WikiKids is an online encyclopedia created for and edited by children. It was started in 2001 by Gerard Dummer from the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht as a wiki where children could collaborate on creating and editing educational articles. Over the years it has grown to include over 13,000 articles contributed by its 196,000 registered members. The most important part of WikiKids are the children who write and improve the articles, and enjoy helping others learn by answering their questions.
We used this presentation to support a conversation about wikis. The students first worked on a KWL chart, and then completed it as we discussed.
The students were engaged. Even though many of them had heard of a wiki before they didn't really understand what a wiki was.

As part of the WikiSkills project, partners organized a series of conferences in Spain, Belgium and Greece. Each national event intended to inform about the existence of this great opportunity to empower wiki-culture. These events acted as forums among scientists, educational practitioners, wikipedians and professionals linked to web2.0, to share good practices around the use of wiki.
The aim of the events was to promote the use of wiki as a powerful tool in the current educational society, as well as to develop and consolidate a sustainable community of practice.

These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.
