Chronic Gastritis
Gastritis is a disease of the stomach. This disease is caused by the damage of the lining of the stomach
due to inflammation, irritation or erosion. Gastritis may develop suddenly while in some cases it may
develop gradually. There are three different types of gastritis: chronic gastritis, acute gastritis and
atrophic gastritis. Some patients suffering from chronic gastritis may develop gastric cancer due to
having gastritis complications for such a long time. Acute gastritis causes symptoms that are not long
term but are influenced by a person s lifestyle. Atrophic gastritis is a chronic condition that can cause a
person to develop anemia. Atrophic gastritis can damage the stomach lining which then may lead to
the development of tumors. There

The Working Poor
The working poor are those people that work the hardest for their dollar, work the hardest to get their
paychecks, work the hardest to survive. Most of the working poor live paycheck to paycheck and like
the saying goes, robbing from Peter to pay Paul. There is a way out of poverty, and there is a way for
these struggling individuals to escape the perils of their life in poverty. It is not an easy road out, but it
is possible. It is important for those that are born into this lifestyle to know that this is not a
destination; there is hope that they will live a so called better life.
Who are the Working Poor? Before we describe who the working poor are, let s describe what poverty
is. There are two general methods of defining ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Gabourey Sidibe and Jennifer Hudson are a few stars that are heard about as going from nothing to
everything. You do not have to be a star to be able to escape from poverty though. There are many
programs that are available to individuals to assist them in finding employment and assistance to get
out of poverty. The programs that are available are reliant on the presidents and law makers that are
lobbied. The Bush administration had been wildly criticized for not being responsive to the needs of
the poorest Americans, (Burger, 2008, p. 20). At times an individual just needs help in getting shown
the right direction. Isolated in the projects, many like Camellia lack the encouragement and
connections to find decent work until a helping hand gives a push or opens a door, (Shipler, 2004, p.
123). To be able to break out of poverty an individual must not be afraid to leave.
Personal reaction conclusion Poverty is not something that effects just a certain population; it is non
discriminative. The working poor are the heart of America. They are people that we see every day. For
those that are living this way, it is important to know that there is a way out. In Shipler (2004) book
The Working Poor, he states, George W. Bush gave voice to the myth when he was asked whether he

Homeland Police Capabilities
Capabilities After the horrific attacks of 9/11, the U.S. Government created the Department of
Homeland Security, which then created over 220 different organizations and agencies to combat
terrorism and collect intelligence. These agencies and organizations receive orders and directions from
the National Intelligence Agency, and employees over 850,000 government employees with an
approximate annual budget of $100 million. With a large annual budget and multiple employees
working domestically and with foreign policy, the intelligence function has changed dramatically over
the last decade and a half. Foreign governments have scrutinized the National Intelligence (NI)

Members of the ACLU have declared that the acts of terrorists are infringing citizen s rights. However,
with the FBI using undercover personnel in intelligent operations has and continues to be very
successful. For homeland security to be effective, the intelligence capability will require the
integration of all state and local law enforcement agencies throughout the entire homeland security
enterprise. These law enforcement officers are the Nation s first preventers and the eyes and ears in the
intelligence process. Homeland security intelligence is getting accurate and timely information from

If the genetically transformed cells have acquired the ability to live in the presence of the antibiotic
ampicillin, then what might be inferred about the other genes on the plasmid that you used in your
transformation procedure?
The plasmid can be inferred to have the gene resistant to the antibiotic; thus, giving the transformed
cells the ability to live while in the presence of ampicillin.
From the results that you obtained, how could you prove that the changes that occurred were due to
the procedure that you performed? Look again at your four plates. Do you observe some E. coli

Summary Of Three Fragments
World War Two left people calloused and experience when it came to see through the eyes of death.
This event changed culture, storytelling, as well as literature. Trough these shifts in culture,
imagination grew with the thought of what humanity is capable of. Humans learned that they are
capable of destroying the Earth. This was a radical shift of thinking for humanity. The short non
fiction piece, Three Fragments, helps capture curiosity through this short essay. The essay is structured
to tease the imagination to fill in the gaps of the essay. The language is simple, clear, soft, dry and
quick. The simplicity of the language helps the reader creature clear mental pictures as they read the
essay. The image of death is behind all of the imagery in this essay. The first line of the essay grabs the
attention of the reader, I didn t tell you how I got lice wearing a German helmet. (Simic.) Lice
generally disgust people once the topic is brought up in public. The way this line is used at first, brings
up the subject like it is almost normal and causal. From. The first sentence in the essay, there is more

the start of this sentence, the reader should know that this is no typical childhood story, It was in those

Chaos and Literary Comparison Essay example
Chaos and Literary Comparison
Abstract: I will show how chaos is can be found in art, specifically in literature, and analyze John
Hawkes s Travesty to show the similarities between literature and chaos.
John Hawkes describes the artistic challenge as conceiving the inconceivable. In accordance with that
thought, Wallace Stevens says, Imagination is the power that enables us to perceive the normal in the
abnormal. It is arguable that chaos, deterministic disorder, is both abnormal and inconceivable to the
untrained mind; even to the person accustomed to chaos, the imagination is key to his/her perception
of chaos. Therefore, chaos can be found not only in nature and scientific studies, but also in art,

He refutes the perception of life as a slow, undisturbed flow; he welcomes turbulence as a factor of art
and life in general. He focuses on the processes by which turbulence is obtained, and on the moment
when that turbulence reveals itself. He is interested in the instant when the ordinary flow of molecules
becomes random: the transition between invention and destruction, the calculable and the inscrutable,
the process of life and the stasis of death (Conte, 123). He is aware that chaos is an undeniable part of
his life which he can only comprehend through his imagination and, therefore, through art (no matter
how bizarre that art may appear to be).
The initial conditions in the story are infidelity, betrayal, and artistic temperament. The variables
produced by these initial conditions are Papa s driving skill, the empty road, and the time of night. All
of these variables are crucial; if one is changed in the slightest way, it alters Papa s original plan,
thereby taking away the underlying meaning of the art and transforming it into mere debris. These
variables exemplify the Butterfly effect and sensitive dependence upon initial conditions, concepts
that suggest that even a minor change in the initial circumstances of a system (here, the conditions
leading up to the crash) determine its outcome. If by some odd happenstance, Papa s

Sample Examination For Professional Certification
Official Narrative Essay Examination for Professional Certification in Packaging
Member Name: Nick Giesse
IoPP Member ID: 19982
Submission Date: August 4th, 2014
This question is taken from Narrative Exam Code 2NEC C7: 4. Package design projects usually start
with a Package Design Brief document which will describe in some detail what the package is
suppose to achieve, with what product, targeted at what group, in what marketplace, against what
competition, by what means, and in conjunction with what other activities. Draw up a design brief for
a product of your choice. Include a sketch of the likely packaging system, and some general
assumptions regarding material performance requirements.
INTRODUCTION
Packaging engineers are tasked with collecting input from various functional areas in a business to
determine the best structural package for a project. Oftentimes, this project will start in the hands of
marketing or project managers, who determine the criteria the package must meet to fulfill the needs
of the project.
The packaging engineer can get this list of criteria in an organized format, usually in the form of a
package design brief, which is a document the project manager can use to get the right inputs to the
packaging engineer to start developing packaging concepts. Without this set of boundaries to design
against, it is difficult for the packaging engineer to begin any designs, because otherwise there are too
many possibilities that could be considered.

United States And The Open Skies Agreements Essay
The United States has numerous Open Skies agreements with most countries around the globe. The
agreements allow foreign airlines to fly to the U.S. with few, if any, restrictions from the U.S.
government and U.S. carriers to fly to foreign countries, also with little or no government restrictions.
However, many of the U.S. carriers, such as Delta, American, and United, believe that the Open Skies
agreements have some major loopholes, allowing the few subsidized airlines, such as Emirates, Qatar
Airways, and Etihad, to fly to the United States, as well as numerous other countries across the globe,
at lower operating costs than their non subsidized competition have to pay for the same route. These
agreements also allow the practice of fifth freedom operations. Fifth freedom operations permit one
airline to fly from their home country to another participating country, drop off and pick up
passengers, fly to a second participating country and then fly the whole route in reverse. These routes
are known as fifth freedom routes. Since they oppose the idea of fifth freedom routes, Delta,
American, and United [the U.S. Three] all want the U.S. government to limit the number of flights
these Persian Gulf carriers can operate to the U.S. because they believe that they are losing revenue
and customers to this group, known as the Middle East Three. One popular discussion topic is the idea
of fifth freedom routes. Ted Reed, a contributor to Forbes magazine, explains to the

Research Paper On Djinn
Nigh on a millennium ago, I was created. I was not made a human, nor made in the manner such
trivial beings come about. Instead, I was born a Djinn. However premature, let me intercede. The term
Genie is a title given to the whims of a literarily polluted culture, evident by how such a regal term
came to be the adjective for a blue a**. How such a blatant abomination occurred, I shall forever lack
the wisdom to know. The proper term for these beings is Djinn, as I shall refer to them, and, by
extension, myself.
I, as most Djinn are, was made from the primary elements which form the world; Earth, Water, Fire,

His part is to form the paint into a painting. He does this through a complex barrage of spells and
incantations to take the bare elements to a life. This is not done by giving the elements a form, for if
that mistake is made the Djinn is then left to stay in that final form, and (As this has saved me from
many a tight situation) shapeshifting is an invaluable tool. The Mages duty is to instill in the elements
a consciousness. A life. In doing such he leaves form to the Djinn in question. My inception was not
slightly different. Once given a mind, Djinn are immediately sent to the Other. (The Other is the
dimension in which all Djinn, regardless of power, reside. I will immediately forfeit any action of
description, for the human mind is trained to one dimension, and that is earth s. Deviation from Earths
will result in little worth the price). As one can imagine, those immediately brought to the Other are
not embraced, and are often treated as cannon fodder till they grow more experienced. I believe this
makes three, but once again, I

The True Cost Of Social Media Marketing Essay
The True Cost Of Social Media Marketing Everyone s heard the popular adage, There s no such thing
as a free lunch, meaning it s impossible to get something for nothing. In the same way, there s no such

King Louis Vii s Reign
Louis VII was a Capetian King of the Franks from 1137 until his death. He was the son and successor
of King Louis IV of France, or most commonly known as Louis the Fat. He was married to Eleanor of

contemporaries, including Odo de Deuil, Stephen of Paris, John of Salisbury, and Walter Map praised
Louis VII for his piety and his favorable disposition toward the church. He undertook pilgrimages to

Because of a disputed papal election, Alexander III sought refuge in France in 1162, where he

escape the wrath of Henry II, received widespread approval. Louis asserted his rights over the French
church, especially regarding episcopal elections in his realm and control over royal churches. To
provide continual support for his royal policies, elections to royal bishoprics often went to members of

Cicero On Duty Essay
Cicero s definition of duty is a term in which in this course, is far reached than what we would have
ever thought duty would stand for. Defining duty can be said to be a commitment or obligation to
someone or something that causes them to pursue a certain action. Duty is split into two parts which
consist of dealing with what is the supreme good and second, practicing rules which are strictly
regulated in all means of daily life. Another classification of duties are duties which are middle or
complete. Complete duty is link to being what is right . Middle duty is the reasoning behind why has it
been done. When Cicero writes about individual activism we consider the duties that are honorable

Other principles is that of carrying a great spirit. It would help you have courage in your actions and
for that reason you will hold honor towards yourself. When Cicero writes about the reasons for why
people have duties towards the public sphere he believes that the individual is part of the community.
He contributes it all the to belief of Stoicism. Aristotelian is another close source in which we can
speak about duties, but Cicero s true belief was that virtues is key to duty. Stoicism is the school of
thought that holds the belief that the only way we can make sense of our own existence is by devoting
ourselves to virtues. People who follow this pathway believe that the majority things of daily life are
stuff we can t control, but yet we can contribute our life to society in a better way. Honor is another
reason why individuals choose certain choices that lead you to be seen as a noble person in your
society. The wide picture is seen towards how the community sees the individuals actions according to
the standards in which have been placed. It doesn t seem like an individual would ever perform a duty
if honor wasn t the reward. An individual who doesn t care for much pleasure would mostly likely
seek out honor in the public sphere. In conclusion Cicero comes up with the belief that the main stance
on duty should always be honor, because honor is the only

paintings were including herself. She would paint her deep rooted feelings, a number of them may be
found disturbing for some, for example: My Birth, My Nurse and I, Henry Ford Hospital, The Broken

1920s.
Born July 6th, 1907, in Mexico with Mexican roots from her mother and German roots from her
father, Frida Kahlo was the second youngest of four. Frida contracted polio at a small age and was left
with a thinner leg deformity. At age 18 she had a tragic accident where she suffered major injuries
from her shoulders to her feet. The two she never fully recovered from was her broken spinal column
and her pierced uterus damaging her reproductive system permanently. She shared the same interests
as her father, but looked very much like her mother according to Moffat. In the film from Art 160 class

The experimenters inserted a capillary tube containing approximately 2 to 3 mm of benzoic acid into a
manual Mel Temp melting point apparatus. With the Mel Temp dial set between 3 and 4, the
temperature increased at a steady rate of approximately 2° C per minute from a plateau set at 90° C.
The first appearance of liquid occurred at 119° C, and the benzoic acid completely melted by 122° C
giving a melting point range of 119° C to 122° C for benzoic acid. Repeating the procedure for 2
naphthol returned a melting point range of 118° C to 123° C. Next, a 1:1 mixture of benzoic acid and

Discussion
A pure organic compound melts or freezes fairly sharply over a specific temperature range called its
melting point. This physical constant can help identify a substance. Generally, any impurity added to a
pure substance will lower its observed melting point and increase the range over which melting
occurs. Therefore, when two pure organic substances possess a similar melting point, a mixture
containing both substances will often melt at a lower temperature and over a broader range.
Conversely, if a mixture of a known and unknown substance actually contains a single substance, the
melting point of the mixture will not deviate from the melting point of the known.
Davis (1913) demonstrated that pairs of substances with similar melting points melted at lower
temperatures and over broader melting ranges when mixed. Since the separation and purification of a
compound from food or excretions often leaves toxicologists with very little material to examine,
Davis (1913) recommended the use of melting point and mixed melting point data for

The Globe Theater, Home of Many of Shakespeare s Plays Essay
ACTION!
The curtains of the play draw, the audience, quiet and eager waits for the lights to dim to see what
William Shakespeare had brought before them. Shakespeare s plays became enjoyable and fun to
watch, seeing actors dress in amazing costumes and props used in The Globe Theater. (1 1)
The Globe Theater Architecture based on the structures similar to The Coliseum in Ancient Rome.
Architecture on a grand size would house a capacity between 1500 to 3000 people. Classic Greek and
Romans admired by the Elizabethans and sometimes great columns included the architecture. The
Globe Theater design reflected the elements of Roman or Greek classical plays. It had supposed that
the Globe Theater had an octagonal shaped building. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The theater s wooden framework made at the builder s yard. Eventually taken apart and each piece
marked for re assembly on site. Bear building rings may have proposed to build the theater. It looked
circular though in fact it had several short sides. At the site carpenters constructed the marks and set
up the frames. The walls filled with entwine wattle and plastered over. Thatcher s or tillers covered the
roof that sheltered the galleries. The painting of the Globe was described as gorgeous or beautiful. On
June 27, 1613 a fire broke out at the Globe Theatre by the cannons that were used for special effects. It
filled with gunpowder and wadding. The thatched roof caught fire and the Globe Theatre burned to the
ground. In 1614 the Globe Theatre rebuilt again and back in business. (3 7)
When Shakespeare would put on plays he would have them during the warmer months, throughout the
day. People came to see the actors due to their wonderful costumes. The Globe actors generally wore
the dress costumes of their own. Fabulous costumes with vivid colors and aweing materials. Some
made especially for the actors while some donated by rich play goers. Globe plays had to be produced
in a great hurry in order to secure a quick change of new material. The performance for the
Elizabethan audience had to beat the competition from rival theater. Not enough time seem available
to build up a ready made store of costumes which

Diversity In The Movie Freedom Writers
Everybody thinks you should be happy just because you re young. They don t see the wars that we
fight every single day . Brandy Ross, one of the students in the movie Freedom Writers once said. This
is the predicament that the students in Woodrow Wilson High School faced every day. There are dead
bodies on the street, the students have to protect themselves from other gangs, and most of them didn t
finish high school. It might not be a big issue for us because we didn t face it by ourselves, but after
watching this movie you will know that it is a significant thing to look at. The differences among race
caused all of these problems, to deal with this is not easy at all. Freedom Writers show us that we can
live our life with distinction because it shows us how to understand and accept dissimilarity that we

It shows that diversity doesn t mean separation. Instead, we can live together peacefully with one
another. Ethics, skin color, and how you look are the things that make you who you are. Erin does not
only inspire the students, but the audience too. She never gave up on her position, moreover she is
enhanced in it each day. She didn t change the student s character, but she changed the student s point
of view and it made them feel like their lives were worth living. She broke down the walls that
separated the students from each other. This movie demonstrated that to change how we think about
our life can make our life different. The song in this movie helps in making the story more interesting,
you can clearly see how the story flows and how all the problems were solved. This movie shows us
what is happening now in our world, they demonstrated us the conflict and showed us that many
people have been suffering from it. Watching this movie with your friends and family is a marvelous

Is The NFL Protest Of Kneeling In The Star Spangled Banner...
Though the NFL protest of kneeling during the Star Spangled Banner appears to be disrespectful at
first glance, if one really takes the time to investigate the issue they will see it is a justifiable way to
express their first amendment right. Kneeling is something people do when they pray to show great
respect toward their heavenly father. However, when one person kneels during the National Anthem
many people go and claim their actions are disrespectful without any knowledge of why they kneeled.
Many believe that the kneeling is to show disrespect toward the country. Well, it s not. The protest is
really just about those denying the most basic freedoms. According to Julius Peppers, this wasn t
about disrespecting the military, disrespecting the flag, police, first responders, none of that, and those
are the reasons people are thinking for why the players are protesting. When really according to SB
Nation NFL, The players are simply protesting systemic oppression against people of color, police
brutality, and the criminal justice system. The national anthem is just the vehicle for the protest.
Meaning people of color just want equal rights and want to be treated like humans instead of animals.
Many may believe that people of color have all equal rights, yet those people that believe that are
white and may not be educated on what is happening around them. If people educate themselves on to
why this protest is happening they will see that even veterans are agreeing

Tornado Alley
Have you ever wondered what that spinning cloud in the sky is? Or why all of a sudden it is humid
out, but the wind is cold? There are approximately 1,000 tornadoes that occur each year in the US, but
there are also many that go undetected and unreported. In El Reno, Oklahoma, in 2013, a tornado hit
and covered 175 miles per hour. This was the fastest, and largest storm ever recorded. Oklahoma has
about fifty two tornadoes occur, on average a year.
The definition of a tornado is a small, very intense cyclonic storm with exceedingly high winds, most
often produced along cold fronts in conjunction with severe thunderstorms. A cold front is a front
along which a cold air mass thrusts beneath a warmer air mass. A warm front is a front along which ...

Some tornadoes may strike quickly, and with little to no warning. In the southern states the peak of
tornado season is March through May. In the northern states it is late spring to early summer. They are
most likely to occur between 3 pm and 9 pm but can happen at anytime.
A tornado in Oklahoma picked up a small herd of cattle and carried them across the countryside, then
sat them down and the cattle were unharmed. Dust Devils are a type of tornado that passes through a
desert area. There can be times when multiple tornados form at a time and then they travel in swarms
just like fish. The most powerful tornadoes are from the United States. Every tornado has its own
color, sound and shape that is just for itself, just like fingerprints, no tornado is exactly the same.
In conclusions, tornados are nothing to mess around with. Treat it just as every other intense situation.
There are many different ways to tell the difference in a tornado. Extreme weather is nothing to joke
around, about or just treat it like a little shower of rain. It s not, take shelter and be

Old Man Platypus By A. B. D Patterson Literary Devices
The title of this poem is The Oldman Platypus and is written by A.B. Banjo Patterson. The theme of
this poem is solitude. This is shown in stanza five verbally expressing, As he goes on his journey
lonely; For he s no relation to fish nor fowl . Another theme that was conveyed in the poem is ecstasy.
The old man platypus has a family, as verbalized in stanzas 3, With his wife and his son and daughter ,
this can be postulated as being jubilant because having a family is very important. Other evidence that
was shown in the poem was Safe in their burrow below the falls, they live in a world of wonder, which
can conclude that the old man platypus is blissful for being in a safe burrow. In this poem Patterson

many poetic devices used throughout the poem, Metaphor: Patterson utilises metaphor in stanza one as
it states, a fragment of velvet brown this represents the colour of the platypus. This metaphor tells the
reader that old man platypus has fur the colour of velvet brown . This refers to the earthly brown
colour of the platypus describing how a platypus in the river is like brown velvet. Similes: Similes are
employed in stanza four where it verbalizes, They sleep like little brown billiard balls . This technique
compares a slumbering platypus to a brown billiard balls. When the platypus tucks its beak under its
tail, it form an appearance resembling a billiard ball. This is a vigorous technique and can make the
poem intriguing and jocose to read. Personification: Personification was employed in stanza one, Far
from the trouble and toil of town, where the reed beds sweep and shiver . The reed beds are not
actually sweeping and shivering, but they are being moved in a way by nature, which makes them
look alive. This help with the dramatic effect of the

What Is Wine Etiquette Essay
Wine is not just a celebrated drink but it holds a seasoned place in the history of liquor. Like
everything in a human life has certain code of rules or etiquettes, wine also has one. I think one should
really know about wine etiquettes before feeling its flawless experience. Precisely, there are wine
fanatics, those principal aficionados of superior wine, and there are wine lovers, or those who just
value wine. The previous have a propensity to be sterner in their conduct and in how they serve and
taste.
The essential canon of wine etiquette and using up are for those of us who like a glass or two, must

If the server is offering you then this is what is going to happen with you. You must have a visual
inspection of the bottle and look at the label to ensure it is the wine and vintage you ordered. If it is
not, feel free to tell the server. The server will then remove the cork and put it on the table in front of
you. Pick it up, examine it and squeeze it to determine if it is dry and crumbly or completely wet both
of these clues say that air may have reached and spoiled the wine. Thereafter, the server will pour a
small amount of wine into your glass. Look at it against a white background. Swirl it, put your nose in
the glass, and take a deep breath. Take a sip and roll it around in your mouth before you swallow. If
you don t detect any flaws, nod to the server. That s what it takes to have an enormously delighting
adventure.
What is important to the beginners is to detect that if the wine smells like wet cardboard, tastes like
vinegar, or is otherwise flawed, you should give it back by simply saying that the you are afraid of the
bottle is bad and pathetic, so would like to return it. Even if you are the only one that notices a flaw,
the server should replace the bottle. The restaurant will send the bottle back to the distributor for free a

Bystander Effect Theory Essay
The Bystander Effect Theory
Have you seen a group of children bullying or pushing around another child? Did you stand by and
watch the situation and not intervene? If so, even with such a minor situation, you fell into the
bystander effect theory. The bystander effect happens every day in our lives and dates all the way back
to the Holocaust and even further back in history.
The bystander effect theory is a psychological phenomenon were people do not help others in
emergency situations when there are others present, the bigger the crowd the less likely chance of
someone stepping in to help. In 1964, there was a woman who was brutally murdered and there were
approximately 30 witnesses who did not intervene to save her. This case was ... Show more content on

People are just trying to live life and survive and if the situation is too out of control where we are
talking about guns being involved, then that s where people would draw a line and not do anything to
help. People start to fear that their own life becomes in danger if they try to intervene in something of
that magnitude. I can completely understand why people would be more hesitant when it comes to
helping others when they fear their own life can be taken from them. This type of fear is one of the
main reason the Holocaust happened and people did very little to help the Jews.
During the Holocaust there were mass killings involving huge crowds and a very massive witness
group. The Germans were brain washed to think the Jews were horrible people and they blamed them
for taking away their dignity as a country. There are reports of dozen of witness that stood by and did
nothing to help. A photographer took pictures of a man, a Luthuanian, beating 30 40 men to death with
a crow bar then watched as they sang their national anthem on top of the dead bodies. With a crowd so
enormous and so many people with hate in their hearts it would be so hard for someone to intervene in
that type of situation. Another example from the reading is a medical man was about to offer a
bandage to a Jewish lady but one of the guards approached them and threatened the medical s man
life. The guard instilled fear in this man and he went back and told

Selecting The Appropriate Research Methods
3. Methodology When selecting the appropriate research methods, it was important for me to carefully
consider the approaches that would best fit my research in order to reach meaningful conclusions. I
decided to choose approaches that I see fit around my research topic and would ensure I achieve the
results to come out of my research. As (Walker, 1985, p.46) advocates that Just as recipes are not
simply things that are done to food, but become concepts within which method and substance are
compounded. Methods in research can become an intrinsic part of the project. The methods we choose
are, in this sense, there to be tested, just as much as the substantive hypothesis . This claims that the
methods that are chosen to embark on an area of research are a vital part of the project and need to be
taken into account just as much as the question that the methods are used to answer it. Therefore, the
two approaches I chose to shape my research were a case study and appreciative inquiry to allow me
to collect the data I had selected which was the following; questionnaires, interviews and
observations.
3.1 Case Study
I have chosen to approach my research by using a case study approach which builds up a rich picture
of a case using different kinds of data collection and gathering the views, perceptions and ideas of
diverse individuals relating to the case. (Yin, 2009, p.15) states The case study method is most likely
to be appropriate for how and why questions . This supports

Examples Of Being An Outsider In Society
What is an outsider? An outsider is a person who is not excepted by or is isolated by society. Have you
ever been an outsider ? Everyone experiences a situation where they weren t able to fit in. The feeling
of not being able to fit it is universal. Not everyone is the same and in certain situations you may not
be able to bond with everyone. Everyone is focused on being judged or being the person who is
judging someone. If you are not like everyone in your society group, those people don t except you.
Nowadays our society feels that if you aren t up to people s expectations, you are known to be an
outsider . Being an outsider is universal because not everyone is social, not everyone can afford nice
things and not everyone is popular. In our society everyone expects to be the same, however, no one is
ever going to be the exact same. Everyone has different beliefs and different interests. Today people
judge the nice stuff people can afford and the way people dress. In the story, The Doll s House , there
were two girls known as the Kelvey sisters and they were really poor. They were dressed in bits given
to her by the people for whom she worked (Mansfield 203). Nowadays people judge you on
appearance and if you are dressed sloppy you are more likely to be made fun of. If you cannot afford
the up to date things people have a reason that they don t want to talk to you. If you are wealthy you
are more likely to be judgmental. Not all people are like this but it is known

Genesis Vs. Enuma Elish
Compare and Contrast: Genesis and Enuma Elish Genesis and Enuma Elish (also known as the Epic
of Creation,) are often compared by scholars due to their being a shared account between the two.
Even though both stories have their similarities, they are indeed very different in almost every way.
Genesis has one creator, God, while Enuma Elish has two. Genesis describes God creating sea and
land creatures on the fifth day, opposed to Enuma Elish where there are no accounts of this in the
Babylonian records.
In the chapter of Genesis in the Hebrew Bible, God alone, created the Heavens and the Earth from
nothing, he created humans from dust and the sun, moon, stars, and the seasons. In the Enuma Elish,

Michael Hyman s The Ethics Of Psychoactive Ads
When companies are making an ad for a product. One of their goals is to make it sound like the best
thing ever and if you don t buy it your regret it. The other is to make it so people can understand and
relate to it in an instant. They need to meet both of these goals so that the product or service that they
are trying to sale has the highest possible chance of getting sold. So in order to accomplice both of the
goals they need to implement different strategies and techniques. According to The Ethics Of
Psychoactive Ads by Michael Hyman, There are three simple practices that greatly increase the
effectiveness of an advertisement. The first is to aim the ad at the average person and not worry about
specific situations that good make your ad look bad. This is because the ad will encourage more
people to get the product or service and also its practically impossible to prevent an ad form offending

She says The very nature of the advertising medium itself necessitates the use of symbols and
advertisement was to be effective, its message had to quickly absorbed and understood. thus, in their
depiction of ethnic groups, advertisers often used commonly held stereotypes. A great example comes
from the same journal when they show an ad from 1936 where they have a black person helping a
white guy with his bags at a hotel. When most people thought a service worker at a hotel they thought
of someone like him and because of this serotype the ad has no reason to explain it the reader already
knows. The other part is making a person relate to the people in the ad. They do this by targeting a
specific group of people. The journal Caveat Emptor: Let the Buyer Beware does a great job showing
this, If a company wants to sell its product to women, very often there will be a baby in the ad. If a
company is targeting men, very often a beautiful woman will be the product s

The Hegemonic Construction Of Ireland
Migration has fundamentally changed the nature of Irish society. Ireland has recently become a
country of immigration; nonetheless the changes have been rapid and have changed the country
significantly both north and south of the boarder. It is one of a number of peripheral European
countries which has transformed from having a lengthy history of emigration, to becoming a recipient
of substantial inward migration. In Ireland today, migration Is one of the topics under discussion
(Gilmartin White 2008; 143). Although written in 2008, the statement remains true a number of years
later. Irish society has changed much in the last decade; new immigrant communities of ethnic
minorities are visible throughout the country. As a consequence of immigration, people are different in
significant ways and these differences create both opportunities and challenges.
This essay aims to analyse the current hegemonic construction of Ireland as an open, welcoming and
multicultural society on account of immigration. Additionally, the essay will draw upon the
overpowering prejudices shaped within contemporary Irish society by way of examining experiences
of racism within migration and non nationals. For the purpose of this essay, the definition of an
immigrant will follow closely what Hammar has proposed, An immigrant is a person who migrates to
a country and then actually resides there longer than a short period of time, i.e. for more than three
months (1985; 11).

  • 3. The Working Poor The working poor are those people that work the hardest for their dollar, work the hardest to get their paychecks, work the hardest to survive. Most of the working poor live paycheck to paycheck and like the saying goes, robbing from Peter to pay Paul. There is a way out of poverty, and there is a way for these struggling individuals to escape the perils of their life in poverty. It is not an easy road out, but it is possible. It is important for those that are born into this lifestyle to know that this is not a destination; there is hope that they will live a so called better life. Who are the Working Poor? Before we describe who the working poor are, let s describe what poverty is. There are two general methods of defining ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Gabourey Sidibe and Jennifer Hudson are a few stars that are heard about as going from nothing to everything. You do not have to be a star to be able to escape from poverty though. There are many programs that are available to individuals to assist them in finding employment and assistance to get out of poverty. The programs that are available are reliant on the presidents and law makers that are lobbied. The Bush administration had been wildly criticized for not being responsive to the needs of the poorest Americans, (Burger, 2008, p. 20). At times an individual just needs help in getting shown the right direction. Isolated in the projects, many like Camellia lack the encouragement and connections to find decent work until a helping hand gives a push or opens a door, (Shipler, 2004, p. 123). To be able to break out of poverty an individual must not be afraid to leave. Personal reaction conclusion Poverty is not something that effects just a certain population; it is non discriminative. The working poor are the heart of America. They are people that we see every day. For those that are living this way, it is important to know that there is a way out. In Shipler (2004) book The Working Poor, he states, George W. Bush gave voice to the myth when he was asked whether he meant to send a message with the inclusion of two blacks, a Hispanic, and two women in the first senior ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The plasmid can be inferred to have the gene resistant to the antibiotic; thus, giving the transformed cells the ability to live while in the presence of ampicillin. From the results that you obtained, how could you prove that the changes that occurred were due to the procedure that you performed? Look again at your four plates. Chaos and Literary Comparison Essay example Chaos and Literary Comparison Abstract: I will show how chaos is can be found in art, specifically in literature, and analyze John Hawkes s Travesty to show the similarities between literature and chaos. John Hawkes describes the artistic challenge as conceiving the inconceivable. In accordance with that thought, Wallace Stevens says, Imagination is the power that enables us to perceive the normal in the abnormal. It is arguable that chaos, deterministic disorder, is both abnormal and inconceivable to the untrained mind; even to the person accustomed to chaos, the imagination is key to his/her perception of chaos. Therefore, chaos can be found not only in nature and scientific studies, but also in art, specifically ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He refutes the perception of life as a slow, undisturbed flow; he welcomes turbulence as a factor of art and life in general. He focuses on the processes by which turbulence is obtained, and on the moment when that turbulence reveals itself. He is interested in the instant when the ordinary flow of molecules becomes random: the transition between invention and destruction, the calculable and the inscrutable, the process of life and the stasis of death (Conte, 123). He is aware that chaos is an undeniable part of his life which he can only comprehend through his imagination and, therefore, through art (no matter how bizarre that art may appear to be). The initial conditions in the story are infidelity, betrayal, and artistic temperament. The variables produced by these initial conditions are Papa s driving skill, the empty road, and the time of night. All of these variables are crucial; if one is changed in the slightest way, it alters Papa s original plan, thereby taking away the underlying meaning of the art and transforming it into mere debris. These variables exemplify the Butterfly effect and sensitive dependence upon initial conditions, concepts that suggest that even a minor change in the initial circumstances of a system (here, the conditions leading up to the crash) determine its outcome. Oftentimes, this project will start in the hands of marketing or project managers, who determine the criteria the package must meet to fulfill the needs of the project. The packaging engineer can get this list of criteria in an organized format, usually in the form of a package design brief, which is a document the project manager can use to get the right inputs to the packaging engineer to start developing packaging concepts. The agreements allow foreign airlines to fly to the U.S. with few, if any, restrictions from the U.S. government and U.S. carriers to fly to foreign countries, also with little or no government restrictions. However, many of the U.S. carriers, such as Delta, American, and United, believe that the Open Skies agreements have some major loopholes, allowing the few subsidized airlines, such as Emirates, Qatar Airways, and Etihad, to fly to the United States, as well as numerous other countries across the globe, at lower operating costs than their non subsidized competition have to pay for the same route. These agreements also allow the practice of fifth freedom operations. Fifth freedom operations permit one airline to fly from their home country to another participating country, drop off and pick up passengers, fly to a second participating country and then fly the whole route in reverse. These routes are known as fifth freedom routes. Since they oppose the idea of fifth freedom routes, Delta, American, and United [the U.S. Three] all want the U.S. government to limit the number of flights these Persian Gulf carriers can operate to the U.S. because they believe that they are losing revenue and customers to this group, known as the Middle East Three. This physical constant can help identify a substance. Generally, any impurity added to a pure substance will lower its observed melting point and increase the range over which melting occurs. Therefore, when two pure organic substances possess a similar melting point, a mixture containing both substances will often melt at a lower temperature and over a broader range. Conversely, if a mixture of a known and unknown substance actually contains a single substance, the melting point of the mixture will not deviate from the melting point of the known. Davis (1913) demonstrated that pairs of substances with similar melting points melted at lower temperatures and over broader melting ranges when mixed. Since the separation and purification of a compound from food or excretions often leaves toxicologists with very little material to examine, Davis (1913) recommended the use of melting point and mixed melting point data for

This type of fear is one of the main reason the Holocaust happened and people did very little to help the Jews. During the Holocaust there were mass killings involving huge crowds and a very massive witness group. The Germans were brain washed to think the Jews were horrible people and they blamed them for taking away their dignity as a country. There are reports of dozen of witness that stood by and did nothing to help. A photographer took pictures of a man, a Luthuanian, beating 30 40 men to death with a crow bar then watched as they sang their national anthem on top of the dead bodies. With a crowd so enormous and so many people with hate in their hearts it would be so hard for someone to intervene in that type of situation. Another example from the reading is a medical man was about to offer a bandage to a Jewish lady but one of the guards approached them and threatened the medical s man life. The guard instilled fear in this man and he went back and told ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 31. Selecting The Appropriate Research Methods 3. Methodology When selecting the appropriate research methods, it was important for me to carefully consider the approaches that would best fit my research in order to reach meaningful conclusions. I decided to choose approaches that I see fit around my research topic and would ensure I achieve the results to come out of my research. As (Walker, 1985, p.46) advocates that Just as recipes are not simply things that are done to food, but become concepts within which method and substance are compounded. Methods in research can become an intrinsic part of the project. The methods we choose are, in this sense, there to be tested, just as much as the substantive hypothesis . This claims that the methods that are chosen to embark on an area of research are a vital part of the project and need to be taken into account just as much as the question that the methods are used to answer it. Therefore, the two approaches I chose to shape my research were a case study and appreciative inquiry to allow me to collect the data I had selected which was the following; questionnaires, interviews and observations. 3.1 Case Study I have chosen to approach my research by using a case study approach which builds up a rich picture of a case using different kinds of data collection and gathering the views, perceptions and ideas of diverse individuals relating to the case. (Yin, 2009, p.15) states The case study method is most likely to be appropriate for how and why questions . This supports ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In our society everyone expects to be the same, however, no one is ever going to be the exact same. Everyone has different beliefs and different interests. They were dressed in bits given to her by the people for whom she worked (Mansfield 203). Nowadays people judge you on appearance and if you are dressed sloppy you are more likely to be made fun of. If you cannot afford the up to date things people have a reason that they don t want to talk to you. If you are wealthy you are more likely to be judgmental.
