Scope of the Problem…..
In India over 81.5 lakh children don’t go to school
•The 81.5 lakh children who are out of school constitute 4.22 per cent of kids in the six to 14-year-
old age bracket.
•The 2011 Annual Status of Education Report (ASER), which tracks trends in rural education,
indicated that enrollment rates among primary-school-aged children were about 93%, with little
difference by gender.
Here are the some major factor which are demolishing the education system-
•Inadequate Teacher Qualification and support.
Reason- Teachers who are teaching in these primary schools are themselves studying in
colleges and were not good students at their times. And secondly, They are in the school not
because of their interest in teaching but they have no other options.
• High Absenteeism & low Teacher’s motivation.
Reason- Salaries don’t have any correlation with the absenteeism. Rather there are some other
reasons also-
Better infrastructure has 5-7.5 % effect, Remoteness of school has 4 % effect, and Inspections
also have significant impact over this issue.
Unannounced visits to 3700 primary schools in 20 states representing 98% population, 25%
absence – only 45% actively engaged in teaching (in some states only 25%)
Contd..
• Flawed Teaching Methodology.
Reason- Most of them are not B.Ed.’s. No arrangement is made for their trainings; no
arrangements for workshops are made to introduce them to pedagogy.
• Linguistic Diversity.
Reason- India's linguistic diversity creates unique challenges for the nation's education system.
The country's 22 official languages and hundreds of spoken dialects often differ considerably
from the official language of the state or region.
• Inadequate Basic Infrastructure Facilities.
Reason- For instance, DISE reported in 2012 that more than 91% of primary schools have
drinking-water facilities and 86% of schools built in the last 10 years have a school building.
However, there is still a long way to go: Only 52% of primary schools have a girls' toilet, and
just 32% are connected to the electricity grid.
• Null Interest of guardians for children’s education (Specifically for girl Childs).
Reason- Due to lack of awareness about education programs.
Developing Education by creating a network (Team)
from management colleges with Engaging the Head
Person (Mukhiya) of the village
Explanation of proposed solution
Know- How: an overview
• Form a association of students from various colleges by sending them invitation through
social media.
• Send invitation to some of the NGOs like Sshrishti, Bhoomi so that they can assist in
financial requirement.
• Make aware to the Head person (Mukhiya of the village) about the program.
Execution
Phase
• Volunteers will go to visit primary schools and they will conduct a meeting with
Mukhiya person and then they will start teachers training for latest pedagogy and teaching
methodologies by conducting the workshops.
•Students will be provided basic computer literacy by the professional team.
•A soft skills specialized team will motivate teachers as well as students so that the
problem of absenteeism can be overcome.
• Basic infrastructural problems will be taken care by a specialized cell by doing
continuous liasioning with NGOs and by other charity funds.
• Easily accessibility of the education will be our strength point.
• Steps taken by govt for awareness i.e. Mid day meal scheme (MDM), sarva shiksha
abhiyan. and huge financial aid.

The Students leaded project will result in enhancing &
sustaining the high quality education system but it has
also certain key risks in its execution
Challenges and Risks
 Government usually don’t take
initiative in such projects.
 Passive participation of political
parties.
 People live in remote areas resist
themselves to cooperate for such
programs.
 Education sector is governed by state
bodies so changes in curriculum is
difficult.
 Lack of infrastructure facilities.
 Linguistic diversity problem arises
region to region.
Mitigation factors
 Procurement of fund from NGOs and
corporate sponsors.
 Creating awareness among the public via
direct approach the political party
representative.
 Creating the positive environment by
meetings with village Mukhiya and
Municipality Head.
 To make aware about the infrastructure
issues to the village Head and
Municipality Head.
 Recruit volunteers from across the
country.

  • 2. Scope of the Problem….. In India over 81.5 lakh children don’t go to school •The 81.5 lakh children who are out of school constitute 4.22 per cent of kids in the six to 14-year- old age bracket. •The 2011 Annual Status of Education Report (ASER), which tracks trends in rural education, indicated that enrollment rates among primary-school-aged children were about 93%, with little difference by gender. Here are the some major factor which are demolishing the education system- •Inadequate Teacher Qualification and support. Reason- Teachers who are teaching in these primary schools are themselves studying in colleges and were not good students at their times. And secondly, They are in the school not because of their interest in teaching but they have no other options. • High Absenteeism & low Teacher’s motivation. Reason- Salaries don’t have any correlation with the absenteeism. Rather there are some other reasons also- Better infrastructure has 5-7.5 % effect, Remoteness of school has 4 % effect, and Inspections also have significant impact over this issue. Unannounced visits to 3700 primary schools in 20 states representing 98% population, 25% absence – only 45% actively engaged in teaching (in some states only 25%)
  • 3. Contd.. • Flawed Teaching Methodology. Reason- Most of them are not B.Ed.’s. No arrangement is made for their trainings; no arrangements for workshops are made to introduce them to pedagogy. • Linguistic Diversity. Reason- India's linguistic diversity creates unique challenges for the nation's education system. The country's 22 official languages and hundreds of spoken dialects often differ considerably from the official language of the state or region. • Inadequate Basic Infrastructure Facilities. Reason- For instance, DISE reported in 2012 that more than 91% of primary schools have drinking-water facilities and 86% of schools built in the last 10 years have a school building. However, there is still a long way to go: Only 52% of primary schools have a girls' toilet, and just 32% are connected to the electricity grid. • Null Interest of guardians for children’s education (Specifically for girl Childs). Reason- Due to lack of awareness about education programs.
