Did Paul Haggis Ever Win an Oscar for Best Filmmaker
Question 5
1. Q U E S T I O N 5
How did you attract/address
your audience?
2. Masthead
My masthead is at the top of
my page as is the largest
font of my Cover Page.
This is so audience can
easily understand what
the magazine is called,
and as it is a rhyme, it
would attract the audience
into looking at it and
wanting to buy it. I regularly used ‘copperplate
Gothic Bold’ because it is a
well recognisable font.
3. Cover lines
My cover lines on the Cover Page would attract the
audience when on the shelves because they are short
and snappy, catching the eye and attention of the
reader.
Also, if the reader is interested in what they read, they
will then be attracted to buy it so they can read the
full story.
The sue of cover lines was effective because they gave
the audience a quick overview of what the magazine
contains, giving them a chance to like what they see
before buying.
5. The photos I have used are effective and will attract my
audience because they follow the typical costumes
and shot plans of grime magazines.
There are a couple mid shots used. This shows the
audience his costume well, and would attract the
audience as they would want to know what fashion
the artists like to wear.

6. Article
My article was in a style of a
story, which told what my artist
was planning on doing with his
career and how he got to where he
is.
The article is organised into three
columns, this is effective because it
makes the page looks more
professional and tidy.
With the use of changes of
colours, the audience would be
attracted to look at the words in
the different colours. The words
‘The Unknown’ are in red so the
audience knows that he is the main
focus of the whole page.
