The STaR Chart is a process used by Texas schools and districts to document technology integration progress and support continued funding as required by No Child Left Behind. It consists of the Texas Teacher STaR Chart and Texas Campus STaR Chart which assess four key areas of teaching and learning, educator preparation, leadership and infrastructure. Districts must submit reports by June 30 each year providing data on computer access, student and administrator proficiencies, and technology integration. The Texas Teacher STaR Chart is an online tool for teachers to self-assess technology skills and support accurate reporting, grant applications, and assessment of district technology implementation.
