internships?
IPS=TtT=Train the
Trainees=preparation
week=Preparation seminar
What are the goals of TtT?
What are the minimal
requirements?
 Preparation week is the first week of the internship
(Train the Trainees).
 Content of preparation: team-building with
debriefing, information about the project and the
Czech Republic, presentation skills, flow and
specific of the project (logistic, program,
communication, debriefings explanation etc.), NPS,
trainee leader elections, goal setting, expectation
setting with the whole team.
 Minimum duration of the preparation seminar is 3
days.
Trainees get a better understanding and
preparation for their internship

mean to them on a personal level
Trainees and project team get to know each
other and their roles

step in trainees’ Inner journey is setting personal goals. We’d help
them to do that through goal settings/personal development
plans in the end of IPS.

Rules of Debriefings
 Debriefing is a safe space. There is no judgment!
 Don’t be afraid of silence. Give them space to think and time
to speak up
 You are asking questions, listening and asking additional
questions , try to speak as little as possible.
 If the situation is bad (full of emotions, blaming etc.) suggest 5
minutes break and leave the room or open window
 If the goal of the question to make trainees reflect, give them
30-60 seconds for thinking after asking them a question.
 Not everyone needs to answer
 If they are not speaking much - ask additional questions :
What would you do? What would you improve?
 when problems are mentioned, challenge them to find
solutions (Solution driven!  )
