Montana Fish Synthesis Essay
Alexis Bonogofsky wrote about reports of dead fish floating and collecting on the
banks of the iconic Yellowstone River began coming into Montana Fish, Wildlife and
Parks (FWP) in early August. The Yellowstone flows for 692 miles from Absaroka
mountain range in Wyoming, through Yellowstone National Park, into the prairies of
eastern Montanaand finally, the Missouri River.
FWP officials took tissue samples from the dead fish to the US Fish and Wildlife
Service Fish Health Center in nearby Bozeman, Montana. The whitefish were found
to have died from Proliferative Kidney Disease (PKD), which is caused by a
microscopic parasite known to occur in Canada, the United States and Europe. PKD
kills fish by causing extreme inflammation in their kidneys and spleen. In the past 20
years, smaller and isolated outbreaks of the disease have occurred in two locations in

In other words, it takes less energy to raise the temperature of the salt water 1В°C

AltonGas claims they monitor the river for dry weather conditions in Nova Scotia. In
an article on their site they claim:
During the dry weather conditions in Nova Scotia in the summer of 2016, salinity
levels in the river naturally exceeded 28 parts per thousand (ppt). When natural river
salinity is greater than 28 ppt, brining operations at Alton are automatically stopped to
protect the river. At this time, water will continue to be circulated in the cavern and
brining activity will be temporarily suspended.
To check salinity levels in the river, there are salinity monitors upstream and
downstream of the brine release point to constantly measure the river in real time. The
monitors also control the brine release

Viet Nam, a country with more than 80 million people, is a developing country which

standard for illiteracy eradication and primary education universalisation. Some
advantaged cities and provinces have been progressing to the universalisation lower
secondary education. The average number of years attending school for population is
7.3. Primary school enrolment is almost universal, net enrolment in primary
education has increased from 87% in 1998 to 92% in 2000. Similarly, net enrolment
in lower secondary education has increased from 30% in 1993 to 74% in 2000.

Feminism One Of The Biggest Topics Today And Is Defined
Feminism one of the biggest topics today and is defined as the public support of the
rights of women on the basis of equality of the sexes. In fact, the main reason
feminism is such a popular topic is because of how men were treated as the dominant
gender .
Back then, women were given specific roles by society to be housewives and only
cook and take care of the children. The idea of feminism, however, did slowly
develop until in 1848 after their oppression, when the first Women s conference was
held in Seneca Falls, America. Ever since then, the amount of feminists and feminist
activities around the world have increased a great amount. Feminism has become a
major subject in the media, being represented in television, music and even ... Show

abuse, but because she does not need a man to help her get by. Although, soon after,
Serge comes back at night, more drunk and violent than before, to knock some sense
into Josephine. This situation itself seems to be a setup for another one of those
situations where the lady is in trouble, unable to defend herself and a knight in
shining armour(who is male), comes just in time to rescue her and ensure the happy
ending. However, in this situation, Josephine and Vienne manage to knock out Serge
before any real damage. This sends the message that a hero is not always needed for
the damsel in distress. In this situation, two heroines got the job done. In conclusion,
Josephine becomes more of a feminist during her growth without her husband. With
enough courage and strength to leave her husband and grow from an ill thief to

It is the most common skin infection seen in young children.
Impetigo is due to a germ known as Staphylococcus aureus in hot climates it may
be due to Streptococcus pyogenes or a mixture of the two. These germs pass from
person to person, and can spread rapidly through families and school classes through
skin to skin contact or, less often, by bedding, clothing and towels. However
impetigo can even arrive out of the blue, with no clue of where it came from.
Germs causing impetigo can invade normal skin, but can also take advantage of
skin that has already been damaged by cuts or grazes, insect bites, head lice, scabies,
cold sores, or eczema.
Impetigo can appear anywhere, but is most common on exposed areas of skin such
as the face, around the nose, mouth and on the hands. Initially it appears as groups
of thin roofed pus filled blisters which tend to break quickly to leave round oozing
patches covered with crusts. The patches are small at first but slowly get bigger.
In most cases it clears quickly, but it will not do so if it is based on an unfamiliar
underlying skin problem such as scabies or head

In tasks which we are given a scenario involving a series of casualties, it is
important that we work as a team to assess and treat the situation. This involves
efficient verbal communication to ensure we can solve the problem at hand as
quickly as possible even under significant pressure, while also providing assistance
to younger cadets, making sure they feel confident and aware of what to do in an
emergency situation. I believe interpersonal skills learned from this experience could
be applied to almost any circumstances, such as seminars and group projects which I

New And Destructive Gun
I have read the Tennessean from August 2010. I found some interesting articles
throughout it. I was limitedly interested when I read the main headline, Suffrage
Amendment Adopted by House. Then I went on to reading the article, Weekend Golf
Tourney Honors Vet Ted Rhodes. It caught my attention because my dad is a veteran.
Lastly, I found the article titled, New and Destructive Gun very interesting to read
about. These three articles all hold different historical value. ????
The first one I looked was the Suffrage Amendment Adopted by House. This appeared
in the Nashville Tennessean, August 19, 1920. This article was about giving women
the right to vote. Tennessee was the thirty sixth state to pass the amendment. This

Jerry Spinelli s Maniac Magee
Maniac Magee is the main character in the book Maniac Magee he shows a very
comparable trait of athletic. This is a very compatible trait for Maniac as he is the
fastest kid on the block. So to support this trait that Jerry Spinelli gifted Maniac is
when Maniac just met Grayson. As they are getting to know each other Grayson
decides to tell Maniac that he should be at school. Maniac rebels saying that if
Grayson were to force him he would run. This shows athleticism because he was
known for running, he was the fastest person around. Although he was known for
running it was common for him to run away from all his troubles and worries. For
example, school is one of his troubles and worries after he ran away from home. He
implied to Grayson and said something along the lines of school is like a big home
you stay there then you all flock out like hundreds of little birds then you go to your
second home. This he doesn t like of school that s why he runs emotionally, mentally,
and physically.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This shows athleticism because high schoolers are bigger stronger faster but Jerry
Spinelli decided that Maniac Magee would crush those boundaries, making him
almost like a super kid. For example, say a kid age 11 was 5 foot 4 inches facing a
soon to be a man who is 6 foot 2. That is what he was facing but once again Jerry
wanted to push those boundaries and make Maniac the best kid on the block. Even on

Reflection On Teaching And Learning
According to Dr. Patricia Alexander teaching and learning are interrelated. Teachers
and students learn at the same time. As Dr. Alexander mentions in the video that
actions and characteristics of one affect the other. For example, if a teacher in a
classroom is not preview prepare for class, students will lose interest in the class.
Students have to perceive that the teacher is mentally and intellectually well
prepare in order to show some interest in the class. One of my teacher s actions
affected me when I was in middle school. I remember that when I was in 7th grade
one of my teachers used to say to his students that they are very dumb to learn. I as
student felt like I really was dumb. Even though, I tried to learn everything he taught
us, I did not retain any information. As a result, my grades dropped a lot, so I refused
to go to that school until my mother moved me to another school. In the other hand, if
there are students that do not show any interest in learning, teachers performance is
affected. For example, there is anything a teacher can do when a student does not
really want to learn. Some teachers use a variety of strategies without any result of
learning, but is does not mean that the teacher is not well prepare; it is more about
what the student want. Dr. Alexander also mentions in the video that the factors that
determine success are the same for teachers and students. I believed that it is
connected because teachers and students are in constant

Members of the Malibu Locals Only groups could not have chosen a more
excluding moniker if they tried. The territorialism is not only palpable in the name,
but also in the group s actions. This research paper, based on Brian Ludeke s journal
article, will show that just as Ludeke states, MLO fits the characteristics of a criminal
street gang. Not only does MLO fit the definition of what a reasonable person would
believe a street gang to be, but most importantly it fits the definition of a criminal
street gang as it is defined in the California STEP act.
According Ludeke s article, MLO has been responsible for nearly killing a young
man, beating another, and threatening witnesses with death if they went to the
police. While he recognizes that MLO is not as big a threat or as notorious as
other well known gangs, it does not take away that an emerging gang is a gang
nonetheless. Ludeke s thesis can easily be identified in his article title alone. While
he first asks the question of whether MLO is a dangerous street gang, he also
answers it by emphasizing the criminal justice system s failure to identify suburban
gangs which by default hurts their efforts to fight them. Failing to identify MLO as a
gang prevents law enforcement from finding the correct theory as to why youths join
gangs. Since MLO members
Essay about King Zethius Meeting
King Zethius took a leisurely walk through his tranquil gardens at his own pace,
and it was a slow, slow pace. Even though the hot scorching midday sun was
beating down, he found it necessary to take a walk, calm his nerves, and gather his
thoughts on issues soon to come. For many months, the king and his advisers have
met in one, of many cool, damp secret chambers beneath the Citadel of Splendor to
discuss the growing problems with lawless merchants outside Kelmoor Keep. For far
too long the wily merchants from Verktus and Westgate have plundered the small
independent cities, towns, and farm villages scattered about the lush moorlands of
their goods. Some merchants would force the farmers to sell their goods at very low
prices... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Perfect, happily welcomed the good news, the sooner the better. Hugging a small
stack of palimpsest close to his chest, he headed off to the war chambers sorting
through the papers as he walked, nimble fingers folding the pages back just enough
so he could see the titles or numbers on the pages. Instead of writing down real
names, he gave everything a nickname. Therefore, if someone was able to read or
stole his papers they would be completely lost, finding the writing gibberish and
worthless. Thanks to his curse, he would remember them all with little thought.
Rounding the corner, he saw the name Ventis, and stopped at the well guarded
door that led down to the sub terrestrial chamber. He closed his eyes remembering
the names and faces he spoke to while in the small city. He remembers their eyes.
The soul bleeds through the eyes like mirrors splashed with a ceaseless lambent, a

saw in most of the people, were eyes like windows of gloom; a light so dim one
could scarcely see it, a manifestation that was lifeless and insignificant, and
meaningless, simple obtuse idlers without any will of their own. That is it, he cried,
They are using magic! The guards that were flanking the door shared glances to one
another, but said nothing. Ignoring the guards, he stepped to the landing, greeted by

The Governor of New Mexico Bill Richardson stated that 200 National Guard
troops were packed and ready to go to New Orleans, but two days passed before
state officials responded to Richardson s assistance. The Local authorities did not
have emergencies management plans or deliberate risk assessments in place. They
did not analyze or created at least three courses of action to mitigate the situation.
The lack of training, exercises and dealing with emergencies like this magnitude was
crucial for the overall failure of the relief effort. The local authorities lost all
communication with the state officials. State Response At the State level, all

Soon after Katrina made landfall, State and local authorities understood the
devastation was serious but due to the destruction of infrastructure and response
capabilities, lacked the ability to communicate with each other and coordinate a

by State and local authorities, such as the rescue of citizens stranded by the rising
floodwaters, provision of law enforcement, and evacuation of the remaining

State/local incident command structure to guide their efforts. (Townsend, 2006).
Unity of Command vs. Unified Command: Unity of Command: The concept by
which person within an organization reports to on and only one designated person.
The purpose of unity of command is to ensure unity of effort under one responsible
commander for every objective. Unified Command: An application of the Incident
Command System used when there is more than one agency with incident jurisdiction
or when incidents cross political jurisdictions. Agencies work together through the
designated members of the Unified Command, often the senior person from agencies
and/or discipline participating in the Unified Command, to establish a common set of
objectives and strategies and a single incident action

Mcdonald Vs Chicago Case Study
McDonald v. City of Chicago McDonald v. Chicago, 561 U.S. 742 (2010) is a
landmark decision of the U.S. Supreme Court involving Amendment II and
Amendment XIV in 2010. Amendment II states that individuals has the right to
keep and bear arms and Amendment XIV protects a citizens rights from being
restricted from the states through the due process of law clause. Petitioner Otis
McDonald, 76 at the time, was a retired maintenance worker who resided in
Morgan Park in the City of Chicago. McDonald bought his house back in 1971, but
claimed that drug dealers and gangs had takeover the community. He said his lawn
was often cluttered with litter, his house was broken into three times, and his garage
twice. McDonald being an avid hunter, owned two shotguns at the time, but felt the
guns were too bulky and awkward to carry around. He wanted to purchase a handgun
to carry for protection and in defense of his home. Despite this, McDonald was
unable to purchase a handgun because of Chicago s banning of handguns in 1982.

The crucial question regarding this topic is whether or not the second amendment is
appropriate to the states and their political subdivisions. When McDonald took the
case to the U.S. Supreme Court, on June 28, 2010, they ruled a 5 4 decision vote for
Otis McDonald citing that it should be selectively incorporate as applicable to the

are distributed across the world and they showed to have many pharmacological
actions. To identify and characterize the antiangiogenic compounds present in the
Sophora family members, we have collected S. interrupta, from the Tirumala hilltop
areas of Tirupati, Eastern Ghats, Andhra Pradesh, India. The roots of this plant are
crushed into a fine powder and the presence/absence of phytochemical constituents in
various solvent phases was validated. Results showed that SEA extract are not only
positive for terpenoids and alkaloids but also showed significant anti oxidant and anti

phytoconstituents has shown to reduce the risk of blood vessel associated cancer. It
suggests that the compounds present in the SEA extract can serve as a powerful
physiological effects that make them useful as phytomedicine. However, there is no
such secondary metabolites from S. interrupta or their allied species are documented.

Shakespeare in the Sound and the Fury Essay
Shakespeare in the Sound and the Fury
The Tomorrow soliloquy in Act V, scene v of the Shakespearean
tragedy Macbeth provides central theme and imagery for The Sound and
the Fury. Faulkner may or may not agree with this bleak, nihilistic
characterization of life, but he does examine the characterization
extensively.
Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow
Creeps in this petty pace from day to day

Essentially, each section of
the work addresses Macbeth s nihilism from a contrasting perspective.
Benjy is an idiot by definition, a human with such a low IQ that he
cannot sustain life on his own. His idiocy liberates him from time
constraints. Benjy cannot distinguish the present from the past,
memory from current action, illusions from realities. In the present
time when his section elapses, Benjy believes he perceives his sister
Caddy who has left nearly fifteen years prior. Benjy s life lies on a
foundation of misconception; he relies on others (Versh, T.P., and
Luster) to sustain its existence. Thus, Benjy is a quintessential
example of the poor player Macbeth describes. Benjy basks in a
brief life of complete insignificance and then is heard no more.
Furthermore, Benjy s life is full of sound and fury: he moans
incessantly sound. Benjy moans in remembrance, in frustration, in
anger, in hunger; he moans for everything fury. Even Benjy s
bellowing, the greatest attempt he makes to vent emotion, is to no
avail.
Eventually, Benjy s life will flicker out like a brief candle as
Macbeth professes. Faulkner portrays this idea through fire imagery
throughout the first section. For example, Benjy quits his moaning
only when he sees fire. Benjy relates, Then I looked at the fire
again and the
Notes On The, Leads And Sales Funnel
Secret #3: Leads, Leads, Leads
You ve already learned in secret #2 how important it is to write and promote quality
content. Now that you re familiar with the techniques, however, it s important to take
a step back and look at the bigger picture.
Content promotion should be guided by a strategy, if you want to make the most of
lead generation. Finding the focus of your campaign and coming up with clearly
defined goals will be the keys to success, enabling you to track response and measure
the outcome of each campaign you carry out.

Purchase: this phase is defined as a specific action undertaken by the customer.
Repurchase: this step involves the emotional response of the buyer and their
satisfaction with the product that will potentially lead to a repuchrase.
Awareness
In order to understand and make full use of the customer buying cycle, you will
need to find the right market data and use it effectively. You need to come up with a
buyer persona that will guide all other steps of the process.
Know how to identify the benefits that your clients want. Benefits and features are
two individual concepts that need to be defined and understood individually. Features
are defined as basic characteristics. Benefits, on the other hand, refer to positive
results that can be expected after undertaking a particular action.
Do market motivation research: this kind of research will give you access to the
beliefs and requirements of a particular market segment. One on one interviews and
surveys can be used effectively to figure out what makes customers choose one option
over another.
Once you do this research, you can come up with a marketing and a content plan that
will target the core beliefs and the benefits that the particular market segment you re
interested in wants.
The final step of understanding the customer buying cycle involves creating a sense
of urgency. This tactic has become tremendously important, yet

Essay about The Demands of Middle School Writing
All middle school students, grades 6 8, are required to develop well written
compositions. According to the Louisiana Depart of Education (2008), to meet the
demands of the comprehensive curriculum, these students are required to write
complex multi paragraph compositions with a clearly focused main idea and
developed with relevant ideas, organization patterns, and structure that communicates
clearly to the reader. The grade level expectation also states that the students are
required to use a variety of sentence structures, voice and word choice to meet the

The ability to write to meet the demands of the curriculum and the state wide
standardized assessment is important for the middle school student, and it is an area
of learning they need to acquire. Writing well is not just an option for young people it
is a necessity. Along with reading comprehension, writing skillis a predictor of
academic success and a basic requirement for participation in civic life and in the
global economy (Graham Perin, 2007).
Special Student with Special Challenges Although writing compositions is required
and is difficult for all students, students with special needs find writing particularly
difficult (Gore, 2004). It is a complex, higher order thinking skill that has special
challenges for special students. These students, like any student, are required to have
a clear understanding of the subject matter and they must develop understanding on
the synthesis level, knowing what kinds of data to collect, collecting those data,
clearly and completely understanding those data, organizing them and getting them
down on paper... (162). For the student with special needs this task can be
overwhelming.

with numbers corresponding to the concentrations. To each cuvette we added 1 ml

inverted to mix allowing it to sit for a total of 5 minutes. We first inserted the blank
cuvette into the spectrophotometer and pressed blank once right after we put in each
of the cuvettes with the protein concentrations. In between each cuvette we put in a
blank before the next step. After the absorbance were recorded, we created the
standard curve. We then graphed the standard curve, with solutions and their protein
concentrations. We then labeled each cuvette along with a blank. We repeated the
process from finding the standard curve with the known solution. We then used the
equation from the standard curve in order to find the concentrations of proteins and
compared. The concentration is the independent variable which is plotted on the x
axis and the absorbance is the dependent variable which is plotted on the y axis.

Fasting Feasting By Anita Desai
Anita Desai s novel Fasting, Feasting, is a two part novel set in the 20th century.
The first part is situated in India, while the second is situated in Western
Massachusetts, in the United States. Desai focuses very seriously on the theme of
gender and social roles, particularly referring to female characters. The author
reveals that America s society, in those days, placed gender expectations to its
members, especially regarding to female beauty. The written task intends to show
how and why American women are represented through the character of Mrs
Patton. This is the reason why, in this essay I will analyse the first prescribed
question, How and why is a social group represented in a particular way? , of the
topic Power and Privilege . In the text, Mrs. Patton is the sister of Mrs. O Henry, the
wife of Mr. Patton and the mother of Rod and Melanie. Also, she is the one who
invites Arun to stay with her and her familyin Western Massachusetts. Desai
presented her character in order to portray the stereotypical women of America....

revealed that Mrs Patton seeks to keep herself cheerful with the shopping and her sun

Essay about SUMMERTIME AND SPRING RAIN
SUMMERTIME AND SPRING RAIN
Upon first sight, it appears that John Sloan s Spring Rain and Edward Hopper s
Summertime only common characteristic is that they are both oil paintings on
canvas. Spring Rain, from the school of Impressionistic art, was painted in 1912.
Summertime, which possesses a simplified, schematic style, was created over thirty
years later, in 1943. Therefore, there are extreme differences in the two artists
technique and style. However, despite these differences, the two painters works
embody the same theme: They are both scenes of urban realism characterized by
isolation and loneliness. John Sloan s painting depicts a dismal view of municipal
life. The painting s gloominess is achieved most effectively ... Show more content on

Pale yellow can be detected in the window shades, in the floor on the staircase and in
the woman s hat. In order to contrast the yellow, Hopper uses a very light, whitish
blue in the curtains and in the woman s dress. The fact that the woman s dress is
white, with a hint of blue, suggests that the woman is almost, but not quite pure.
Another compositional style that creates despondency in the paintings is Sloan and
Hopper s line usage. Hopper uses strong verticals, horizontals, and diagonals. These
lines form simple, large geometric forms. This preciseness gives the architecture a
sense of depth and perspective. There is also a stark play of light and shadow in the
architecture of the building. All of these elements make the building s architecture
extremely realistic.
In contrast, John Sloan heavily uses curvy, S shaped lines in Spring Rain, for
example, in the trees and in the shape of the woman s body. The path of the top lines
on the park benches gives the painting perspective, drawing the viewer s eye to the
background. The background of the painting uses the technique of pointillism, the
specific arrangement of paint splotches. This technique also helps to give the painting
texture in the tree branches and leaves.
Even though both painters use different line styles, both styles trigger similar
emotional effects in the viewer. For example, Sloan s contoured lines give the
painting a sense

Abstract
Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is the most common endocrine disorder
diagnosed in women of reproductive age. The disease manifests itself with varying
symptoms and has long term consequences of heart disease, diabetes, and infertility.
PCOS has no clear etiology or pathophysiology, and as new information is being
contributed, the mechanism and components of the disease is being updated.
Presented here are the most understood and accepted components of PCOS, and its
pathology as a reproductive disorder along with its endocrine and metabolic
relationships. PCOS pathophysiology exhibits itself mainly through increased
androgen synthesis through ovaries and adrenal glands causing follicle growth to halt
in the antral stage. Its etiology has been determined to be multifactorial with both
genetic and environmental factors causing or increasing effects. Genetics of PCOS
have shown its transmission to be in autosomal dominant fashion while
environmental factors such as obesity, insulin resistance, and intrauterine
environment contributes to its phenotype. Relationships between the factors are
discussed and how they contribute to the overall phenotype.
Introduction
Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is a hormonal endocrine disorder that causes
an increase in androgen production primarily from the ovaries. Affecting 10% of
women between the ages of eighteen through forty four, it is one of the leading
causes of infertility in women and one of the most

3. What research would you conduct if you were in Zenith s position?
If I were in Zenith s position, I would prefer to conduct the following researches that
seem to be the key factors determining the success for the innovation and also to be
the uncertainty reflecting risks in the marketplace:
Market demand and growth forecasting: Zenith can t completely rely on historical
data to forecast market demand and growth. It must do extra researches to ensure a
more accurate estimate for the demand and growth model. The necessary researches
should include past data analysis; current demand estimating; future demand
estimating; survey of buyer s intentions; sales forecasting; and gathering of expert s
opinions......
Price test: although HDTV manufacturers may focus mainly on middle class as their
initial target market segment, the industry used to be price sensitive. So, a proper
pricing strategy can maximize market share, and stimulate market demand. A price
test becomes necessary to help to figure out a suitable price
The Importance Of Mcmahan s Decision To Go To The
Military
Now it is easy for an individual to tell someone to not do something without
knowing the full extent of that person s limitations. For example, I can tell my best
friend to purchase a ticket to go to my wedding that is in the Dominican, and if he
doesn t come to my wedding, it is an indication that he does not value our
friendship. On the surface, it sounds like a fair assessment. Now, what if I tell you
now that my friend is living in his car and has about 2 dollars in his bank account.
Certainly, you would not expect me to be upset if he doesn t come down to my
wedding now, as he is severely limited in his monetary capabilities to physically be

That being said, McMahan has no right to essentially scold an individual for not
being able to fix a financial situation without knowing the circumstances to which
that individual was put in that predicament. Now I acknowledge that McMahan
could counter this argument by saying that due to the high rate of mortality, the
decision to go to war must not be taken lightly. As such, anyone with financial
strains on the verge of entering a war that could be unjust should simply do
something else to find money and sustain their survival. This is a fair assessment,
as individuals should look to all possible courses of action when deliberating a
major decision like entering a war. That being said, I challenge, McMahan to say
the same if he is in a position of severe economic duress, to the point of starvation
and still want to take the time to find a way past this other than war if the choice
was provided to him. There would be no way of this happening because he will
physically not be in a position to choose because his body is withering

Mexican American women provide a cultural division within itself that reflects in a

women who identify with Mexican American heritage and the struggle in terms of
living up to Mexican culture as a separate ethnic body. The women in Sandra Cisneros

CleГіп¬Ѓlas thought her life would have to be like that, like a telenovela, only now

This story centers on two characters, Cleofilas and Felice, a Mexican American a
strong woman who drives her own truck and isn t married. This is duly noted
because it means that she is independent of a man. This is the key difference
between Cleofilas and Felice: Felice embraces her freedom as a woman, and can go

abusive thumb of her husband and struggles to be free behind the fantasies of her

role on Mexican and Chicano women, as well as the freedom that she can

Felice and Cleofilas, because Cleofilas learns that there is life beyond her abuse and
her fantasies. She

Disappointed, Yet Optimistic Let America Be America Again
The Poem, Let America Be America Again was written in 1938 by Langston
Hughes. An American writer of the 20th century and well known for writing about
injustice and inequality against low income working folks that existed in his days
as a kid in Harlem south of Manhattan, New York. At a young age in the 1920 s were
the years of Manhattan s black renaissance (Hughes). In the poem Let America Be
America Again , the speaker expressed his frustrations of African Americanwho are
victims of deception regarding what American is portrayed be. Our narrator
emphasizes how dream became the motivation of the American people. Hughes
also made reference to the inequality and lack of freedom that existed in the
American community especially the disadvantaged multiracial, multi skill
workers. Hughes wrote about the shift in what is meant by a free America as a
result of greed and not living up to what it s known for, The Land of the Free .
People made brave move from old world through many shores to build the now
known America. The narrator however did not lose all hope. In the last lines of the
poem, Hughes showed that in the end, the freedom would be worth the while. He
expressed hope in a way of an oath that America will be! that America would become
that land of the free, the American had dreamt it to be.

Book Review of Primo Levi s Survival in Auschwitz
World War II was a war that took many lives from civilians that deserved to have a
life of their own. They were ordinary people who were victims from a horrible and
lengthy war that brought out the worst in some people. In Primo Levi s Survival
in Auschwitz, Levi gives a detailed account of his life in a concentration camp.
Primo Levi was a young Italian chemist who was only twenty four years old when
he was captured by the Nazis in 1943. He spent two long and torturous years at

The one thing all of the prisoners had in common was hunger, which laid the
foundation for their life in Auschwitz.
The prisoners in Auschwitz were treated very poorly and the world came crashing
down on them even before they were brought there. When Levi was informed that
he was going to be going to Auschwitz from Turin, Italy he did not know what to
expect but he did not expect this. He said, dancing before my eyes I see the
spaghetti which we had just cooked, Vanda, Luciana, and I, at the sorting camp
when we suddenly heard the news that we would leave for here the following day;
and were eating it and we stopped (74). He was not aware that he would not be able
to eat like this ever in the camp and was almost convinced that he would never eat
like that again period. He thought about this in one of the rare moments that he had a
chance to think about his past life that was very depressing for anyone to think about.
They all thought they would be stuck there forever which it seemed liked already.
The hunger that took over for everybody became the basis for their complex social
structure. They would use rations of bread as the currency for things that they would
need. They would buy spoons, shirts, and other things that they would need to
survive inside the camp. The veterans could tell who the new people in the camp
were because the new arrivals would stash half rations of bread in their coats while
the veterans could not do that because they
Technolgy and American Societies Today
Technology has taken an overwhelming presence within American societies today.
Careers, education, volunteering, advertising and now even fundraising can be done
solely from one s computer. With this relatively new trend, companies must take
advantage of the time clients spend online to further their own organizations. There
are three simple techniques that companies should utilize and implement to profit
from the new technological era.
The process of affiliate marketing is extremely important for publicity and
fundraising. This is when an organization directs traffic from its own website to a
different organization s website in order to promote a product, good or service of
that organization s with the promise of receiving a percentage of the proceeds in
return. Companies can profit significantly from this process if used correctly and
partnered with the right organizations. Many popular companies participate in
affiliate marketing, such as Amazon, local grocery stores, sporting goods stores, etc. It
does not cost anything to establish an affiliate marketing relationship with a company,
but can have exponential rewards.
The concept of online donating and memberships is an excellent way companies can
benefit from the Web. Asking face to face for money can make both the asker and the
potential giver uncomfortable, and with the wrong atmosphere laid, it can cost an
organization a substantial donation. The opportunity to donate online provides clients

The Physics Of Gravity Fed System
Gravity Fed System
In rural area of Cambodia, Water from the rainwater tank is supplied to the targeted
facilities such as houses and school by gravity. Gravity is a force that attracts all
the objects on the Earth surface due to the attraction exerted by the mass of the
planet. This force usually fall at lowest point of the surface. In this situation, the
water in the tank flows down by its own weight through pipe and run out from taps.
It is applicable if the pipes and taps are lower than the level of the water in the tank
itself. The formula to calculate the force acting by the height of water is as follow:
P = ПЃgh where,[1]
W: Pressure of the water (Pa) ПЃ: density of water (kg/m3) g: gravity of the Earth
(ms 2) h: height of the water from the ground surface (m)
Figure 6 Illustration of the gravity force acting on the water
In addition, most of the rainwater tank in rural area of Cambodia are elevated
rainwater tank and ground level water tank. Both rainwater tanks use the force of
gravity to transport water by pipework to nearby houses. Main reason of using gravity
force for water transportation due to it low maintanence and running cost. In addition
the level of services also consistence due to low maintannece needs. Therefore for
elevated rainwater tank, the foundation normally is built with four reinforced concrete
tower elevated between 4m up to 9m. For ground water tank, its foundation is built
700mm above the ground level to provide sufficient
All Men Are Created Equal Research Paper
Culture and ethnic groups have many strict values and principles when it comes to
war. Most ethnic groups tend to focus on themselves rather than taking into account
the international issues that are occurring. With the advancement of society, these
groups often stand by their morals instead of trying to engage in new ones and
accepting the worldwide conflicts. More often than not, ethnic groups are
discriminated against even after the rise of the concept All men are created equal
(The Declaration of Independence). Yet, this idea is neglected especially in regards
to social status and race. These people have different intentions and repeatedly are
being encouraged to blend into American society and leave their values behind. In the
past, equality and individual rights were portrayed in an extremely different matter
which impacted people s views on freedom today.
In today s generation, converging viewpoints make it difficult for an individual to
speak their own mind without prejudice. Politics have a huge range of diverse
opinions; however, international affairs need to be decided by a nation as a whole.

Job performance is formally defined as the value of the set of employee behaviors

However, in this situation, Josephine and Vienne manage to knock out Serge before any real damage. This sends the message that a hero is not always needed for the damsel in distress. In this situation, two heroines got the job done. In conclusion, Josephine becomes more of a feminist during her growth without her husband. • 10. Reflection On Teaching And Learning According to Dr. Patricia Alexander teaching and learning are interrelated. Teachers and students learn at the same time. As Dr. Alexander mentions in the video that actions and characteristics of one affect the other. For example, if a teacher in a classroom is not preview prepare for class, students will lose interest in the class. Students have to perceive that the teacher is mentally and intellectually well prepare in order to show some interest in the class. One of my teacher s actions affected me when I was in middle school. I remember that when I was in 7th grade one of my teachers used to say to his students that they are very dumb to learn. I as student felt like I really was dumb. Even though, I tried to learn everything he taught us, I did not retain any information. As a result, my grades dropped a lot, so I refused to go to that school until my mother moved me to another school. In the other hand, if there are students that do not show any interest in learning, teachers performance is affected. For example, there is anything a teacher can do when a student does not really want to learn. Some teachers use a variety of strategies without any result of learning, but is does not mean that the teacher is not well prepare; it is more about what the student want. Dr. Alexander also mentions in the video that the factors that determine success are the same for teachers and students. I believed that it is connected because teachers and students are in constant

This research paper, based on Brian Ludeke s journal article, will show that just as Ludeke states, MLO fits the characteristics of a criminal street gang. Not only does MLO fit the definition of what a reasonable person would believe a street gang to be, but most importantly it fits the definition of a criminal street gang as it is defined in the California STEP act. According Ludeke s article, MLO has been responsible for nearly killing a young man, beating another, and threatening witnesses with death if they went to the police. While he recognizes that MLO is not as big a threat or as notorious as other well known gangs, it does not take away that an emerging gang is a gang nonetheless. Ludeke s thesis can easily be identified in his article title alone. While he first asks the question of whether MLO is a dangerous street gang, he also answers it by emphasizing the criminal justice system s failure to identify suburban gangs which by default hurts their efforts to fight them. Failing to identify MLO as a gang prevents law enforcement from finding the correct theory as to why youths join gangs. Since MLO members

Even though the hot scorching midday sun was beating down, he found it necessary to take a walk, calm his nerves, and gather his thoughts on issues soon to come. For many months, the king and his advisers have met in one, of many cool, damp secret chambers beneath the Citadel of Splendor to discuss the growing problems with lawless merchants outside Kelmoor Keep. Therefore, if someone was able to read or stole his papers they would be completely lost, finding the writing gibberish and worthless. Thanks to his curse, he would remember them all with little thought. Rounding the corner, he saw the name Ventis, and stopped at the well guarded door that led down to the sub terrestrial chamber. Essay about SUMMERTIME AND SPRING RAIN SUMMERTIME AND SPRING RAIN Upon first sight, it appears that John Sloan s Spring Rain and Edward Hopper s Summertime only common characteristic is that they are both oil paintings on canvas. Spring Rain, from the school of Impressionistic art, was painted in 1912. Summertime, which possesses a simplified, schematic style, was created over thirty years later, in 1943. Therefore, there are extreme differences in the two artists technique and style. However, despite these differences, the two painters works embody the same theme: They are both scenes of urban realism characterized by isolation and loneliness. Pale yellow can be detected in the window shades, in the floor on the staircase and in the woman s hat. In order to contrast the yellow, Hopper uses a very light, whitish blue in the curtains and in the woman s dress. The fact that the woman s dress is white, with a hint of blue, suggests that the woman is almost, but not quite pure. Another compositional style that creates despondency in the paintings is Sloan and Hopper s line usage. Hopper uses strong verticals, horizontals, and diagonals. These lines form simple, large geometric forms. This preciseness gives the architecture a sense of depth and perspective. There is also a stark play of light and shadow in the architecture of the building. All of these elements make the building s architecture extremely realistic. In contrast, John Sloan heavily uses curvy, S shaped lines in Spring Rain, for example, in the trees and in the shape of the woman s body. The path of the top lines on the park benches gives the painting perspective, drawing the viewer s eye to the background. The background of the painting uses the technique of pointillism, the specific arrangement of paint splotches. This technique also helps to give the painting texture in the tree branches and leaves. Even though both painters use different line styles, both styles trigger similar emotional effects in the viewer. For example, Sloan s contoured lines give the painting a sense

The disease manifests itself with varying symptoms and has long term consequences of heart disease, diabetes, and infertility. PCOS has no clear etiology or pathophysiology, and as new information is being contributed, the mechanism and components of the disease is being updated. Presented here are the most understood and accepted components of PCOS, and its pathology as a reproductive disorder along with its endocrine and metabolic relationships. PCOS pathophysiology exhibits itself mainly through increased androgen synthesis through ovaries and adrenal glands causing follicle growth to halt in the antral stage. • 30. The Importance Of Mcmahan s Decision To Go To The Military Now it is easy for an individual to tell someone to not do something without knowing the full extent of that person s limitations. For example, I can tell my best friend to purchase a ticket to go to my wedding that is in the Dominican, and if he doesn t come to my wedding, it is an indication that he does not value our friendship. On the surface, it sounds like a fair assessment. Now, what if I tell you now that my friend is living in his car and has about 2 dollars in his bank account. Certainly, you would not expect me to be upset if he doesn t come down to my wedding now, as he is severely limited in his monetary capabilities to physically be at my wedding. Now I acknowledge that McMahan could counter this argument by saying that due to the high rate of mortality, the decision to go to war must not be taken lightly. As such, anyone with financial strains on the verge of entering a war that could be unjust should simply do something else to find money and sustain their survival. This is a fair assessment, as individuals should look to all possible courses of action when deliberating a major decision like entering a war. That being said, I challenge, McMahan to say the same if he is in a position of severe economic duress, to the point of starvation and still want to take the time to find a way past this other than war if the choice was provided to him. There would be no way of this happening because he will physically not be in a position to choose because his body is withering

Careers, education, volunteering, advertising and now even fundraising can be done solely from one s computer. With this relatively new trend, companies must take advantage of the time clients spend online to further their own organizations. There are three simple techniques that companies should utilize and implement to profit from the new technological era. The process of affiliate marketing is extremely important for publicity and fundraising. This is when an organization directs traffic from its own website to a different organization s website in order to promote a product, good or service of that organization s with the promise of receiving a percentage of the proceeds in return. Companies can profit significantly from this process if used correctly and partnered with the right organizations. Many popular companies participate in affiliate marketing, such as Amazon, local grocery stores, sporting goods stores, etc. It does not cost anything to establish an affiliate marketing relationship with a company, but can have exponential rewards. The concept of online donating and memberships is an excellent way companies can benefit from the Web. Gravity is a force that attracts all the objects on the Earth surface due to the attraction exerted by the mass of the planet. This force usually fall at lowest point of the surface. In this situation, the water in the tank flows down by its own weight through pipe and run out from taps. It is applicable if the pipes and taps are lower than the level of the water in the tank itself. The formula to calculate the force acting by the height of water is as follow: P = ПЃgh where,[1] W: Pressure of the water (Pa) ПЃ: density of water (kg/m3) g: gravity of the Earth (ms 2) h: height of the water from the ground surface (m) Figure 6 Illustration of the gravity force acting on the water In addition, most of the rainwater tank in rural area of Cambodia are elevated rainwater tank and ground level water tank. Also, the association between job performance and satisfaction has been reviewed thoroughly to prove what matters most in order for an organization s employees to perform at soaring levels. Job performance is formally defined as the value of the set of employee behaviors that contribute, either positively or negatively, to organizational goal accomplishment (Colquitt, Wesson and LePine, 2009, p. 37). Job performance comprises of actions which are under the employees control, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Scholars suggested that OCB could be driven by the desire to have an increase in job satisfying experiences and not just the desire to help others or reciprocate favorable treatment. LMX quality enhances job satisfaction, which further increases OCB. An average corrected correlation of .36 was found between job satisfaction and OCB. This is proved by pointing out the correlation between trait conscientiousness and job satisfaction (.21). Scholars and practitioners have regarded OCB as a valuable form of behavior since OCB s use by the employees can be used for attaining greater LMX quality and satisfying job experiences and not just for signifying the response from the satisfaction stemming from a better valued LMX relationship (Lapierre and Hackett, 2007, p. 550). Counterproductive behavior is defined as employee behaviors that intentionally hinder organizational goal accomplishment (Colquitt et al. 2009, p. 46). The definition uses the word intentionally , meaning that the employees who enact such behavior have every intention of doing so, and they are not ignorant. Research shows that counterproductive behaviors in a restaurant eat up to 2 3 percent of the revenues in a year, but the nature of these counterproductive behaviors is more
