Capital Power has implemented Unifier as our Project Control's tool for $500,000 to $2 billion construction projects. What is different about our implementation is that we use Unifier to collect quantity of work (e.g. km of roads) and the hours of labour involved. This information is very important in understanding productivity on a project and in estimating future projects. We are using Unifier on our first project, Genesee 4/5 a gas turbine plant with a construction budget of $1.5 billion. We also leverage the power of Oracle integration across EBS, P6 and Unifier to eliminate rekeying and avoidance of potential errors. Direct input by contractors of progress information also saves time.

Primavera unifier reporting with bipublisher on premandcloudCampin Chou
This document discusses custom reporting capabilities in Oracle's Unifier product using the BI Publisher tool. It covers creating data views from the Unifier database, extracting sample data, formatting reports in Microsoft Word, importing the report format into Unifier and defining permissions. The presentation also discusses advanced topics like additional parameters, conditional formatting and using images in reports. The goal is to provide greater flexibility, reuse and improved maintenance of reports over the standard user-defined reports in Unifier.
Ever wondered how you could format the Oracle Standard reports to meet your requirements. No worries. It is easy. Oracle ERP makes it easy with BI Publisher to extend the output of standard reports to flat excel templates so you can do excel based analysis on ERP data. You could even make your format the default output format or output both standard and the extended format. We will use the SubLedger Account Analysis Report and the Fixed Asset Reserve Ledger report as use cases and do a tutorial on how to format the output. This capability improves productivity and empowers the end user to focus on analyzing the data instead of formatting it.
This document summarizes a white paper on improving performance of Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) and Business Intelligence Cloud Connector (BICC). It provides recommendations on monitoring tools, report and dashboard design best practices, and query optimization techniques. These include using Usage Tracking to analyze queries, limiting data volumes retrieved from the database, employing filters and indexes, and optimizing cross-subject area and cross-report queries. The document also discusses diagnostic logs, temporary tablespace sizing, and issues to consider for specific functional areas like payroll.
In this webinar, my colleague and I spoke about how enterprises can leverage Salesforce Data Connectors (ODBC, JDBC) in their enterprise tools such as:
1. Analytics tools: Tableau, Power BI, Excel, YellowFin, SAP Lumira, SAS and more
2. ETL Tools: Informatica Power Center, AWS Glue, Oracle Database Gateway, Linked Server
3. Big Data tools: Apache Sqoop, Apache Nifi and Apache Flume
4. Data Integration Tools: SSIS, MuleSoft, SAP Data Hub
Here is the abstract:
Named IDC’s #1 CRM provider for the fifth straight year, Salesforce plays a large role in empowering digital transformation efforts at companies across the world. Unsurprisingly, businesses increasingly want access to their Salesforce data for analytics and other mission-critical processes.
Enterprises often turn to homegrown Salesforce connectors to deliver Salesforce data to other business apps. However, building a custom data connector for Salesforce isn’t easy—it can take months or even years. Join our upcoming webinar, where we dive into the different considerations for developing a Salesforce data connector.
We’ll discuss:
What is a Salesforce data connector?
Which language should you pick—SQL, SOQL or SAQL?
What goes into a Salesforce connector (metadata, SQL processing, throttling, etc.)?
When should you build vs. buy?
Plus, we’ll wrap things up with a demo of how to pull Salesforce data into Tableau. Watch the webinar today!

Finally, it demonstrates creating a sample report using BI Publisher.
The document provides an overview and best practices for Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher (BI Publisher). It discusses the agenda which includes an overview of BI Publisher, how it makes reporting easier, better managed, and faster. It then covers best practices for BI Publisher, including practices for data model design and layout design.
