2. Characters
As our target audience is predominantly of mixed gender aged 18-35; ways in which we
have used characters to address our audience in was by the use of a first person narrated
voice over of my protagonist reciting his daily routine in ament’s detail with several
proneness and the consistent and repetitive pattern of three. This attract the target
audience as the voice over is breaking the fourth wall between the audience and the
action on screen giving the audience an insight into Danny’s life thus creating enigma
code making the audience question the protagonist mental state.
How we attracted our target audience
Enigma
I believe we successfully attracted our audience due to the endless enigma code we
presented to the audience to keep them engaged to continue watching the rest of the
film as enigma I one of the key forms and conventions within film openings for e.g. why
dose the protagonist call this girl, who is this girl and why will a phone call change the
protagonist life
Music
The music used within my opening attracted the audience as firstly the music is used to
create an atmosphere music fit the codes and conventions of psychological thriller being
extremely eerie, mysterious and tension building. I believe The eerie music attracts the
audience as it consistently changes in frequency and tempo to hyperbolize the action
taking place on screen drawing the audience in for e.g. during the chopping of the
strawberry’s the Music use Pleonastic sound with the chopping sound with hash repetitive
notes (low frequency and fast tempo).
