IDFS Research Platform in WANA Demonstrate and quantify bundles of innovations for IDFS: a network of experimental farms (living labs) where bundles of innovations developed are tested, showcased, and quantified with a set of indicators assessing sustainability, resource use efficiency, and resilience to climate change. Co-design IDFS adapted to the range of socio-economical and biophysical conditions prevailing in the major desert farming systems of the region: a participatory process between researchers, advisors, and farmers for a network of pilot farms. Scaling out IDFS with a combination of policies, digital tools (big data, bio-economic models, Artificial Intelligence, and remote sensing), capacity development, and Public-Private-Producer- Finance Partnerships.
