Bn. I was responsible for Global External manufacturing of Formulations, API, Intermediates,
Chemicals etc. as a profit center Head & also Head of India Business Supply Chain for
Formulations. Key Responsibility areas & achievements include:
• Global External Manufacturing/Outsourcing of over 300 Formulations from 64
outsourcing locations worth over USD 600 Mn. & API, Intermediates, Chemicals etc.
• Identification & outsourcing of new formulations on FTL basis. Over 70% of new
products came from this team for India business.
• Sourcing of all dosage forms (Capsules, Tablets, Liquids, Parental, Creams etc.)
• CIP initiatives resulting in savings of over 8% in gross margin (average >58% for
India business).
• Responsible for both TP as well as LL arrangements for Domestic and International
markets.
• Instrumental in increasing contribution of externally manufactured products to over
55% of Indian business, 25% of US Business & about 12% in other geographies
• Debottlenecking internal capacities by outsourcing Formulations, API, Intermediates,
