolises the conflict between the two houses. Reinforcing the ongoing war
between the Montagues and Capulets, Baz Luhrmann has applied corresponding camera shots of
the two contrasting family crests which are opposite primary colours. Therefore, Luhrmann
makes reference to the conflict theme exploited in Shakespeare s work. (link) Baz Luhrmann has

My primary goal for the Follow Up Period of the Behavior Reduction Exercise was to maintain my

In his article, Reciprocity and the Power of Giving, Lee Cronk discusses the different cultural
meanings placed upon the act of gift giving. The act of exchanging of gifts has many unique
implications, which are based on the culture of the giver and the recipient. Cronk discusses the idea
of reciprocity, which is the expectance of exchange associated with gift giving. Cronk brings up the
example of Indian Gifts which was a term that white settlers connected to the Native American
people s expectation of receiving an equivalent gift after being given one. This expectation is rooted
into the culture of the Native American people, which was misunderstood by the settlers. The real

Summary Of The Lost Colony Of Roanoke
Years before Jamestown, in 1587 a man named John White and 117 men, women, and children
sailed from England to the coast of what is now North Carolina. They did this in hopes of
starting a new colony on the untenated territory of Roanoke Island. They established a temporary
understanding with the native islanders and consummated the first baby in the New World, but
soon afterwards problems arose. Supplies were quickly becoming scarce and issues started to
arise between the settlers and the natives of the land. White returned to England in despair asking
for help from Sir Walt Raleigh who had been the sponsor of the expedition. While he was
successful in his voyage to convince Sir Walt by the time of his return all the settlers had vanished
off the face of the Island.
James Horn, a historian at the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation writes the story of Roanoke colony
onto paper in this intriguing book, A Kingdom Strange The Brief And Tragic History Of The Lost
Colony Of Roanoke Horn presents a persuasive hypothesis for what he believes must have
happened to the settlers that were said to have vanished. Using accessible information and resources
Horn concluded that the settlers did not in fact vanish or die, but rather just intermingle with the
natives of the land. Horn proves his theories in his book by introducing a new perspective on how
the settlers intermixed with the natives and were discovered centuries later by returning colonists.

Abstract:
The productivity decline in the construction industry in recent years is mainly due to the schedule
and cost overruns, poor coordination between the project participants and ineffective planning.
Integrated project delivery (IPD) solves these issues by integrating project participants, processes,

The paper ends with a discussion on the pros and cons of Integrated Project Delivery followed by
future scope of the same.
Introduction
An Integrated Project Delivery team consists of key project stakeholders who come together during
the commencement of the project to set up a open collaborative process. As opposed to traditional
delivery methods, Integrated Project Delivery is a concurrent and mutli level leading to sharing of
knowledge and expertise. Much of this sharing happens through the digital media through Building
Information Modeling. This is a very comfortable means to share resources amongst the team. Thus,
the process builds a lot of stakeholder trust and respect where success and risks are shared amongst
everyone. Beyond all these benefits, Integrated Project Delivery presents a lot of positive
propositions to the major stakeholders, the owners, the constructors and the designers by bringing
them together very early into the process and the resulting a better understanding of the goals, the
logistics, the cost and the timeline of the project. Integrated Project Delivery, thus adds the
following characteristics to a project.
1.Mutual Trust: All involved parties are brought together at the start itself to build trust and make
them understand each other s strengths and weaknesses.

Elizabeth Browning Research Paper
Elizabeth Barrett Browning was born March 6th, 1806 in Durham, England, and passed June
29th, 1861 in Florence, Italy. Browning s death is likely caused by an incurable disorder that
plagued all three sisters in her family, except only lasted with her. Her everlasting suffrage since
the age of thirteen when the symptoms first developed explains why she asked her husband,
Robert Browning, whom she dedicated her poetry, to neither love me for thine own dear pity s
wiping my cheeks dry . To continue, Elizabeth s father did not wish for any of his children to
marry, which Elizabeth was seemingly compliant with, being an invalid thirty nine year old.
Therefore, Elizabeth s father and brothers were quick to disapprove when Robert arrived, deeming

They stood by each other s side with a sense of pleasant ease until Elizabeth s death. In fact, even
after Elizabeth s death, Robert Browning remained a widower, instead of remarrying, and even
kept Elizabeth s ring on his watch chain, proving their love would go on, through love s eternity .
During their time together, the couple had a son in 1849 when Elizabeth was already forty three
years old; this was particularly unusual since the average woman during the Victorian Era had five
children, plus the life expectancy was 40! With Robert s avid support and encouragement,
Browning published her most renowned work in 1850, Sonnets from the Portuguese, chronicling

Trumpeter Swan Research Paper
The Trumpeter Swan is an immense waterfowl with a heavy body and long neck; they can
stretch to 6 feet in length and can weigh more than 25 pounds. These waterfowl can be found in
North America, Alaska, and Canada. They are known as one of the heaviest flying birds and are
almost twice as big as a Tundra Swan. The color pattern they are known for is their entirely white
body and black legs and bill. Immatures are a grayish brown with a mottled bill that is black at the
base. During migration, the Trumpeter Swan can be confused with the Tundra Swan. A few ways
in which they differ is that the juvenile swan s plumage persists until spring migration, they have
narrower heads, and are larger.
These birds once nested over most of North America but began to disappear due to human
disturbance. However, due to conservation efforts that have been focused on reintroducing the
species, they are having a healthy comeback. Trumpeter Swans inhabit ponds, lakes, and rivers; in
winter, they may even inhabit bays. Historically, they seemed to favor fresh water over salt water,
but that description no longer applies to them. They forage in shallow water and on land, and will

They would migrate as far south as Texas and California. In 1960, their breeding range was also
said to stretch as far as Missouri and Nebraska. However, in the 1930s, fewer than 100 swans
remained in Canada. Their rapid disappearance started in the 1600s, when hunters began to
overhunt them for their meat, skin, and feathers. By the late 1800s, their populations were
decimated. It was also assumed that the loss of muskrats and beavers harmed Trumpeter Swan
populations due to the fact they use their dens and dams. However, due to conservation projects,
the species were able to recover by the early 2000s. They are now being reintroduced to certain
areas, such as Minnesota, Wisconsin, Ohio, and

or other powerful government leaders. The meeting took place in a wealthy area in Berlin on a
lake that was named Wannsee. The final solution to the jewish question was the focus of the
meeting. The term final solution was the phrase used by the Nazi s for their plan for the
extermination of all European Jews. This meeting was the first time that the government leaders not

There was not a single person present at the conference that opposed the final solution . A modern
country had never made a plan to wipe out an entire race. There was fifteen men that attended the
Wannsee conference most of which were highly ranked Nazi officials and others were crucial
government leaders in Germany that helped the Nazi s complete their plan. Among the agencies
represented were the Department of Justice, the Foreign Ministry, the Gestapo, the SS, the Race

meeting was a representative of the General Government, the Polish occupation administration,
whose territory included more than 2 million Jews. The head of Heydrich s office for Jewish
affairs, Adolf Eichmann, prepared the conference notes. (Michael Berenbaum). All the men at the
conference knew that their cooperation was essential for the plan to run smoothly. For all the men
at the conference more than half of them received doctorate degrees from universities in Germany.
The Nazi s didn t need to do much convincing of the non Nazi government leaders of letting them

Personal Core Values And Beliefs
Situation
Where s the line between keeping your board informed and burdening the board with running the
day to day business?
Personal Core Values and Beliefs
It is important for board members to have some insight into the day to day operations of the
organization since they technically are volunteers and donors. They dedicate time to governing the
organization and financially contribute their own money and/or encourage others to do so.
However, board members are generally busy people who do not have the time for all of the minute
details. They want the overview to make the necessary decisions on behalf of the organization and
not be overwhelmed with details and the normal tasks that the staff would handle.
I am running into the lack of nonprofit board understanding by my board members. They believe
that I have the ability to oversee the organization, much like a CEO and President of a for profit
venture can. Therefore, I believe that most of them have no interest or time to really assist with
day to day operations, and I am accepting of that since I believe that their connections and networks
will provide great value.
Nonprofit Industry Norms and Standards
In the nonprofit industry, the board of directors serve as public trustees accountable to the public at
large for the governance of the organization. The board is tasked with the fiduciary duties of duty
of care, duty of loyalty, and duty of obedience (Standards for Excellence, 2014). To fulfill the duty

Eric Nitsch Biography
The Viennese Actionist Hermann Nitsch, born in 1938 in Vienna, is one of the most radical
artists of contemporary Austria. As a painter, performer, and composer, Nitsch has maintained a
particular focus on subjects such as ritual, religion, destruction, or the idea of art itself. Thus, since
the late 50s, he executed a number of actions, beginning with the Theater of Orgy and Mystery
(1957), a transgressive six day event conceived as a total work of art, aimed to be the greatest and
most important celebration of man . Around the same time, he developed an idea of painting
performance, for the first time shown at the Museum of Technique in Vienna (1960). The following
years Nitsch remained equally controversial and prominent as an artist, just to note his several court
trials, and at the same time a number of public appearances, including performances, exhibitions,
and symposia, what led his work to be featured at the esteemed group shows, such as Documenta in

The Greatest Day Of My Life
Everyone needs some form of escape from reality. While this varies from person to person, with
the entertainment business booming, it is safe to infer that many find their comfort with movie
theatres. Many of these people like to be engulfed by the story of their movie. My escape,
however, comes from just being inside the theatre. There is something magical about theatres
that keeps bringing me back. The first time I vividly remember going to the movies was when
the second Harry Potter movie released. I finally watched the first movie on our brand new
DVD player and read the four books that had been released. When the Saturday came to go to
the Edwards in Irvine, I woke up extra early to make terrible pancakes for everybody (this is also
a time when I wanted to be a chef). I begged my parents to take to me to the nearby 7 11 to buy
all the candy that we were going to sneak in the theatre. I knew that this was going to be the
greatest day of my life. While I know now my parents were reluctant to spend all that money, I
know that today they would not change a thing. Going to the movies in the early 2000 s for my
family meant more than just watching a movie. With my mother working two jobs and my
father deploying every other year to different parts of the world as a Marine, these Saturdays were a
very rare occasion. Not only do I get to watch a movie, I get to spend a whole day with my family
hopping from movie to movie. There were no fights, no problems, and no worries.

trip to the library I began to notice how many books were laying around our house. Majority of
them belonged to my two older sisters. I can remember all the times I came into our apartment
from a long day of playing to find my sisters laying on the couch reading books. When I was
younger, that didn t mean much to me but it was when I wanted to be just like my sisters when I
took up reading. I began reading all the books out of our personal library, and checking out
books with my library card. I took reading up because of my surroundings and I thought it was a
norm for everybody in your household to read and occasionally watch Law Order SUV. By my

In his article Reversal of Fortune: Rahab the Israelite and Achan the Canaanite Frank Anthony
Spina discusses what it means to be an Israelite or a Canaanite, and he highlights an instance in
Joshua where roles are reversed: a Canaanite becomes an Israelite and an Israelite becomes like a

Spina comments, She knows the king s mind. She even seems to anticipate where the king s men
will search for the Israelite spies, so she sends the spies into the hills. She also knows the mind of
the Canaanite people including what they know about Israel and what they most fear. Even as she
is the quintessential Canaanite, Rahab has been enlightened to the God of the Israelites. In the
original Hebrew she uses the name Yahweh, which is a more personal and very Israelite name for
God. She knows the Israelite conquer of Canaan is more than just militaristic, that it is ritualistic
with holy inspiration. Spina notes, Rahab knows that Yahweh your God is God in heaven above
and on earth below. The phrase God in heaven above is used by only three biblical figures: Moses,
Solomon, and Rahab. What a combination!
Rahab stands as a symbol of the temptations the Israelites will face because of the idols of
Canaan. (Think of the phrase whoring after idols used repeatedly in the Old Testament.) She,
however, protects the Israelite spies and, as evidenced by Joshua 6:25, is eventually assimilated
into Israel. But Joshua spared Rahab the prostitute, with her family and all who belonged to her,
because she hid the men Joshua had sent as spies to Jericho and she lives among the Israelites to
this day. She becomes one of the children of God. Her role is

recently struck down that made same sex activity illegal. Some laws were called the Sodomy
Laws, which means any sexual activity that goes against nature, were struck down as well with
these other laws. Even though it is considered immoral by many, Civil unions should be

recognizing them. The point is the government should legally recognize Civil Unions as the

He rationalizes that each eye produces the image of the object viewed in a different location,
which produces depth; though the problem with this phenomenon is that it is not producible
through paint. There is only one canvas for which the viewer to see, but they are looking at an
image through two eyes. Being able to get around this drawback of paint frustrated the man to
no end. Ultimately, he knew that there was no way around the fact that a painting could never
be an exact copy of what the eyes can see, but he never stopped trying to fake it as best he could.
The device he came up with was brilliant, and simple: to blur the objects in the background in
order to give a lifelike focus on the object which he wanted the viewer to look at. This had never
been done before, as there was emphasis on making sure every nuance of detail was correct.
Leonardo understood that by looking at each object in his field of view separately created a fake
observation, since when he was actually focused on one subject, his eyes could not focus on the
area around them. With the desire to understand proportion, there was a curiosity for geometry, and
by learning the methods behind this math form, Leonardo s work benefitted greatly. By

The Effects Of Groundwater Pollution On The World
Groundwater pollution is a prominent problem in most areas of the world. High nitrate
concentrations have been identified as one of the main culprits of groundwater pollution.
Agriculture is a primary anthropogenic source involved in the spreading and distribution of
nitrates in rural areas. China is considered one of the largest in terms of agricultural production. As
the population of China increased over time, the recycling of plant nutrients could no longer renew
the loss of nutrients from harvesting. The famine between 1960 and 1970 caused radical changes
when it came to policies about population control and large efforts were made to increase
agricultural yields. This was encouraged by increasing the application rate of chemical fertilizers,
especially ones that were nitrogen based (Emteryd, Lu and Nykyist, 1998). However, higher
irrigationand nitrogen fertilizerinputs results in decreased water and nitrogen use efficiency (Hu,
Li, and Chen, 2010). Currently China is the leading producer of rice, wheat onion cabbage and the
second largest producer of corn (See Appendix). Presently the average annual nitrogen fertilizer
application is 200 kg N/ha in China (Zhang, Xu, XIaomin, Dong and Ballantine, 2013). As a result
of this, China unsurprisingly suffers from large amounts of nitratepollution in its groundwater,
especially in northern China. The main focus of this paper will therefore be on the North China
Plain and the provinces surrounding the Yangtze River as

Use Of Trigger Point Dry Needling
Introduction Trigger point dry needling (TDN) is a treatment in which practitioners insert thin,
sterile filiform needles into patients for the purpose of pain relief by stimulating underlying
myofascial trigger points, muscles, tendons, and connective tissues. This technique is not only used
for the management of neuromuscular painrelief, but it is also used to treat movement impairments
and dysfunctions in skeletal muscle, fascia, and connective tissue. Dry needling is also
implemented in clinical practice for the purpose of reducing and eventually restoring impairments
of body structure and function (American Physical Therapy Association [APTA], 2013). These
purposes for dry needling eventually lead to improved activity and function... Show more content on

Janet Travell, M.D. and Dr. David Simons, M.D., called the Myofascial Pain and Dysfunction:
Trigger Point Manual. The studies of dry needling as a pain relief modality by Travell and Simons
began in the 1940s, but were published in this manual much later in1992 and edited in 1999 for the
manual s second edition. In this book, Dr. Travell and Simons introduce this new term of dry
needling in order to differentiate between two techniques of trigger point therapy. They used wet
needling, which referred to the injection of a local anesthetic using a hypodermic needle, and they
also used this new technique of dry needling, which referred to the insertion of the hypodermic
needle into the myofascial trigger point without the injection of any medication or anesthetic
(Travell, Simons Simons, 1999). Myofascial trigger points, colloquially referred to as knots , are
classified as hyperirritable spots within a taut band of contracted skeletal muscle fibers that
produce local and/or referred pain when stimulated (APTA, 2013). In the infancy of their studies,
Travell and Simons preferred the use of the hypodermic needle and never used filiform needles.
They believed that the filiform needle was too thin and not strong enough for dry needling;
preference was given to the hypodermic needle because of its superior strength and the tactile
feedback that it provided at the time. In the beginning of

Florida Hospital And The United States
Florida Hospital has grown to be one of the largest healthcare providers in the United States.
Impressively, Florida Hospital had a very humble beginning and a modest growth. In 1908, a
small group of Seventh Day Adventists in Orlando developed their vision of bringing health care to
the area. As part of their philanthropy, they were able to raise the funds necessary to purchase

the capacity to care for 20 patients at any given time.
During the 1950s, Florida Hospital transformed its two story farm house to a structure that was
able to care for 160 patients. They were able to make improvements to the facility, such as air
conditioning, that allowed for year round care to patients. With each purchase of new facilities in
the decades to follow, Florida Hospital has grown to over 20 hospitals large, providing services to
many people who live in Central Florida and the surrounding areas. This has allowed the network
to include many leaders in their respective fields to offer care to patients in many different
specialized areas.
The mission of Florida Hospital was developed with inspiration from the study of scripture. Since
the founders of Florida Hospital, the Seventh day Adventist Church, were faith based, the mission
became to extend the healing ministry of Christ. This mission drives

The Epic Of Gilgamesh, And The Mahabharata
The journey, the hero, the triumph, and the defeat are all elements that some of literatures
greatest works have encaptured, such as: the Ramayana, The Epic of Gilgamesh, and the
Mahabharata. Each of these texts depicts a hero or protagonist that is unique to their culture
and although each of these heroes embark on a different journey with different purposes and
goals in mind, they all display a variety of features that people of then and now can relate to. It
becomes transparent that each of the journeys these heroes undertake are a lot like that of the
lives of people today. The Epic of Gilgamesh is one of the oldest pieces of literature known to
man. Written in 2700 B.C.E this epic poem centers in on an ancient king of Uruk in present day
Iraq. When we are first introduced to Gilgamesh, the king of Uruk, we see that he is a tyrant
ruler which is one third human, two thirds divine and in endowed with immense strength.
Instead of serving his people he suppresses them and engages in immoral behaviors fit for a king.
The behaviors result in a backlash from his citizens and the nobles began to complain bitterly
about these behaviors. The gods eventually intervene and in order to tame Gilgamesh s wild spirit
they create his equal, Enkidu, whose purpose in this epic poem is to help guide Gilgamesh in
becoming a better person and a better king for his people. Before Gilgamesh is introduced to
Enkidu there is little in his life that offers meaning to him, yet he still

American Personal Space
In American society, personal space is valued and is seen as a right that is expected to be given to
everyone. The physical closeness allowed between individuals is determined by the degree of their
relationship. In a public environment such as restaurants and other eating establishments, people
sitting together in a table often are familiar and comfortable enough with each other to allow
themselves to be near in proximity to other people. Those people sitting together may be family
members, friends, or acquaintances willing to get to know one another. Because of this norm that
we carry in the United States, rarely do we in real life see someone voluntarily sitting with a total
stranger in randomness without the other finding the person

Pantene Advertising Analysis
Strong is Beautiful is the slogan that Selena Gomez is promoting in her Pantene advertisement in
Good Housekeeping. It is indeed an excellent slogan that sells the brand well and promotes the
importance of self image, but is what the 3 Minute Miracle Moisture Renewal actually strong or is
it manipulating young women? Reading the fine print and understanding a product for what it
actually is will allow costumers to better avoid being swindled by crafty advertisements using
beautiful women and empowering slogans. The Pantene Ad being analyzed uses the fame of actress
and music artist Selena Gomezto persuade readers through ethos. It obviously targets a younger
generation through Selena Gomez, as she was a Disney star growing up, starring in things such
as Wizards of Waverley Place and Mickey Mouse Club House. Now Gomez stands as an icon for
strong females as she was recently named by Billboard Magazine the 2017 Woman of the Year,
(Wariner). Pantene even goes as far as to make her the major focus of the advertisement by
making her cover approximately 80% of the page, thusly selling Selena Gomez as part of the brand.

Pantene continues the establishment of comfort by using the non threatening color white and by
using a rounded font. Had the font been a crimson red or with sharp corners in the font, the
advertisement would feel combative or as if it was working to grab attention by surprise.
Bolstering the advertisements attempt to appeal to readers through pathos, the word Beautiful
from the phrase Strong is Beautiful is in the same shade of brushed gold as the Pantene logo and
moisturizing bottle. The font on Gomez s hair is also in all caps, once again trying to convey that
idea of strength and confidence that Pantene has been planting in the subconscious of the readers of

End Of Life Care Ethical Analysis
Ethical Issues in End of Life Care Affecting Nurses As nurses we deal with end of life care
(EOLC) ethical issues on a daily basis in our practice, yet we often fail to identify and recognize
how this issues affect nurses. Jameton (1984) describes moral distress as when one knows the right
thing to do, but institutional restraints make it nearly impossible to pursue the right course of
action. Jameton (1984) also identified that nurses often seem unaware of moral distress experience
in themselves, and listed symptoms of moral distress as nurses describing a feelings of stress,
burnout, emotional exhaustion and job dissatisfaction.

Descriptive Essay About Soccer Game
Personally I will have no relation to playing in an actual collegiate soccer game or sport for that
matter. Yet I have many good friends of mine who actually play college soccer, more specifically
I choose to do a team to narrow down on my topic. I was gladly able to go and observe the
Colorado Mesa University boys soccer team. The game was a semi final against Fort Lewis. If
the Mesa soccer team was able to get a victory over Fort Lewis then they would move on to the
championship game and possibly win the RMAC tournament, that they have one previously last
year. This game took place at the Colorado School of Mines University, on a cold night. I arrive
and we pay to get in, we head over to the bleachers where all the parents, friends, and students are
sitting at. They begin the night with the national anthem, and then we all take a stand. Once that
is over with it s now game time. The Mesa soccer boys get into a circle and start there team ritual,
which is to sing a chant that they always sing. The chat is the Ole ole ole song, after that is over
the starting eleven head to the field. The referee gives one last look at everyone to see if they are
ready for stats, time, and announcements. So the referee blows the whistle and that starts the time
and the moment of play. You start to hear all the parents at different times start cheering on their
teams. Everyone on the bleachers is covered up in blankets and jackets, as well as the school spirit
wear. You can see everyone

Essay on The American Automotive Industry
The American automotive industry has led the American economy for many years. This industry
has shaped our development, and influenced American culture and social mores. Now, ensnared by
globalization and other dominant factors, it faces a difficult reality. The American automotive
industry significantly impacted the lives of Americans. Detroit s Big Three had the most significant
roles in this. Chrysler, Ford, and General Motors were American symbols. They are credited for a
significant percentage of all American jobs; they put numerous blue collar families into the middle
class, and helped America cultivate into the giant of the twentieth century. Unfortunately, the fabled
automotive firms are not what they once were and are traveling... Show more content on

This was the beginning of a new era in automotive history. Before this time, fuel consumption and
air quality was not demanded by the American consumer. Due to the fact that foreign car
manufacturers perceive to have the edge on fuel efficiency and emission standards, the foreign
industry has an advantage in that sector of automotives. The American industry is capable of taking
over by creating alternative energy sources. Alternative energy sources for cars, such as natural
gas, electricity, ethanol, vegetable oil, sunlight, and water, contend for consumer use. The US
pioneered the alternative fuel source in 1996 when GM released the EV1, an emission free car. In
2004 the Ford Motor Company became the first U.S. automaker to produce a hybrid vehicle. The
Ford Escape Hybrid, introduced for the 2005 model year, was both the first hybrid made in the
United States and the first hybrid sport utility vehicle. The US must pursue this area of research
into further development if it wants to regain control of the automotive industry.
The second factor that is contributing to the automotive industry s demise is our foreign trade
policy. This foreign trade policy is very lenient for alien countries. Our trade policy allows foreign
countries to avoid taxes and duties, while other countries have strict

Promoting a Skillful, Safe Cockpit Essay
On a cold February evening in 2009 two years ago, just outside the city of Buffalo, New York, two
pilots crashed a new aircraft on final approach to land into Buffalo Niagara International Airport. In
an effort to prevent an accident of a similar nature from happening, the U.S. Congress passed H.R.
5900 the Airline Safety and Federal Aviation Administration
Extension Act. This bill under Title II
was aimed to enhance airline safety and in part prevent an accident of this nature from occurring
again (U.S. House 2010, 3). Section 217 of bill pushes the minimum hours required to act as a
pilot on a regional carrier up to 1500 total flight hours as well as requires those persons to do an
extensive Air Transport Pilots examination. Although... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Asia s economy is booming and this boom has resulted in the growth of many startup carriers
that offer tax free salaries and free housing. The requirement to fly in Asia is a lot lower than
1,500 and the planes the pilots get to fly are a lot larger, certainly this is a very attractive
opportunity. The potential migration would cause many airlines to have planes but no one
qualified to fly them. Also, with the growing economy more people would have enough money to
fly instead of drive. Therefore, more positions would be available for entry level pilots.
In addition, the cost to become a pilot is already expensive causing low interest; this law would
just make it even worse. By calculation, if a potential pilot were to start today he would be
probably facing a debt of between $50,000 and $80,000 just to receive the flight training required
to gain 250 hours. (ibtimes) Added to this is the cost of attending a college with an accredited
program. Potential pilots could be looking at paying well over $200,000 in loans to be able to
fly. Before pilots were somewhat assured that once they work hard and pass through all the
training received from college and flight school they would be able to become a pilot with one of
the regional carriers and make a small salary until the

Greek Media Influence
Media Influence in Ancient and Modern Times Media has near complete control over social
attitudes, and constructs how people perceive each other as well as themselves. Things have not
changed since the original Doryphoros of Polykelitos and the Knidian Aphrodite of Praxiteles were
created. Both were constructed during times in which statues that were commissioned and
displayed to the public were awe inspiring as well as subtly influencing how the viewers see the
world. These iconic statues have been analyzed by scholars for centuries, slowly picking apart
every detail in an attempt to understand how the ancient Greeks constructed and controlled the
behavior of citizens. In their appearance and context, the Doryphoros and Knidian Aphrodite both...

In Revealing Aphrodite, Nigel Spivey describes the nude Knidian Aphrodite of Praxiteles and its
cultural legacy in the understanding of societal expectations of ancient Greek women.
Respected women were depicted fully clothes, adorned with jewelry and sometimes presenting
an offering to the gods. Only sex workers, typically slaves or the educated hetairai/courtesans,
and at times certain goddesses, appeared nude in art, but these representations did not convey
the same power as the Doryphoros does for men. The common theme amongst all the depictions
of women in art, is the passivity of their nature. For instance, the Knidian Aphrodite catches the
goddess in a moment of vulnerability. Her shoulders are hunched, hand covering her genetalia in
an attempt at modesty and her passive posture does not inspire as much as the Doryphoros. The
Knidian Aphrodite s body language does not yield as much power or control to onlookers as the
Doryphoros, but is meant to entice and distract as women are said to do. Spivey suggests this is
due to the stigma against women embodying Aphrodite, goddess of love and desire, and taking on
the roles patroned by Demeter, goddess of the harvest and motherhood (Spivey, 177). The
juxtaposition of these goddesses speaks to how it is up to women to, in a sense, bring themselves
up by straying away

DOST PTRI turned difficult to remove stains from these husks into a textile dye called coconut

seda and piГ±a while it produces an old rose color on cotton. They also established colorfastness,
laundering and light ratings of the dyed materials and found these to be satisfactory for all these
types. Coconut husks potential to impart red color comes as a necessary indulgence for textile
manufacturers who use in great quantities the non colorfast red dye from sibukao (Caesalpinnia

different locations produce varying shades of red. This required thus hue and color tint matching
capabilities and adjustments in the dyeing parameters. In addition, DOST PTRI found that
coconuts from high elevations yield almost no color compared with coconuts from coastals and
low lying areas. This new use for young coconut husks holds promise for additional income for
farmers. Likewise, the new technique s requirement for compulsory chopping of husks before
extraction facilitates rapid decomposition. This reduces the risk of clogging of waterways and
drainage systems along coconut processing

The Issue Of Saudi Arabia Essay
Saudi Arabia earns around $360bn annually net exports; this is at $115 per barrel (The
Economist,2014) This will be half if the price remains at $60 per barrel. The budget is now at
the red line, and this is a catastrophe, since it will be decades to revive from such economic
mess. In the short run, there will be no big deal, the country may go deep in the pocket to
finance its budget, while in the medium term, it will hurt the economy, leading to less
expenditures. This may not go well with the outlook of the citizens. Long term effect may be
taxation, and less expenditure. The expenditure may be cut down as it was in mid 1980s, and
this will be a draconian austerity to face. The exorbitant political patronage as it has been in the
Sunni world will face rough times to prop up the likes of Egypt. The only item that still holds
them together in this medieval regime may be the social spending, but still there is terrorist
attacks and Yemen invasion, reported by Forbes (2015). The current reserves may go down by
close or more than $200bn in the year 2018, and this will cause capital flight. The current trap is
hard and dealing with Russia alone to cut on the output alone will bring more shale production in
the years to come.
The resilience of Saudi Arabia to cut back the output of oil led to more supply in the market,
leading to low prices. This can be seen as an agenda in long term basis (INSS, 2015). They are
prepared more than enough to deplete their reserves, while in the

Mercantilism Analysis
Adam Smith and David Hume were the founding fathers of anti mercantilist thought. There were
number of scholars who found many limitation of mercantilism even before Adam Smith developed
his theory that could fully substitute it. The criticism made by Dudley North, David Hume, and
John Locke eroded much of mercantilismand because of which it uncertainly lost its favour during
the 18th century. In the year 1969, John Locke made an agreement that prices differ in proportion
to the quantity of money. The second treatise made by John Locke also pointed out towards the
heart of the anti mercantilist, the critique was that the wealth of the world is not fixed, but is
created by human labor (represented by John Locke in his unformed labor... Show more content on

Adam Smith noted at the core of the mercantile system was the, popular folly of confusing wealth
with money, bullion was just same as other any commodity, so there was no reason to give it any
special treatment. . More recently, scholars have discounted the accuracy of this critique. They
believe Mun and Misselden were not making this mistake in the 1620s, and point to their
followers Josiah Child and Charles Davenant, who, in 1699, wrote: Gold and Silver are indeed the
Measure of Trade, but that the Spring and Original of it, in all nations is the Natural or Artificial
Product of the Country; that is to say, what this Land or what this Labour and Industry Produces.
The critique that mercantilism was a form of rent seeking has also seen criticism, as scholars such
Jacob Viner in the 1930s point out that merchant mercantilists such as Mun understood that they
would not gain by higher prices for English wares abroad.
The first school to completely reject mercantilism was the physiocrats, who developed their theories
in France. Their theories also had several important problems, and the replacement of mercantilism
did not come until Adam Smith published The Wealth of Nations in 1776. This book outlines the
basics of what is today known as classical economics. Smith spends a considerable portion of the
book rebutting the arguments of the mercantilists,

The functional components of the US healthcare delivery system. The U.S healthcare system is large and varied. The component of running the system allows for quality control, making new polices, enforcing said polices, and monitoring the different aspects of the healthcare delivery system (Barton, 2010, p. 7). The different branches of the healthcare system allow for people from every level of the finance scale to seek medical care (Barton, 2010, p. 7). As the son of the Montague, Romeo, reveals his presence in a Capulet party, Tybalt flares with rage, declaring to Lord Capulet, That men there s a Montague, our foe. A villain who has come here in spite to mock at our celebration tonight. (I.v.62 64). Tybaltconveys his irritation towards Lord Capulet, exhibiting his passion and devotion towards the conflict among the two families. Although the reason for Tybalt s frustration reaches Capulet, Capulet mentions how the Montagues can stay as long as they remain civil. Thus, originating a question in the reader s mind as to why people of the newer generation express more emotions... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, the inquiry at hand does not emphasize the hatred among the two houses, but instead, questions their reasoning for such an ongoing rivalry. Friar Lawrence additionally states, For this alliance may happily prove to end your families feud, their hate remove. (II.iii.96 97). Not only does the conflict between the households portray no viable reason, but it troubles those involved, such as the Montague, Friar Lawrence. Lord Capulet and Lord Montague may contain mindsets strictly based off the feud between them. Nevertheless, as elders, they display unawareness of the troubles the rivalry has brought to their peers as well as the disturbance it precipitates for thoughts of impartiality from youths. Moreover, the audience can infer how if these characters consider the thoughtless purpose of the conflict, problems would not have surfaced when Friar Lawrence marries Romeo and Juliet, where his only motive composes of the elimination of the Capulet Montague strife. Through the inclusion of an unknown purpose for the obstinate feud, William Shakespeare depicts a probable reason for the troubles and possible despair of various ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 6. The Function of Punishment Essay The Function of Punishment Justice must not only be done but seen to be done . Most would agree with this statement the wicked must surely be punished (or should they? do two wrongs make a right?) but why is it so important that the punishment must be seen to be done? To the utilitarian the answer is simple punishment must be witnessed in order to deter others from committing the same act. Thus, to a utilitarian the perception of punishment is seen as the main, or even the sole, justification for punishment. Of course, if the wrongdoer is sent to prison for any length of time he is incapacitated, and thus excluded from doing further harm. Further, while being punished there may be at least ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Taking that, by definition, punishment involves inflicting some kind of pain on the offender, the ideas of reform and incapacitation are largely seen as secondary to the main purpose of punishment to deter. The most well known proponents of utilitarianism have almost always justified punishment in terms of its deterrent effect. Bentham, for example, argued that apparent justice was everything, and real justice was essentially irrelevant. And John Stuart Mill, in defending the death penalty, stated that to deter by suffering by inflicting suffering is not only possible, but the very purpose of penal Justice. (Mill 1868). This leads to one of the main criticisms of the utilitarian argument, namely the denial that there is any moral justification for punishment other than preventing further suffering. This argument seems counter intuitive surely the wrongdoer must get his just deserts? What would justice mean if some wrongdoers were to go unpunished simply because no deterrent effect could be demonstrated? Conversely, and more seriously, there would certainly be occasions when innocent men would have to be punished for the sake of the greater good for example, in that case where an atrocious crime has been committed and the authorities failed to find the perpetrator ... • 9. Volatility within Electronic Communication Essay Volatility within Electronic Communication It has been noticed on several different forums for several decades that communicating on the internet can be downright mean. Anonymity, lack of accountability, absence of visual cues, and perceived distance has led to the increased hostility and rudeness on internet social media. This uncivil communication has also been shown to hurt the perpetrator more than it hurts whoever is on the receiving end (Rope, n.d.). As a result, it has been determined that face to face communication is more productive and healthy than communication via electronic formats for all parties involved in the conversation. This volatile communication is not a recent development following the explosive growth of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... An additional factor that makes virtual communication so misunderstood is that a part of the message, the sender s tonality and body language, is removed in virtual communication, thus removing a large part of the overall message. Just think about this for a moment, remove eye to eye contact, the emphasis or urgency in the voice of the sender, or even a simple roll of the eyes. People are accustom to communicating face to face, allowing them to pick up on the subtle cues that body language gives during conversation. By not seeing the body language involved, large portion of the message is not sent, received or understood, thus changing the meaning of the message, and quite possible drastically in certain cases. Gardner states in her article, Troll Psychology: Why People Are So Mean on the Internet, that when humans are faced with guesswork and ambiguity, they often perceive it as threatening and react accordingly (page 1). Overall, the message that Gardner is attempting to convey here is, that when important, yet subtle, cues are removed, the human brain reverts to its basic survival instincts of fight or flight. In doing this, the message is taken as a threat, and the receiver reacts accordingly with a negative retort. Not only can communication lack the needed cues given by body language, but often times reader comments following a factual news story can alter what other readers may think about the ... To contrast is to show how items are different. Thus comparison and contrast involve pointing out the similarities or differences between two (or more) items. In deciding what to compare or contrast, you will want to make sure that the items share points in common. However, once you ve noted the difference, the readers will see that you ve merely stated the obvious. Thus comparison and contrast for its own sake is generally pointless, but both are extremely useful to develop support for a thesis. To support the thesis statement we should outline central paragraphs. вќ– Central paragraph organization: When you have decided whether to concentrate on comparison or contrast, you still must decide how to do it. You should organize your comparison or contrast by whichever method suits your material best. There are three different methods of organization of central paragraph: 1) Point by point or alternating method 2) Block method 3) Mixed method 1) Point by point or alternating method: In this method you explain one characteristic of item A and then immediately compare it with that of item B and then you go on to compare the two items point by point. The theme of conflict between the Montagues and the Capulets is a constant and crucial idea throughout the play. Baz Luhrmann has highlighted the traditional Shakespearean language by modifying the setting to a modern context, therefore the audience is able to relate to the text. Furthermore, the setting choice of a petrol station provides the film with the ability to effectively enhance the dramatic language revealed in the play. The musical elements create anticipation among the audience as they foreshadow the imminent fight. • 16. Summary Of The Lost Colony Of Roanoke Years before Jamestown, in 1587 a man named John White and 117 men, women, and children sailed from England to the coast of what is now North Carolina. They did this in hopes of starting a new colony on the untenated territory of Roanoke Island. They established a temporary understanding with the native islanders and consummated the first baby in the New World, but soon afterwards problems arose. Supplies were quickly becoming scarce and issues started to arise between the settlers and the natives of the land. White returned to England in despair asking for help from Sir Walt Raleigh who had been the sponsor of the expedition. While he was successful in his voyage to convince Sir Walt by the time of his return all the settlers had vanished off the face of the Island. James Horn, a historian at the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation writes the story of Roanoke colony onto paper in this intriguing book, A Kingdom Strange The Brief And Tragic History Of The Lost Colony Of Roanoke Horn presents a persuasive hypothesis for what he believes must have happened to the settlers that were said to have vanished. Using accessible information and resources Horn concluded that the settlers did not in fact vanish or die, but rather just intermingle with the natives of the land. Horn proves his theories in his book by introducing a new perspective on how the settlers intermixed with the natives and were discovered centuries later by returning colonists. The main characters of the book are ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Introduction An Integrated Project Delivery team consists of key project stakeholders who come together during the commencement of the project to set up a open collaborative process. As opposed to traditional delivery methods, Integrated Project Delivery is a concurrent and mutli level leading to sharing of knowledge and expertise. Much of this sharing happens through the digital media through Building Information Modeling. This is a very comfortable means to share resources amongst the team. Thus, the process builds a lot of stakeholder trust and respect where success and risks are shared amongst everyone. Beyond all these benefits, Integrated Project Delivery presents a lot of positive propositions to the major stakeholders, the owners, the constructors and the designers by bringing them together very early into the process and the resulting a better understanding of the goals, the logistics, the cost and the timeline of the project. Integrated Project Delivery, thus adds the following characteristics to a project. 1.Mutual Trust: All involved parties are brought together at the start itself to build trust and make them understand each other s strengths and weaknesses. 2.Mutual Benefit and ... The color pattern they are known for is their entirely white body and black legs and bill. Immatures are a grayish brown with a mottled bill that is black at the base. During migration, the Trumpeter Swan can be confused with the Tundra Swan. A few ways in which they differ is that the juvenile swan s plumage persists until spring migration, they have narrower heads, and are larger. While this varies from person to person, with the entertainment business booming, it is safe to infer that many find their comfort with movie theatres. Many of these people like to be engulfed by the story of their movie. My escape, however, comes from just being inside the theatre. There is something magical about theatres that keeps bringing me back. The first time I vividly remember going to the movies was when the second Harry Potter movie released. I finally watched the first movie on our brand new DVD player and read the four books that had been released. When the Saturday came to go to the Edwards in Irvine, I woke up extra early to make terrible pancakes for everybody (this is also a time when I wanted to be a chef). I begged my parents to take to me to the nearby 7 11 to buy all the candy that we were going to sneak in the theatre. I knew that this was going to be the greatest day of my life. While I know now my parents were reluctant to spend all that money, I know that today they would not change a thing. Going to the movies in the early 2000 s for my family meant more than just watching a movie. With my mother working two jobs and my father deploying every other year to different parts of the world as a Marine, these Saturdays were a very rare occasion. Even as she is the quintessential Canaanite, Rahab has been enlightened to the God of the Israelites. He rationalizes that each eye produces the image of the object viewed in a different location, which produces depth; though the problem with this phenomenon is that it is not producible through paint. There is only one canvas for which the viewer to see, but they are looking at an image through two eyes. Being able to get around this drawback of paint frustrated the man to no end. Ultimately, he knew that there was no way around the fact that a painting could never be an exact copy of what the eyes can see, but he never stopped trying to fake it as best he could. The device he came up with was brilliant, and simple: to blur the objects in the background in order to give a lifelike focus on the object which he wanted the viewer to look at. This had never been done before, as there was emphasis on making sure every nuance of detail was correct. Leonardo understood that by looking at each object in his field of view separately created a fake observation, since when he was actually focused on one subject, his eyes could not focus on the area around them. With the desire to understand proportion, there was a curiosity for geometry, and by learning the methods behind this math form, Leonardo s work benefitted greatly. • 36. The Effects Of Groundwater Pollution On The World Groundwater pollution is a prominent problem in most areas of the world. High nitrate concentrations have been identified as one of the main culprits of groundwater pollution. Agriculture is a primary anthropogenic source involved in the spreading and distribution of nitrates in rural areas. China is considered one of the largest in terms of agricultural production. As the population of China increased over time, the recycling of plant nutrients could no longer renew the loss of nutrients from harvesting. The famine between 1960 and 1970 caused radical changes when it came to policies about population control and large efforts were made to increase agricultural yields. This was encouraged by increasing the application rate of chemical fertilizers, especially ones that were nitrogen based (Emteryd, Lu and Nykyist, 1998). However, higher irrigationand nitrogen fertilizerinputs results in decreased water and nitrogen use efficiency (Hu, Li, and Chen, 2010). Currently China is the leading producer of rice, wheat onion cabbage and the second largest producer of corn (See Appendix). Presently the average annual nitrogen fertilizer application is 200 kg N/ha in China (Zhang, Xu, XIaomin, Dong and Ballantine, 2013). As a result of this, China unsurprisingly suffers from large amounts of nitratepollution in its groundwater, especially in northern China. The main focus of this paper will therefore be on the North China Plain and the provinces surrounding the Yangtze River as ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 37. Use Of Trigger Point Dry Needling Introduction Trigger point dry needling (TDN) is a treatment in which practitioners insert thin, sterile filiform needles into patients for the purpose of pain relief by stimulating underlying myofascial trigger points, muscles, tendons, and connective tissues. This technique is not only used for the management of neuromuscular painrelief, but it is also used to treat movement impairments and dysfunctions in skeletal muscle, fascia, and connective tissue. Dry needling is also implemented in clinical practice for the purpose of reducing and eventually restoring impairments of body structure and function (American Physical Therapy Association [APTA], 2013). These purposes for dry needling eventually lead to improved activity and function... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Janet Travell, M.D. and Dr. David Simons, M.D., called the Myofascial Pain and Dysfunction: Trigger Point Manual. The studies of dry needling as a pain relief modality by Travell and Simons began in the 1940s, but were published in this manual much later in1992 and edited in 1999 for the manual s second edition. In this book, Dr. Travell and Simons introduce this new term of dry needling in order to differentiate between two techniques of trigger point therapy. They used wet needling, which referred to the injection of a local anesthetic using a hypodermic needle, and they also used this new technique of dry needling, which referred to the insertion of the hypodermic needle into the myofascial trigger point without the injection of any medication or anesthetic (Travell, Simons Simons, 1999). Myofascial trigger points, colloquially referred to as knots , are classified as hyperirritable spots within a taut band of contracted skeletal muscle fibers that produce local and/or referred pain when stimulated (APTA, 2013). In the infancy of their studies, Travell and Simons preferred the use of the hypodermic needle and never used filiform needles. They believed that the filiform needle was too thin and not strong enough for dry needling; preference was given to the hypodermic needle because of its superior strength and the tactile feedback that it provided at the time. • 38. Florida Hospital And The United States Florida Hospital has grown to be one of the largest healthcare providers in the United States. Impressively, Florida Hospital had a very humble beginning and a modest growth. In 1908, a small group of Seventh Day Adventists in Orlando developed their vision of bringing health care to the area. As part of their philanthropy, they were able to raise the funds necessary to purchase Florida Hospitals first facility near Lake Estelle. It was a two story farmhouse that had a wraparound porch and had once served those needing treatment for tuberculosis. The facility had the capacity to care for 20 patients at any given time. During the 1950s, Florida Hospital transformed its two story farm house to a structure that was able to care for 160 patients. They were able to make improvements to the facility, such as air conditioning, that allowed for year round care to patients. With each purchase of new facilities in the decades to follow, Florida Hospital has grown to over 20 hospitals large, providing services to many people who live in Central Florida and the surrounding areas. This has allowed the network to include many leaders in their respective fields to offer care to patients in many different specialized areas. The mission of Florida Hospital was developed with inspiration from the study of scripture. Since the founders of Florida Hospital, the Seventh day Adventist Church, were faith based, the mission became to extend the healing ministry of Christ. This mission drives ... The Epic Of Gilgamesh, And The Mahabharata The journey, the hero, the triumph, and the defeat are all elements that some of literatures greatest works have encaptured, such as: the Ramayana, The Epic of Gilgamesh, and the Mahabharata. Each of these texts depicts a hero or protagonist that is unique to their culture and although each of these heroes embark on a different journey with different purposes and goals in mind, they all display a variety of features that people of then and now can relate to. It becomes transparent that each of the journeys these heroes undertake are a lot like that of the lives of people today. The Epic of Gilgamesh is one of the oldest pieces of literature known to man. Written in 2700 B.C.E this epic poem centers in on an ancient king of Uruk in present day Iraq. When we are first introduced to Gilgamesh, the king of Uruk, we see that he is a tyrant ruler which is one third human, two thirds divine and in endowed with immense strength. Instead of serving his people he suppresses them and engages in immoral behaviors fit for a king. The behaviors result in a backlash from his citizens and the nobles began to complain bitterly about these behaviors. The gods eventually intervene and in order to tame Gilgamesh s wild spirit they create his equal, Enkidu, whose purpose in this epic poem is to help guide Gilgamesh in becoming a better person and a better king for his people. Before this time, fuel consumption and air quality was not demanded by the American consumer. Due to the fact that foreign car manufacturers perceive to have the edge on fuel efficiency and emission standards, the foreign industry has an advantage in that sector of automotives. The American industry is capable of taking over by creating alternative energy sources. Alternative energy sources for cars, such as natural gas, electricity, ethanol, vegetable oil, sunlight, and water, contend for consumer use. The US pioneered the alternative fuel source in 1996 when GM released the EV1, an emission free car. In 2004 the Ford Motor Company became the first U.S. automaker to produce a hybrid vehicle. The Ford Escape Hybrid, introduced for the 2005 model year, was both the first hybrid made in the United States and the first hybrid sport utility vehicle. The potential migration would cause many airlines to have planes but no one qualified to fly them. Also, with the growing economy more people would have enough money to fly instead of drive. Therefore, more positions would be available for entry level pilots. In addition, the cost to become a pilot is already expensive causing low interest; this law would just make it even worse. By calculation, if a potential pilot were to start today he would be probably facing a debt of between $50,000 and $80,000 just to receive the flight training required to gain 250 hours. In Revealing Aphrodite, Nigel Spivey describes the nude Knidian Aphrodite of Praxiteles and its cultural legacy in the understanding of societal expectations of ancient Greek women. Respected women were depicted fully clothes, adorned with jewelry and sometimes presenting an offering to the gods. Only sex workers, typically slaves or the educated hetairai/courtesans, and at times certain goddesses, appeared nude in art, but these representations did not convey the same power as the Doryphoros does for men. The common theme amongst all the depictions of women in art, is the passivity of their nature. For instance, the Knidian Aphrodite catches the goddess in a moment of vulnerability. Her shoulders are hunched, hand covering her genetalia in an attempt at modesty and her passive posture does not inspire as much as the Doryphoros. The Knidian Aphrodite s body language does not yield as much power or control to onlookers as the Doryphoros, but is meant to entice and distract as women are said to do. Spivey suggests this is due to the stigma against women embodying Aphrodite, goddess of love and desire, and taking on the roles patroned by Demeter, goddess of the harvest and motherhood (Spivey, 177). The juxtaposition of these goddesses speaks to how it is up to women to, in a sense, bring themselves up by straying away ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Adam Smith noted at the core of the mercantile system was the, popular folly of confusing wealth with money, bullion was just same as other any commodity, so there was no reason to give it any special treatment. . More recently, scholars have discounted the accuracy of this critique. They believe Mun and Misselden were not making this mistake in the 1620s, and point to their followers Josiah Child and Charles Davenant, who, in 1699, wrote: Gold and Silver are indeed the Measure of Trade, but that the Spring and Original of it, in all nations is the Natural or Artificial Product of the Country; that is to say, what this Land or what this Labour and Industry Produces.
