influenced by several socialist thinkers during this time including Karl Marx. Marx passed away in

H.M. Hyndman and Henry George were two important figures who wrote pivotal pieces of
literature. Henry George published Progress and Povertyin 1879 and greatly influenced many of the
socialists who came into the Fabian Society (Fremantle, 1961, p.20). Two years later, H.M.
Hyndman wrote England for All and later that year went on to found the Democratic Federation
(later called the Social Democratic Federation) (Fremantle, 1961, p. 22). Both George and

Feminist theory is a supporter of equality for man and women. For such long time, mostly the old
days, there were so many limitations to what a lady should be or permitted to do, throughout the
years with the assistance of education and acknowledgment that all sexual orientations are and
should be equal, this has become less and less over time but it still exist at this very moment. In the
movie The Accused , Sarah Tobias (Jodie Foster) is ruthlessly assaulted by three men in a bar while
individuals watch and cheer. A district Attorney Kathryn Murphy (Kelly McGillis
) takes the case,
however, allows the rapists to receive a mild sentence. A distraught Sarah decides to seek
punishment for the men who witnessed and encouraged the assault. To get justice, Sarah must take
the stand and revisit the night of her attack in this drama based on true events. In this essay, I will
dive into the film The Accused then explain what the feminist theory really means and its
background and lastly, apply the theory to the film to better understand how it works in reality.

After having a bad fight with her boyfriend, Sarah Tobias goes to a bar to sit down to chat with
her great friend. They sit and discuss anything to get her mind off of her boyfriend issue which
prompts her flirting with one of the guys at the bar. She had an impression that he was funny and
cool, so appreciated his company. She starts drinking and smoking with the guy, which was a bad

We are regulating our ways of plain speaking, freedom of choice, and freedom of speech. Laws
of restrictions on slander and public decency should be decided on the common law
methodology and not by the interests of the liberal mob . If plain speaking is not allowed, clear
thinking is denied. Political correctness has been brought about to protect groups in society from
possibly offensive terminology aimed toward them. For example, the previous use of nigger has
been replaced by a more positive description, African American. The word cripple has been

For the Perfect Square exercise, our class was divided up into three different groups. We were
instructed to place a blindfold over our eyes where we were completely unable to see. Then the
observers lined our group up into a straight line, who then brought us one long rope that all of us
would hold. We were instructed to form a perfect square with the rope but without the use of
sight. I remember feeling a bit dumbfounded initially, not having a clue how we would complete
this task. Then amongst our group we started off the activity by numbering ourselves off down
the line. This allowed us to form an idea who would have to be the corners and ends of the
square. Our group as a whole communicated good early, but started to mainly followed the orders
of one individual, Daniel Rice. He started taking the reins on the leadershiprole. By instructing
things like who should take so many steps where and keeping a constant idea where everyone
was, Daniel was able to effectively lead us. This gave me a better feeling of completing the goal
than at the beginning of the exercise. Through the use of communication, a number system, and
Daniel s leadership style, we were able to feel more comfortable about performing our task.

Critique
Lynn Nottage s Intimate Apparel follows the life of Esther Mills, an African American
seamstress in the year 1905. Esther s diligence in her personal business of creating women s
underwear connects her with the rest of the cast to create a riveting story full of plot twists.
Multiple aspects of the play come together to portray how Ester overcomes social roles on her
course to find true love. Given the time of the play and gender of the main character, the
reoccurring themes in this play revolve around Esther. Being an African American female in the
early 1900 s, times were hard. She had become a very successful seamstress and was able to
provide for herself. After many years of hard work, Esther had saved a small fortune in her quilt
to build toward her dreams of creating her own beauty salon where African Americans will
receive the same level of care as whites. This, along with her other dream of falling in love and
getting married, is all she has worked for. Once George, a laborer from overseas who
unexpectedly began writing love letters to Ester, had moved in and was looking for work,
Esther felt the need to accept the gender roles of time and give up her life savings in order to
help George make something of himself. George tore open her quilt without a care for her
feelings and was only focused on himself. He then goes to gamble it all away with Mayme, a
prostitute who happens to be one of Ester s customers.

My Personal Study Habits
Introduction This paper will be an examination of my personal study habits as a college freshman,
and an effort to discover techniques to improve my ability to learn and remember the information I
need to successfully graduate from college.
I have learned most of my study habits by watching my very successful daughter, a high school
junior with a rigorous course load making high honors, and attempting to mimic her. She has a very
strong work ethic; generally, once she arrives home she takes a short break to change clothes and
pet a cat, and then dives in to her homework. She knows when to give herself a breather to check
her social media accounts, and she is very clear that since she always studies hard and does her
best, she never fails, even if she gets a D or F on a test or quiz. I quite admire that. And her. We
have homework time together most nights.
Current Status I am in my second semester of college now, and thus far I have been able to
attend to my homework and studying to the degree that I have received near perfect marks on

We had some error in our experiment, with human error launching the cart and we did not record
the carts bouncing back from the wall. Our data is consistent and we can observe the difference
between each table. We were able to see the cart s total momentum equal around the same after
the collision, unless it was an inelastic collision or if we added the 500g the velocity would be
halved.The max force that occurs during a collision is a function of the change in velocity over a
