ACTIVITY # 1
A. Review and analyze the given definitions of mythology and folklore. Answer
the following questions comprehensively.
1. How does mythology relate to folklore?
Myth has at its core the origins of a people and is often sacred, folklore is a collection of fictional
tales about people or animals. Both myths and folklore were originally circulated orally.
2. Knowing such relationship between the two disciplines, what preparation would you
make in dealing with the course Mythology and Folklore?
I will going to read a lot about in mythology and folklore to be able to have a broader
knowledge about the subject and to easily cope up to the topic. And knowing the
importance of studying mythology and folklore can make me more interested in the
course.
