Archbishop Clune Case Study
In December 1921 the Archbishop of Perth, Archbishop Clune, took over the administration of the
Geraldton diocese on the death of Bishop Kelly, Father Hawes long time supporter and friend. Already
familiar with Father Hawes architecture through his presence at the opening of the Cathedral of St
Francis Xavier Cathedral in 1918, Archbishop Clune initially asked Father Hawes to draw up designs
to extend and enlarge the existing small Perth Cathedral. Father Hawes set about this task
enthusiastically and submitted a folio of plans to Archbishop Clune in July 1922.
Archbishop Clune, meanwhile, was under pressure from some of his clergy and an influential Perth
architect, Michael Cavanagh, to build a completely new cathedral using Donnybrook stone. The
Archbishop, nervous that the funds to build a new cathedral could not be raised, instructed Father
Hawes to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Further correspondence between him and the Archbishop led to Father Hawes developing plans for a
completely new cathedral in a Gothic style, which seems out of character with his architectural design
beliefs of simplicity, originality and truthfulness to materials.
He completed the designs for the new Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in early 1923. In May
he travelled through France and Spain making a study of Romanesque cathedrals and, while in Rome
in June, showed the design of the Cathedral and his sketch of his proposed new church at Mullewa to
Pope Pius XI, who blessed the work. Father Hawes completed his final design for Cathedral of the
Immaculate Conception in August.
In early October, the new Bishop of Geraldton, Bishop Richard Ryan, arrived in Perth and dined with
Archbishop Clune on his way to Geraldton. On being shown Father Hawes design for the new Perth
Cathedral, Bishop Ryan suggested it looked more like a Salvation Army

Stephen King Why We Crave Horror Movies Summary
Horror Movies: An Outlet for Insanity We are all insane. Thus, man is evil. Stephen King declares this
belief in his essay Why We Crave Horror Movies , adding his opinion to the extensive debate on the
nature of humankind. Those who believe man is evil are also unable to deny their own corruption.
Therefore, in order to move on from this distress, they come to accept this apparently inevitable
characteristic of humanity. As long as they confine their hidden desires with seemingly ordinary
activities, such as watching horror movies, the frontier that distinguishes what society deems as
acceptable will remain uncrossed. In fact, King himself has gained tremendous success by taking
advantage of the enjoyment he receives from horror stories and creating a career out of it; he became
successful by indulging in his corrupt fantasies. However, I disagree with King. I do not believe that
man is purely evil as insanity is too subjective to be an appropriate ... Show more content on

He believes everyone is insane, making sanity only a matter of degree (Paragraph 8). In society,
identifying what stands out, what is too unique, is an easy task. Those who are extremely different
from the majority s norms and values cannot be welcomed into society; instead, they are isolated in
asylums and prisons. On the other hand, the boundaries of sanity is not as clear. We do not identify
those who fit well into society as extremely normal . If we are asked to define what normal is, we
reply with synonyms, base the definition off of abnormality, or identify the ordinary as something
widely accepted. However, if an insane person is surrounded by other mentally ill individuals, is
he/she no longer insane? This issue then becomes an example of philosophical thought experiments,
similar to the question: If a tree falls in the forest and no one is there, does it still make a

The Puzzle Of 15 Puzzle
N Puzzle is a sliding puzzle that consists of a frame of numbered square tiles in random order with one
tile missing. The N Puzzle is known in finite versions such as the 8 puzzle (a 3x3 board) and the 15
puzzle (a 4x4 board), and with various names like sliding block , tile puzzle , etc. [1][2]
The 15 puzzle is a sliding square puzzle commonly attributed to Sam Loyd. However, research by
Slocum and Sonneveld (2006) has revealed that Sam Loyd did not invent the 15 puzzle and had
nothing to do with promoting or popularizing it. The puzzle craze that was created by the 15 puzzle
began in January 1880 in the United States and in April in Europe and ended by July 1880. Loyd first
claimed in 1891 that he invented the puzzle, and he continued until his death a 20 year campaign to
falsely take credit for the puzzle. The actual inventor was Noyes Chapman, the Postmaster of
Canastota, New York, and he applied for a patent in March 1880. [4]
The N Puzzle is a board game for a single player. It consists of (N^2 1) numbered squared tiles in
random order, and one blank space ( a missing tile ). The object of the puzzle is to rearrange the tiles
in order by making sliding moves that use the empty space, using the fewest moves. Moves of the
puzzle are made by sliding an adjacent tile into the empty space. Only tiles that are horizontally or
vertically adjacent to the blank space (not diagonally adjacent) may be moved. [2]
The N puzzle game provides a good framework for

Persuasive Essay On Drink Drinks
30. Drink Juice
Even natural fruit juices contain sugar you are far better just eating the fruit itself.
31. Buy Smoothies
Feel free to make your smoothies at home, but buying them is a recipe for disaster. Unfortunately, you
can t control what they put in them and a giant cup of smoothie isn t healthy. When you do make them
at home be careful about your portions you should only throw one serving of fruit in it along with
some natural yogurt and a drop of peanut butter (or perhaps avocado).
32. Drink Energy Drinks
Even if you prefer the sugar free options they re still going to contribute to a serious high before
resulting in a total crash. It s not going to keep your weight loss journey on track and it is likely to
affect your sleep schedule, too.
33. Cut Carbs
While there are bad carbs, you shouldn t cut them all because your body needs them remember, fiber
is also a carbohydrate.
34. Weigh Yourself Daily
Trust us when we tell you this will get you nowhere fast. It s more likely to leave you feeling
discouraged that you aren t achieving your goals fast enough. Instead, weigh yourself once every two
weeks.
While we mentioned the danger of fad diets above we believe it s important to stress some of those
that we are talking about. These are popular diets that many people believe are harmless ways to help
lose weight and in reality, they put your health at risk. Despite statements to the contrary there is no
scientific evidence to back any of these diets.

Taxonomy Of Cobia (Rachycentron Candum)
Introduction
Cobia (Rachycentron candum) goes by many English variant common names, such as, black kingfish,
black salmon, cabio, crabeater, cubby yew, kingfish, lemonfish, ling, prodigal son, runner and sergeant
fish (NOAA, 2014; Bester, n.d.). The initial taxonomy of cobia was labeled as Gasterosteus canadus
by Linnaeus in 1766 and then later changed to the current name Rachycentron candum (as cited in
Bester, n.d.). Often the cobia is misidentified as a shark or a remora (family Echeneidae) which is the
closest living relative to the cobia. Incidentally, the cobia is the only member of the family
Rachycentridae. The historical range of the species is within tropical, subtropical and warm temperate
waters worldwide with the exception of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Cobia can achieve lengths of six feet and weigh as high as 135 pounds (Bester, n.d.; Williams, 2001;
NOAA, 2014). The common length of a cobia is between 25 and 47 inches with weights up to 50
pounds. Cobia males are known to live up to 9 years old while the females can live to 11 years (Bester,
n.d.; Williams, 2001; NOAA, 2014). Males reaches sexual maturity in as little as 2 years and females
in 3 years. During reproduction cobia form in large groups during the daytime between the months of
June and August within the Atlantic fishery. The Gulf of Mexico reproduction occurs between the
months of April through September. Cobia spawns several times in a season, as many as 15 20,
releasing between 375,000 and a million eggs (NOAA, 2014; Bester, n.d). The spawn frequency of
cobia using both oocytes undergoing final oocyte maturation (FOMs) and postovulatory follicles
(POFs) estimated the spawn every 4 to 5 days in the North Central Gulf of Mexico, while those from
the southeastern U.S. Atlantic coast spawn every 5.2 days (SEDAR, 2013) The larval is typically
released within 24 36 hour and within 5 days the larval has developed eyes and mouth for feeding.

Riba Plan Of Work
Strategic Definition is a stage in the RIBA Plan of Work 2013. Precisely this is Stage 0 of the plan
where there are many tasks. In the first task bar called the core objectives task, the architect is required
to identify the client s Business Case and Strategic Brief as well as other core project requirements.
The Business Case shows the reason for beginning a project or task. It is a mix of objective and
subjective considerations. The Strategic Brief is the brief prepared to enable the strategic definition of
a project. The strategic considerations may include considering different sites or deciding whether we
to extend, refurbish or build new projects. The second task in the Strategic Definition stage is
Procurement. At this stage, the architect needs to have initial considerations for building the project

Paul Laurence Dunbar Essay
Poetry is the most passionate and personal way Paul Dunbar could express himself. Through specific
poetic devices such as tone, rhyme, persona and form Dunbar is able to influence the emotions of his
audience. Poetry is a beautiful melancholy form of writing used to express a specific theme or lesson.
Paul Dunbar writes a poem in the form of a rondeau to achieve a memorable rhythm used to better
express the theme. The hardships of his life have impacted his poetry, and have allowed him to better
connect with the hardships others face as well. Paul Laurence Dunbar has endured more pain in his
lifetime than most people could bring themselves to even imagine. Pain is the motivation for his
powerful poems. In 1872, Dunbar was born in Dayton, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Dunbar lived his entire life wearing a deceiving smile upon his face to conceal the torment he had
endured. People wear disguises that seem to be joyful and pleasant but are really nothing but lies. The
author uses we so his audience can connect themselves to him and the message within his poem. This
makes the theme of the poem universal to all people. Hides our cheeks is significant because facial
cheeks are a good way of showing emotion, such as blushing (2). Blushing could show
embarrassment, and lifting of the cheeks could indicate a smile. So hiding ones cheeks would be an
efficient way of concealing emotions. The author shades our eyes because eyes are thought to be the
peepholes into a persons thoughts and feelings (2). This debt we pay to human guile (3). This
obligation we feel to hide our emotions is due to the slyness of our human nature. People constantly
feel as though they have to hide their pain and sorrows from the eyes of others. With torn and bleeding
hearts we smile (5). The author points out no matter how much emotional pain a person might be in,
they still smile their biggest to hide the agony. We smile, but, O great Christ, our cries/ To thee from
tortured souls arise (10 11). Dunbar emphasizes the fact that while smiling, people are silently crying
to God. They are praying for a release from the torture they endure every single day. We sing, but oh
the clay is vile (12). Singing and smiling are

John F. Kennedy And Jfk
John F. Kennedy
My fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your
country. This is one of the most famous quotes John F. Kennedy ever presented during his term as
president of these United States. Hello I am Miya Cole and in these next few minutes I will be
informing you about our thirty fifth president, John F. Kennedy.
John Fitzgerald Kennedy or better known as JFK was born May 29, 1917 in Brookline,
Massachusetts. JFK had a particularly big family which consisted of three brothers and four sister.
Kennedy lived in Brookline for 10 years and attended the Edward Devotion School, the Noble and
Greenough Lower School, and the Dexter School through 4th grade. In 1927, the Kennedy family
moved to New York City. Kennedy attended the lower campus of Riverdale Country School, a private
school for boys, from 5th to 7th grade. Two years later, the family moved to the suburb of Bronxville,
New York, where Kennedy was a member of Scout Troop 2. In September 1930, Kennedy attended
the Canterbury School in New Milford, Connecticut and about a year later he had to leave Canterbury
due an illness.
In September 1931, Kennedy was sent to the The Choate School in Wallingford, Connecticut for 9th
through 12th grade. During his years there he sort of a trouble maker. He and his friend were most
notorious for using a cherry bomb or firecracker to explode toilet seats. In June of 1935 Kennedy
graduated from Choate. In September 1936, Kennedy

The Final Count Is Correct
The final count is correct is a common statement that operating room (OR) nurses use daily. This
statement is a signal of safety for closing the patient s operative site. The occurrence of a retained
surgical item (RSI) was the most frequently reported sentinel event from 2010 through 2012 and again
in 2014 (The Joint Commission [TJC], 2012, 2014). Counting of surgical items is necessary to provide
protection and safety of the patient. One of the highest priorities for the OR nurse is assuring the final
count of items used in the surgical procedure is accurate. Risk factors for RSIs are greater with
varying situations and barriers which often lead to inaccurate counts. Because RSIs can lead to death,
the Institute of Medicine produced a report in 1999 that was an ethical call to arms for never events
(Stawicki S. P. et al, 2013). At this time the institute challenged all facilities to establish safety
guidelines to help minimize complications that were deemed preventable (Stawicki S. P. et al, 2013).
RSIs were at the top of the list for risk. The Perioperative Nursing Data Sets (PNDS) are professional
guidelines developed and maintained by the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses. These
guidelines outline the expectations for the OR nurse to carry out while a patient is in their care. One
item of the PNDS states the patient is free from signs and symptoms of injury due to extraneous
objects (Rothrock, 2015). Counts including sponges, sharps,

Later Model Of God Research Paper
There are two absolutely different models of God during the biblical times. The one that we are
accustomed to because it was passed on to Judaism and Christianity and has been with us ever since is
the later God. The later God is found to be in the beginning of the sixth century of BCE to the end of
the biblical time frame. This God is considered to be simultaneously everywhere at once. He is
almighty and knowledgeable. He is very powerful and knows everything.
The earlier model of God is found in many texts such as Genesis and Exodus, Joshua, and etc.
Whereas the later model of God is not found in them. The earlier God in contrast to the later God goes
from place to place. He is not everywhere at once. The book gives an example of the story of Tower of
Babel that God states Let us go down and confuse their speech. This indicates that he is not present
there with the people. He is apparently up, perhaps in heaven (midrash), since he states he has to go
down. Another example the book provides entails the story of the Garden of Eden. It points out two
things. First, that God ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The biblical scholars did not have a clear understanding of God and so they expressed themselves in
ways it is easy for us readers to comprehend. The beginning of the bible describes God in a
inferior/unsatisfactory way. A whole different way and a different model from God s being. But the
older model is not to be forgotten. Kugel says in some ways it is more sophisticated than the later
model that replaced it. I would respectfully disagree. I think the later model was more sophisticated.
From my understanding, God is everywhere at once. He is powerful and superior and knows what is
happening. I do not believe the earlier version where it states that he is only in one place and he can so
call walk from place to place. I got taught that he is not directly perceivable but is omnipresent. This is
because God causes everything that happens, to

Essay about Visions of America
Visions of America
The importance of American landscape painting in the nineteenth century extended far beyond the
borders of the art world. The nineteenth century in America was a paradoxical time in which great
nationalism and enormous self confidence and optimism merged with growing disunity (Wilmerding
54), and the glow of progress was inextricably tied to the destruction of the majestic landscape that
was a source of American identity and pride. Landscape painters at this time were faced with the
difficult task of reconciling these conflicting aspects of American culture and identity. Their paintings
blend physical descriptions of the American land with cultural descriptions of the American national
identity.

As Novak goes on to point out, this elevation of landscape painting eased America s fear that the
country s lack of classical culture prevented its art from standing up to that of Europe. Cole himself,
while describing a new definition of the sublime, describes as well the shift in America from valuing
history to valuing the sense of possibility manifested in the land: He who stands on Mount Albano and
looks down on ancient Rome, has his mind peopled with the gigantic association of the storied past;
but he who stands on the mounds of the West, may experience the emotion of the sublime, but it is the
sublimity of a shoreless ocean un islanded by the recorded deeds of man. (Cole, from Essay on
American Scenery, quoted in Themes from Nature 61)
Fig 1. Thomas Cole, Landscape with Tree Trunks, 1825.
Landscape with Tree Trunks is an example of Cole s vision of the American land. This work, with its
rich palette and swirling dark storm clouds, has all the seriousness and monumentality of a history
painting. Dramatic light effects play upon the lone tree in the foreground, drawing the eye. Thus the
tree, or nature itself, rather than figures from the Bible or classical antiquity, is the subject of this
work. The vast and majestic landscape of the painting is awe inspiring, making the work a visual
example of the new American

Examples Of Irony In A Midsummer Night Dream
Imagine you are Bottom, and you wake up finding your friends running in fear, once they see you.
You, Bottom, are the victim in this dramatic irony example. Dramatic Irony is when the audience, or
other characters know something that the character doesn t. Throughout the play, dramatic irony is
used to build tension and humor in the play. During the play, A Midsummer s Night Dream, there were
also other examples of dramatic irony besides Bottom. Hermia and Lysander were true loves, but once
they were seperated by Lysander s new love, everything changed. Also a fairy queen, Titania, falls in

Black Skin, White Masks By Frantz Fanon
Black Skin, White Masks, by Frantz Fanon is a book that explains the psychology of racism. Fanon
studied medicine in France. He specialized in psychiatry. The novel looks at the minds of blacks under
white rule, and the effects race has on French society. Throughout the book Fanon discusses his
experience with racism in 1950 s France. He discusses many concepts like language barriers, race,
dependency complexes, and other controversies between blacks and whites. The book talks of events
that were dated in the 1950 s, but these concepts can help us to understand racism in America today.
In the first chapter Fanon discusses the language differences between the island of Martinique and
France. This is a very important topic, because fanon associates how the language of his people is
considered the wrong language to speak. Martinique is an island in the Caribbean that is ruled by
France. Many of the people who were well off in Martinique spoke perfect French. These were people
with a college education or people who came from France. The locals of Martinique spoke Creole.
Creole is a dialect of the French language that includes the swallows of his r s (Pg.5). I connected the
dialect creole with a dialect that is frowned upon in America, which is Ebonics. Ebonics is Black
English. Ebonics formed when black slaves tried to teach each other the English language. Fanon
wants us to know that Creole was considered improper in and outside his community. The only reason

Between Shades Of Grey Essay
Between Shades of Gray
1. Under the rule of Stalin, people were sent to be housed at the Gulag camps, by then they were using
them as a slave labor. These camps housed a wide range of convicts from minor criminals to political
prisoners. The Soviet Union s main offences were robbers, rapists, murders, and thieves, so instead of
spending their sentences in prison they got taken to the Gulag.
Yes, after reading both the book and the Soviet Union Gulag system research that I did on they were

2. The author, Ruta Sepetys s research for this novel, Between Shades of Gray, is accurate and
relevant. This is because this novel is based on a real story and Ruta Sepetys told this story based off
of real survivors from Soviet Union Gulag to create this whole novel.

I had initial thoughts of this class being extremely difficult. I am not yet sure if this is going to be true

Examining recorded sessions of myself is worrisome in the sense that I have never been able to see

improvement. I hope by learning skills from this class I will be able to improve my skills. It will

more than once, making sure that I had an understanding of everything that is expected of me in this

Senate Vs House Of Representatives
The largest compromise in the U.S. Constitution is known as the Great Compromise. This was a
compromise between two completely different plans on how the U.S. Legislature should be laid out.
The framers of the constitution decided on a two chambered Legislature. Each chamber has many
different requirements, structures, responsibilities, and powers. Because of these differences, the
Senate is known as the upper house, and the House of Representatives is known as the lower house.

These differences are why the Senate is known as the upper house, and the House of Representatives
is called the lower house. According to the Constitution, to be a member of the Senate a candidate
must be at least thirty years of age, be a citizen of the United States for nine years, and must live in the
state at the time elected. To be a member of the House of Representatives, a candidate must be at least
twenty five years of age, must be a citizen of the United States for seven years, and must live in the
state at the time elected. These different requirements support that the Senate is the upper house
because the requirements needed to be in the Senate are stricter than those of the House. The
structures also differ greatly. There are 435 members of the House and only 100 members of the
Senate. Because of this, each individual member s vote in the Senate is worth more than each member
of the House. Also a Senator s term lasts longer than a Representative s term; a Senator s term is six
years and a Representative s is two. Because of this, Senators have more time to make and change
legislation. Also if a House member makes changes that voters don t like, they can be replaced in
under two years. In the Senate, however, if negative changes are made, there isn t anything voters can
do for years and they can continue to make changes that are disagreeable to voters. The two chambers
also have different responsibilities and powers that show that the Senate is the upper house. The
House has the power to impeach government officials. They act as a prosecutor . The Senate holds the
trials of impeachment and acts as judge and jury (United States Senate). The Senate acts as the upper
house because the House only brings issues involving impeachment to the attention of the Senate. It is
the Senate who actually can impeach officials. The Senate also has

Donald Trump Essay
Donald Trump
You re fired! It was the most popular phrase in reality television. The man behind the words is famous,
powerful, eccentric, yet very matter of fact about business. Donald J. Trump, more commonly known
as The Donald, brought the business world into millions of homes with his hit reality show The
Apprentice. I thought I was the biggest star before The Apprentice, but now I m bigger. In a strange
way, he s down to earth, the kind of guy who buys a $350,000 Maybach by Mercedes but insists on
driving it himself (Naughton). Trump s brash business skills, keen instincts, and flare for taking risks
has propelled him into stardom. Trump is one of America s most well known billionaires.

Trump exhibits most, if not all of the traits of a charismatic leader. He has a vision that includes
marketing his own personal, profitable brand name. Trump is also very enthusiastic, optimistic, and
energetic. His upbeat personality helps him stay optimistic when business ventures fail. Trump is
sensibly persistent as evidenced by the restructuring of his casinos. While his casinos are falling on
hard times, he has stayed optimistic about the restructuring that will leave him without a majority

Advanced Practice Nursing And Compassion Analysis
A nursing career and caring for the sick intertwine inseparably. It requires a tremendous amount of
compassion and empathy to care for those who are in need. My philosophy of care is to treat others
with dignity, respect and compassion regardless of their race, ethnicity or cultural background. It s
about treating people the way you want to be treated and to understand that sometimes the best
medicine of all is kindness. In addition, not only is it important to provide effective and competent
care to all patients, it s extremely crucial to provide care that is genuine and compassionate. All health
care consumers should be receiving care that reflects their values and beliefs.

Advantages Of Remote Corrosion Monitoring
Advantages of remote corrosion monitoring There are a variety of remote corrosion monitoring
systems that enable maintenance personel and plant operators to get accurate measurements of
corrosion activity wirelessly hence delivering significant cost benefits. The remote solutions collect
and transmit the data from remote as well as hazardous locations and does not require running wires
between the control room and the location. Amongs the benefits of remote corrosion are Almost all
types of corrosion can be monitored Saving on time and costs, the remote corrosion monitoring leads
to more productivity, reliability and profitability. Enables the company to obtain and utilize corroion
data from hazadous location, remote locations or other inaccessible areas due to high cost of wiring.
Majority of the systems and transmitters are easy to install and takes only a few minutes, making it
possible to get the information back to the control systems, quickly. The remote moniroting systems
provides a flexible means to monitor corrosion in applications;  Where it is difficult to reach some of
the parts or areas  Remote locations  There is no access to power  Require frequent reconfiguring
 Locations where corrosion monitoring has been previously performed manually Monitor the

Introduction
Marketing is the beginning of everything. An old saying states that nothing happens until a sale is
made, and that is true. But until someone does some marketing, there is nothing to sell, and no
premise on which to sell it. Marketing is the eyes and ears of the company, tuned to the customer, and

all of the other communications about the new products. However, in today s world of exponential

They do not actually pay for the listing, but only when the listing is clicked on. CPC differs from CPV

CPA (Cost Per Action) or (Cost Per Acquisition) advertising is performance based and is common in
the affiliate marketing sector of the business. In this payment scheme, the publisher takes all the risk
of running the ad, and the advertiser pays only for the amount of users who complete a transaction,
such as a purchase or sign up. This is the best type of rate to pay for banner advertisements and the
worst type of rate to charge.
o Similarly, CPL (Cost Per Lead) advertising is identical to CPA advertising and is based on the user
completing a form, registering for a newsletter or some other action that the merchant feels will lead
to a sale. o Also common, CPO (Cost Per Order) advertising is based on each time an order is
transacted. o CPE (Cost Per Engagement) model means advertising impressions are free and
advertisers pay only when a user engages with their specific ad unit. Engagement is defined as a user
interacting with an ad in any number of ways.

The American Paradox By Michael Pollan Analysis
Redundant Contradictions Everyone is distinct in his or her own way, therefore, each individual has
different types of habits. Michael Pollan, a professor from the University of California, Berkeley, has
written a book that includes a section on something that he called the American Paradox. Emerging his
ideas from the French paradox, he has developed a concept in which he believed to be true of the
Americans diets. From his viewpoint, the relationships between the way Americans eat and balance
their nutrition and health is an inverse correlation. Pollan states that the relationship between the
nutrition of the Americans and their health and satisfaction are contrary, in which that when one factor

revealed by even more professionals that these foods actually have harmful effects on health, Sooner

Citizenship is defined as a being a citizen or a person owing allegiance to and entitled to the protection
of a sovereign state. Citizen preferred for one owing allegiance to a state in which sovereign power is
retained by the people and sharing in the political rights of those people. The concept of which in one

In the 2000 presidential election 129.5 million people were eligible to vote, however of that number
only 85.5% decided it would be a good idea to vote. Unfortunately statistics on the number of people
who were informed voters are not available. Often those that do vote complain of a lack of choice, or
having to choose the lesser of two evils. Are we really doing our democracy a favor by voting for the
candidates that we dislike the least? When is the last time a candidate ran for office that actually

stories of the corrupt and the hypocritical. The leaders that we now elect to office are often pursuing
their own interest or being corrupted by the decadent political machine that administers our nation.
They make decisions without weighing the cost on the nation and its peoples, having for the most part
made little if any sacrifice to obtain the position to which they have been elected. Most American

Ivans family was not there to support him when he needed them the most. Gerasim is a character that

details throughout his book to give a deeper insight on the message being used. One detail that
illustrated Gerasim characteristics was in chapter 7 page 118: Gerasim did everything easily, willingly,

Causes Of Operation Rolling Thunder
March 2nd, 1965 November 1st, 1968, was the time that an aerial bombardment was unleashed upon
North Vietnam. The American bombing campaign was code named, Operation Rolling Thunder.
During this time over 7 million tons of bombs were dropped in Vietnam. These air strikes that lasted
for little over 3 years has caused over 90,000 casualties with at least 72,000 being civilians of
Vietnam. And due to operational circumstances, over 900 U.S aircrafts were lost and 745 crewmen
were shot down.
There was a huge cost following Operation Rolling Thunder , with an estimated $300 million of
physical damage dealt in Vietnam. The cost to the U.S estimating at $900 million. Originally the cost
shouldn t have been that high, because the attacks were supposed to last only 8 weeks, but ended up
lasting 3 years. The main objective of Operation Rolling Thunder , was to demoralize the North
Vietnam people and to undermine the capacity of the government. Although the cost was effective, the
attacks weren t, as the Vietnamese came up with an effective defense for the bombing raids, with
assistance from China and The Soviet Union. By using surface to air missiles and radar controlled anti
aircraft artillery, the Vietnamese were able to shoot down American planes over the course of the
bombing campaigns. Thus, leading to a stalemate, where Vietnam was damaged, but so was the U.S.
The Operation Rolling Thunder campaign expanded little by little in range and extremity. In the

Effects of Electronic Usage on Quality of Sleep
Sleep is a necessity of every living person. Adequate sleep ensures an individual s ability to function
throughout the following day, both physically and mentally, and it is an essential contributing factor to
the overall health of a person (National Sleep Foundation, 2014). Consistent inadequate sleep and
what predicts it is a major concern that is often addressed by physicians and sleep specialists. Of
particular interest in this increasingly techno centric world are the effects that regular use of personal
electronic devices might have on the odds of obtaining sufficient sleep. A new study (Vallance,
Buman, Stevinson, Lynch, 2015) found that individuals with the most screen time had significantly
higher odds of reporting sleep problems to their doctors, as well as having trouble falling asleep,
waking during the night, and having trouble going back to sleep. The purpose of this proposal is to
explore whether or not the effect of technology on perceived sleep disturbances and sleep quality is
supported by objective physiological indicators. Technology is undoubtedly becoming an increasingly
integral part of everyday modern life. From morning until night, individuals are constantly plugged in

Negative emotions may undermine a negotiator s ability to analyze the situation accurately, which
adversely affects individual s outcomes. (Lewicki, J. R., Barry, B., Saunders, M. D., 2011). Due to
problems between Smith and Schmidt, Peter Smith resigned from the board in December 1991.
Immediately, following his departure the board approved of a $55 million capital project for
construction of MCA s new facility, $37.5 million of which was guaranteed by the board. The Smiths
vanished from the art scene at the end of 1991 and neglected all payments on their $5 million promise

construction funding on their new building, which started underway in 1993, contingent on the Smith

Interest align vs. opposing the position
When two people take opposite sides on any particular issue in a dispute, they both often refuse to
budge from their divergent viewpoints. Most likely outcome is a stalemate. If a solution is found then
both will win. Negotiation interests largely relate to basic human needs. They are powerful influences
in our decision making processes. Interests not only include those tangible desires which correspond
to the specific problem at hand such as increasing sales or productivity. They also link to our more
basic human emotions that are less obvious to the participants (Negotiations).

The Crusades Through Arab Eyes
According to Amin Maalouf, It seems clear that the Arab East still sees the West as a natural enemy.
Against that enemy, any hostile action be it political, military, or based on oil is considered no more
than legitimate vengeance. And there can be no doubt that the schism between these two worlds dates
from the Crusades, deeply felt by the Arabs, even today, as an act of rape (Amin Maalouf). When
reflecting on The Crusades Through Arab Eyes, this quote always sticks out as the most powerful

No matter if you are from the north, south, east or west you can feel the emotion through Maalouf s

is something all humans can relate to because it is something we all feel and have in our life. While
reading about this Jihad I sympathized and felt for the Muslim people fighting the heartless crusaders.
I have been taught my whole life that these Muslim people have been the enemies against the
Christians. Even to the point where my education has dehumanized the Muslim people. Needless to

break the predisposed dehumanization by telling emotional and relatable stories from the Arab point
of view, or should I say Arab Eyes .
In order for Maalouf to accomplish this change of beliefs successfully, he had to acquire many
credible sources for the readers to trust him. Located in the back of the book, Amin Maalouf has

Essay Nathaniel Hawthorne
Nathaniel Hawthorne s hatred of Puritanism was so big that he described in many of his writing such
as The Scarlet Letter and The Minster Black Veil. He usually satirized them as evildoers and sin
creators, not holy and Christ zealous as they described themselves. Hawthorne also used the effects of
mysterious human mind and spontaneous action to describe the Puritan as satanic worship and God
disobedience. In result, his writing reflected much of his Puritan ancestry affections. Nathaniel
Hawthorne was born in Salem, Massachusetts on July 4, 1804. His father named Nathaniel

His lack of affection for Elizabeth and his rejection for the community exposed him as selfish soul,
fear of women, and a socialist (Coale).
Nathaniel Hawthorne used the black veil as the symbol of the mystery for many readers and critics.
The veil represented an artistic symbol and a hidden ultimate meaning. The ultimate meaning was the
dark side of human feeling and deep emotion. It may emerge as the great power to dominate man s
feeling and their limits. When the power rose more powerful, it became the great fear and
hopelessness (Freedman).
The veil also used as concealment for the mysterious truth and the protection of the ugly truth. The
veil was a symbolic disguise for the corruption of human s mind and conscience. It covered Hooper s
sinful nature and revealed Hooper as a terrorist and a horrified preacher. The veil suggested to the
readers a sense of curiosity and the possibility of abnormal complex of human mind (Coale,
Freedman, and Mellow). Hawthorne continued his writing career with the most successful classic, The
Scarlet Letter in 1850. The story was about love, judgment, and condemnation of the Puritan society.

The store management is decentralized, allowing individual store managers more power in decision
making, as they were expected to come up with their own methods for cutting prices and increasing
sales. This is done differently in the competitors stores, where policies are brought in regional offices.
Superior personal customer service offered at the stores from 9am to 9pm six days a week, with
shorter working hours on Sundays (Supercentres were open continuously) together with specialized
employee training provided customers with an atmosphere in which they were happy to spend their
time and money.
Marketing
Wal Mart s slogan Everyday Low Prices is the milestone of their communication with the public as
well as their basic business principle. The corporation mainly used word of mouth advertising and
spent a lot less on marketing than the industry competitors. A strong emphasis was put on patriotism
and national causes, when it comes to the U.S. market.

giving customers what and when they want in offer. It can be compared to

The Dsm And The Systems Of Psychotherapy
The DSM and the Systems of Psychotherapy
Adam McLean
Saybrook University
Professor Bob Flax, Ph.D.
December 4, 2014
Introduction The American Psychiatric Association published the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of
Mental Disorders (DSM 5) in 2013. There have been eight publications of the manual (APA, 2013).
Regardless of theoretical background clinicians need to understand the DSM. It is now the industry
standard for evaluation and diagnosis. The DSM 5 comprehensively covers most behavioral mental
and emotional concerns. Expertise and knowledge of the DSM 5 is necessary to obtain reimbursement
from insurance companies. The complexity of the human mind and all of the working of
psychopathology cannot be limited to a single book. Practitioners are bound by the DSM 5 as a
universal communication system. The DSM 5 is a medical approach to a bio psycho social spiritual
malady. Diagnosis in the DSM is the classification of a mental illness or other problem by
interpretation of the symptoms. Pathology of medical ailments is characterized by and organ, defect,
and symptoms. Psychiatry seems to only have the handle on one component. Psychiatrists will openly
admit that they know almost nothing in regards to the cause of most diagnoses (Whitaker, 2010 Allen,
2013). Some clinicians and authors have been outspoken about their criticisms of the DSM 5. Frances
(2013) states our classification of mental disorders is no more than a collection

The Education Reform Movement
Education Reform Movement
Ever since I was a young girl, I dreamed of having a career that helped people. Growing up I had two
younger siblings and I would help my mother take care of them as much as I could. I really enjoyed it
and decided I wanted to become a nurse that worked with infants. I told my mother about my dream, I
was nine years old at the time and she just gave me a heartbroken look and said, That may never be
able to come true because that job requires schooling and any type of education is far out of our family
s budget. I was upset to be informed that. That night I heard my mother and father saying that they
believe at least grade school should be open to the public. The next day me and my family went on a
stroll through the town, we stopped off at a local store. While we were in ... Show more content on

He wanted each school year to last 6 months and wanted the lessons to be filled with excellent
curriculum. His idea was to make school free to all of the public and to do that he came up with the
idea that people will pay taxes to pay for the school. He also wanted to help the teachers out by
creating special schools for them to be trained at and increase their salary. My mother looked at me
with joy and we both had some hope for my future now. If Mann s reform movement works, then
children will be able to be more successful in life. Mann traveled to different schools to study how
they worked and seen where the schools needed improvement. He wrote many reports and took them
to show the Board of Education. The only problem with Mann s plan was they didn t know if people
would want to pay taxes to keep the schools running. So they had citizens vote on paying taxes and a
majority voted yes they would pay taxes to support public

Pep Band Personal Statement
My love for music is rooted in the solid musical foundation my parents set for me. From taking me to
my first concert when I was two, to teaching me how to play guitar at the age of four, music imprinted
itself on me early in life. I started playing the flute in 5th grade, and since then, my life has never been
the same. Continuing to play the flute throughout high school has allowed me to be heavily involved
with the music program. I have been an active participant of Concert Band, Jazz Band, Honor Band,
Pep Band, and Marching Band. Through these involvements I have had the chance to enhance my
musicianship skills. Along with countless band concerts, I have had the opportunity to perform at
places like Great America in San Francisco and at ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Last year I got the opportunity to compete at Lionel Hampton and have performed at Jazz Night in
The Dalles since my sophomore year.
Pep Band is one of my favorite facets of Concert Band. I have provided music for numerous football
and basketball games, and even a state soccer match. My freshman year the Pep Band played at the
School Cook out where we provided music to the football team, students, and faculty members. Along
with Pep Band I have competed in Auburn, Washington`s marching band competition, and have
marched in community parades for Huckleberry Fest, Spring Fest, and Homecoming.
In my free time I have engaged in playing the ukulele and performing a comedy skit at a variety show,
performing a musical rendition of the morning announcements, and street performing. Outside of
school, I actively participate in musical activities at Zion Lutheran Church. I have been a regular
member of the adult and the youth bell choirs, where I was the advisor of the Children`s Bell Choir,
where I assist with teaching the members. I also perform regularly with a multi generational flute trio
at Sunday services. Instances like these where I am Christmas caroling for homebound church
members at various nursing homes or taking a field trip to watch the Oregon Symphony rehearse that I
fall in love with music more and more. All of the opportunities that my school s music

The Mafia Did Not Kill John F. Kennedy
Since the death of John F. Kennedy many theories have evolved regarding the individual or
individuals who killed the president. Conspiracy theorist, as well as average citizens, believes Lee
Harvey Oswald did not kill the president, or that he was not the only person involved in the
assignation. According to a 2005 poll 35.90% of the respondents believe someone other than Lee
Harvey Oswald killed President Kennedy (http://forums.armageddononline.org/index.php) View Poll

Many more connections with President Kennedy and the Mafia exist, however the Mafia did not kill
President Kennedy. The Mafia had the motive and the resources to kill the president (Anders). They
also could have easily concealed their involvement in the assignation. For years prior to the election of
President Kennedy the CIA had the phones of various Mafia leaders tapped (Dallek). On all of the
recordings held by the CIA there is no evidence of the Mafia s involvement with the assignation of the
president. It is believed the Mafia had more reason to kill the Attorney General Bobby Kennedy, who
was assassinated in 1968, than his brother the president. According to Anders ...it s hard to imagine
that a group as corrupt as the organized crime syndicate could have kept this secret for 30 years
without a rapid wholesale slaughter of everyone connected to the killing... Members of the Mafia were
investigated and interrogated over the years. Not one individual implicated the Mafia. Although
Dallek states in his book the Mafia helped to elect Kennedy president there is evidence this did not
happen. In his 2006 article Wood discussed an analysis of the 1960 vote totals from the Mafia
controlled election districts in Chicago. It was found individuals in those areas did not show a
significant increase in votes for Kennedy. The election totals for West Virginia have also been
questioned over the years. The Warren Commission concluded there

  • 2. Archbishop Clune Case Study In December 1921 the Archbishop of Perth, Archbishop Clune, took over the administration of the Geraldton diocese on the death of Bishop Kelly, Father Hawes long time supporter and friend. Already familiar with Father Hawes architecture through his presence at the opening of the Cathedral of St Francis Xavier Cathedral in 1918, Archbishop Clune initially asked Father Hawes to draw up designs to extend and enlarge the existing small Perth Cathedral. Father Hawes set about this task enthusiastically and submitted a folio of plans to Archbishop Clune in July 1922. Archbishop Clune, meanwhile, was under pressure from some of his clergy and an influential Perth architect, Michael Cavanagh, to build a completely new cathedral using Donnybrook stone. The Archbishop, nervous that the funds to build a new cathedral could not be raised, instructed Father Hawes to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Further correspondence between him and the Archbishop led to Father Hawes developing plans for a completely new cathedral in a Gothic style, which seems out of character with his architectural design beliefs of simplicity, originality and truthfulness to materials. He completed the designs for the new Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in early 1923. In May he travelled through France and Spain making a study of Romanesque cathedrals and, while in Rome in June, showed the design of the Cathedral and his sketch of his proposed new church at Mullewa to Pope Pius XI, who blessed the work. Father Hawes completed his final design for Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in August. In early October, the new Bishop of Geraldton, Bishop Richard Ryan, arrived in Perth and dined with Archbishop Clune on his way to Geraldton. • 3. Stephen King Why We Crave Horror Movies Summary Horror Movies: An Outlet for Insanity We are all insane. Thus, man is evil. Stephen King declares this belief in his essay Why We Crave Horror Movies , adding his opinion to the extensive debate on the nature of humankind. Those who believe man is evil are also unable to deny their own corruption. Therefore, in order to move on from this distress, they come to accept this apparently inevitable characteristic of humanity. As long as they confine their hidden desires with seemingly ordinary activities, such as watching horror movies, the frontier that distinguishes what society deems as acceptable will remain uncrossed. In fact, King himself has gained tremendous success by taking advantage of the enjoyment he receives from horror stories and creating a career out of it; he became successful by indulging in his corrupt fantasies. However, I disagree with King. I do not believe that man is purely evil as insanity is too subjective to be an appropriate ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He believes everyone is insane, making sanity only a matter of degree (Paragraph 8). In society, identifying what stands out, what is too unique, is an easy task. Those who are extremely different from the majority s norms and values cannot be welcomed into society; instead, they are isolated in asylums and prisons. On the other hand, the boundaries of sanity is not as clear. We do not identify those who fit well into society as extremely normal . If we are asked to define what normal is, we reply with synonyms, base the definition off of abnormality, or identify the ordinary as something widely accepted. However, if an insane person is surrounded by other mentally ill individuals, is he/she no longer insane? This issue then becomes an example of philosophical thought experiments, similar to the question: If a tree falls in the forest and no one is there, does it still make a ... The N Puzzle is known in finite versions such as the 8 puzzle (a 3x3 board) and the 15 puzzle (a 4x4 board), and with various names like sliding block , tile puzzle , etc. [1][2] The 15 puzzle is a sliding square puzzle commonly attributed to Sam Loyd. However, research by Slocum and Sonneveld (2006) has revealed that Sam Loyd did not invent the 15 puzzle and had nothing to do with promoting or popularizing it. The puzzle craze that was created by the 15 puzzle began in January 1880 in the United States and in April in Europe and ended by July 1880. Loyd first claimed in 1891 that he invented the puzzle, and he continued until his death a 20 year campaign to falsely take credit for the puzzle. The actual inventor was Noyes Chapman, the Postmaster of Canastota, New York, and he applied for a patent in March 1880. [4] The N Puzzle is a board game for a single player. It consists of (N^2 1) numbered squared tiles in random order, and one blank space ( a missing tile ). The object of the puzzle is to rearrange the tiles in order by making sliding moves that use the empty space, using the fewest moves. Moves of the puzzle are made by sliding an adjacent tile into the empty space. Only tiles that are horizontally or vertically adjacent to the blank space (not diagonally adjacent) may be moved. This makes the theme of the poem universal to all people. Hides our cheeks is significant because facial cheeks are a good way of showing emotion, such as blushing (2). Blushing could show embarrassment, and lifting of the cheeks could indicate a smile. So hiding ones cheeks would be an efficient way of concealing emotions. The author shades our eyes because eyes are thought to be the peepholes into a persons thoughts and feelings (2). This debt we pay to human guile (3). This obligation we feel to hide our emotions is due to the slyness of our human nature. People constantly feel as though they have to hide their pain and sorrows from the eyes of others. With torn and bleeding hearts we smile (5). The author points out no matter how much emotional pain a person might be in, they still smile their biggest to hide the agony. We smile, but, O great Christ, our cries/ To thee from tortured souls arise (10 11). Dunbar emphasizes the fact that while smiling, people are silently crying to God. • 10. The Final Count Is Correct The final count is correct is a common statement that operating room (OR) nurses use daily. This statement is a signal of safety for closing the patient s operative site. The occurrence of a retained surgical item (RSI) was the most frequently reported sentinel event from 2010 through 2012 and again in 2014 (The Joint Commission [TJC], 2012, 2014). Counting of surgical items is necessary to provide protection and safety of the patient. One of the highest priorities for the OR nurse is assuring the final count of items used in the surgical procedure is accurate. Risk factors for RSIs are greater with varying situations and barriers which often lead to inaccurate counts. Because RSIs can lead to death, the Institute of Medicine produced a report in 1999 that was an ethical call to arms for never events (Stawicki S. P. et al, 2013). At this time the institute challenged all facilities to establish safety guidelines to help minimize complications that were deemed preventable (Stawicki S. P. et al, 2013). RSIs were at the top of the list for risk. The Perioperative Nursing Data Sets (PNDS) are professional guidelines developed and maintained by the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses. • 11. Later Model Of God Research Paper There are two absolutely different models of God during the biblical times. The one that we are accustomed to because it was passed on to Judaism and Christianity and has been with us ever since is the later God. The later God is found to be in the beginning of the sixth century of BCE to the end of the biblical time frame. This God is considered to be simultaneously everywhere at once. He is almighty and knowledgeable. He is very powerful and knows everything. The earlier model of God is found in many texts such as Genesis and Exodus, Joshua, and etc. Whereas the later model of God is not found in them. The earlier God in contrast to the later God goes from place to place. He is not everywhere at once. The book gives an example of the story of Tower of Babel that God states Let us go down and confuse their speech. This indicates that he is not present there with the people. He is apparently up, perhaps in heaven (midrash), since he states he has to go down. Another example the book provides entails the story of the Garden of Eden. It points out two things. Kugel says in some ways it is more sophisticated than the later model that replaced it. I would respectfully disagree. I think the later model was more sophisticated. The nineteenth century in America was a paradoxical time in which great nationalism and enormous self confidence and optimism merged with growing disunity (Wilmerding 54), and the glow of progress was inextricably tied to the destruction of the majestic landscape that was a source of American identity and pride. Landscape painters at this time were faced with the difficult task of reconciling these conflicting aspects of American culture and identity. Their paintings blend physical descriptions of the American land with cultural descriptions of the American national identity. American ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As Novak goes on to point out, this elevation of landscape painting eased America s fear that the country s lack of classical culture prevented its art from standing up to that of Europe. Cole himself, while describing a new definition of the sublime, describes as well the shift in America from valuing history to valuing the sense of possibility manifested in the land: He who stands on Mount Albano and looks down on ancient Rome, has his mind peopled with the gigantic association of the storied past; but he who stands on the mounds of the West, may experience the emotion of the sublime, but it is the sublimity of a shoreless ocean un islanded by the recorded deeds of man. He specialized in psychiatry. The novel looks at the minds of blacks under white rule, and the effects race has on French society. Throughout the book Fanon discusses his experience with racism in 1950 s France. He discusses many concepts like language barriers, race, dependency complexes, and other controversies between blacks and whites. The book talks of events that were dated in the 1950 s, but these concepts can help us to understand racism in America today. In the first chapter Fanon discusses the language differences between the island of Martinique and France. This is a very important topic, because fanon associates how the language of his people is considered the wrong language to speak. Martinique is an island in the Caribbean that is ruled by France. Many of the people who were well off in Martinique spoke perfect French. These were people with a college education or people who came from France. The locals of Martinique spoke Creole. Creole is a dialect of the French language that includes the swallows of his r s (Pg.5). I connected the dialect creole with a dialect that is frowned upon in America, which is Ebonics. Because of these differences, the Senate is known as the upper house, and the House of Representatives is known as the lower house. These differences are why the Senate is known as the upper house, and the House of Representatives is called the lower house. According to the Constitution, to be a member of the Senate a candidate must be at least thirty years of age, be a citizen of the United States for nine years, and must live in the state at the time elected. To be a member of the House of Representatives, a candidate must be at least twenty five years of age, must be a citizen of the United States for seven years, and must live in the state at the time elected. These different requirements support that the Senate is the upper house because the requirements needed to be in the Senate are stricter than those of the House. The structures also differ greatly. There are 435 members of the House and only 100 members of the Senate. Because of this, each individual member s vote in the Senate is worth more than each member of the House. Also a Senator s term lasts longer than a Representative s term; a Senator s term is six years and a Representative s is two. Because of this, Senators have more time to make and change legislation. Also if a House member makes changes that voters don t like, they can be replaced in under two years. In the Senate, however, if negative changes are made, there isn t anything voters can do for years and they can continue to make changes that are disagreeable to voters. The two chambers also have different responsibilities and powers that show that the Senate is the upper house. The House has the power to impeach government officials. They act as a prosecutor . The Senate holds the trials of impeachment and acts as judge and jury (United States Senate). The Senate acts as the upper house because the House only brings issues involving impeachment to the attention of the Senate. It is the Senate who actually can impeach officials. Growing up I had two younger siblings and I would help my mother take care of them as much as I could. I really enjoyed it and decided I wanted to become a nurse that worked with infants. I told my mother about my dream, I was nine years old at the time and she just gave me a heartbroken look and said, That may never be able to come true because that job requires schooling and any type of education is far out of our family s budget. I was upset to be informed that. That night I heard my mother and father saying that they believe at least grade school should be open to the public. The next day me and my family went on a stroll through the town, we stopped off at a local store. While we were in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... From taking me to my first concert when I was two, to teaching me how to play guitar at the age of four, music imprinted itself on me early in life. Continuing to play the flute throughout high school has allowed me to be heavily involved with the music program. I have been an active participant of Concert Band, Jazz Band, Honor Band, Pep Band, and Marching Band. Through these involvements I have had the chance to enhance my musicianship skills. Many more connections with President Kennedy and the Mafia exist, however the Mafia did not kill President Kennedy. The Mafia had the motive and the resources to kill the president (Anders). They also could have easily concealed their involvement in the assignation. For years prior to the election of President Kennedy the CIA had the phones of various Mafia leaders tapped (Dallek). On all of the recordings held by the CIA there is no evidence of the Mafia s involvement with the assignation of the president. It is believed the Mafia had more reason to kill the Attorney General Bobby Kennedy, who was assassinated in 1968, than his brother the president. According to Anders ...it s hard to imagine that a group as corrupt as the organized crime syndicate could have kept this secret for 30 years without a rapid wholesale slaughter of everyone connected to the killing... Members of the Mafia were investigated and interrogated over the years. Not one individual implicated the Mafia. Although Dallek states in his book the Mafia helped to elect Kennedy president there is evidence this did not happen. In his 2006 article Wood discussed an analysis of the 1960 vote totals from the Mafia controlled election districts in Chicago. It was found individuals in those areas did not show a significant increase in votes for Kennedy. The election totals for West Virginia have also been questioned over the years.
