Target Audience

Aimed market
The target market of our film would the mass
market. This is because our film isn't a specific
market at which its aimed at this is because a
niche market is usually suited for a movie
specifically aimed at a group of people. The
horror genre usually is aimed at a mass market
this is because they cost a lot of money to make
and need to get as many people to watch it as
possible so that they are able to make there
money back.
Age
The target age range for a movie like ours would be to
aim at a group that have a similar age range to us. This
is because there is always younger people trying to
impress people by saying that they watched this type of
horror movie to prove there manliness. So I would say
the target age range for this would be between 16 – 35
this is because its people of this age range which like
going to see these movies people who are younger
wouldn’t be allowed because of he age range and
people of a older age normally don’t like watching
movies like this because they only like watching movies
they watched when they was younger.
Gender
The target gender of this movie would be the male
gender. This is because there was a thought that there
could be a boost in there manliness and that they make
them seem more courageous than they actually are. I
think that they wouldn’t have the female gender as they
are stereotypically easily scared compared to men.
Normally its men that are seen to be going to watch
horror movies so that’s why they target gender of our
movie would be the male audience.
Social Status
The social status that this movie would be
aimed at is a very wide range because of there
being such a want for horror movies. I think that
it would mostly be aimed at middle class and
lower class because they are stereotypically the
status that would go to watch movies like this.
But I think that the upper class wouldn’t want to
watch movies like this because stereotypically
they don’t watch movies like this.
Location
I think that this movie would be only
aimed at people of the UK this is because
its based around the stereotypes of the
students in the UK and is also based on
the way that the actors are young britidh
actors so would be out of the norm in a
country such as India or Nigeria

I think that it would mostly be aimed at middle class and lower class because they are stereotypically the status that would go to watch movies like this. But I think that the upper class wouldn’t want to watch movies like this because stereotypically they don’t watch movies like this.
