(Khongphatthanayothin, 2014)
History, presentation and physical exam are not consistent with syncope
Assessment:
H.R. is a 16y.o. adolescent female K/C of focal epilepsy. She is on monotherapy of Keppra XR 2000
mg nightly. Presented to the University of Michigan Pediatric Neurology Clinic, for follow up of her
epilepsy. No any new complain, she has remained seizure free since March 2017 on her current dose
of Keppra. Vitally stable and her examinations are unremarkable. Last vitamin D result was low, so we
started her on vitamin D 1000 units once daily. Her most recent EEG (Aug, 2017) was normal.
Plan:
1. Continue the same epilepsy medication regimen:
Keppra XR 2000 mg once nightly P.O (there is room to further optimize her dose of Keppra in the
future for breakthrough seizures)
Rescue medication: Diastat 17.5 mg rectally (for seizures 5 minutes)

Scapegoats In Lord Of The Flies
Lord of the Flies Essay The use of scapegoats impacts our society to large extent because it impacts
many of our set ideals placed in American society today. Although there are different sides of
scapegoating, the one that falls into the parameters of prejudices in today s society. Many innocent
victims fall to the idea of scapegoating, by trying to avoid punishment. For example: Are all Anglos,
Republican? Are all Muslims, terrorists? Are all African Americans and Hispanics in gangs? Are all
minorities on welfare? Are all Italians in the Mafia? Are all Hispanics here illegally?Although we have
learned to call these type of statements stereotypical and in some cases profiling. Scapegoating is an
act in which a person unfairly blames someone ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The word scapegoat is described in the Bible s Book of Leviticus. The passage goes something like
this: On the Day of Atonement a live goat was chosen by lot. The high priest, robed in linen garments,
laid both his hands on the goat s head, and confessed over it the iniquities of the children of Israel. The
sins of the people thus symbolically transferred to the beast, it was taken out into the wilderness and
let go. The people felt purged, and for the time being, guiltless. Since the biblical times the term/word
scapegoat has changed to refer to individuals or people who are made to suffer the problems and faults
of others. Scapegoating seems to be a psychological act, in which it allows the perpetrator to eliminate
negative feelings about him or himself and provides a sense of relief. There have been many incidents
of scapegoating in the past year itself. One of the most used scapegoats would be God , Conversely,
God is also a convenient scapegoat. According to people s logic, if God is so perfect, why does he
allow bad things to happens to people who serve him? In fact as many as ⅔ of americans surveyed
have blamed god for their

Abortion Is A Right Of Privacy
It is obvious that abortion is a topic that includes many grey areas. Whether an abortion is a right
guaranteed to the mother, or if it is considered taking away the rights the of the unborn baby is one of
these grey areas. Pro choice supporters agree with the Roe v. Wade supreme court decision because of
the way it applies abortion to the constitution. According to the Internet site Pro Con, the court case
presented the idea that abortion fits under the right of privacy (1). By this, the court system is saying
that each woman should be granted the ability to do what she wishes with her body. Although this
right was not directly created for abortion, there are differing opinions as to whether or not an abortion
could fit into one s right of privacy. The term right of privacy is extremely broad, but refers to the
privacy granted to an individual from the government. However, pro life supporters do not think this
should be applied to an abortion, especially because another human being s life is at stake. They
believe that the fetus should also be granted rights, as if they were a living human outside in the real
world. Which is why many pro life advocates make the argument that an abortion is killing a human
being who cannot defend themselves. Due to this belief, there are many states who have passed fetal
homicide laws (1). These were created to respect the rights of the child. As a woman who has become
a mother, it is one s responsibility to protect the human growing inside the womb; killing this growing
human being, who is yet unable to defend themselves, has no other definition than murder. A common
belief among pro choice supporters is that abortion cannot be murder because life does not begin until
birth. However, pro life believers say life begins at conception. Behind this belief stands the idea that
an abortion is taking away the life and rights of an living individual. Since the day abortion became a
vast issue, there has always been a lurking argument between the pro life and pro choice supporters as
to when life exactly begins. This argument came about because pro choice supporters used the
statement that life does not begin until birth to oppose the pro life opinion that

Stewardship In The Air Force
Module five had a lot of familiar concepts that I ve become accustomed with during my brief time in
the Air Force. For many of these concepts, I was able to get a more in depth look into how they are
applied. One item I really took away from the module reading was the budget process and how the
different quarterly cycles work. Another process I learned a lot about was the Budget Execution
Review and how to properly forecast funding shortfalls. These items are currently not in my day to
day operations, but will be in my near future. Currently, my position in the squadron does not afford
many opportunities to apply resources stewardship skills. Managing people is the only facet of
resource stewardship that I directly impact. Other areas

Guerilla Fights
Finding a safe way to attack an Insurgency without killing innocent civilians is a hard task to
complete. Civilians fight the war of the nation, at random times and places. This creates a problem for
conventional armies. Who is a civilian? Who is a foe? Two different strategies can be utilized to fight
this; take out the all the citizens, or get the people to go against their own insurgents and encompass
the conventional army s ideas. I believe that the only way to beat a counterinsurgency campaign is to
utilize less collateral damage of warfare, while teaching the civilians to live for the counter ideal of
restoring life to its normal state. This strategy will not kill many innocent people, while securing the
population, leading to a loss ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Walzer states, The war cannot be won, because the only available strategy involves a war against
civilians; and it should not be won, because the degree of civilian support that rules out alternative
strategies also makes the guerrillas the legitimate rulers of the country... Fought by foreigners, it is a
war of aggression; if by a local regime alone, it is an act of tyranny. (Walzer 13). To win the war, the
only option, according to Walzer, is to kill civilians. He doesn t believe that this is the right was do
win a war, so he goes on to say the war cannot be won, because of the amount of civilian support. This
leads me to believe that the only conventional way he sees of winning is not by following the Rules of
Engagement, but rather by winning the civilians over through a strategic mental battle of who is right.
Once the civilians are removed from the battlefield, then the Rules of Engagement can be put into
action against the remaining guerilla

What Are The Causes Of The Partition Of India
Knocking the doors to history, the history that takes us to the world of facts, the Partition of India was
just an event crushed under the old pages of Indian history. But this event was the greatest man made
catastrophe which not only divided the nation into two parts the New India for the Hindus and
Pakistan for the Muslims, but also led to the massacre of millions in this forced dislocation. It was
considered one of the largest mass migrations in the history of India killing two million people1 and
dislocating 14 million Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs from the areas of Punjab and Bengal2.
The agreement of dividing the colonial India into two separate state Pakistan having a majority of
Muslims and India with the majority of Hindus, was an

Chemical Insecticides Or Utilitarianism
Chemical Insecticides or Utilitarianism
Harmful chemicals have been used throughout time to kill off insects and various plagues that have
been considered harmful to the environment. Many have questioned how helpful they really are to our
environment. Pesticides, herbicides, and insecticides have proven to be more detrimental to humans,
plants, and animals than was ever expected. The use these chemicals has proven to be more costly
than beneficial. The use of chemicals has failed to take many ethical values into consideration. One
that I will discuss today is the ethic of Utilitarianism. Utilitarianism s claim the purpose of morality is
to make the world a better place (Ethics S14). If utilitarianism was practiced more than we wouldn t
have such a big problem with the use of chemical pesticides. I will start by stating a crucial fact that
has changes the life of nature as it was once known. Since the mid 1940 s over 200 basic chemicals
have been created for the use in killing insects, weeds, rodents, and other organisms (Carson 43). The
use of these chemicals have spread quickly. One of these chemical pesticides is
dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane, better known as DDT. DDT was first discovered in 1874 and used
during WWII, to kill lice. After being used during the war it began to be used in the agricultural world
as an insecticide. The problem with this was that although the agriculture industry was benefiting, it
was benefitting at a cost to the environment.

Cold War Dbq Essay
On September 1, 1939, Hitler invaded Poland and two days later, France and Britain declared war on
Germany, beginning World War II. The United States did not enter the war until after Pearl Harbor
was attacked by the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service on December 7, 1941. After World War II, the
relationship that developed between the United States and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republic was
called the Cold War; the ends of World War II lead to the start of the Cold War. They each thought
their system of government and economics was best and they only fought indirectly. The USSR

and the USSR caused disputes that eventually led up to the Cold War. Enormous growth spurred by
industries related to war was aided by heavy government expansion. The Americans advocated free
market capitalism while the Soviets promoted communism. George Kennan wanted a U.S. policy that
framed the issues and prevented the Soviet Union from taking action. From the beginning, Kennan
was suspicious of the Soviet s motives and thought that they weren t open to reasoning with the U.S.
He wanted the Soviet s to change their government policy (Doc 3). America s national security policy
for planning post war was a cause of great discomfort for the Soviets. Due to this, the Soviets were
much more conscious of America s post war planning in which America planned to regain their
previous interests and possibly gain more. America s post war planning and their use of the atomic
bomb caused tension between them and the Soviet Union. After World War II, American political
policies towards the Soviets changed severely. Political policies such as the Truman Doctrine and the
Marshall Plan added to the failure of the relationship between the United States and the Soviet Union.
Fear of communism caused the United States government to use propaganda to raise Cold War
anxieties. Furthermore, the American media influenced the attitudes of Americans, making a hatred of
communism spread through the nation. In 1945, the U.S. Wanted

Citizen Journalism
Joan Cornell notes that the Internet democratizes the journalism which was in the hand of the few
people (2003). The Internet makes the public access to information; at the same time, it creates the
public to be journalists, opening blogs to put something new around on the Internet. Many news
websites like The Guardian, the Washington Post, CNN and MSNBC allows some personification.
The journalism nowadays is facing challenges not only from media and technology convergence, but
also from audience they serve (Bowman and Willis 2003). For example, in MSNBC s my MSN part,
one can post news by yourself. While the audience are participating in the process of journalism with
the aid of the Internet, it cannot be neglected by mainstream media. ... Show more content on

No matter what the result is, Media Matters makes its effort to make the public access to more
information. The public get the rid of being directed or being controlled by traditional mainstream
media. The long established trust that audience give to the traditional media has been broken, leading
the audience to get the rid of being passively receivers (Bowman and Willis 2003).
Citizen journalism challenges the traditional statue of mainstream media, providing the public
alternative access to more information. This gives the public the choice to select news and to become
active news receivers.
Interactivity
The involvement of citizen journalism not only democratizes the media industry, but it serves as a new
added intermediary rather than ultimate authority to connect audience and information access
(Bowman and Willis 2003: 49). A new relationship between journalists and audience has been created,
with comment as a link following the article. For example, Deborah Hobson (2011) in OMNI posted a
piece of news article originated from the latest.com, UK citizen journalism site exposes hypocrisy of
British media over Libya bombings . Four readers left long comments to this article. Whether agree or
disagree with the opinion the article represents, these readers all provide reasons to support their
opinions, which have changed the stereotype thoughts about readers who just passively

Building A New House For The Singapore s Northern Coast...
The scenario taken for the evaluation of the procurement methods is to build a new house for the
client on the Auckland s Northern coast with a budget of $2 million.
The objective for this report is to outline the client s needs as specified, analyse the procurement
methods sorted out by the client and clearly state the advantages, disadvantages and the risks for each
of the procurement method sorted out.
Firstly, the package deal method was selected where the client needs to purchase a full package from a
developer which includes a house and a section.
The other method that was selected is a traditional form of procurement where the client will hire an
architect for designing his house after having sited purchasing a suitable area, then choose a main
contractor for the project through competitive tendering method.
The third method was to select a main contractor and engage him on the basis of design and construct
after having located the site and obtained it.
In each of the procurement method, there are advantages and disadvantages being analysed in
accordance with the client s requirements, which will help the client have a better perspective of the
happenings of his project.
Lastly the last segment of the report, there is also another alternative procurement method that is
selected for the client. The reason for selecting the alternative method of procurement is not only

Marriage And Hinduism
Chapter 9: Marriage and Hinduism
For Hindus, the marriage between two humans is a divine connection that is not restricted to a single
lifetime. They believe that marriage extends through several births and deaths, during which the
married couple assists each other to attain liberation from Maya. The old saying marriages are made in
heaven is considered as a basic truth in Hinduism. Believers claim that the souls of a married couple
united because their destinies are entwined and they must go through several lives here on earth if they
want to attain salvation.
In Hinduism, marriage is a connection between two souls. Also, they think that the gender of a person
is not fixed. For example, the male might become the female in his next life. It is also possible for the
couple to become separated temporarily for one or two lifetimes. However, since their souls are
linked, they will be reunited.
Hindus believe that marriage is a sacred bond. They consider it as an obligation and a sacrament. An
individual is expected to get married unless he renounces this right and becomes a hermit. Marriage is
an important part in the life of a Hindu, so they think of it as an essential goal. A female Hindu ends
her life as a maiden by getting married. She is required to leave her ... Show more content on

Anne Bradstreet Research Paper
In 1612, Anne Bradstreet was born in Northamptonshire, England as Anne Dudley. Anne was born to a

work reflects the religious and emotional conflicts she experienced as a woman writer and as a
Puritan. Bradstreet was concerned with the issues of sin and redemption, physical and emotional
frailty, death and immortality throughout her life. Bradstreet wrote many of the poems that appeared in

The Importance Of Public Shaming In Today s Society
As an individual, it s a part of life to make plenty of mistakes, but is public shaming the answer to
solving it? In todays society, punishment for people is completely different from back in the Puritan
days. For example, in the novel the Scarlett Letter, Hester Prynne commits adultery, which leads her to
having to wear the letter A on her chest, which is a form of public humiliation but in this sense, it s not
right. This is Hester Prynne s sin that she committed that she lives with forever and it shouldn t be any
of the public business for her to be humiliated even more. This is a form of public ridicule,
reintegrative shaming where attention can be drawn by wrong doing, and in order for you to learn in
life you have make some mistakes . Public shaming is immoral in today s society because as an
individual that has done something wrong, you will start to feel like an outcast besides having to
endure humiliation for your actions.
(Article 1) To start off, public humiliation is a form ridicule which is a complete mockery. This is a
way of degrading someone and their position while people gather to taunt, tease, and verbally abuse
one emotionally. When an individual is humiliated for what he or she has done, it already hurts them
deep down inside which causes them to feel destroyed or not worthy of living anymore. In the Scarlett
Letter, for example, Hawthorne state that her heart had been flung into the street for them all to spurn
and trample upon. This shows her

College Athletes Must be Held to the Same Standards as...
Despite a tendency for institutions to be lenient with college athletes, as they enjoy the benefits of full
time student status, they must be held to the same standards as non athlete students. Every institution
has an obligation to set attendance rules; students who attend these institutions have an obligation to
abide by them, however, in actuality, professors chose whether or not they re enforced. This may
cause significant problems between other students targeting a player, rather than who is responsible,
the Professor. Although institutions want their students equally treated, diversity is well accepted.
Existence as a college athlete contributes to diversity as well as a substantial amount of favoritism.

Furthermore, Community College professors are easier to work with due to smaller class size, rather
than a University, where class sizes are so large, one may never met the professor. There are various
obstacles to overcome in college athletics; ones that are mentioned are just to name a few.
Although many argue in defense of college athletics, to elaborate on the few obstacles mentioned, one
might put more detail in how stress and anxiety can be reduced simply by exercise. Exercise is great
for brain functioning as well as the body. A decrease in stress may help a player to perform well on
assignments, and the field. To help a player into a positive mental state, couches have put together
certain stretches that specifically target anxiety pressure points. When an athlete is in a positive mental
state, he/she is able to perform well. Players are also able to control their thinking, remove tension,
and conserve energy using the special techniques provided. Generally, techniques used for relaxation,
should result in decreased blood pressure, heart rate, breathing rate, and decreased body metabolism.
Another benefit of college athletics, is the substantial amount of class time one may miss, this gives an
opportunity for other students to have one on one attention with their professor and peers. Smaller
class size contributes to individual success. Now, other advantages of missing class include

Digital Divide And The Digital Gap
As I was researching and looking around for ideas to write this research paper about, one subject that
piqued my interest was the digital divide. I had seen a digital divide in my previous job of working for
the local public library in my hometown. The digital divide is more or less the difference in the rates
that people utilize computers, the internet and other forms of information and communication
technology, otherwise referred to as ICT (Wong, 2009). The digital divide in essence describes the
social inequity in accessing ICT between individuals in society (Ritzhaupt, 2013). Our library was
pretty much the only public access point in the county where individuals could come and utilize free
computers and internet access. I saw many people who had no other access to technology come in and
use the library for educational purposes, job searches and applications, and conduct general business.
As the teen specialist, I was over the Teen Advisory Board, and I came to understand the economic
circumstances some of the teens who were coming to the library were dealing with on a daily basis.
Often times, without the library, they would have no means to complete their school work. I know that
we had one teen who came in to the use the computers because his parents had to pawn his computer
to pay the rent one month. Where the trouble comes in though, is that several years ago the library was
in danger of closing. Most people don t realize that while public libraries do

How Significant was the Reformed Faith to the Success of...
The Dutch Revolt of the sixteenth century, was a conflict between the Protestant Low countries, and
the Catholic Spanish Empire. This resulted in the division of the seventeen provinces of the
Netherlands, and eventually the formation of the Dutch Republic. This struggle culminated into a
Religious split. The Dutch speaking north were tolerant to various religious affiliations, whereas, the
French and Walloon South, remained loyal to Philip II, and were predominantly Catholic. In order to
determine the significance of Reformed faith in the success of the Dutch Revolt, interpretations from
both Peter Griel and Wallace will be explored. Additionally, social, economic and political factors will

Here, another fundamental factor is introduced, that of centralisation and the independence of the
individual provinces. Furthermore, Philip II, was a conservative Catholic. His policies to acquire
religious uniformity such as his edicts and the Inquisition, led to persecution of heretics, This religious
suppression resulted in further aggravation in relations. The Count of Egmont and the Prince of
Orange emerged as the leaders of the opposition
On 5th April 1566, The petition of compromise was presented to Margaret of Parma,by William of
Orange, who was accompanied by approximately 200 armed men. The petition requested that Philip
put a stop to religious persecutions in the Netherlands, which were implemented through the edicts
and the inquisition. This document makes clear that inquisitions had not been adjusted since Charles
reign, and that now they were presented with different times things had changed. Here, seems to
indicate the introduction of Reformed Faith and ideas entering the Netherlands, had some impact of

Malcolm X Bullet
The civil rights era as a result of cultural forces and political awakenings created bold speakers. Many
of these orators were audacious in their speeches, however few came close to Malcolm X. Malcolm X
carried a fearless attitude presenting speeches that have been etched into American History, one the of
the most iconic of these speeches was Ballot or the Bullet . It embodies ideas of self determination
coupled with an intense call to action. The Ballot or the Bullet is a great speech because it skillfully
straddles the line between inciting violence and inspiring change. The Ballot or the Bullet is capable
of leaving a lasting impact due to its inflammatory statements. Malcolm X uses these statements
carefully throughout the speech to grab the audience s attention when he is attempting to convey
important statements. Malcolm X starts the speech with a description of the difficult choice that
African Americans are facing. He states controversially at the top of the speech, The Negro Revolt,
and Where Do We Go From Here ... it points toward either the ballot or the bullet (X) .His description
of the Civil Rights movement as a Negro Revolt was contentious due to violent undertones however, it
manages to hook the reader and steer the argument the way Malcolm X desires. Therefore, through
controversy Malcolm X accomplishes two goals, first shocking than progressing society. By shocking
society Malcolm X hopes to create change. He does this through reckless actions, as described by him
in Malcolm X: A Life of Reinvention, The greatest compliment anyone can pay me is to say I m

How Did Honey Affect Aboriginal Culture
Regarded as a very important part of the aboriginal culture, bees have been used by aborigines for
food, tools and trade for thousands of years. Honey held great values and was considered a sign of
respect. This was shown when honey was given to tribal elders by the hunters. Honey was treated as a
highly prized substance, giving as a gift or traded as a valuable product. If this valuable substance was
not traded or gifted, aborigines would simply use it to sweeten foods.
Referred to as Sugarbag by the aborigines, native honey contains a lot of resin from native trees such
as the eucalyptus tree. Due to its value, honey was scavenged for and found in nests located in trees,
stumps, rocky crevices and muddy river banks. In order for the aborigines to find native bee hives,
hunters would catch foraging bees and attach small pieces of light weight materials such as pieces of
feather, spider web or grass to the pollen sacs or resin that was being collected by the bees. ... Show

The bee s flight speed was then decreased and slow enough for the aboriginals to follow it back to its
hive.
Hives that were situated high in a tree were not disturbed by cutting down the tree, instead, the honey
was gathered by carving foot holes into the tree. This allowed for the aboriginals to climb up to the
hive. The contents of the hive would then be obtained and left to recover and rebuild, to be collected at
a later date.
Beeswax and resin were important for making weaponry. These bee by products were used to fasten
pieces of stone to wood. This would be achieved by heating the wax until it became a malleable liquid
and would then be poured over the two materials and left to dry. Once dried, the honey would harden
acting as a strong glue to hold the material together to be used for hunting

Use of Informatics in Pain Management Pain Management is a specialty in modern medicine, which
focuses on treating all categories of pain such as spinal, neuropathic, sickle cell, and musculoskeletal
pain disorders. According to Johnson, Collett, and Castro Lopes (2013) pain management cases
constitute about a third of PCPs (Primary Care Physicians) appointments. However, only sixty percent
or less of patients treated for chronic pain in routine practice setting achieves adequate pain relief.
Some of the issues attributed to low success rate in chronic pain management can be associated with

According to Aiyegbusi et al. (2017), a sickle cell crisis is associated with episodes acute pain, which
is the leading cause of hospitalization for the victims of the disease. A single hospitalization, for a
sickle cell crisis case, may last from two weeks to over a month; hence, a patient encounters an
immense challenge of keeping a job. In addition, Careful medication is required to treat sickle cell
pain due to the frequent need to change drugs and the addictive nature of some substances used to
reduce pain. Therefore, managing such a condition in the current pain management environment can
be highly tasking to physicians and patients.
Methodology
A qualitative method was used to conduct the study on informatics due to the need of secondary data
about the topic. The approach was considered the best for that research due to time constraints and the
existence and easy accessibility of immense information on the study topic. Therefore, the study began
with an online search of secondary materials in digital libraries using a set of key words and phrases.
Some of the key words and phrases used include Informatics in healthcare , informatics in pain

Battle of Normandy Essay
One of the most significant encounters of World War II was the Battle of Normandy (the first day of
which is commonly referred to as D Day). Nearly three million soldiers were deployed for the
invasion. Those deployed consisted mainly of American and British soldiers, however Canadian,
French, Polish, Belgian, and Czech forces were represented as well (Jensen). The battle was fought in
an effort to gain European ground and to reduce the German potential for overrunning Russia (Lucas).
The Battle of Normandy was significant in that it was the turning point of World War II, incurred
heavy casualties on each side, and was the greatest amphibious landing in history (Cohen). The events
leading up to the Battle of Normandy are perhaps ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Thousands of large still spikes (known as hedgehogs) were also sunk into the sand to halt the progress
of enemy tanks (Newark 145). Allied troops readied themselves for the assault. The attack on
Normandy had been pushed to June fifth, 1944; however the forecast on June third predicted
unfavorable conditions due to unusually high winds. The invasion ultimately took place on June 6th,
1944 (D Day) (Cohen). The first troops deployed into battle were paratroopers. Over thirteen thousand
U.S. paratroopers were dropped by an armada of C 47s behind German lines before dawn. Their
mission was to seize bridges, disrupt communications, and prevent German soldiers from reinforcing
the Normandy beaches as the Allied assault hit the coastline (Alberecht). Heavy cloud coverage made
for difficult navigation and forced many of the paratroopers to jump blind . This resulted in them
being scattered over a 100 square mile radius. Thirty five percent of these soldiers landed at their
designated drop point, while many others died when they landed in fields flooded by the Germans.
Despite all of this, the remaining troops were able to secure their intended positions (Dry). The next
phase in the Battle of Normandy was the storming of the beaches. A fleet of 4,000 ships carrying
176,000 men set sail. The chosen landing area was east of the Cotentin Peninsula in Normandy along
the beaches.

Reflection On Faith
Faith is a very complex subject on how it can be obtained and what can be done after it has been
achieved. The treasures of having faith brings a person to be saved from any evil. In the last chapter of
Mark, it explains therefore true faith in Christ is a treasure beyond comparison which brings with it
complete salvation and saves man from every evil (Mark [16:16]). When faith is within the person it
also brings them righteousness, which gives the ability to break the chains within the person (Luther
pg 11 par 2). In Luther s perspective, the Word of God contains wisdom, liberty, joy, and other morals,
which faith alone can only obtain those moral traits. The term work Luther uses in his writings is
mainly about a certain action people will do such as community service or volunteering. Faith is
difficult to have since any type of services work cannot make a person to have faith. Luther claims
that person is divided up in two parts, and any type of work of the outer part of the body has no effect
in faith, but when a person is saved by faith, Luther suggest giving back by helping other people or do
good causes. In the Christian life, there are two main parts in a person which is the spiritual part and
the bodily part (Luther Pg 9 par 2). The spiritual part can also be called as inner or new man and the
bodily part can also be called carnal or old man. Apostle explains the reason behind the spiritual part
of a human being called new man and the bodily being called the

nearly every facet of the modern United States Army. For many years, the Army has increased its

technologies for our own good. However, it has helped keep us the most powerful fighting force on

digital signature that would allow them to truly go paperless. The technology had existed for five
years, but the Army s slow procurement and distribution process was one of the many lessons learned:
in the digital age, the Army had to move faster and be more flexible to change. This paperless platform
would allow the Army to overhaul all administrative systems. The Publication Directorate stopped
printing paper copies of manuals and regulations, and posted the digital copies to an online library,
where changes could easily be updated. Evaluations could be completed online, signed online, and
submitted online. Leave forms and award recommendations could go from one user to approver with
the click of a button across the world if needed. And promotion boards no longer needed to flip
through endless reams of paper to select candidates just click through digital copies of a file for a
potential promotion candidate. The Army is positioning itself for the future by reducing the number of
people it needs to do the administrative work of the past and train the future administrators in
computer applications for the future. A company 20 years ago traditionally had two

The Sociological Analysis Of Django Unchained By Quentin...
Django Unchained is a movie by Quentin Tarantino that goes into the life of a frees slave named
Django. Django with the help of a bounty hunter Dr. Schultz, set out to rescue Django s wife from a
brutal plantation owner she has been sold to. Django Unchained includes plenty of Karl Marx s
concepts of sociological theory including capital, labor exploitation, class struggle, materialistic
ideology, accumulation and Emile Durkheim s concept of crime.
KARL MARX CAPITAL Capital is instruments of labor which includes slaves under Karl Marx s
definition. Capital can be historically specific instead of just being materials. For example, a black
person is a black person until someone makes him a slave in certain conditions. In Django Unchained,
Django and his wife among many other slaves in the movie were made into slaves by the people that
took them from their homes in Africa and brought them to America. They would not be slaves if these
certain conditions had not happened but since they did, they became instruments of labor and capital
for their owners to sell and use as they saw fit. Many slaves in the movie were nothing more than
exchange value. Exchange value, at first sight, presents itself as a quantitative relation, as the
proportion in which values in use of one sort are exchanged for those of another sort (Edles and
Appelrouth 2015:76). In the movie Django s wife was to be sold to him and Dr. Schultz for $12,000

Intimate Partner Violence Problem Statement
Problem Statement
Around the world, one in every three women has been coerced into having intercourse, beaten, or
abused during some point in her lifetime (Domestic Violence Statistics, 2015). The topic that will be
studied with the paper is intimate partner violence or another term that can be used is domestic
violence. Domestic violence or intimate partner violence is the systematic pattern or control or power
perpetuated by one partner against another (National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, n.d.).
Throughout the paper the term domestic violence and intimate violence will be used interchangeably.
The misconception is that domestic violence or intimate partner violence is only between two people
in a romantic relationship, but this is not so. Domestic violence includes, but is not limited to child
abuse, elder and vulnerable adult abuse, spousal or partner abuse, and sibling violence (Can Fam
Physician, 1999). This behavior can include but is not limited to sexual assault, intimidation, and
physical assault (National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, n.d.). Reports from 10 countries have
shown that somewhere between 55 and 95 percent of women who experience physical abuse by a
partner had never contacted the police, shelters, or other organizations for help (Domestic Violence
Statistics, 2015).

It s the confidence that would work. Not the lame language pattern.
Anyway, here are 5 tips you can actually use that WILL work and will dramatically enhance your

1. Learn how to anchor peak states (both emotional and physical). If you don t know what an anchor

romantic way.
That s just one example of many different kinds of anchors.
Anchors can be set via any, and or all, of our 5 senses, meaning visually, auditorilly, kinestheticlly
(meaning touch), smell, and or taste.
One of many great ways to create a powerful anchor is to gently touch your partner s ear, or ears

Music as a Stress Reliever
They say music is one of the biggest stress relievers while acting gives you a chance to engulf yourself
into a character and be someone else for a change. Together these two create Musical Theater, possibly
one of the best two combinations known to man. Musical Theater is a worldwide form of
entertainment that has been around since ancient times and exhibits emotion through a series of acts
which include singing, dancing and scripted acting. Different areas of the world follow unique
storylines which are relevant to their past and current events. The beginning of Musical Theater dates
back to ancient times and originates mainly from the Romans, Greeks and Natya Shastas and
interestingly enough, it also dates back to The Harlem Renaissance Era. In the third BC Roman
comedies began to include dance and music. The Romans attached metal slabs to the bottom of their
shoes helping them to dance better. These shoes were called Sabilla shoes which now have evolved
into tap shoes. In the fifth BC ancient Greeks followed in the Romans footsteps by including dance
and music into their theatrical plays. PARAGRAPH ABOUT ROMAN RENAISSANCE ERA Later in

Apartheid was a reaction by these Afrikaners to this rapid change. This insistence on racial apartness
became the political and legal doctrine of apartheid. It was an accepted Government policy that the
Bantu (native) are only temporarily residents in the European (white) areas of the Republic for as long
as they offer their labour there. (The Department of Bantu Administration and Administration 1957)
This injustice of apartheid towards the Bantu population is evident through the unfair distribution of
land. 80% of South Africa s land was given to the white minority population of the time, despite the
fact that they consisted of less than 10% of the population. The government also introduced influx
control laws to limit the number of permits released to black South Africans allowing them to leave
their homelands and work in cities or on white farms. The white government s forceful policies
included little to no spending on significant finances, which constructed services in the Bantu
Homelands. Schools hospitals and public transport, reliable electricity and running water, public
telephones and sewerage systems were rare. (L. Thompson, op cit, p 201.) This inequality and
unfairness towards the Bantu population was evident for many years before apartheid collapsed.

Conclusion and Suggestions to Remedy Issues Caused by Poor Nutrition
Abstract
We are a group of students at California State University of Northridge who found common interest in
the topic of child nutrition. By applying the core functions of public health, we were able to analyze
how poor child nutrition led to more serious problems such as chronic diseases and obesity. We found
out that there is plenty of data that proves obesity is caused by poor nutrition and ultimately has led to
poor health. As our group researched on the topic and related it to public health, we have concluded
that there is a relation between child nutrition and obesity. Solutions for the problem of obesity are
suggested to conclude the essay. It is important to understand that nutrition and health are always
closely related, and that child nutrition should especially be monitored closely as children are the
future of our homes, communities, and the nation.
Child Nutrition
Good nutrition is important for everyone in every age group. It is an essential part of leading a healthy
lifestyle, not only physically but also mentally. In public health, child nutrition is especially
emphasized for multiple reasons. First, children are

How Does Doolittle Like Helen
In his rendition of Helen, Edgar Allan Poe paints Helen to be a marvel of society, which gives his
poem a praising tone. Conversely, Helen by Hilda Doolittle has an insulting tone since Helen is
portrayed as a hated figure. In Helen by Doolittle, she makes it very blunt that she does not like Helen.
The poem starts off with All Greece hates, Helen, which means right from the start the poet sets up a
very dark and hating tone. Doolittle also uses the word white over and over again. Usually white is
used to signify purity and innocence, but Doolittle uses the word to mean cold and dead. Helen was
the perfect women, so since Doolittle is writing this poem in the perspective of a Greek women Helen
is hated due to jealousy. This is why Doolittle calls Helen cold and ... Show more content on

Since Poe writes from the point of view of a man, he loves Helen because she is gorgeous. Poe says
that Helen brings men Glory, and Grandeur. Though his extremely romanticized portrayal of Helen,
Poe creates a praising tone. He is almost hailing Helen as a god. This is most evident when he says
that Helen stands statue like. This is in deep contrast with Doolittle because Poe s poem almost makes
Helen to be a god, while Doolittle s poem makes Helen to be a devil. Another place where the two
poets are seen to have contrasting tones is in the structure of the poems. Poe s poem has an almost
wavy like structure, the lines go in and they come back out. This gives the poem a very loose feel.
This contributes the over romanticized view of Helen since the poem is set up to mirror the swooning
of the Greek men. Conversely, Doolittle s poem is very stiff due to there being no indents. This
stiffness helps to convey a tone of discontent and hatred. There is no emotion in the structure. Due to
these contrasting stanza structure, Poe s poem clearly displaces a warm and loving tone, while
Doolittle s structure conveys stiffness and

Comparisons of the Natural World
Illiwa Baldwin
CH 202.1305
Jeff Auer
March 5 2012
Comparisons of the Natural World Up until the 17th Century, an understanding of the natural world
and how it operates was very limited and the general consensus was that there was God, and all things
were created by him in a hierarchical order that sustained the balance of man. Although these Gods
varied between ethnicities and religions, the general idea of a creator is consistent. However, with the
extent of experiences and experimentation of Galileo, Bacon and Newton, the world was able to
explore a new realm of reality in scientific discovery and analysis. Although the works of Galileo,
Bacon and Newton can be compared with each other in regard to the idea of experimentation and ...

Francis Bacon is better known for his theories that man will better understand nature if he uses the
mind as a tool rather than rely entirely on scientific discovery. It is Bacon that attempts to connect the
science and understanding of the physical world with society. Bacon s Novum Organum lists a series
of aphorisms by which man should abide by in order to attain a better understanding of the natural
world. These aphorisms are a guide to accepting science as the entire truth of the natural world. His
writings are peculiar because he lays down these guidelines and within them there seems to be a
constant message that instructs doubt in scientific experimentation, where Bacon himself is a scientist
that utilizes the use of experimentation and scientific method. Moreover, he outlines the four classes
of idols that effect the thought and minds of man, I have assigned names, calling the first class Idols of
the Tribe; the second, Idols of the cave; the third, Idols of the Marketplace; the fourth, Idols of the
Theatre (TOM 29). The first idol describes the need for man to distort and discolor nature by
enforcing his own nature upon it. This idol can be seen constantly throughout scientists research as
they constantly draw their own conclusions upon constant experimentation, much like the works of

Tax In Australia Essay
Over 570,000 backpackers travelled Australia in 2009 and many did so on Working Holiday Visas
(WHVs) to help cover the costs. Tax is the last thing backpackers think about when in Australia; that
is until it comes time to leave or file their tax return...
Having arrived in Australia under a WHVs a number of years ago I have the first hand experience of
how difficult it is to understand a new tax regime, especially one which is obscured by myths, hearsay
and misleading information. For many backpackers, this is their first experience of tax and may be
their first job which just makes things worse!
This article may help you find out some of the myths and address some issues surrounding tax in
Australia for WHVs holders.

The rate of tax that you pay depends on your individual situation, how much you have earned, other
income you have received and deductions you may (or may not!) be entitled too.
Typically, if an individual is travelling frequently, employed in casual roles and not classed as an
Australian resident for tax purposes, they will pay 29% of all earnings. This is because the Australian
Tax Office (ATO) assumes they have income in another country and place a flat rate on all earnings to
simplify the process.
Tax agents can get you 100% of your tax back
Tax is a complex matter and using a tax agent to help you can be a good call if you are unsure of some
aspect of your return. However, any agent that promises to get you all of the tax you paid returned to
you should be treated with caution.
They may be trying to mislead you or they could be lying to the tax office on your behalf either way,
you will end up in a lot of trouble. You will always be made to sign a document taking responsibility
for the actions of the tax agent.
If you want to get an estimate of your tax liability or refund due, the ATO has free calculators that you
can use.

Adrenal Glands In Your Body
There are two Adrenal Glands in your body. Each of them is located on top of a kidney. They re name
comes from exactly where they are located. The word ad means near or at and the word renes means
kidneys. So when you put both words together it means near or at kidneys. Both Adrenal Glands are
triangular shaped organs, and when measured is about one and a half inches in height and three inches
in length. These small glands not only produce adrenaline, but several other hormones as well which
are important for different functions of our body. Other than adrenaline and noradrenalin, the main
class of hormones produced by these organs is corticosteroid hormones.
The Adrenal Gland is made up of two parts: the Adrenal Cortex and the Adrenal Medulla. The Adrenal
Cortex is the outer layer of the Adrenal Glands. The Adrenal Cortex only produces hormones that are
vital and important to have in your life. The Adrenal Cortex is the site of all of our steroid production,
including steroids which calm down the immune system in allergic responses (they are anti
inflammatories) and the hormone testosterone. The Adrenal cortex produces two main groups of
corticosteroid hormones Glucocorticoids and Mineralocorticoids. Natural glucocorticoids are just
steroid hormones with powerful anti inflammatory effects. says Stephanie Liou, Researcher from The

Epinephrine is also commonly known as the fight or flight hormone. The combination between the
sympathetic nervous system and the adrenal cortical system are what makes up the flight or fight
response. During the flight or fight response hormones like epinephrine and cortisol are released into
the body speeding heart rate, breathing becoming faster, and pain tolerance gets higher. The name

Grade 1 Injury Essay
Description of the Injury
There are four different Hamstring muscles that run along the back of your thigh. These four muscles
are called: semimembranosus and semitendinosus (medially) and biceps femoris short and long heads
(laterally). Hamstrings strains can occur for multiple reasons.
There are three grades of hamstring strains; Grade 1 Pull, Grade 2 Partial tear, Grade 3 Avulsion. The
three grades are all different and show different signs and pain levels.
If you are experiencing a grade 1 hamstring strain you are likely to feel tightness at the back of your
thigh. You will be able to feel discomfort in your Hamstring and although you will be able to walk you
won t be able to run at full speed. Mild swelling and spasms will most likely occur. Grade 1 strains
take 1 3 weeks to heal. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Sudden pangs of pain will be present during activity. Same as the grade 1 strain there will be swelling
and the hamstring will be sore to touch. Bending your knee against resistance will be painful. Grade 2
strains take 4 8 weeks to heal.
The worst strain to the hamstring is a grade 3 strain. Grade 3 strains involve a tear to all or half of the
hamstring muscle. Walking will cause severe pain and you will either need assistance from someone
or crutches. Swelling will happen immediately and bruising will appear within 24 hours. Grade 3
strains take 3 6 months to heal.
Occurrence and Prevention
The factors that contribute to a strained Hamstring can be put into two different categories, primary
and secondary. Primary factors are the bad timing of intermuscular coordination and the strength of
the hamstring during the change between the late recovery of the leg and the approach in the swinging
motion of sprinting.
Secondary factors include things such as:
Poor running style
Over striding or bad control of pelvic movement can make the hamstrings vulnerable to injury

Mike Pence Research Paper
A comment on Mike Pence... It s always good to look at patterns of reasoning and behavior of
candidates for public office. For example, Mike Pence as governor of the state of Indiana issued a
ruling saying that he will not allow any Syrians to be placed in the state of Indiana with federal
money. So, the states receive substantial grants from the federal government to aid in the resettlement
of refugees, including Syrians. This policy was challenged by a resettlement group in Indiana that
works with, among other people, Syrians. And a judge, a local judge in a federal court judge in
Indiana enjoined the policy, saying that this was unfair and discriminatory. And just recently, a three
judge panel of the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals not

Different Crime Scripts Of Acquaintance And Decision...
Although largely unreported, sexual offending by adult acquaintances is a highly prevalent crime
(Silva, 2004). This review will look at how crime scripts , through a rational choice perspective, aids
in the situational prevention of crime. Furthermore, it will analyse the literature concerning this crime,
identifying the modus operandi and decision making processes adopted by offenders, defining the
different crime scripts of acquaintance rape illustrated in previous empirical literature. This review
will finally identify areas not charted by the literature and highlight where the literature could have
logically continued with prescriptive preventative measures.
Sexual offending by adult acquaintances is usually a purposive and deliberate act and therefore,
according to Rational Choice Theory (which assumes this), in both the planning and execution of the
offence, the offender will have made a series of rational choices, with the intent on benefiting
themselves outweighing any perceived risks associated with their commission of this crime. (Clarke
Felson, 1993; Cornish Clarke, 2008). Rational Choice Theory suggests that the decision to engage in
criminal behaviour is influenced by a rational assessment of the cost benefit of the efforts, rewards and
risks when encountered with a crime opportunity (Cornish Clarke, 1986; 2008). This perspective
proposes that crime is committed because it provides the most effective means of achieving desired
goals, such as money,

My Life Path My Music Changes With It
(title)
As I look back on the life I have lived so far I see that with every challenge or shift I have faced in my
life path my music changes with it. Whether I move to sad, upbeat, or empowering music, there is
always something I listen to to drift away from the world and think. I think music is important for
everyone because of that. It gives people an excuse to think and to comprehend what s going on in
their life. I know if I am going through something rough nothing feels better then to rest on my bed
with headphones in and forget about whatever is going on around me. However it seems hard for me
to forget about what is happening, for the music I select matches the moods I am in. As I go over my
timeline to this point in music, my choices seems to become more mature and more independent as I
grow up. A major point in my life in which a lot of things started to shift was in 3rd grade when my
parents got divorced.
As I look back on all the music I have listened to throughout my life the first song I can remember
hearing is Yellow Submarine by The Beatles. I have never forgotten about this song and I don t think I
ever will. I can remember when I was about five years old, my mom would throw a disc into a CD
player and repeat it all night and the only song on that CD was Yellow Submarine . Something about
its repetitive tune and the friendly voices of the beatles was always able to knock me out cold no
matter what mood I was in. I barely even got what the song was

Although there are different sides of scapegoating, the one that falls into the parameters of prejudices in today s society. Many innocent victims fall to the idea of scapegoating, by trying to avoid punishment. For example: Are all Anglos, Republican? Are all Muslims, terrorists? Are all African Americans and Hispanics in gangs? Are all minorities on welfare? Are all Italians in the Mafia? Are all Hispanics here illegally?Although we have learned to call these type of statements stereotypical and in some cases profiling. Scapegoating is an act in which a person unfairly blames someone ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The word scapegoat is described in the Bible s Book of Leviticus. The passage goes something like this: On the Day of Atonement a live goat was chosen by lot. The high priest, robed in linen garments, laid both his hands on the goat s head, and confessed over it the iniquities of the children of Israel. The sins of the people thus symbolically transferred to the beast, it was taken out into the wilderness and let go. The people felt purged, and for the time being, guiltless. Since the biblical times the term/word scapegoat has changed to refer to individuals or people who are made to suffer the problems and faults of others. Scapegoating seems to be a psychological act, in which it allows the perpetrator to eliminate negative feelings about him or himself and provides a sense of relief. There have been many incidents of scapegoating in the past year itself. One of the most used scapegoats would be God , Conversely, God is also a convenient scapegoat. According to people s logic, if God is so perfect, why does he allow bad things to happens to people who serve him? In fact as many as ⅔ of americans surveyed have blamed god for their ... • 5. Abortion Is A Right Of Privacy It is obvious that abortion is a topic that includes many grey areas. Whether an abortion is a right guaranteed to the mother, or if it is considered taking away the rights the of the unborn baby is one of these grey areas. Pro choice supporters agree with the Roe v. Wade supreme court decision because of the way it applies abortion to the constitution. According to the Internet site Pro Con, the court case presented the idea that abortion fits under the right of privacy (1). By this, the court system is saying that each woman should be granted the ability to do what she wishes with her body. Although this right was not directly created for abortion, there are differing opinions as to whether or not an abortion could fit into one s right of privacy. The term right of privacy is extremely broad, but refers to the privacy granted to an individual from the government. However, pro life supporters do not think this should be applied to an abortion, especially because another human being s life is at stake. They believe that the fetus should also be granted rights, as if they were a living human outside in the real world. Which is why many pro life advocates make the argument that an abortion is killing a human being who cannot defend themselves. Due to this belief, there are many states who have passed fetal homicide laws (1). These were created to respect the rights of the child. As a woman who has become a mother, it is one s responsibility to protect the human growing inside the womb; killing this growing human being, who is yet unable to defend themselves, has no other definition than murder. A common belief among pro choice supporters is that abortion cannot be murder because life does not begin until birth. However, pro life believers say life begins at conception. Behind this belief stands the idea that an abortion is taking away the life and rights of an living individual. Since the day abortion became a vast issue, there has always been a lurking argument between the pro life and pro choice supporters as to when life exactly begins. This argument came about because pro choice supporters used the statement that life does not begin until birth to oppose the pro life opinion that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

For many of these concepts, I was able to get a more in depth look into how they are applied. One item I really took away from the module reading was the budget process and how the different quarterly cycles work. Another process I learned a lot about was the Budget Execution Review and how to properly forecast funding shortfalls. These items are currently not in my day to day operations, but will be in my near future. Currently, my position in the squadron does not afford many opportunities to apply resources stewardship skills. Managing people is the only facet of resource stewardship that I directly impact. This creates a problem for conventional armies. Who is a civilian? Who is a foe? Two different strategies can be utilized to fight this; take out the all the citizens, or get the people to go against their own insurgents and encompass the conventional army s ideas. I believe that the only way to beat a counterinsurgency campaign is to utilize less collateral damage of warfare, while teaching the civilians to live for the counter ideal of restoring life to its normal state. He doesn t believe that this is the right was do win a war, so he goes on to say the war cannot be won, because of the amount of civilian support. This leads me to believe that the only conventional way he sees of winning is not by following the Rules of Engagement, but rather by winning the civilians over through a strategic mental battle of who is right. Chemical Insecticides Or Utilitarianism Chemical Insecticides or Utilitarianism Harmful chemicals have been used throughout time to kill off insects and various plagues that have been considered harmful to the environment. Many have questioned how helpful they really are to our environment. Pesticides, herbicides, and insecticides have proven to be more detrimental to humans, plants, and animals than was ever expected. The use these chemicals has proven to be more costly than beneficial. The use of chemicals has failed to take many ethical values into consideration. One that I will discuss today is the ethic of Utilitarianism. Utilitarianism s claim the purpose of morality is to make the world a better place (Ethics S14). If utilitarianism was practiced more than we wouldn t have such a big problem with the use of chemical pesticides. I will start by stating a crucial fact that has changes the life of nature as it was once known. Since the mid 1940 s over 200 basic chemicals have been created for the use in killing insects, weeds, rodents, and other organisms (Carson 43). The use of these chemicals have spread quickly. One of these chemical pesticides is dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane, better known as DDT. DDT was first discovered in 1874 and used during WWII, to kill lice. After being used during the war it began to be used in the agricultural world as an insecticide. The problem with this was that although the agriculture industry was benefiting, it was benefitting at a cost to the environment. There ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

From the beginning, Kennan was suspicious of the Soviet s motives and thought that they weren t open to reasoning with the U.S. He wanted the Soviet s to change their government policy (Doc 3). The Internet makes the public access to information; at the same time, it creates the public to be journalists, opening blogs to put something new around on the Internet. Many news websites like The Guardian, the Washington Post, CNN and MSNBC allows some personification. The journalism nowadays is facing challenges not only from media and technology convergence, but also from audience they serve (Bowman and Willis 2003). The public get the rid of being directed or being controlled by traditional mainstream media. The long established trust that audience give to the traditional media has been broken, leading the audience to get the rid of being passively receivers (Bowman and Willis 2003). Citizen journalism challenges the traditional statue of mainstream media, providing the public alternative access to more information. This gives the public the choice to select news and to become active news receivers. Interactivity The involvement of citizen journalism not only democratizes the media industry, but it serves as a new added intermediary rather than ultimate authority to connect audience and information access (Bowman and Willis 2003: 49). They believe that marriage extends through several births and deaths, during which the married couple assists each other to attain liberation from Maya. The old saying marriages are made in heaven is considered as a basic truth in Hinduism. Believers claim that the souls of a married couple united because their destinies are entwined and they must go through several lives here on earth if they want to attain salvation. In Hinduism, marriage is a connection between two souls. Also, they think that the gender of a person is not fixed. For example, the male might become the female in his next life. It is also possible for the couple to become separated temporarily for one or two lifetimes. However, since their souls are linked, they will be reunited. Hindus believe that marriage is a sacred bond. They consider it as an obligation and a sacrament. An individual is expected to get married unless he renounces this right and becomes a hermit. • 17. The Importance Of Public Shaming In Today s Society As an individual, it s a part of life to make plenty of mistakes, but is public shaming the answer to solving it? In todays society, punishment for people is completely different from back in the Puritan days. For example, in the novel the Scarlett Letter, Hester Prynne commits adultery, which leads her to having to wear the letter A on her chest, which is a form of public humiliation but in this sense, it s not right. This is Hester Prynne s sin that she committed that she lives with forever and it shouldn t be any of the public business for her to be humiliated even more. This is a form of public ridicule, reintegrative shaming where attention can be drawn by wrong doing, and in order for you to learn in life you have make some mistakes . Public shaming is immoral in today s society because as an individual that has done something wrong, you will start to feel like an outcast besides having to endure humiliation for your actions. (Article 1) To start off, public humiliation is a form ridicule which is a complete mockery. This is a way of degrading someone and their position while people gather to taunt, tease, and verbally abuse one emotionally. When an individual is humiliated for what he or she has done, it already hurts them deep down inside which causes them to feel destroyed or not worthy of living anymore. • 20. Digital Divide And The Digital Gap As I was researching and looking around for ideas to write this research paper about, one subject that piqued my interest was the digital divide. I had seen a digital divide in my previous job of working for the local public library in my hometown. The digital divide is more or less the difference in the rates that people utilize computers, the internet and other forms of information and communication technology, otherwise referred to as ICT (Wong, 2009). The digital divide in essence describes the social inequity in accessing ICT between individuals in society (Ritzhaupt, 2013). Our library was pretty much the only public access point in the county where individuals could come and utilize free computers and internet access. I saw many people who had no other access to technology come in and use the library for educational purposes, job searches and applications, and conduct general business. As the teen specialist, I was over the Teen Advisory Board, and I came to understand the economic circumstances some of the teens who were coming to the library were dealing with on a daily basis. Often times, without the library, they would have no means to complete their school work. I know that we had one teen who came in to the use the computers because his parents had to pawn his computer to pay the rent one month. Where the trouble comes in though, is that several years ago the library was in danger of closing. Most people don t realize that while public libraries do ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Count of Egmont and the Prince of Orange emerged as the leaders of the opposition On 5th April 1566, The petition of compromise was presented to Margaret of Parma,by William of Orange, who was accompanied by approximately 200 armed men. • 23. How Did Honey Affect Aboriginal Culture Regarded as a very important part of the aboriginal culture, bees have been used by aborigines for food, tools and trade for thousands of years. Honey held great values and was considered a sign of respect. This was shown when honey was given to tribal elders by the hunters. Honey was treated as a highly prized substance, giving as a gift or traded as a valuable product. If this valuable substance was not traded or gifted, aborigines would simply use it to sweeten foods. Referred to as Sugarbag by the aborigines, native honey contains a lot of resin from native trees such as the eucalyptus tree. Due to its value, honey was scavenged for and found in nests located in trees, stumps, rocky crevices and muddy river banks. • 26. Reflection On Faith Faith is a very complex subject on how it can be obtained and what can be done after it has been achieved. The treasures of having faith brings a person to be saved from any evil. In the last chapter of Mark, it explains therefore true faith in Christ is a treasure beyond comparison which brings with it complete salvation and saves man from every evil (Mark [16:16]). When faith is within the person it also brings them righteousness, which gives the ability to break the chains within the person (Luther pg 11 par 2). In Luther s perspective, the Word of God contains wisdom, liberty, joy, and other morals, which faith alone can only obtain those moral traits. The term work Luther uses in his writings is mainly about a certain action people will do such as community service or volunteering. Faith is difficult to have since any type of services work cannot make a person to have faith. Luther claims that person is divided up in two parts, and any type of work of the outer part of the body has no effect in faith, but when a person is saved by faith, Luther suggest giving back by helping other people or do good causes. Django with the help of a bounty hunter Dr. Schultz, set out to rescue Django s wife from a brutal plantation owner she has been sold to. Django Unchained includes plenty of Karl Marx s concepts of sociological theory including capital, labor exploitation, class struggle, materialistic ideology, accumulation and Emile Durkheim s concept of crime. KARL MARX CAPITAL Capital is instruments of labor which includes slaves under Karl Marx s definition. Capital can be historically specific instead of just being materials. For example, a black person is a black person until someone makes him a slave in certain conditions. In Django Unchained, Django and his wife among many other slaves in the movie were made into slaves by the people that took them from their homes in Africa and brought them to America. They would not be slaves if these certain conditions had not happened but since they did, they became instruments of labor and capital for their owners to sell and use as they saw fit. Many slaves in the movie were nothing more than exchange value. Exchange value, at first sight, presents itself as a quantitative relation, as the proportion in which values in use of one sort are exchanged for those of another sort (Edles and Appelrouth 2015:76). Apartheid was a reaction by these Afrikaners to this rapid change. This insistence on racial apartness became the political and legal doctrine of apartheid. It was an accepted Government policy that the Bantu (native) are only temporarily residents in the European (white) areas of the Republic for as long as they offer their labour there. (The Department of Bantu Administration and Administration 1957) This injustice of apartheid towards the Bantu population is evident through the unfair distribution of land. 80% of South Africa s land was given to the white minority population of the time, despite the fact that they consisted of less than 10% of the population. The government also introduced influx control laws to limit the number of permits released to black South Africans allowing them to leave their homelands and work in cities or on white farms. The white government s forceful policies included little to no spending on significant finances, which constructed services in the Bantu Homelands. Schools hospitals and public transport, reliable electricity and running water, public telephones and sewerage systems were rare. (L. Thompson, op cit, p 201.) This inequality and unfairness towards the Bantu population was evident for many years before apartheid collapsed. • 42. How Does Doolittle Like Helen In his rendition of Helen, Edgar Allan Poe paints Helen to be a marvel of society, which gives his poem a praising tone. Conversely, Helen by Hilda Doolittle has an insulting tone since Helen is portrayed as a hated figure. In Helen by Doolittle, she makes it very blunt that she does not like Helen. The poem starts off with All Greece hates, Helen, which means right from the start the poet sets up a very dark and hating tone. Doolittle also uses the word white over and over again. Usually white is used to signify purity and innocence, but Doolittle uses the word to mean cold and dead. Helen was the perfect women, so since Doolittle is writing this poem in the perspective of a Greek women Helen is hated due to jealousy. This is why Doolittle calls Helen cold and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Since Poe writes from the point of view of a man, he loves Helen because she is gorgeous. Poe says that Helen brings men Glory, and Grandeur. Though his extremely romanticized portrayal of Helen, Poe creates a praising tone. He is almost hailing Helen as a god. This is most evident when he says that Helen stands statue like. This is in deep contrast with Doolittle because Poe s poem almost makes Helen to be a god, while Doolittle s poem makes Helen to be a devil. Another place where the two poets are seen to have contrasting tones is in the structure of the poems. Poe s poem has an almost wavy like structure, the lines go in and they come back out. This gives the poem a very loose feel. This contributes the over romanticized view of Helen since the poem is set up to mirror the swooning of the Greek men. Conversely, Doolittle s poem is very stiff due to there being no indents. This stiffness helps to convey a tone of discontent and hatred. There is no emotion in the structure. Due to these contrasting stanza structure, Poe s poem clearly displaces a warm and loving tone, while Doolittle s structure conveys stiffness and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Although these Gods varied between ethnicities and religions, the general idea of a creator is consistent. Francis Bacon is better known for his theories that man will better understand nature if he uses the mind as a tool rather than rely entirely on scientific discovery. It is Bacon that attempts to connect the science and understanding of the physical world with society. Bacon s Novum Organum lists a series of aphorisms by which man should abide by in order to attain a better understanding of the natural world. These aphorisms are a guide to accepting science as the entire truth of the natural world. His writings are peculiar because he lays down these guidelines and within them there seems to be a constant message that instructs doubt in scientific experimentation, where Bacon himself is a scientist that utilizes the use of experimentation and scientific method. Moreover, he outlines the four classes of idols that effect the thought and minds of man, I have assigned names, calling the first class Idols of the Tribe; the second, Idols of the cave; the third, Idols of the Marketplace; the fourth, Idols of the Theatre (TOM 29). • 48. Different Crime Scripts Of Acquaintance And Decision... Although largely unreported, sexual offending by adult acquaintances is a highly prevalent crime (Silva, 2004). This review will look at how crime scripts , through a rational choice perspective, aids in the situational prevention of crime. Furthermore, it will analyse the literature concerning this crime, identifying the modus operandi and decision making processes adopted by offenders, defining the different crime scripts of acquaintance rape illustrated in previous empirical literature. This review will finally identify areas not charted by the literature and highlight where the literature could have logically continued with prescriptive preventative measures. Sexual offending by adult acquaintances is usually a purposive and deliberate act and therefore, according to Rational Choice Theory (which assumes this), in both the planning and execution of the offence, the offender will have made a series of rational choices, with the intent on benefiting themselves outweighing any perceived risks associated with their commission of this crime. (Clarke Felson, 1993; Cornish Clarke, 2008). Rational Choice Theory suggests that the decision to engage in criminal behaviour is influenced by a rational assessment of the cost benefit of the efforts, rewards and risks when encountered with a crime opportunity (Cornish Clarke, 1986; 2008). This perspective proposes that crime is committed because it provides the most effective means of achieving desired goals, such as money, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Whether I move to sad, upbeat, or empowering music, there is always something I listen to to drift away from the world and think. I think music is important for everyone because of that. However it seems hard for me to forget about what is happening, for the music I select matches the moods I am in.
