The document describes the music video production and editing process for a student project. It discusses the filming process, which involved simple shots around campus. Editing in Premiere Pro included importing footage and audio, assembling clips on the timeline by cutting shots to match the music, and exporting the final video. The planning went well but time management was an issue, requiring a simplified approach. Lessons for future projects include allowing more time for filming and editing.

2. FILMING
• Technical – Using the camera was not a problem in this project as my shots were not
complicated and were easy to set up. I did not use any equipment like green screens or
anything including the college studio. The only equipment I needed was a tripod and a
camera.
• Logistical – The locations I used were just around college and the only problems I ran
into were trying to get a clean shot without catching any students within it. Most shots
were fine trying not to catch other student in it, but some locations I could not avoid that.
For example, the outside shots. I did not run into any major problems with the environment
when shooting my music video
• Personnel – I had a short crew of two people and there were no problems with filming as
the other crew member is a member of the class and my filming was within college time so
it was easy to communicate and make things run smoothly. My music video did not require
a huge crew as it was a very simplistic music video.
• Planning –My planning was completely different to my finished product. The planning was
smooth and was successful but my time management let me down and I had a week to
film the music video and edit it so I had to revert to a plan B which did not take too long to
edit or film. The planning did not cause me too many problems and ran smoothly, and it
did not effect the final product.
• Next steps – The way I changed my video was to go for a very simple approach with the
shots being simple and the music being simple. The video was heavily influenced by the
Radiohead song music I was using in my music video. I went with this approach to help
with my time management, so I went with a really simple video. The next time we do a film
product I will take into account the amount of time I have to film and edit to avoid having to
go to a plan B which does not reflect my skill and the detail in my original idea.
3. EDITING –
SETTING UP PREMIERE
This is the first thing that
appears when you open a

can locate quickly. You can either drag the footage from your desktop straight to
premiere, or you can select edit and click import to get your footage onto premiere.
To get audio onto your video you will have to use a YouTube to mp3 converter to
download your song onto your computer then use the same method to get it onto
premiere.
I stored all my footage/audio in my music video folder on my desktop then stored
the footage and audio in their appropriate folder in that folder
7. EDITING –
ASSEMBLY EDIT AND
REFINEMENT
The way I structured my clips was very simple s my music video was simple
itself. I dragged the clips I had filmed onto the timeline and cut them
appropriately, by cutting the shots to line up with the previous and the next.
This was to create the effect of the character moving through these locations
with each shot.
The way
