Conclusion
The result of the experiment was a success. The C program used the BBB kernel via paths to operate
the LED as specified. The push button set the system to manual mode and turned off the light if it was
on and turned the LED on if it was off. The second push of the button switched it back to automatic
mode. The turning on and off of the LED also resulted in accurate time stamps of the LED being on or
off.
The lab was pretty simple, however, the process was a little challenging in the beginning. Unlike the
previous labs, we had to configure each pin for our desired functionality, which made it a bit difficult.
The majority time on this lab was spent on configuration of the pins, rather than writing the code.

On 9/22/2016 I came down to Mrs. Gauthier s office to attempt to change my schedule as I believe
losing 5 weeks of work in a core and elective is uncalled for, in addition some of my classmates were
able to revert their schedule changes. Now I made it clear to her that the point of my schedule change
was not due to me wanting a specific period to talk to friends, but instead to have the same teacher to
minimize the loss of work I would have, as losing over a month of work out of the quarter is

A substrate is a molecule which is acted upon by an enzyme. For a chemical reaction to occur through
enzyme, substrate molecules bind to the active site of an enzyme, which contains residues that
catalyse the reaction of the substrate.
Hypothesis: If the concentration of the substrate is increased, then the rate of enzyme activity will
decrease. This is because as the concentration of the substrate increases, there is an increasing amount
of occupied active sites at any given moment. This will cause a decrease in the rate of enzyme activity
as substrate active site collisions are increasingly slowed down thus bringing down the rate of enzyme
activity.
