Heroin
Heroin is known as morphine diacetate or diamorphine when it is used in medical environment, it is also referred to as black tar among other names in
colloquial language. Alder Wright was the first person to synthesize heroin in 1874 when he added two groups of acetyl to morphine molecules (Rubin, 2013).
Heroine is an active drug which can also be used in medicine to treat severe pain that results from heart attack or injuries; it is absorbed in the body as
morphine. According to Levert (2005), the word heroin is only used when discussing it in illegal form. Heroin is made from opium a substance produced from
the poppy plants resin and it is the raw material for heroin, the opium is further processed to make morphine and then ... Show more content on

The National Survey on Drug Use and Health reported that most drug users share needles that they use to inject themselves with while using heroin. Sharing of
needles by heroin users is due to the fact that doctors and many pharmacy boards are not allowed to sell needles and syringes to unauthorized personnel, so the
only avenue left for drug users is to share the available needles they have. This has contributed to spread of HIV aids among the heroin victims therefore
exposing them to more health dangers. Infact, 30% of global HIV infections in Sub Saharan Africa are caused by sharing needles during drug injections,
furthermore, heroin injection rose from 2% in 1993 to 15% in 2000. Heroin users and other drug addicts have been reported to be more exposed to unsafe sex a
fact that have exposed them even more to these diseases. This analysis shows that heroin and drug use are among the factors that are causing HIV aids to
increase in the world (Levert, 2005).
Heroin not only affects people using the drug but, the problems also affect other people close to them too, it has an immense trickle down effect on society.
The cost to the society is immense as indicated by the financial implications and the excessive use of healthcare resources to rehabilitate heroin addicts (White,
2009). The society also uses vast resources on funding law enforcement to

Children s Awareness Of Racial Attitudes And Preferences
Race Status
In 2012, Margaret Beale Spencer, child psychologist and a leading researcher the field of child development, was brought on by CNN to design a pilot study
that examines children and race. The study aimed to reveal children s awareness of racial attitudes and preferences. The results were shown during Kids on
Race: The Hidden Picture , on AC360Ā°.
After watching this study play out, it was obvious that children seem to be given messages about what is viewed as the good/positive race, and which is viewed
as the bad/negative, race. Although it might be expected that each child would choose their respective race as the one they gravitate to for the positive
questions, and a different race for the negative questions, what was unfortunate was that both White and Black children showed a bias towards Whites. Since
children are so strongly influenced by their environments, and the people around them, we can assume that they are being exposed to implicit racism, and
subconscious bias attitudes. As stated by Dr. Spencer, We are still living in a society where dark things are devalued, and white things are valued. Antonia
Darder worked for many years to understand how members of bicultural groups learn to function in both their primary culture, and that of the dominant,
mainstream culture in the society in which they live. This includes cultural conflicts, racism, and other forms of cultural invasion (p. 48). In order to ease the

Essay on Juvenile Deliquency
Edwin H. Sutherland s formulation of differential association theory proposed that delinquency, like any other form of behavior, is a product of social
interaction. On October 14th, 2002, 17 year old Lee Boyd Malvo was charged by the state of Virginia for two capital crimes: the murder of FBI analyst Linda
Franklin in the commission of an act of terrorism and the murder of more than one person in a three year period. Sutherland s nine propositions of differential
association best explains Malvo s act for the following reasons: (1) Malvo learned how to commit each heinous crime through his social interaction within his
intimate group, (2) Malvo learned the techniques to commit each crime through his mentor, i.e. learning the skills ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Edwin H. Sutherland s propositions of differential association argues criminal behavior, like any other behavior, is learned from others. That is, delinquent
behavior is not an inherited trait but rather an acquired one (Juvenile Delinquency, p.153). Sutherland claims that criminal behavior/ juvenile delinquency is
learned through a youth s relationship within intimate personal groups. These intimate groups are far more influential for adolescents than any other form of
communication such as the media. In the case of Lee Boyd Malvo, he had a personal relationship with Muhammad, Malvo s mother ex boyfriend. After Malvo
s biological father left his mother, she often left Malvo unattended and in the care of friends. Malvo s mother eventually abandoned him again which he then
went to live with Muhammad, a gulf war veteran, who had became his father figure, friend and mentor. Malvo s longing for a father was replaced by
Muhammad and the duration of his time outside of school was with Muhammad. Malvo had only been living in the United States for a year after migrating
from Jamaica, before he moved in with Muhammad. One can assume that Malvo became attached to Muhammad because he lacked a father figure as well as
companionship in a new country where he felt alienated from family and friends in Jamaica. Muhammad later converted Malvo to Islam.
If the principal learning of criminal behavior occurs within intimate personal groups, differential association

The Spell of Sensibility
The Spell of Sensibility
Although the Romantic Era s general perspective regarding a woman s sensibility may seem distasteful to most contemporary readers, the viewpoint was
commonplace during the period. To be clear, this was mainly the assumption that women were dominated by their specially configured and delicate senses,
rather than reason and intellect. Authors like Edmund Burke passively promoted these fragilities in his verbosely titled piece A Philosophical Enquiry into the
Origin of Our Ideas of the Sublime and Beautiful. While this point of view retained popularity, there were thankfully those who sought to tear it to shreds. The
author Mary Wollstonecraft, widely lauded as the first Feminist , actively addressed sensibility and more in her political and polemic treatise Vindication of the
Rights of Woman . She cites deprivation of quality education for women, as well as their condescending treatment in society as reasons for this sort of
behavior. But to better understand why women were seen this way in the first place, it will help to briefly to define what Romanticism really is, in a cultural
and literary context. And while it is no longer as potent as it once was, the spell which tricks society into believing women are a secondary and frail sex, is one
that still has power today, and it is a spell which should be permanently broken.
Regarding women and their so called sensibility, Edmund Burke writes:
Among animals, the greyhound [dog] is more

Argument On Santa Clauses
Santa Claus was well known as a kind man who had a long white bread, wore big red white clothes and carried children s gifts with his flying reindeers as a
vehicle. Christians all around the world have had Santa traditions since the 1820 s, which is lying children to believe in Santa, hang a sock on the window,
behave nicely and go to bed early so that Santa can come and give them presents (Sleepypanda 2013). Until December 2016, psychologists claimed that Santa
myth could destroy children s trust to parents. All children will eventually find out they ve been consistently lied to for years, and this might make them
wonder what other lies they ve been told, (Boyle McKay 2016)
Based on my experience, when I was in elementary school, I remember the time that my English teacher asked us to write postcard, she said that she would
send the most beautiful postcard in the class to Santa Clause, so we put high effort to create an outstanding postcard. They also asked us to behave nicely for
all day because Santa would come to the room and gave good children a present. In that time, the reason I believed what they lied because I thought that
teacher always teach student the true and right thing, so they must tell us the truth as well. But, as time goes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Differences Between New England And Middle Colonies
Differences between the New England and the Middle colonies
In the early 17th century, colonies were being established by outside settlers from European countries. The Middle colonies consisted of New York, New
Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware. The New England colonies consisted of New Hampshire, Massachusetts Bay, Connecticut and Rhode Island. Each colony
had their differences when it came to religious beliefs and the economy. The Middle colonies had a higher tolerance for religious beliefs. There were great
amounts of diversity when it came to religion. The various types of religion at the time were: Presbyterian, Church of England, Dutch Reformed, Dutch
Lutheran, Seven Day Baptist, German Reformed and the Quakers, who were later known to lead the charge in freeing slaves. Many Europeans frowned upon
the idea of religious freedom. The freedom to express religious or non religious beliefs attracted many European settlers. This tradition was later allowed ...

The medical term for a tummy tuck is Abdominoplasty. The purpose of a tummy tuck is to tighten the abdomen walls and muscles. It does a great job of
minimizing a protruding stomach, but it s not always straightforward. Some possible side effects after having a tummy tuck include scarring, infection or a

The Impact that Lenin had on Russia and the Russian People
Russia was an enormous empire and had over 55,650,000 Russians in it. The leader of Russia from 1905 to 1917 was Tsar Nicholas II (emperor) who was ruler
of Russia. The Tsar was independent and had autocratic power, which meant that he shared his power with no one, meaning Russia didn t have to vote. Before
the Tsar was in power the Russian army performed a war against Japan and lost because their army was very unequipped and was made up of conscripts

The Social Democrats was another main group in Russia. The factory workers mainly supported these people because all the existing Governments would be
overthrown and all the wealth would be shared evenly. These people wanted a complete and radical change and wanted to get rid of the Tsar.
====================================================================
In 1905 there was a revolution, which failed, once the war ended things got really bad in Russia because mutinies were happening in the army because they
had no equipment, food and training. Strikes broke out and around 250,000 people went on strike because the peasants didn t get land, the soldiers wanted to
lead there normal lives again and get a job, also Social Revolutionaries wanted a Duma which was a parliament. So the Tsar set up a Duma but didn t really
listen to their suggestions and if somebody said anything wrong then he dismissed the whole parliament. So I don t really think it was real democracy, but this
carried on for a while so the Tsar survived the attempt of a revolution, which failed.

Disaster Of Emergency Management Plan
When disasters strike, emergency management plans get put into action. Often we see terms such as mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery used to
describe emergency management. This paper will look into the recovery aspect of disasters. We will see all of the planning that goes into recovery to best
minimize the effects of a disaster. From the planning to the training to the execution phases, we can agree that recovery is an important part of emergency
management. We will explore disaster recovery from the points of view of the American Red Cross, FEMA, and other key agencies. Because when we think
about it, disasters are going to happen and recovery will happen too.
When disaster strikes will you be ready? We hear this all the time and I think some us are ready. But what about after? What do you do? Where do you go or
turn for help? Most us will turn to our leaders for guidance and help. To look at recovery lets first define it. The dictionary defines recovery as a return to a
normal state of health, mind, or strength. The action or process of regaining possession or control of something stolen or lost. Disaster recovery is the area of
security planning that deals with protecting an organization or community from the effect of significant negative events. (Rouse, M) These negative events
could be anything from hurricanes, earthquakes, other types of natural disasters to that of cyberattacks and terrorist attacks. Plans to help with recovery tend to

Fourth Of July Themes
Born On the Fourth of July like a spoken narrative, has many themes that overlap throughout the story. It s I think inaccurate to say that there is one theme that
encompasses the idea and spirit of the book as it is more like an autobiography than a fictional narrative. Throughout the length of the story, themes of
dehumanization, sacrifice, feelings of betrayal and having to rebuild oneself weave into the narrative. These themes are dependent on each other and are in
some ways a part of a bigger theme. They cannot in the case of this story stand alone because they play a role in the overall story that would be incomplete if
all of the themes weren t included.

Proverbs Essay
Proverbs: Choice and Discernment, the Two Ways of Living
In studying the book of Proverbs there is a similar theme of choice and discernment, the teachings of decision making and the repercussions of your actions.
These books are made up of extremes and polar opposites. The dualisms are the rich and poor, the righteous and the wicked, and the wise and the foolish.
There is advice given and it is up to the judgment of the person to which category they will fall into. There are two ways of living, and based on the person s
discernment and ultimate choice to which one they will get to live. This paper will focus on Proverbs 10, 12, and 14, Solomon s Proverbs, to display this theme
of choice and discernment. Proverb 10 is an ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The passage is most explicit to what will actually happen if a man chooses the wrong kind of wife. He will greatly suffer if his judgment was bad on whom to
marry, he will experience physical ailments. If the man uses wisdom in making the decision to marry a capable wife, he will be rewarded for acting wisely. If
you are lazy, you will never get what you are after, but if you work hard, you will get a fortune (12:27). This passage shows that the repercussions to your
decisions can be very bountiful. If you make the right decision to work hard and not be lazy, you will come into wealth and get what you are after in life.
Retribution is not an entirely satisfactory term, however, for the English word connotes punishment rather than reward, and immediate rather than gradual
consequences . This passage is showing that there is not just consequences, there are rewards for discernment, and God/dess will provide those to you. Again,
this Proverb is about choosing which way of life suits you; in all cases, having better judgment and being righteous will always bring you a better life, and be
profitable. Proverb 14 continues to address this dualistic approach on advice. Homes are made by the wisdom of women, but are destroyed by foolishness
(14:1). This passage is very interesting because Proverbs has been directed mainly to men, and this is telling the men that their women are wise. It would be
foolish to not listen to a woman. Your house is not built with

Nothing is more enduring than a mother daughter relationship. This bond is specifically explored in the books, The Battle Hymn of a Tiger Mother by Amy

Analysis Of The Article The Life Of East St Louis ...
The article Life in Mississippi: East St Louis, Illinois is one that is not taken lightly. The article shows one the injustice that African Americans face in the city
of St. Louis. The article all together is shocking and heartbreaking. To know that in a country that is suppose to be one of the greatest, if not the greatest, there
still is so much injustice is not only eye opening but also upsetting. One of the 2 most heartbreaking parts for me was when Kozol describes the old men
leaning on his cane listening to Jesse Jackson and crying. This is something so powerful to me because this is someone who has experience all of the hardships
that east St. Louis has to offer and he has to live knowing that not much has change and maybe Jesse Jackson was the only one promising the change they
deserve. The last scene was when one of the students goes up to Kozol after class and tell him that what Dr. King did was nothing because they are still living
in such horrible situations. For a teenage kid to think and feel that way, they must have had to suffer through so much, which is exactly what the article is able
to show us, the injustice that these kids face on a daily basis. Having read this is shocking to one because we live in a different area where we aren t prone to
see such things and because we have grown up and taught to believe that racism and poverty is almost non existing because this is American a country that

A Bad Case of Inferiority Essay
Although a reader cannot assume the narrator is also the author, in some instances the resemblance is uncanny. Charlotte Perkins Gilman s short story The
Yellow Wallpaper , drew on her own experience of undergoing the infamous Rest Cure of Doctor Silas Weir Mitchell to write her story. According to Gilman,
[The story] was not intended to drive people crazy, but to save people from being driven crazy, and it worked (The Forerunner). Through her platform of
writing Gilman successfully illustrated the inferiority women suffered. The Rest Cure led people to believe that women should live as domestic a life as far as

According to the Rest Cure women were never to touch pen, brush, or pencil again thus emulating male dominance over female freedom in the form of artistic
expression (The Forerunner). Within the story the narrator uses writing as an escape; however, she keeps it completely hidden from her husband. An example
of the narrator s submission to her husband s commands would be as followed: There come John, and I must put this away her hates to have me write a word,
(Gilman 627). By neglecting her own self wants the narrator gives into the will of her husband. This action of compliance shows the power that men can have
and how they sometimes exercise that power to make women feel inferior. The nursery, exemplifies the theme of inferiority, serves as the main setting for the
story. The irony is that the ill person needs to be taken care of and resides in the nursery; thus, the husband is treating the narrator like a child. Through diction
the reader can clearly see how the narrator is made to feel inferior. An example of inferiority would be when John calls the narrator little girl after she is caught
walking around the house alone (Gilman 632). The phrase is most associated with little children not with grown women. By calling his wife a childish name he

by students for many years. Although outdoor graduations may cost more than indoor and require a lot more effort, they could be worth a student s time and
money in the end. That is why an outdoor graduation should be a student s first choice over an indoor graduation. First off, an outdoor graduation should be a
student s first choice because it would allow more people to attend the ceremony. for example, if a graduating class consists of more than 500 people, then

fewer people are able to hunt because glyphosate has caused the deer population to severely decline. The issue arose in 1996 when Monsanto released
Roundup Ready crop varieties, which can withstand the application of Roundup herbicide and pesticide (Waldman 42). Monsanto enticed farmers by
presenting the advantages of quicker maturing seeds with higher yields, improved nutrient composition, and an increased tolerance to ... Show more content on

An article written by Peter Waldman reveals that traces of glyphosate have been detected in cookies, crackers, chips, breakfast cereals, and honey, and in
human urine and breast milk (42). This highlights the evidence that no matter where you live, you are ingesting glyphosate. At the same time, this quote is
informing people that there are no regulations on glyphosate remnants in food. Also, in Montana a wildlife rehabilitator, Judy Hoy, found that glyphosate
precipitated mineral deficiencies and thyroid hormone disruption in whitetail deer, leading to the population decline over the past several years (Whittington).
With this evident one can see that production agriculture is harming our native wildlife. Meanwhile, Argentina agriculturists are experiencing the obstacle of
glyphosate tolerant weeds, known as superweeds, as well as volunteer genetically engineered crops that pop up and are resistant to glyphosate. These issues
have caused farmers to apply twice as much herbicide on the crops to remove the contagions (Gordon 154). This crisis shows that glyphosate is not always a
surefire way to remove weeds and farmers have to use more chemical to get the desired effect. Thus, the extra chemical further pollutes nearby water and the
soil causing more damage to the environment. Likewise, the United Kingdom is encountering identical problems, on top of other serious troubles. An editorial
by Jeffrey Smith shines a light on the issue that when an insect, such

The Similarities Between Primates And Chimpanzees
Primates can be defined as an order of mammals that includes apes, humans, monkeys, lemurs, tarsiers and lorises. According to the evolutionary history,
originally primates evolved from their ancestors who lived on trees. Today there are approximately 235 species of primates, and they all range in their habitats
and sizes. Thus, the biggest primate is lowland gorilla, whose weight is around 180 kilos, while the smallest one is mouse lemur living on Madagascar. Its
weight is only 30 grams. There are different classifications of primates offered by scientists. However the most common and widely accepted is the division of
all primates into two groups: the prosimians and the anthropoids. The prosimians that are also called as primitive primates ... Show more content on

The first arboreal theory was considered to be the dominant until it was question and other two theories appeared. According to the arboreal theory, primate
evolved in order to meet the needs of arboreal life, which means a development of necessary senses or adapting already existing senses to new life style. For
example, since primates lived in the three dimensional world, they needed a good stereoscopic vision that would allow them easily move through the
environment. Therefore, the orbits of the first primates had been changed in order to achieve stereoscopic vision. Since the vision has become a primary sense,
the sense of smell has reduced and, as a result, the snout was shortened. Its adaptation of the primates to the environment allowed them to survive. The second
theory known as the visual predation theory contradict the first theory and claims that all the features of primates mentioned above, including grasping feet and
hands, orbital convergence and the reduced claws, were developed as a result of pressure to forage for insects and fruits in the forest during the night time. For
example, a good orbital vision allows primates to gauge the prey s distance without additional moving of the head. The third theory is the most recent among
all three theories. According to this theory the primates have undergone the adaptive

Albert Camus The Guest
The Guest, by Albert Camus, is about an alleged murderer who is handed over to a solitary schoolmaster who lives in his schoolhouse on top of a plateau in the
Atlas Mountains. Daru, the schoolmaster, is ordered by an old acquaintance to deliver a supposed murderer, the Arab, to the police in a nearby town where he
will most likely be sentenced to death for killing his cousin. The problem Daru has with this order is that he believes that it is dishonorable to kill murderers,
even though the Arab s crime revolted him. Eventually Daru decides to not make any decision and gives the decision of the Arab s life over to the Arab, who
decides to go towards Tinguit and the police. Set in the middle of World War II, Camus story centers around morality ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Balducci, who at this point still cares somewhat for Daru, tells Daru that he ll not denounce Daru, or tell the French that Daru has decided to disobey orders to
transport the prisoner away from a zone of forthcoming revolt. Daru however tells Balducci that he is not going to lie about him disobeying orders which
frustrates the gendarme who cares about Daru and is trying to keep Daru out of trouble. Another instance of foreshadowing happens right as the story is
coming to a close. The prisoner has decided to turn himself in, for unknown reasons, and Daru is left staring out the window. Due to the outsider view of the
events in the story, we see that the people the Arab was being transported away from tracked him to Daru s schoolhouse and now blame Daru for the Arab s
decision to turn himself in to the French authorities. They leave a note for Daru, vaguely describing how Daru is now in trouble from the Algerian Resistance
for handing over their brother to the French authorities. This after the fact foreshadowing helps show how Daru s decision between handing over the prisoner
or releasing him was more of a decision of how his demise would happen and less about whether to choose between what s right and what s

Analysis Of Yahweh Summons Moses
In the two versions of the story Yahweh summons Moses , the bulk of the story remains constant. In both iterations, Moses is called by Yahweh to speak to
Pharaoh on behalf of the enslaved Israelites. However, there are many key differences in tone and character development that distinguish the two stories. In the
JE version, the text starts with an angel of the Lord appearing to Moses from within a burning bush. This imagery is noticeable absent from the P version of the
text. This reflects the priestly interests in the P iteration because in P stories, only priests are able to act as intermediates between man and the divine. Thus, the
fantastical image of the burning bush in JE is eschewed. Instead, the P version shows the Lod communicating directly with Moses. The next major difference
between the sources is in the substance of the Lord s initial message to Moses. In the JE source, the focus is on rescuing the Israelites from Egypt to bring them
to a land flowing with milk and honey (Exodus 3:8). In contrast, the P source depicts the Lord rescuing his people and [redeeming them] with an outstretched
arm and with tremendous judgements (Exodus 6:6). In the JE source, the Lord is depicted as a more merciful and human Lord who delivers the people into a
great land. In the P source, the Lord is characterized as detached. The narrative greatly emphasizes the Lord s divine power. Additionally, the P source repeats
the phrase I am YHWH which further stresses the cosmic

residents of Salem habitually cry witch , driven by dismay, suspicion, and retribution. Under a strict theocracy, where the court s ruling and religious beliefs are
exclusively bound to one another, death is practically inevitable for those branded as witches, their names perpetually tarnished. From atop his high horse, one

Fear that witches were truly among the community of Salem, performing dark magic and wreaking havoc, propelled witch hunters to raid the town. Paranoia.
The declaration of Salem s most admired individuals to have been involved in witchcraft gave residents the excuse to suspect any soul of wrongdoing.
Vengeance. Jealousy and dislike spurred citizens to accuse their foes, utilizing witchcraft to justify their personal vendetta. When Salem s women were
stigmatized as witches, two groups were born. Those who believed in the children s witchcraft allegations, acting primarily on emotion, and those who
declared the children of pretense, acting predominantly on logic. However, the group motivated by fear, paranoia, and vengeance greatly outnumbered those
driven by logic in both strength and size. Thus this group, experiencing a psychological phenomenon called groupthink, can be held accountable for the
execrable Salem witch trials.
Irving Janis, a social psychologist, studied how social behavior is influenced in group settings. In 1972, he coined the name groupthink to describe observed
behavioral changes in individuals belonging to groups. Groupthink is characterized by a group s pursuit for unity, often resulting in individual members
disregarding or altering their own beliefs to coincide with the majority, or group s, beliefs. This disregard or altercation ensures that the group stays unified;
however, results in the group committing illogical actions without considering

The Existence Of Human Knowledge
Humans go through many events and friends, relatives, and acquaintances tell each other information about a dear loved one or a dear friend. It is up to each
individual to know if the information that have been told is either true or a rumor. Humans tend to mix up the truth with small lies, in order for the information

limitations of human knowledge because humans have no certain way to know if a human is lying, telling the truth, or knowing what we know. There are body

Having a high reputation does not mean someone is inferior in knowledge than others. In previous times, a group of people was made to believe that people
with high rankings were intelligent. If you were not intelligent how would you be able to run a government or make wonderful poems? In The Apology of
Socrates Socrates was in search of finding wise people like artisans and politicians to ask about their opinion about the Delphic Oracle. Socrates discovers
politicians believe they are wise, but in reality, they know nothing. Poets and the craftsmen had wonderful creations, but could not explain their work with
knowledge. Socrates concluded it was not intelligence these men had achieved their works, but they had inspiration (Plato, Five Dialogues 26 27). It is evident,
Socrates proved himself wrong in believing high ranked people are the wisest. The people with high reputation became who they are with pure luck and
inspiration, which means it does not require knowledge to run a government or create a masterpiece of art. Providing various information does not signify that

Comparing Democracy In Norway And The United States
Of that less than 5% remaining full democracies, Norway has been ranked the best democracy in the world. On the other hand, the relegation of the United
States from a full democracy to a flawed democracy can be traced back to American voters losing trust in political institutions and the increasing role of
lobbying. With their automatic voter registration, collaborating political parties, and healthy relationship between lawmakers and citizens, Norway s
democratic success is no surprise in comparison to the United States of America.
The political structure of both nations also contributes to their major differences. Norway is a constitutional monarchy with the king as the head of state and a
parliamentary democracy system composed of three branches: the executive, legislative, and judicial. The constitution grants executive powers to the king, but
the cabinet, appointed by the prime minister, exercises these rights. The monarch appoints a prime minister to acts as the political leader and head of

The Pivotal Political Decisions On The Young American...
The pivotal political decisions in the young American republic of the late 18th century were made by a select few leaders. These forerunners knew each other
at a personal level, and their gregariousness had a remarkable impact on the choices they made in the future. In the words of an accomplished historian and a
biographer, Joseph Ellis, these crucial decisions with an astounding aftermath came about in a sudden spasm of enforced inspiration and makeshift
construction (3). In addition, in his new non fiction erudite study, Founding Brothers: The Revolutionary Generation, published in the year 2000, Ellis strives
to illustrate how these decisions came about in a sudden spasm of enforced inspiration and makeshift construction during the final decades of the eighteenth
century. (3). Thus, in order to distinguish between categorical truth and romantic fiction, Ellis focuses primarily on the forerunners themselves, wishing to
examine how their relationships resonated through political changes.
As an ardent historian, Joseph Ellis has written numerous books on the topic of American history. Some of his most famous include: Passionate Sage: The
Character and Legacy of John Adams and American Sphinx: The Character of Thomas Jefferson, which won the 1997 National Book Award. After graduating
from Yale University and the College of William and Mary, Ellis currently lives in Amherst, Massachusetts, with his wife, Ellen, and three sons.

My Favorite Time Of The Year
My favorite time of the year was winding down to a close, it was the last meet of my Junior track season. We loaded up the bus on a Thursday, the last day of
school and headed toward Bismarck. I had never attended the State track meet and I was more nervous than I ve ever been before. I was ranked 2nd in North
Dakota for javelin. Being ranked that high is good in the fact that you know you belong at the meet, but at the same time it is terrifying knowing that you are
either a champion, a runner up, or a disappointment. I am very passionate about javelin and worked very hard to get where I was. I put in way too much time to
not perform my best at state and I only had 1 chance to make it happen. My goal was to be a state champion, but I had a very formidable opponent standing in
my way. His name is Kyle Odegaard from Lisbon. The year prior he tossed the javelin out to 200 feet 3 inches to move up to 5th all time in North Dakota
history and was ranked 10th in the nation. I had never beaten Kyle and this was my chance to shock the world and dethrone the javelin king.
I thought about so many things during that bus ride like how all my teammates would be there watching and what they would say if I choked. Also, that my
extended family was coming from over 2 hours away to watch me, I felt an unbearable amount of stress and pressure to perform and it was taking a toll on my

How Music And Humor Defines My Life
For centuries, people commissioned portraits of themselves as a way to for their posterity to remember them. Typically, these portraits are usually of
dispassionate royalty displaying their wealth. However, sometimes these portraits carry something sentimental to the person being painted to show what they
might have enjoyed during their time on Earth. Seeing paintings such as these made me ponder, what would I have in my portrait for my kin to remember me
as? As of now, people tend to remember for my humor and my taste in music. The question made me further realize that there may be a time, years after I m
gone when I ll be forgotten and the only part of me that may be still relevant is this portrait. This epiphany plagues the mind of an adult at least once in their
life, so, obviously, one would love for there to be something they will be remembered by. In this paper, I will explain how music and humor defines my life
and how they will be a focus in this portrait to give the viewer a decent understanding of who I am. A large part of my interest in music stemmed from my
father, an accomplished pianist, and my brother, an accomplished drummer, who both had the opportunity to be lead musicians at many churches. Their tastes
in music are a big reason why I like such genre s as Hip Hop, R B/Soul, and Jazz. Seeing how my family would analyze the intricate parts that go into making
music made me want to understand lyrics, production, and rhyme schemes on a deeper level. An

University of the People
Assignment 6
Abstract
Thomas Malone of MIT Solan School discussed impersonal skills importance and his research, measuring intelligence groups. He felt that interpersonal skill
are more important than before because it has become more important to think of businesses, and organizations not just in terms of how efficient or how
productive they are but also in terms of their intelligence. Findings to his research lead to the discovery that for a group to be collectively intelligent it must
have a lot of people who are socially perceptive. So even though his test was done based on reading emotions and eyes it must be completed with a much
broader range of interpersonal skills, what you might call intelligence. (H. (n.d.). Why Interpersonal Skills Are More Important Than You Think). The
following skills which we use in our personal and business communications are valuable to interpersonal skills.
Listening is the ability to accurately receive and interpret messages during the communication process. For there to be effective communication, listening must
play the essential part. The inability to listen effectively can contribute to easily misunderstanding messaged.
Example: A boss who listens to his employees overheard his assistant complaint of feeling unwell on a specific day when she was supposed to attend a meeting

My Favorite Villain In The Legend Of Zelda
Who is your favorite villain? Maybe it s the evil Darth Vader, killing his own people in his conquest, or Sauron, who is rarely seen but sends his armies off to
stop Frodo. All villains have something in common, they are a character in a story or play who opposes the hero (Merriam Webster). This is especially true in
video games, where most of the story is driven by the villain. The Legend of Zelda, a popular game franchise, has had many villains in its time. Lord Vaati is
the most well written and well developed villain in the Zelda series. He appears in the series multiple times and never fails to get the player interested. Lord
Vaati is one of two recurring villains in the Legend of Zelda series. He is first seen in Four Swords, but we are given more backstory about him in Minish Cap.
In Minish Cap, Vaati is trying to become the most powerful magician, and tries to take over Hyrule in his quest for more power. He searches for an ancient
artifact known as the Light Force, which would give him ultimate power. In the end he is defeated by the hero, Link, and is sealed away in a sword to return in
later games, (Miyamoto). Every great villain needs a goal, a motive, to drive him/her to commit their evil deeds. As stated in the article What Makes a Good
Villain , Villains, too, should also have understandable goals. Furthermore, these goals should be rooted in that villain s psychology. (The Nook Press Blog).
Vaati is no different, he wants to take over Hyrule and find

Cruelty and Insanity in Wide Sargasso Sea by Jean Rhys Essay
Cruelty and Insanity in Wide Sargasso Sea by Jean Rhys Wide Sargasso Sea provides unique insight into the gradual deterioration of the human mind and
spirit. On examining Antoinette and her mother Annette, the reader gains a new perspective of insanity. One realizes that these two women are mentally
perturbed as a result of numerous external factors that are beyond their control. The cruelty of life and people drive Annette and her daughter to lunacy. Neither
mother nor daughter have a genetic predisposition to madness, and their downfall is an inevitable result of the actions of those around them and the unbearable
nature of their living situation. Antoinette s condition owes its beginnings to the solitude of her childhood, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hence it must be said that the cruelty of their living situation, and not a genetic trait, is responsible for their dementia. Antoinette suffers another form of
solitude because she grows up as an orphan. Her father died when she was very young, and her mother neglects her, preferring instead to only show concern
for Antoinette?s younger brother, Pierre. Antoinette recalls trying to show her some affection, but also states, ?she pushed me away, not roughly, but calmly,
coldly, without a word, as if she had decided once and for all that I was useless to her.? Thus the reader recognizes that from a young age, Antoinette yearns for
love and must live with the pain of being rejected by her own mother. This solitude can again be shown as one of many reasons why Antoinette is mentally
unstable. Financial decline also serves to drive Annette into madness. Annette started out as an affluent socialite and is now a destitute widow. She is unable to
adapt to this new, unfamiliar position in society and longs for her privileged lifestyle. This becomes evident when Antoinette recalls how her mother ?still
planned and hoped perhaps she had to hope every time she passed a looking glass.? Annette tries to recapture her former _prestige by riding her horse every
morning, even after ?her riding clothes grew shabby?. Her horse and her riding clothes are status symbols that represented the wealth her family once had.
Annette desperately holds onto these symbols in

At this point in my life I find myself in an interesting predicament regarding my attitudes toward reading and writing; more so towards reading. Years ago I
used to love reading books for pleasure but nowadays I find myself reading things that little to no effort to digest. This includes the very basic posts on
facebook expressing one s opinion on something or articles and threads on reddit discussing topics I find intriguing. Perhaps it s the severe senioritis that has
overcome me as I enter my last semester at Chapman University. As I ve gotten lazier I can see it start to reflect in my everyday life. Deep down I still love to
read but I rarely find myself getting truly invested into the action unless it relates to something I am very ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
You can feed the mind as much as you want and it will never get full of reading. Sadly, I m not the same person that I was. I guess you could say it s part of
growing up. It never really was intentional but it s just the way how it ended up. On the other hand my attitudes toward writing are very different. First let me
say that deep down I truly do not like to write. I myself don t personally like to write for leisure or pleasure but rather I write because I believe it is one of the
most important aspects of being able to communicate with those around you, both personally and professionally. To put differently, my attitude towards writing
is that I write because I need to write and survive in the world around me. I write because I have to, not because I want to. Hopefully this somewhat makes
sense. To better explain let me make a comparison. When I am assigned a writing assignment or I am writing because the action is being forced upon me I find
myself not enjoying the process and overall the end result is subpar. The perfect example of this would be my junior year in high school when I was enrolled in
AP english literature. I dreaded the majority of the class simply because there was so much writing involved in the entire course and therefore I was constantly
writing just to get a grade. Being forced to write in such high volume every week for an entire school year was not enjoyable for myself and as a result the

created by the Rational Software Corporation and now is part of IBM developer software. This paper describes how to deploy software effectively. The

The nature of the iterations will not necessarily change much; but the longevity of the software produced will certainly increase. Early iterations (usually in the
inception phase) have a tendency to be thrown out. During elaboration, you will discover the rest of the use cases (or at least their first approximations) and
will implement the minimal set. During construction, users will drive towards giving the customer the minimum system that they need. The nature of the
iterations will not change much, but your focus will be on identifying the smallest possible deliverable that will still meet at least some of the customers needs.
During construction, the use cases will change a bit as the customer sees the growing system and feeds changes back to you. During transition, users will drive
towards fleshing out the functionality of the system, and incorporating the mounds of customer feedback that users are surely to get. The nature of your
iterations will not change much. During transition, the use cases are likely to undergo drastic changes as the customers actually use the system and realize that
it is not exactly what they needed. Again, the essence of RUP is iteration, and the essence of iteration is the production of executable deliverables. Users may
also be producing UML diagrams, or some other form of model too. Such models take two forms. One is a model of the architecture, which is seeded during
inception and established during

  • 2. Heroin Heroin is known as morphine diacetate or diamorphine when it is used in medical environment, it is also referred to as black tar among other names in colloquial language. Alder Wright was the first person to synthesize heroin in 1874 when he added two groups of acetyl to morphine molecules (Rubin, 2013). Heroine is an active drug which can also be used in medicine to treat severe pain that results from heart attack or injuries; it is absorbed in the body as morphine. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The National Survey on Drug Use and Health reported that most drug users share needles that they use to inject themselves with while using heroin. Sharing of needles by heroin users is due to the fact that doctors and many pharmacy boards are not allowed to sell needles and syringes to unauthorized personnel, so the only avenue left for drug users is to share the available needles they have. This has contributed to spread of HIV aids among the heroin victims therefore exposing them to more health dangers. Infact, 30% of global HIV infections in Sub Saharan Africa are caused by sharing needles during drug injections, furthermore, heroin injection rose from 2% in 1993 to 15% in 2000. Heroin users and other drug addicts have been reported to be more exposed to unsafe sex a fact that have exposed them even more to these diseases. This analysis shows that heroin and drug use are among the factors that are causing HIV aids to increase in the world (Levert, 2005). Heroin not only affects people using the drug but, the problems also affect other people close to them too, it has an immense trickle down effect on society. The cost to the society is immense as indicated by the financial implications and the excessive use of healthcare resources to rehabilitate heroin addicts (White, 2009). • 3. Children s Awareness Of Racial Attitudes And Preferences Race Status In 2012, Margaret Beale Spencer, child psychologist and a leading researcher the field of child development, was brought on by CNN to design a pilot study that examines children and race. The study aimed to reveal children s awareness of racial attitudes and preferences. The results were shown during Kids on Race: The Hidden Picture , on AC360Ā°. After watching this study play out, it was obvious that children seem to be given messages about what is viewed as the good/positive race, and which is viewed as the bad/negative, race. Although it might be expected that each child would choose their respective race as the one they gravitate to for the positive questions, and a different race for the negative questions, what was unfortunate was that both White and Black children showed a bias towards Whites. Since children are so strongly influenced by their environments, and the people around them, we can assume that they are being exposed to implicit racism, and subconscious bias attitudes. As stated by Dr. Spencer, We are still living in a society where dark things are devalued, and white things are valued. Antonia Darder worked for many years to understand how members of bicultural groups learn to function in both their primary culture, and that of the dominant, mainstream culture in the society in which they live. • 4. Essay on Juvenile Deliquency Edwin H. Sutherland s formulation of differential association theory proposed that delinquency, like any other form of behavior, is a product of social interaction. On October 14th, 2002, 17 year old Lee Boyd Malvo was charged by the state of Virginia for two capital crimes: the murder of FBI analyst Linda Franklin in the commission of an act of terrorism and the murder of more than one person in a three year period. Sutherland s nine propositions of differential association best explains Malvo s act for the following reasons: (1) Malvo learned how to commit each heinous crime through his social interaction within his intimate group, (2) Malvo learned the techniques to commit each crime through his mentor, i.e. learning the skills ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Edwin H. Sutherland s propositions of differential association argues criminal behavior, like any other behavior, is learned from others. That is, delinquent behavior is not an inherited trait but rather an acquired one (Juvenile Delinquency, p.153). Sutherland claims that criminal behavior/ juvenile delinquency is learned through a youth s relationship within intimate personal groups. These intimate groups are far more influential for adolescents than any other form of communication such as the media. In the case of Lee Boyd Malvo, he had a personal relationship with Muhammad, Malvo s mother ex boyfriend. After Malvo s biological father left his mother, she often left Malvo unattended and in the care of friends. Malvo s mother eventually abandoned him again which he then went to live with Muhammad, a gulf war veteran, who had became his father figure, friend and mentor. Malvo s longing for a father was replaced by Muhammad and the duration of his time outside of school was with Muhammad. Malvo had only been living in the United States for a year after migrating from Jamaica, before he moved in with Muhammad. One can assume that Malvo became attached to Muhammad because he lacked a father figure as well as companionship in a new country where he felt alienated from family and friends in Jamaica. Muhammad later converted Malvo to Islam. If the principal learning of criminal behavior occurs within intimate personal groups, differential association ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. The Spell of Sensibility The Spell of Sensibility Although the Romantic Era s general perspective regarding a woman s sensibility may seem distasteful to most contemporary readers, the viewpoint was commonplace during the period. To be clear, this was mainly the assumption that women were dominated by their specially configured and delicate senses, rather than reason and intellect. Authors like Edmund Burke passively promoted these fragilities in his verbosely titled piece A Philosophical Enquiry into the Origin of Our Ideas of the Sublime and Beautiful. While this point of view retained popularity, there were thankfully those who sought to tear it to shreds. The author Mary Wollstonecraft, widely lauded as the first Feminist , actively addressed sensibility and more in her political and polemic treatise Vindication of the Rights of Woman . She cites deprivation of quality education for women, as well as their condescending treatment in society as reasons for this sort of behavior. But to better understand why women were seen this way in the first place, it will help to briefly to define what Romanticism really is, in a cultural and literary context. And while it is no longer as potent as it once was, the spell which tricks society into believing women are a secondary and frail sex, is one that still has power today, and it is a spell which should be permanently broken. Regarding women and their so called sensibility, Edmund Burke writes: Among animals, the greyhound [dog] is more ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

If the man uses wisdom in making the decision to marry a capable wife, he will be rewarded for acting wisely. If you are lazy, you will never get what you are after, but if you work hard, you will get a fortune (12:27). This passage shows that the repercussions to your decisions can be very bountiful. If you make the right decision to work hard and not be lazy, you will come into wealth and get what you are after in life. Retribution is not an entirely satisfactory term, however, for the English word connotes punishment rather than reward, and immediate rather than gradual consequences . An example of the narrator s submission to her husband s commands would be as followed: There come John, and I must put this away her hates to have me write a word, (Gilman 627). By neglecting her own self wants the narrator gives into the will of her husband. This action of compliance shows the power that men can have and how they sometimes exercise that power to make women feel inferior. The irony is that the ill person needs to be taken care of and resides in the nursery; thus, the husband is treating the narrator like a child. This highlights the evidence that no matter where you live, you are ingesting glyphosate. At the same time, this quote is informing people that there are no regulations on glyphosate remnants in food. Also, in Montana a wildlife rehabilitator, Judy Hoy, found that glyphosate precipitated mineral deficiencies and thyroid hormone disruption in whitetail deer, leading to the population decline over the past several years (Whittington). With this evident one can see that production agriculture is harming our native wildlife. Meanwhile, Argentina agriculturists are experiencing the obstacle of glyphosate tolerant weeds, known as superweeds, as well as volunteer genetically engineered crops that pop up and are resistant to glyphosate. These issues have caused farmers to apply twice as much herbicide on the crops to remove the contagions (Gordon 154). This crisis shows that glyphosate is not always a surefire way to remove weeds and farmers have to use more chemical to get the desired effect. According to the evolutionary history, originally primates evolved from their ancestors who lived on trees. Today there are approximately 235 species of primates, and they all range in their habitats and sizes. Thus, the biggest primate is lowland gorilla, whose weight is around 180 kilos, while the smallest one is mouse lemur living on Madagascar. Its weight is only 30 grams. The first arboreal theory was considered to be the dominant until it was question and other two theories appeared. According to the arboreal theory, primate evolved in order to meet the needs of arboreal life, which means a development of necessary senses or adapting already existing senses to new life style. For example, since primates lived in the three dimensional world, they needed a good stereoscopic vision that would allow them easily move through the environment. Therefore, the orbits of the first primates had been changed in order to achieve stereoscopic vision. Since the vision has become a primary sense, the sense of smell has reduced and, as a result, the snout was shortened. Its adaptation of the primates to the environment allowed them to survive. The second theory known as the visual predation theory contradict the first theory and claims that all the features of primates mentioned above, including grasping feet and hands, orbital convergence and the reduced claws, were developed as a result of pressure to forage for insects and fruits in the forest during the night time. For example, a good orbital vision allows primates to gauge the prey s distance without additional moving of the head. The third theory is the most recent among all three theories. • 25. Albert Camus The Guest The Guest, by Albert Camus, is about an alleged murderer who is handed over to a solitary schoolmaster who lives in his schoolhouse on top of a plateau in the Atlas Mountains. Daru, the schoolmaster, is ordered by an old acquaintance to deliver a supposed murderer, the Arab, to the police in a nearby town where he will most likely be sentenced to death for killing his cousin. The problem Daru has with this order is that he believes that it is dishonorable to kill murderers, even though the Arab s crime revolted him. Another instance of foreshadowing happens right as the story is coming to a close. The prisoner has decided to turn himself in, for unknown reasons, and Daru is left staring out the window. Due to the outsider view of the events in the story, we see that the people the Arab was being transported away from tracked him to Daru s schoolhouse and now blame Daru for the Arab s decision to turn himself in to the French authorities. They leave a note for Daru, vaguely describing how Daru is now in trouble from the Algerian Resistance for handing over their brother to the French authorities. • 26. Analysis Of Yahweh Summons Moses In the two versions of the story Yahweh summons Moses , the bulk of the story remains constant. In both iterations, Moses is called by Yahweh to speak to Pharaoh on behalf of the enslaved Israelites. However, there are many key differences in tone and character development that distinguish the two stories. In the JE version, the text starts with an angel of the Lord appearing to Moses from within a burning bush. This imagery is noticeable absent from the P version of the text. This reflects the priestly interests in the P iteration because in P stories, only priests are able to act as intermediates between man and the divine. Thus, the fantastical image of the burning bush in JE is eschewed. Instead, the P version shows the Lod communicating directly with Moses. The next major difference between the sources is in the substance of the Lord s initial message to Moses. In the JE source, the focus is on rescuing the Israelites from Egypt to bring them to a land flowing with milk and honey (Exodus 3:8). In contrast, the P source depicts the Lord rescuing his people and [redeeming them] with an outstretched arm and with tremendous judgements (Exodus 6:6). In the JE source, the Lord is depicted as a more merciful and human Lord who delivers the people into a great land. In the P source, the Lord is characterized as detached. The narrative greatly emphasizes the Lord s divine power. Additionally, the P source repeats the phrase I am YHWH which further stresses the cosmic ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Lord Vaati is one of two recurring villains in the Legend of Zelda series. He is first seen in Four Swords, but we are given more backstory about him in Minish Cap. In Minish Cap, Vaati is trying to become the most powerful magician, and tries to take over Hyrule in his quest for more power. He searches for an ancient artifact known as the Light Force, which would give him ultimate power. In the end he is defeated by the hero, Link, and is sealed away in a sword to return in later games, (Miyamoto). Every great villain needs a goal, a motive, to drive him/her to commit their evil deeds. As stated in the article What Makes a Good Villain , Villains, too, should also have understandable goals. Furthermore, these goals should be rooted in that villain s psychology. (The Nook Press Blog). Vaati is no different, he wants to take over Hyrule and find ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 42. Cruelty and Insanity in Wide Sargasso Sea by Jean Rhys Essay Cruelty and Insanity in Wide Sargasso Sea by Jean Rhys Wide Sargasso Sea provides unique insight into the gradual deterioration of the human mind and spirit. On examining Antoinette and her mother Annette, the reader gains a new perspective of insanity. One realizes that these two women are mentally perturbed as a result of numerous external factors that are beyond their control. The cruelty of life and people drive Annette and her daughter to lunacy. Neither mother nor daughter have a genetic predisposition to madness, and their downfall is an inevitable result of the actions of those around them and the unbearable nature of their living situation. Antoinette s condition owes its beginnings to the solitude of her childhood, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Hence it must be said that the cruelty of their living situation, and not a genetic trait, is responsible for their dementia. Antoinette suffers another form of solitude because she grows up as an orphan. Her father died when she was very young, and her mother neglects her, preferring instead to only show concern for Antoinette?s younger brother, Pierre. Antoinette recalls trying to show her some affection, but also states, ?she pushed me away, not roughly, but calmly, coldly, without a word, as if she had decided once and for all that I was useless to her.? Thus the reader recognizes that from a young age, Antoinette yearns for love and must live with the pain of being rejected by her own mother. This solitude can again be shown as one of many reasons why Antoinette is mentally unstable. Financial decline also serves to drive Annette into madness. Annette started out as an affluent socialite and is now a destitute widow. She is unable to adapt to this new, unfamiliar position in society and longs for her privileged lifestyle. This becomes evident when Antoinette recalls how her mother ?still planned and hoped perhaps she had to hope every time she passed a looking glass.? Annette tries to recapture her former _prestige by riding her horse every morning, even after ?her riding clothes grew shabby?. Her horse and her riding clothes are status symbols that represented the wealth her family once had. Annette desperately holds onto these symbols in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 43. Literacy Narrative Essay example At this point in my life I find myself in an interesting predicament regarding my attitudes toward reading and writing; more so towards reading. Years ago I used to love reading books for pleasure but nowadays I find myself reading things that little to no effort to digest. This includes the very basic posts on facebook expressing one s opinion on something or articles and threads on reddit discussing topics I find intriguing. Perhaps it s the severe senioritis that has overcome me as I enter my last semester at Chapman University. As I ve gotten lazier I can see it start to reflect in my everyday life. Deep down I still love to read but I rarely find myself getting truly invested into the action unless it relates to something I am very ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... You can feed the mind as much as you want and it will never get full of reading. Sadly, I m not the same person that I was. I guess you could say it s part of growing up. It never really was intentional but it s just the way how it ended up. On the other hand my attitudes toward writing are very different. First let me say that deep down I truly do not like to write. I myself don t personally like to write for leisure or pleasure but rather I write because I believe it is one of the most important aspects of being able to communicate with those around you, both personally and professionally. To put differently, my attitude towards writing is that I write because I need to write and survive in the world around me. I write because I have to, not because I want to. Hopefully this somewhat makes sense. To better explain let me make a comparison. When I am assigned a writing assignment or I am writing because the action is being forced upon me I find myself not enjoying the process and overall the end result is subpar. The perfect example of this would be my junior year in high school when I was enrolled in AP english literature. I dreaded the majority of the class simply because there was so much writing involved in the entire course and therefore I was constantly writing just to get a grade. Being forced to write in such high volume every week for an entire school year was not enjoyable for myself and as a result the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 44. Rational Unified Process Introduction This paper has the intention to explain what Rational Unified Process (RUP) is like an IBM product and a CASE tool. After is explained what phases it has, what are the most common extensions thus what are its workflows more used. The Rational Unified Process (RUP) is a software design method created by the Rational Software Corporation and now is part of IBM developer software. This paper describes how to deploy software effectively. The Rational Unified Process (RUP) use commercially proven techniques, and is a heavy weight process, and hence particularly applicable to larger software development teams working on large projects. Rational Unified Process (RUP) Rational Unified Process (RUP) is an object oriented and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The nature of the iterations will not necessarily change much; but the longevity of the software produced will certainly increase. Early iterations (usually in the inception phase) have a tendency to be thrown out. During elaboration, you will discover the rest of the use cases (or at least their first approximations) and will implement the minimal set. During construction, users will drive towards giving the customer the minimum system that they need. The nature of the iterations will not change much, but your focus will be on identifying the smallest possible deliverable that will still meet at least some of the customers needs. During construction, the use cases will change a bit as the customer sees the growing system and feeds changes back to you. During transition, users will drive towards fleshing out the functionality of the system, and incorporating the mounds of customer feedback that users are surely to get. The nature of your iterations will not change much. During transition, the use cases are likely to undergo drastic changes as the customers actually use the system and realize that it is not exactly what they needed. Again, the essence of RUP is iteration, and the essence of iteration is the production of executable deliverables. Users may also be producing UML diagrams, or some other form of model too. Such models take two forms. One is a model of the architecture, which is seeded during inception and established during ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
