The format of a state s electoral system plays a foundational role in the quality of its democracy.
Illiberal democracies, for example, may limit potential opponents of the ruling party; these kinds of
states are generally said to be less democratic than those which encourage political freedom.
Because a nation s electoral structure influences the nature of its democracy, one must take a
critical view on current systems and seek to better them where possible. Though not an extreme
example, the electoral system in Canada can be said to hinder democracy, albeit indirectly, leading
to apathy and discontent amongst the electorate. In a disproportionate system such as Canada s,
citizens voices are not as easily or accurately represented. For this reason, it is of utmost
importance to consider electoral reform so that Canada s system is more proportionate and
conducive to political engagement. Canada s current electoral arrangement is known as a single
member plurality or first past the post system. In this system, the basis of seat distribution is who
has the most votes during an election. For example, a candidate who wins 34 percent of the popular

psychology from Columbia University were destined to use their platform for social awareness
and change. Dr. Mamie Clark and Dr. Kenneth Clark are most well known for their Clark Doll

There was no doubt Capaldi found inspiration from classic Doctor Who, specifically the first four

Capaldi s Doctor is a bit cold and distant, much like William Hartnell s First Doctor. He needs

described as abrasive, patronising, and cantankerous all of which can also be said of the Twelfth
Doctor.
Patrick Troughton s Second Doctor may have the least influence inspiring this new version, but the
element s are there. This Doctor is known for being a calculating schemer and manipulator, who
acted a bit of a fool to get his enemies to underestimate him. We certainly saw some of that in the
opening two episodes of the 9th

military coup, was sexually involved with other woman, and threatened to separate church and

with a coup d Г©tat to over throw the previous president. He was known for being sexually
involved with younger woman in the country after the death of his former wife. This may have
occurred because of how his wife also had an affair with PerГіn s advisor, and her bodyguard.
PerГіn was also known for his wife, Eva PerГіn, who was an actor who was well known in
Argentina. The PerГіns wanted to have Eva be viewed as a saint but once the church declined,
