Working Title:
Games4u
What is it called? This can change if you think of something better later
Audience:
Because my product is going to be a video game magazine, my audience will be teens and male
because magazine are more suited to teenagers and the game that will be advertised in the
magazine will be a violent game which is why it will appeal to males. The social status of my
audience is middle class, as they able and most likely to be this type of magazine.
Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc. Use
the Audience Classifications PowerPoint on Blackboard to help you develop this section.
Why would your project appeal to this person? Discuss each audience element in relation
to content (why would your product appeal to the age group? Why would your product
appeal to the gender? Etc.)
Rationale (approx. 100 words)
I have used Photoshop many times so I know how to used photo editing software. I also did level 2
media and one of the project we had to make a video game magazine so I know what I’m doing.
Also this year I acquired more skills on Photoshop. I also have a good knowledge of video game
so I’ll have enough to write about in the double page spread, and it’s also easy for me to get
screen shots of video game as I have software that can do that, and in my opinion the work that I
have done in the past two years gas been good.
Review your progress throughout the year- what skills and knowledge have you acquired?
How has the subjects you have studied this year informed your choice for this project?
What have you studied and how will it have a direct impact upon your project?
Project Concept (approx. 200 words)
I am going to make a video game magazine, Which will mainly advertise one game of my choice. I
will have bright eye catching colours, and on the front page it will show a character from a game of
my choice. I have researched different types of magazines and looked at their different designs,
and I plan to incorporate some of their design choices in to my product.
What is the concept for your project and what are you going to make?
What research will you need to conduct and how will it help you make your project/
Evaluation (approx. 50 words)
I plan to evaluate all the features such as colour text and layout, I will also talk about the audience
effect. I will talk about features that went well and features that didn’t go so well. I will evaluate the
audience’s effect, and how they felt about my product, I will do this by their opinion on my
magazine.
How do you plan to evaluate the work? Reference conducting on-going evaluation and your
final self-reflection, analysing your work and its outcomes.
