The parietal lobe is involved in sense of touch, movement detection, and spatial awareness. Damage can cause syndromes like Gerstmann's where one has difficulty with left/right, writing, and math. The occipital lobe processes visual information and damage can cause visual agnosia where one cannot identify objects by sight. The temporal lobe contains auditory areas and Wernicke's area for language understanding. Damage to these areas can cause hearing or language deficits depending on the location of the damage.
