In this paper we implement Triple DES algorithms in which the plain text is encoded using
various binary coded decimal systems such as 8421, 7421, 5421, excess 3, gray code etc...before
encrypting it and then observe the avalanche effect. Variations in the avalanche affect are observed
in the results. Experimental results exhibit a higher avalanche effect when the plain text is encoded
in some of the binary coded decimal systems.
Keywords: Data Encryption Standard (DES), Triple DES (3DES), Avalanche effect, Binary code.
1.INTRODUCTION
Information security is of prime concern as data is being transmitted digitally. A system must
provide the essential security services such as authentication, data integrity, data confidentiality, non
repudiation, access control, availability [1]. Cryptography is the study of techniques that provide a
means for secure communication. It enables the transmission of the information over insecure
channels. It ensures that the data is being accessed or is understood by the authorized persons only.
Encryption algorithms are one such mechanism that provide the data security. They are used to
encode the plain text into a cipher text which is not in a readable format. The initial input data is
known as the plain text. The scrambling of the data in the plain text using various substitution and
permutation mechanisms is encryption. The scramble data obtained is not readable and is the
cipher text.

Bareth Circle Allusions In Dubliners
Thus, we find that the early stories contain but the barest allusions to the Ninth Circle, and they
tend toward foreshadowing more than anything else, portending both the general literary and
philosophical thrust of the book, and the development of the characters from childhood to maturity,
especially spiritually. The second half of Dubliners, focused on adults and adult problems, contain
the bulk of Ninth Circle allusions, and some seem so deliberately crafted around the idea of the
Ninth Circle, that one might call them homages to Dante. In A Painful Case, we find over a half
dozen obvious allusions to the final three canti of Inferno. James Duffy, upon learning of his
former fiancГ©e s suicide (she deliberately steps in front of an oncoming train), finds himself in
a state of severe melancholy as he realizes that she killed herself out of a sense of betrayal, her
betrayal to her family with regard to her affair with James, and her betrayal by James with regard
to his decision to run away. James ponders all this as he makes his way through a deserted park
and along a lakeshore frozen in the depths of a dismal December the likes of which Ireland had
never before known, and which all worried it might know forevermore (source). Joyce writes,
James gnawed the rectitude of his life (Joyce 113), which puts the cogent reader in mind of Count
Ugolino della Gheradesca, one of the denizens of the Ninth Circle. Dante describes him as

Big Five Personality Model Of A Professional Workplace
Big Five Personality Model A professional workplace is an environment that produces numerous
challenging situations and if not handled correctly, could create a very unproductive organization.
A well qualified employee is selected to be responsible for overseeing many aspects of a
company, including difficult situations that arise between co workers. The term given to this
worker is a manager; their main task in the organization is to help other employees work more
effectively towards their goals. This may sound like a rather simple task, but it is very deep and
layered with different difficulties. Henry Mintzberg, an internationally renowned author on business
and management, broke down the tasks a manager faces into ten different roles. According to
Mintzberg s managerial roles, there are three categories that break up the ten roles a manager
performs: Interpersonal, Informational, and Decisional. Interpersonal encompasses figurehead,
leader, and liaison. Informational includes monitor, disseminator, and spokesperson. Finally,
Decisional covers entrepreneur, disturbance handler, resource allocator, and negotiator. It is clear
that being a manager is a demanding job and that it requires a high level of organizational and
interpersonal skills. There are numerous different research projects that have been performed in
hopes to discover a new way for managers to be more effective and successful in their day to day
activities. A remarkable amount of research supports that

The Shoemaker s Holiday
The play The Shoemakers Holiday by Thomas Dekker Shoemaker is a hilarious and happy
comedy. The theme of the play is basically that nothing in life goes by plan and that is what
makes life so funny. If the reader could not tell by the title, the play has a little something to do
with shoes; more specifically someone who makes shoes. A shoemaker and cobbler can be
interchangeable terms for someone who makes or fixes shoes. In the play, there is someone who is
disguised as a shoemaker who comes into some pretty bad luck due to a military draft. The play
does not only just deal with shoes; it also deals with different class statuses. The play The
Shoemaker s Holiday takes place when there is a battle going on in France. One of the main
characters, Rowland Lacy, falls in love with a girl in the middle class named Rose Oatley. Rose s
father does not approve of Rowland because of how Rowland spends money and is very wasteful
with his money, so in order to be able to get Lacy s father s blessing, Rowland has to join the Army
to be drafted for the war in France. To avoid going to war, he persuades someone else to take his
place and disguises himself as a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They use the same terms when they are trying to get their point across and when they are

Caesar borrowed some of the language from the cobbler in The Shoemaker s Holiday. He says:
The Cobbler is using withal in one of its normal meanings, nonetheless . And the line is probably
a reference to Simon Eyre in Dekker s The Shoemaker s Holiday. Simon Eyre, in a rival
playhouse, was meddling with tradesmen s matters and with women s matters. Shakespeare s

The Justifications Of Prison And Punishment
The area this dissertation will be focusing on is the justifications of prison and punishment, and
looking at whether these objectives are being achieved today in the current prisonsystem, with a
thorough analysis of short sentences.
In order to analyse this, short sentences will be looked at to discover whether the prison system is
working.
Throughout history, punishment has always had to be justified. For example, pre 19th century,
punishment, which included being sent to the gallows or being placed in the stocks, had the
justification of being a deterrent, as punishment was a very public event (BBC, 2012). This type of
punishment was then met with Petitions against executions and torture increased in the eighteenth
century (Poster, 1984), and as a result of these petitions, theorists such as Beccaria (1764) spoke of
creating a punishment that removed the element of torture. Foucault (1975) spoke of the moving of
punishment from the body to the mind, in order to present the prospect that their acts would that
their acts would cause more pain than pleasure so that, as rational beings, they would avoid
committing illegalities in the first place (Poster, 1984).
Prison has therefore been justified since the Gladstone Report (Departmental Committee on
Prisons,1895), which set the tone for penal policy, stating that prison would have a deterrent
function; there would also be a rehabilitative ideal about prison. The objectives of prison, as
described by Jewkes et al

Native American Civil War Essay
After the Civil War, thousands of Americans poured into the Great Plains on a collision course with
western Indian tribes. Homesteaders, ranchers, and miners encroached on Indian lands and
threatened native game and ways of life. They called on the U.S. Army to crush Indian resistance
and confine tribes to government controlled reservations. The resulting white, indian conflicts often
took a particularly brutal turn and ultimately resulted in the near de struction of the indigenous
peoples.Warfare between Europeans and Indians was common in the seventeenth century. In 1622

Indian raids often encouraged by the British were influential in causing the United States to declare
war on Great Britain in 1812. Someone by the name of Andrew Jackson led the counterthrust

Essay on The Benefits of Naps
What do people think of when they first hear the word nap? Everyday sayings such as snatching
a nap, being caught napping, snoozing, or stealing forty winks are all beneficial daily activities
we need to add to our busy life. If we do, we will be more awake and capable to reach our full
potential as an individual. People don t realize how important a nap can be. Although popular
beliefs suggest that naps are a waste of time, naps actually increase productivity by resting the
brain. Nap Basics In order to obtain the full benefits of the nap, there are certain rules that need to

You will be able to accomplish more. (qtd. by Griffey 42) An afternoon nap helped him with his
many responsibilities. Leonardo da Vinci used naps so much that he didn t need to sleep at
night. Every two hours, he would take a fifteen minute nap. Many believe this contributed to his
seemingly endless supply of creativity (Griffey 10). Thomas Edison would take one to two naps
per day, and once turned a patron away because he was taking a nap (Griffey 73). Bill Clinton
was known for taking naps whenever he could (Griffey 52). These famous figures dispel the
myth that taking naps means ones lazy. They accomplished so much, yet knew their individual
limitations. They gave full effort when frequent occasions required, but they also refused to run
too fast. We can learn from their examples, and restore the nap to our everyday routine. The
Need for Naps In today s busy world, fatigue in the early afternoon is nearly normal. Many
believe that this slump is caused by a heavy lunch. However, in reality, this occurs because we
were meant to have a mid afternoon nap (Jacobs). Those who take twenty minutes to nap when
this slump occurs receive special benefits because sleep during the day is more restful than extra
sleep in the morning (Scott). For everyone this can be a tough to do, especially when you have
something so beneficial. Society would do well to make room for naps. When you wake up in the
morning dreading the day, not wanting to

Movie, Blade Runner, The City And People Are Very Similar...
In the movie, Blade Runner, the city and people are very similar. They are both very different and
mysterious. The characters are not very well explained at first so give that mystery feel to them.
The city is very dark and different that other normal cities which make the city also look
mysterious. The director did this to add depth to the film and have the unknown so you can
interpret your own ideas into the movie. The cityand the people are all characters in a film. They
are the parts of the film that tell the story. The characters all play important roles. Without all of
them the movie would not be the same. It could have the same storyline but with different
people and a different city it becomes a new film. The city helps show the hidden meanings in
movies that the characters don t say. If they did say these things the city showed it would be a
long boring movie. In books these meanings are normally written but because there are no words
in movies normally, the director must show these thoughts. He will normally show this through
the weather of the city or just they way the city is acting. The city may be a busy city with cars
running around everywhere or really quiet with no one on the streets. The movie s characters and
cities are both needed to create a scene that has depth and is interesting. If neither of these are
visible then the film could not have been written very well. Both the city and people should be
similar to have the film make sense.

Succinate Dehydonate Lab Report
Hypothesis: We hypothesize that reagent Malonate will inhibit Succinate Dehydrogenase (SDH)
activity. Background: Malonate, also known as propanedioate, is a classic example of a competitive
inhibitor. Malonate has a molecular structure that is similar to succinate, so it has the ability to bind
to the active site of succinate dehydrogenase and inhibit enzyme activity. However, malonate is
sufficiently different from succinate that it cannot be dehydrogenated. [1] Malonate working as an
inhibitor to succinate oxidation is a popular occurrence. Succinate is oxidized to fumarate during
the Kreb cycle and the reagent s (malonate) inhibitory effect slows or halts that important step from
taking place.[2] A competitive inhibitor had a similar molecular... Show more content on

Langston Hughes And The American Dream
The epigraphy by Langston Hughes describes how dreams change after they had been put off.
When dreams fail, it affects each person differently. The person may just give up on the dream
completely, find a new way to reach the dream, change the situation so it may not be the dream
but something similar, or it can destroy other dreams too. The Youngers were an African
American family who lived on the south side of Chicago and barely scraped by with Walter s
job as a limousine driver. They all eagerly waited for the insurance money, produced after Walter
s dad passed away, to make their dreams come true. But when the check arrived, Walter gave most

left with the money had been jeopardized. As Hughes s Harlem predicted, his dream exploded,
leaving his family in the crossfire. Just as an explosion would damage the surroundings and
possibly killing people, Walter s dream damaged his ties to the family and destroyed their dreams.
However, he made it all up by fighting for their new house and as Mama said : He finally came

Medication Errors And The Efficiency Of Medication...
McComas, Riingenm and Kim (2014), conducted a study that investigated the occurrence of
medication errors and the efficiency of medication administration following the implementing an
eMAR system. The study was conducted in an appropriate setting and all observed nurses
volunteered for the study. Before implementing the eMARs mandatory class were provided and
nurses were evaluated for competency. Data was collected by observation and nurses were
randomly followed throughout a medication pass. Collected data consisted of medication errors,
distractions during medication pass and amount of time spent administering medications.
The results of this study was that the percentage of medication errors decreased following the
implementation of eMARs. Although medication errors were decreased, the authors found that the
eMAR system decreased efficiency and disturbed workflow. The authors state that factors such as
missing medications, preparing medication at the bedside, and distractions contributed to this and
are factors that can be improved. The author s identified the presence of several limitation in the
study. The use of one individual to collect data created a possibility of bias and the observation of
nurses may have affected the behaviors of the nurse. Also, the authors state that the study was not a
cause and effect study and was only conducted on one unit which decreased the generalizability of
the study. According the hierarchy of evidence for intervention studies, this

Equality In Early Generations In The United States
Earlier generations who migrated from other countries that came to start a new life had many
things to accomplish. At the start of the migration, people and settlers came for a new beginning
and also a fresh start at life itself. With that tough task at hand, it also came with a price, such as
equality, fighting for rights, the constant need for change and following a movement. During
this essay I will be able to shed some light and point of views on equality on generations, political
pressure, engaging in strikes and the division in social classes. In earlier generations, equality
was not a topic that was very popular. If you were born into a poor family, chances are that you

they are essentially trying to contain us, so that we are so unprivileged and exhausted we

Society plays a big role in a child s development and the way they are going to be raised. One of the
biggest solutions that can help is rehabilitation. This can help can help them and give them a

in the juvenile justice system has a history of poor academic education. In rehabilitation, the youth
has a right to receive education, such as getting caught up with their school work. Juveniles need a
strong education programs, so they are inspired to finish their studies and pursue careers in the

Competitive Cheerleading Persuasive Essay
Cheerleading is a sport!!
Hit! Hit! Pull! This is what keeps me and my competitive cheer teams energy up in our two minute
and thirty second routine that consists of stunting, tumbling, standing tumbling, and a dance which
is at the end of the routine. In 2013, competitive cheerleading is not considered an official sport.
There s been a lot of push for cheerleading recognition. Cheerleading should be considered a sport
because in competitive cheer you have to really push yourself physically and mentally. Especially,
when you re at practice or competing with your team.
What is a sport? According to Dictionary.com a sport is an athletic activity requiring skill or
physical prowess and often of a competitive nature. I ask myself all the time if gymnastics is
considered a sport then why isn t competitive cheerleading considered a sport. In gymnastics you
are on a team but you compete individually. Gymnasts do each event by themselves while
entertaining others. In competitive cheerleading you re on a team and you also compete with your
team while entertaining others. About 98% of all female cheerleaders were former gymnasts. I
believe that when this argument comes up people immediately think of school cheer, just yelling
words or cheers. Obviously if yelling words was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Hotel On The Corner Of Bitter And Sweet Summary
The novel Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet, is a unique story. In the story, we learn about
Henry on two fronts of his life, the younger, twelve year old Henry during 1942, as well as forty
year old Henry in 1986. The story is about a love that surpasses time and distance. We follow
Henry and his life as young Chinese American boy attending a mainly white school on a
scholarship. As a young boy, Henry feels out of place since he barely speaks with his own
parents, due to the fact that his father wants him to speak his American, and also because he does
not have many friends except for Sheldon, a street player. As as older man, Henry also has a hard
time communicating with his own son, Marty, even more after the death of his wife, Ethel. Then
Henry sees the Panama Hotelthat had been once boarded up decades ago during WWII. During
his scholarship at Rainier Elementary in 1942, a Japanese girl named Keiko joins him in his class.
Together, the two of them form a bond on the fact that they are outcasts in their school for being
different. Though, Henry s father looks down on his friendship with Keiko since he views Japanese
peopleas the enemy, and so he disowns Henry for his relationship with a Japanese girl. This of
course causes the canyon between Henry and his father to widen. Even as the U.S. executes order
9066, sending all Japanese Americans in the West coast to concentration camps, Henry and Keiko
still manage to keep their relationship. But as their letters

Benefits Of Controlling Airline Ticket Distribution
Airline Distribution System
Benefits of Controlling Airline Ticket Distribution
Recently, major United States airlines has made radical changes in market s distribution channels,
and one of the changes is controlling airline tickets distribution. The control of ticket distribution
has brought about many advantages to major airline companies across the globe by coming up with
internet ticketing websites that are less expensive, bypasses global distribution system as well as
the associated booking fees (United States General Accounting Office, 2003). Internet ticketing
has encouraged many passengers to book through internet websites, as these sites tend to be less
expensive by means of payment considering the traditional way where individuals would have to
visit the airline offices. Airlines have been able to trim the commission costs that they were paying
to travel agencies by using the internet. Consumers who booked via the internet websites have
benefited by being able to compare and access scheduling information, as well as finding special
low fares that are available (Paul, 2005). As far as the author is concerned, the strategy of
controlling the distribution of airline tickets varies from one airline to the other because of different
cultures; for instance, for a data vendor that is not global distribution system processes a booking
made through Continental website and, on the other hand, Delta airline normally controls its ticket
distribution through its computer

Should Be Allowed In Court Cases
Beside jurisdictional questions, I think we have three main arguments on the injunction fee s
issue. They are 1) the motion is not timely, 2) the statute does not allow for fees to be placed
upon the State, 3) the injunction was not improperly granted. I would start off by mentioning
that Idbeis v. Wichita Surgical Specialists, P.A., 285 Kan. 485, 488, 173 P.3d 642, 646 (2007) does
appear to be the main case in this area of law, and beside Idbeis most of the other cases tend to be
older, so some areas of this topic do not seem to be covered well. I would also note that if fees were
to be awarded, they would only be able to get fees related to attempts to overturn the injunction
and so say fees that were done for the general case would not apply.... Show more content on

В§ 60 905, provides that a party seeking an injunction post a surety. This surety according to the
statute is used to pay damages. The State though is not required to pay a surety and I believe
there is an argument to be made that damages can only come for sureties. I would first mention
that there is a case that does somewhat counter this idea. Brady, 25 Kan. App. At 795 96. In
Brady, the Court of Appeals did imposed fees on a party that did not post a bond, because the
court did not requirement them to do so. Id. The Court did indicate that the State may need to
post a surety, but this was dicta as the State did not play a role in the case. I should note that
attorney fees can only be required if there is a clear and specific statutory provision. Idbeis, 285
Kan. at 488. The Kansas Supreme Court has indicated that a party was entitled to recover if a
bond was present. Alder v. City of Florence, 194 Kan. 104, 111, 397 P.2d 375, 381 (1964).
Furthermore, the Court has also indicated that the bond itself it the source of damages. Texas
Const. Co. v. Hoisting Portable Engineers Local Union No. 101, 180 Kan. 393, 396, 304 P.2d
498, 500 (1956). An early Kansas case also found that a party could not recover in an amount
higher than the bound. Baker v. Craig, 127 Kan. 811, 275 P. 216, 217 modified, 128 Kan. 676,
280 P. 771 (1929). I think there is an argument to be made that because the statute does not require
Kansas to post a bond, that there is no source for damages to be paid under the

me and shake their head. This project is based on one of those more crazy ideas. Most people
don t understand the awesome capabilities of magnets. This paper will discuss the research of
magnets and the hopefully I will be able people the awesome things magnets can do. What I
Knew The day where I got the most brilliant idea happened on a cool fall afternoon, I had just
gotten home from school, throwing my bags on the ground. I carefully race down the stairs
without trying to make too much noise, before my mom yells at me and gives me a job to do.
After picking out a movie that I haven t seen in a while, I close the door and turn off the lights,
letting the setting sun be the only light in the room. I walk over and get cozy on the couch as the
movie begins to start. A little over half way into the movie my mother comes down and tells me
to walk down and water the sheep and a neighbors pasture. I sigh, pause, and get up and start to
walk down the road. As I m walking my mind begins to wonder like it always do. In the movie

What does the future of engineering look like and is this possible? The first one is my more

personal type. As a man of science (what I like to call myself) I always want to learn new things
and push limits to new limits and then break those so call limits. Plus I hate it when I m told no
or that s not possible. The great Walt Disney himself said Nothing is impossible, the word its self

research, but I really hope I have an answer to my question and know if this is

Edward Bernays Organizing Chaos
Edward Bernays: From Propaganda, Organizing Chaos , The New Propaganda, and The New
Propagandists
Bernays begins Propaganda by convincing the readers that there is some invisible power that
controls our thought. In the first chapter, Organizing Chaos, the author implies the audience of his
book many times. First, he mentions, The American voters soon found that without organization
and direction their individual votes . . . would produce nothing but confusion (10). It shows that the
context is mainly in America and the audience are the American people in the time that the book
was published. Moreover, there is a long list of organizations or groups that show how people are
separated; most items in the list is directly related to America.

in politics.
It is the purpose of this book to explain the structure of the mechanism which controls the public
mind, and to tell how it is manipulated by the special pleader who seeks to create public
acceptance for a particular idea or commodity (18).
Giving a brief summary of propaganda and stating the main intention of this book, the purpose of
the first chapter is to make the readers start thinking about propaganda which most of them have
never thought about before, the invisible government, and make them continue reading the next
chapters.
Besides focusing in politics, there are some techniques used to engage the readers. For instance, the
first few paragraphs of this book sound like they are from a manifesto.
We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we
have never heard of (9).
Using short sentences and strong passive verbs, the sentence is emotionally expressive; it
emphasizes that the power of propaganda is strong and is manipulating our

Arguments Against Gay Adoption
Only 25 out of 196 countries in the world have legalized same sex marriage, while only 26 allow
gay adoption. Gay marriage and adoption is widely opposed all over the globe. Though there s
been recordings of people who are LGBT as early as 2400 B.C, many still oppress those inside of
the community. Since the stonewall riots in 1969, the gay rights movement has been a slow
progression for equal rights and social acceptance. Gay marriage isn t deducting anything from
heterosexual marriages. Many make the argument that gay people shouldn t have the ability to
get married because of the inability to have biological children, but many straight people can t
reproduce either. In the case of gay adoption, many will argue that having same sex parents will
negatively affect a child, while no studies have proven this. Gay people should be able to adopt
and marry because they can raise kids as well as heterosexuals can, and marry without causing
harm. Smith 2 Why is gay marriage feared by a wide variety of heterosexuals, when it doesn t
take anything away from them? 44% of Australian residents opposed gay marriage in this years

So what? After reading Bruce Alexander s and Stefa Shaler s essay Addiction in Free Markets ,
this would be the first reaction of many readers, as it was my reaction upon completion of the
essay. Although Alexander and Shaler discussed a very important issue concerning Addiction in
Free Markets , they do not provide sufficient resources or correlative research to prove their
argument. Firstly, their thesis statement does not agree with many of the facts and statements that
are being presented throughout the essay. Moreover, the essay sidetracks from what it is trying to

The we in this statement is ambiguous, and does not clearly define what vast majority group they
are referring to. Although a historical context can prove to be useful in many cases while reading a
piece of literature, in some cases it can prove to be quite wordy and unnecessary. Moreover, I
believe there are instances where phrases, such as ... must not be distorted by personal loyalties,
village or neighbourhood responsibilities, guild or union rights, charity, family obligations, ethnic
tastes and aversions, social rules, or religious values... (229) are just put in there for the sake of
saying something. That statement, as others in the opening paragraphs, does not have anything to
do with what the authors are trying to get across to the national body. Moving onwards, there is a
disassociation between the thesis and the arguments that support the thesis. While the thesis is
stating that an individual must ...find that they develop substitute lifestyles in order to endure
(230), and then further along stating that Canadian natives have the racial inability to control
alcohol (231); it almost seems that their issue is contradicting that statement. How can it be that an
inability to control alcohol is the same as developing a substitute lifestyle? On a similar note,
Alexander and Shaler state that the key to controlling addiction is maintaining a society in which
every member is included in a larger

The Controversial Topic of Genetic Testing
Genetic testing has become a highly controversial issue among both the general population and
the scientific community. It is a process that exposes a person s entire genome sequence, allowing
it to be read and evaluated to identify potential risks for genetic diseases or diseases that could be
passed onto offspring (Holt Productions, 2012). With thousands of genetic tests already being used,
and more being established, it seems logical to put this growing technology to use. Some agree that
it is a person s right to know and understand his or her genetic makeup. However, others argue that,
despite the benefits of genetic testing, caution should be used to carefully inspect the risks
associated with this new technology.

Embryonic screening allows for the elimination of inherited diseases before birth or a treatment
plan before birth. In breast cancer patients, genetic testing allows the physician to know if
chemotherapy is necessary, which would expand treatment options. Genetic testing could eliminate
years of experimental testing and medication use used to diagnose a new disease. Overall, genetic
testing is in alignment with the core medical philosophy that early prevention leads to early
treatment, which leads to an overall better outcome for the patient.
The opposing side argues, however, that society is not ready for this technology. People may not
be capable of handling the emotional or psychological stress associated with genetic testing.
Results may vary between genetic testing companies and many variables, such as sampling
errors, could lead to a false positive or false negative test. Further, it is possible that some people
may interpret the seriousness or implications of their results incorrectly. This could result in
people making unnecessary, and even dangerous, lifestyle changes. For example, if a person is
told that he or she has a 60% of being diagnosed with breast cancer, that person may undergo
preventative surgery to avoid the disease; however, such surgery may have been unnecessary, as
the person may never have developed the disease.
Additionally, as the popularity of genetic testing increases, some fear that a

Atlanta Truck Awareness Essay
Let An Atlanta Truck Accident Attorney Help Protect Your Rights! According to the National
Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), approximately 342,000 large trucks were
involved in traffic collisions in the United States during 2013. From the data collected by the
NHTSA, seventy one percent of truck accident fatalities were people in other vehicles and
seventy two percent of the injuries were sustained by occupants of other vehicles. This disparity
between truck drivers and occupants of other vehicles is likely caused by the difference in weight
and size between commercial trucks and passenger vehicles. During a collision, the force of the
impact from a commercial truck can literally rip apart or completely crush a passenger vehicle....

The trucking industry is governed by complex federal laws and regulations. You need an
experienced Atlanta truck accident lawyer who understands trucking regulations and laws to
protect your right to a full settlement. For example, large trucks are required to have black boxes
(much like the boxes in airplanes) that record critical information such as speed and braking
immediately prior to a collision. If you do not hire an attorney with experience handling large truck
accident claims, your attorney may fail to take quick action to protect the evidence on the truck s
black box. This could be the evidence you need to prove the truck driver was at fault for the
collision. You must prove fault in order to receive compensation for your injuries. Furthermore,
insurance companies for the trucking industry aggressively defend truck accident claims because
large truck accident claims are usually quite substantial. Therefore, insurance companies have teams
of professionals who immediately begin investigating the case to limit the company s liability.
Aggressive insurance adjusters and investigators pursue accident victims to attempt to obtain
evidence to use against them or pressure them into settling the claim prior to consulting with an

Software Development Methodologies For Software Engineering
Software development methodologies A software development methodology in software
engineering is a framework that is used to structure, plan, and control the process of developing an
information system. A wide variety of such frameworks have evolved over the years, each with its
own recognized strengths and weaknesses. One software developing methodology will not suit all
projects requirements, and best suited should be chosen based on various technical, organizational,
project and team considerations. Most methodologies share some combination of the following
stages of software development: Analyzing the problem Market research Gathering requirements
for the proposed business solution Plan and design the software based solution Implementation
(coding) of the software Testing the software Deployment Maintenance and bug fixing. The goal of
this section is to conduct overview of the most widely used software development methodologies.
Waterfall methodology The traditional approach to software development can be illustrated
through the waterfall model which is time tested and easy to understand. The waterfall model
approaches software development in sequential manner, completing one activity before the other.
It brakes up project in stages: requirement analysis, design, coding and testing, operation and

How Did Edgar Allan Poe Build Suspense
Edgar Allan Poe wrote many famous works of literature, some of which are: The Raven, The Fall
of The House of Usher, The Tell Tale Heart, and The Black Cat. Most of his works were filled with
horror as his background was one we all are glad we never had. With his background his
atmospheres of horror are far better and deeper than most writers. In The Tell Tale Heart
, Poe uses
the setting and the sound of the beating heart to bring fear into the reader s mind. At the
beginning we are brought into the mind of a man that lives alone with an elderly man. They live
in a small house in a quiet neighborhood. Already we can picture the setting from a horror movie
or horror story. The setting is also always during the night. Once the speaker goes to kill the old

hears the beating of the old man s heart speed increase. The slow build up of volume and speed
makes the speaker more nervous and guilty, until he can no longer take it so he confesses in a

The Book Of Proverbs By King Solomon
The book of Proverbs is a collection of proverbs, poems, and parables written by King Solomon
in efforts to teach wisdom to God s people. Although I would not deem myself to be an extremely
religious person, I believe I identify with with Proverbs the most because whether you are
religious or not this book of biblical wisdom teaches many moral lessons that can be applied for a
better life and connect with many contemporary issues. This is important on a grander scale as
well because as many people of my generation see the Bibleas something that should only be read
and applied to your life if you believe in God, but these verses reveal that they can used to teach
you how to live a good life in this day of age regardless of religious background by looking at the
Bible as a literary source instead of solely just a religious one.
One of the most common contemporary issues today is relationships. King Solomon touches on
the idea of finding the perfect significant other when he states, A wife of noble character who can
find? She is worth far more than rubies (New International Version, Proverbs 31:10). King
Solomon is saying that a woman of good honest character is more valuable than any material
object. You could have an influx of riches and a sexy model girlfriend, but what does it matter if
she is constantly cheating on you with other men and using you for your money. I closely identify
with this excerpt in particular because it applies to my generation s relationship

Milton Friedman s The Free Market Theory
Milton Friedman bases his opinion on businesses and profit maximization on the foundation of
free enterprise. The free market theory believes that business managers have only one primary
responsibility, which is to maximize profit; also, the theory tells that government should not
involve in economic matters, except to prevent fraud and coercion (p. 7) Mr. Friedman argues
that a corporation, unlike a person, cannot have responsibility. I disagree with this notion. I don
t think that anyone would engage in a business contract with a corporation if they thought that a
corporation was not responsible to pay its bills. So therefore, a corporation can have legal, and
moral responsibilities. Milton Friedman uses what, to me, is the key phrase as long as it stays
within the rules of the game but does not define the phrase in terms of the legal system. My
question is what about the rules of the game that are not so much as even suggested in the law?
There are other rules that companies have to follow if they want to be successful; such as the
obvious supply and demand rules in the marketplace. Also, as we have seen with the production of
new ideas and technologies, the law follows progressions in technology and thinking. But the
principle of responsibility leads the legal cases being decided. Being compliant with the law may
keep them out of court, but companies know that holding themselves accountable to a higher
standard will keep them in a good place with their customers,

To unwind from tests, teachers, school work, and learning. All those subjects are very stressful in
a young teenager s life. Our lunch hour is the only hour from 8:00 a.m. to 2:50 p.m. that we have
that we can just get away from school, and relax and have fun.
This is why we must fight for a longer lunch hour.
My friends and I are always rushing down to lunch, which takes time out of our unwinding. Then
we have to run like the wind back up to the school. And running after eating isn t a great idea.
Especially, if you had burger bar. This rushing and stressing over tardie s doesn t help with the rest
of the stress that you get from ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Tardie s equal restitution that equals money, which most kids cantafford to go to. So, if they made
the lunch hour longer the less fortunate students wouldn t have to pay for there restitution.
Teachers love there time away from the 800 kids they see every week day of every month,
except for the few holidays that we have. But, there lunchtime is also there time to relax. And get
away for a little while. Therefore, the teachers get there time to drive to where they want to eat,
get there meal, eat, relax, and drive back, and not be in any type of rush. Doesn t that just sound
terrific? Come on now, really. Who wouldn t want that? I sure would. I sure know you would to.
No one can disagree with me on this. I personally could get almost every kid and every teacher in
Snow Canyon Middle School to sign a petition saying that they want a longer lunch hour. Why
cant we all just be happy, and have a longer lunch hour? Is that just too much to ask? I wouldn t
think so. It s only a few more minutes. Who is that going to hurt? And if it does hurt anyone then
what would it do to them? Everyone should just get their way, and have a longer lunch hour. If
you think about it, it s more of a holy hour. Time away from everyone and everything. How great
life would be with that holy hour. That is why we should have a longer holy hour . So everybody
who is anyone

London Underground Murders
On July 7, 2005 in the United Kingdom, London 52 people were killed in a terrorist attack and
700 were injured. At 8:50 am on July 7, 2005, explosions tore through three trains on the London
Underground, killing 39 people. An hour later 13 people were killed when a bomb detonated on the
upper deck of a bus in Tavistock Square. More than 700 people were injured in the four attacks. The
bombings quickly shattered the joy that had accompanied the announcement the previous day that
the International Olympic Committee had awarded London the 2012 Summer Games. In response,
the London Underground was closed in central London and thousands of hours of footage from
London s ubiquitous closed circuit televisions were scanned for evidence. In the initial

Fever Bliss By Sylvia Plath Analysis
Sylvia Plath s Fever 103В° demonstrates the author s personal difficulty with attempting to cleanse
her purities through the burning fires of hell which happens to be contradicting herself and
explaining how she immediately receives a cathartic release through the fever and emergence of a
new self. Throughout the poem, Plath strives to gain a sense of empowerment and control of her
identity; this identification can be seen in the stanzas through the use of literary devices and sudden
shifts allowing the reader to gain an understanding of the interpretation that the author happens to
be far from pure and aims to achieve pureness through the many literary devices utilized within the
excerpt. Plath interprets the power of fire through metaphors that happen to have a dual force; it can
be seen as constructive and destructive, which enables one to either move towards or further away
from the purest element. The author, Plath, begins her poem with imagery that serves to be both
complex and contradictory she evokes purity as an inanimate object that must be able to purge all
existence of myriad sins. Continuing the poem Plath remarks, the aguey tendon, the sin, the sin (line
7) in order to indicate how the fires of hell, which should theoretically be able to burn her clean
and pure being, are unable to achieve in doing so. Then, adding direct emphasis on how fire has
been depicted through multiple ways, the author uses repetition in the lines that consist of, love,
love, the low smokes roll from me like Isadora s scarves... anchor in the wheel (lines 11 13). Love
has been duplicated in order to echo the sin, the sin in the previous stanzaand this instantly enables
the reader to notice the speed of the changing metaphors that Plath has incorporated within the few
lines; this change is similar to a catastrophic difference, such as radioactive materials to Greek
mythology. This shift neutralizes the feverish poem into a gentle and calming idea of simply
freeing all sins. The original concept of accomplishing purity through the burning fire then shifts to
a rather complex idea of the author s personal difficulties that also involve the world and its natural
disasters. In Plath s view, they [the smoke] will

Dynamic Characters In The Winter s Tale
In order to grow and learn, one must be dynamic and not static. The definition of a character
being dynamic is when a person undergoes an important inner change in their personality and/or
attitude. Static character is the opposite of dynamic; static characters are defined in such a way
that the character does not show any changes from the beginning of the story to the end of the
story. In Shakespeare s play, The Winter s Tale, there are a couple of characters that are dynamic,
but there are also some characters that are static. Dynamic characters are those who either learn
from a lesson or are otherwise changed by what they have faced and experienced. These type of
characters, also provide the most information for a characteranalysis because... Show more content

These type of characters do not change as much or even at all throughout the story. Also, these
static characters are mostly never the main character and they can be viewed as either good or
bad. The personality of the static character when they are introduced are the same personality
they have when the story comes to an end. In addition, all of their actions in between the story
stays true to their personality. An example of a static character would be the Joker because at
the beginning of the movie, the Joker is look upon as a homicidal, psychotical maniac. When it
comes to an end, the Joker is still a homicidal maniac, which is different from Batman who is
dynamic, because he never changed his personality throughout everything that he had to endure.
Another character who is static would have to be Scar from The Lion King. Scar is a static
character because at the beginning of the movie he is an evil and vile character who lives in the
shadows of his late brother, Mufasa. He also thinks only about himself because he wants to be the
king and he would do anything to rule all of the pride land, that his brother use to rule. Scar is a
static character because he keeps all of his traits and never changes up on his personality and
mentality even up until the very moment when he

Margaret Sanger Birth Control Movement
Margaret Sanger s Contributions to Nursing Through her Birth Control Movement Margaret
Louise Sanger, a nurse in the early mid 1900s, was the first to promote and spread information
regarding birth control. She was passionate about women having the right to their decision of
bearing children. She also wanted women to be educated about the risks involved and informed
about methods of birth control. Sanger did not have many male supporters; however, she used
her perseverance to her advantage and continued to advocate her ideas to the public. Eventually,
her thoughts and ideas made headway to magazines and newspapers, allowing the information to
become public knowledge for any woman wanting to understand more about birth control. She
not only wrote magazines and articles, she also opened several clinics and performed
procedures on women wanting medical assistance that was denied by many doctors. Sanger s
stance on birth control lead to various outbreaks and conflicts; however, her accomplishments
overpowered her obstacles, and birth control is now a decision for women across the world
(Knowles, 2009; Margaret, 2001; Margaret, 2017; Topics, 2015; Wardell, 1980). Biography
Margaret Louise Sanger, a women s activist who initiated the U.S. birth control movement, was
born in Corning, New York on September 14, 1879 (Margaret, 2001). She married an architect,

Variations in the avalanche affect are observed in the results. Experimental results exhibit a higher avalanche effect when the plain text is encoded in some of the binary coded decimal systems. Keywords: Data Encryption Standard (DES), Triple DES (3DES), Avalanche effect, Binary code. 1.INTRODUCTION Information security is of prime concern as data is being transmitted digitally. A system must provide the essential security services such as authentication, data integrity, data confidentiality, non repudiation, access control, availability [1]. Cryptography is the study of techniques that provide a means for secure communication. It enables the transmission of the information over insecure channels. It ensures that the data is being accessed or is understood by the authorized persons only. Encryption algorithms are one such mechanism that provide the data security. They are used to encode the plain text into a cipher text which is not in a readable format. The initial input data is known as the plain text. The scrambling of the data in the plain text using various substitution and permutation mechanisms is encryption. The scramble data obtained is not readable and is the cipher text. ... • 4. Bareth Circle Allusions In Dubliners Thus, we find that the early stories contain but the barest allusions to the Ninth Circle, and they tend toward foreshadowing more than anything else, portending both the general literary and philosophical thrust of the book, and the development of the characters from childhood to maturity, especially spiritually. The second half of Dubliners, focused on adults and adult problems, contain the bulk of Ninth Circle allusions, and some seem so deliberately crafted around the idea of the Ninth Circle, that one might call them homages to Dante. In A Painful Case, we find over a half dozen obvious allusions to the final three canti of Inferno. James Duffy, upon learning of his former fiancГ©e s suicide (she deliberately steps in front of an oncoming train), finds himself in a state of severe melancholy as he realizes that she killed herself out of a sense of betrayal, her betrayal to her family with regard to her affair with James, and her betrayal by James with regard to his decision to run away. James ponders all this as he makes his way through a deserted park and along a lakeshore frozen in the depths of a dismal December the likes of which Ireland had never before known, and which all worried it might know forevermore (source). Joyce writes, James gnawed the rectitude of his life (Joyce 113), which puts the cogent reader in mind of Count Ugolino della Gheradesca, one of the denizens of the Ninth Circle. Dante describes him as gnaw[ing] upon the head of one of his ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Big Five Personality Model Of A Professional Workplace Big Five Personality Model A professional workplace is an environment that produces numerous challenging situations and if not handled correctly, could create a very unproductive organization. A well qualified employee is selected to be responsible for overseeing many aspects of a company, including difficult situations that arise between co workers. The term given to this worker is a manager; their main task in the organization is to help other employees work more effectively towards their goals. This may sound like a rather simple task, but it is very deep and layered with different difficulties. Henry Mintzberg, an internationally renowned author on business and management, broke down the tasks a manager faces into ten different roles. According to Mintzberg s managerial roles, there are three categories that break up the ten roles a manager performs: Interpersonal, Informational, and Decisional. Interpersonal encompasses figurehead, leader, and liaison. Informational includes monitor, disseminator, and spokesperson. Finally, Decisional covers entrepreneur, disturbance handler, resource allocator, and negotiator. It is clear that being a manager is a demanding job and that it requires a high level of organizational and interpersonal skills. The theme of the play is basically that nothing in life goes by plan and that is what makes life so funny. If the reader could not tell by the title, the play has a little something to do with shoes; more specifically someone who makes shoes. A shoemaker and cobbler can be interchangeable terms for someone who makes or fixes shoes. In the play, there is someone who is disguised as a shoemaker who comes into some pretty bad luck due to a military draft. The play does not only just deal with shoes; it also deals with different class statuses. The play The Shoemaker s Holiday takes place when there is a battle going on in France. One of the main characters, Rowland Lacy, falls in love with a girl in the middle class named Rose Oatley. • 8. The Justifications Of Prison And Punishment The area this dissertation will be focusing on is the justifications of prison and punishment, and looking at whether these objectives are being achieved today in the current prisonsystem, with a thorough analysis of short sentences. In order to analyse this, short sentences will be looked at to discover whether the prison system is working. Throughout history, punishment has always had to be justified. For example, pre 19th century, punishment, which included being sent to the gallows or being placed in the stocks, had the justification of being a deterrent, as punishment was a very public event (BBC, 2012). This type of punishment was then met with Petitions against executions and torture increased in the eighteenth century (Poster, 1984), and as a result of these petitions, theorists such as Beccaria (1764) spoke of creating a punishment that removed the element of torture. Foucault (1975) spoke of the moving of punishment from the body to the mind, in order to present the prospect that their acts would that their acts would cause more pain than pleasure so that, as rational beings, they would avoid committing illegalities in the first place (Poster, 1984). Prison has therefore been justified since the Gladstone Report (Departmental Committee on Prisons,1895), which set the tone for penal policy, stating that prison would have a deterrent function; there would also be a rehabilitative ideal about prison. The objectives of prison, as described by Jewkes et al ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

If they did say these things the city showed it would be a long boring movie. In books these meanings are normally written but because there are no words in movies normally, the director must show these thoughts. He will normally show this through the weather of the city or just they way the city is acting. The city may be a busy city with cars running around everywhere or really quiet with no one on the streets. Background: Malonate, also known as propanedioate, is a classic example of a competitive inhibitor. Malonate has a molecular structure that is similar to succinate, so it has the ability to bind to the active site of succinate dehydrogenase and inhibit enzyme activity. However, malonate is sufficiently different from succinate that it cannot be dehydrogenated. [1] Malonate working as an inhibitor to succinate oxidation is a popular occurrence. Benefits Of Controlling Airline Ticket Distribution Airline Distribution System Benefits of Controlling Airline Ticket Distribution Recently, major United States airlines has made radical changes in market s distribution channels, and one of the changes is controlling airline tickets distribution. The control of ticket distribution has brought about many advantages to major airline companies across the globe by coming up with internet ticketing websites that are less expensive, bypasses global distribution system as well as the associated booking fees (United States General Accounting Office, 2003). Internet ticketing has encouraged many passengers to book through internet websites, as these sites tend to be less expensive by means of payment considering the traditional way where individuals would have to visit the airline offices. Airlines have been able to trim the commission costs that they were paying to travel agencies by using the internet. Consumers who booked via the internet websites have benefited by being able to compare and access scheduling information, as well as finding special low fares that are available (Paul, 2005). They are 1) the motion is not timely, 2) the statute does not allow for fees to be placed upon the State, 3) the injunction was not improperly granted. I would start off by mentioning that Idbeis v. Wichita Surgical Specialists, P.A., 285 Kan. 485, 488, 173 P.3d 642, 646 (2007) does appear to be the main case in this area of law, and beside Idbeis most of the other cases tend to be older, so some areas of this topic do not seem to be covered well. I would also note that if fees were to be awarded, they would only be able to get fees related to attempts to overturn the injunction and so say fees that were done for the general case would not apply.... The State though is not required to pay a surety and I believe there is an argument to be made that damages can only come for sureties. I would first mention that there is a case that does somewhat counter this idea. Brady, 25 Kan. App. At 795 96. In Brady, the Court of Appeals did imposed fees on a party that did not post a bond, because the court did not requirement them to do so. Id. The Court did indicate that the State may need to post a surety, but this was dicta as the State did not play a role in the case. I should note that attorney fees can only be required if there is a clear and specific statutory provision. Idbeis, 285 Kan. at 488. The Kansas Supreme Court has indicated that a party was entitled to recover if a bond was present. Alder v. City of Florence, 194 Kan. 104, 111, 397 P.2d 375, 381 (1964). It is a process that exposes a person s entire genome sequence, allowing it to be read and evaluated to identify potential risks for genetic diseases or diseases that could be passed onto offspring (Holt Productions, 2012). With thousands of genetic tests already being used, and more being established, it seems logical to put this growing technology to use. Some agree that it is a person s right to know and understand his or her genetic makeup. In breast cancer patients, genetic testing allows the physician to know if chemotherapy is necessary, which would expand treatment options. Genetic testing could eliminate years of experimental testing and medication use used to diagnose a new disease. Overall, genetic testing is in alignment with the core medical philosophy that early prevention leads to early treatment, which leads to an overall better outcome for the patient. The opposing side argues, however, that society is not ready for this technology. People may not be capable of handling the emotional or psychological stress associated with genetic testing. Results may vary between genetic testing companies and many variables, such as sampling errors, could lead to a false positive or false negative test. Further, it is possible that some people may interpret the seriousness or implications of their results incorrectly. This could result in people making unnecessary, and even dangerous, lifestyle changes. For example, if a person is told that he or she has a 60% of being diagnosed with breast cancer, that person may undergo preventative surgery to avoid the disease; however, such surgery may have been unnecessary, as the person may never have developed the disease. From the data collected by the NHTSA, seventy one percent of truck accident fatalities were people in other vehicles and seventy two percent of the injuries were sustained by occupants of other vehicles. In The Tell Tale Heart , Poe uses the setting and the sound of the beating heart to bring fear into the reader s mind. Although I would not deem myself to be an extremely religious person, I believe I identify with with Proverbs the most because whether you are religious or not this book of biblical wisdom teaches many moral lessons that can be applied for a better life and connect with many contemporary issues. This is important on a grander scale as well because as many people of my generation see the Bibleas something that should only be read and applied to your life if you believe in God, but these verses reveal that they can used to teach you how to live a good life in this day of age regardless of religious background by looking at the Bible as a literary source instead of solely just a religious one. One of the most common contemporary issues today is relationships. King Solomon touches on the idea of finding the perfect significant other when he states, A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies (New International Version, Proverbs 31:10). King Solomon is saying that a woman of good honest character is more valuable than any material object. The free market theory believes that business managers have only one primary responsibility, which is to maximize profit; also, the theory tells that government should not involve in economic matters, except to prevent fraud and coercion (p. 7) Mr. Friedman argues that a corporation, unlike a person, cannot have responsibility. I disagree with this notion. I don t think that anyone would engage in a business contract with a corporation if they thought that a corporation was not responsible to pay its bills. So therefore, a corporation can have legal, and moral responsibilities. Milton Friedman uses what, to me, is the key phrase as long as it stays within the rules of the game but does not define the phrase in terms of the legal system. My question is what about the rules of the game that are not so much as even suggested in the law? There are other rules that companies have to follow if they want to be successful; such as the obvious supply and demand rules in the marketplace. Also, as we have seen with the production of new ideas and technologies, the law follows progressions in technology and thinking. But the principle of responsibility leads the legal cases being decided. • 43. Fever Bliss By Sylvia Plath Analysis Sylvia Plath s Fever 103В° demonstrates the author s personal difficulty with attempting to cleanse her purities through the burning fires of hell which happens to be contradicting herself and explaining how she immediately receives a cathartic release through the fever and emergence of a new self. Throughout the poem, Plath strives to gain a sense of empowerment and control of her identity; this identification can be seen in the stanzas through the use of literary devices and sudden shifts allowing the reader to gain an understanding of the interpretation that the author happens to be far from pure and aims to achieve pureness through the many literary devices utilized within the excerpt. Plath interprets the power of fire through metaphors that happen to have a dual force; it can be seen as constructive and destructive, which enables one to either move towards or further away from the purest element. The author, Plath, begins her poem with imagery that serves to be both complex and contradictory she evokes purity as an inanimate object that must be able to purge all existence of myriad sins. Continuing the poem Plath remarks, the aguey tendon, the sin, the sin (line 7) in order to indicate how the fires of hell, which should theoretically be able to burn her clean and pure being, are unable to achieve in doing so. Then, adding direct emphasis on how fire has been depicted through multiple ways, the author uses repetition in the lines that consist of, love, love, the low smokes roll from me like Isadora s scarves... anchor in the wheel (lines 11 13). Love has been duplicated in order to echo the sin, the sin in the previous stanzaand this instantly enables the reader to notice the speed of the changing metaphors that Plath has incorporated within the few lines; this change is similar to a catastrophic difference, such as radioactive materials to Greek mythology. This shift neutralizes the feverish poem into a gentle and calming idea of simply freeing all sins. The original concept of accomplishing purity through the burning fire then shifts to a rather complex idea of the author s personal difficulties that also involve the world and its natural disasters.
