Synthesis of (Poly-methyl Methacrylate-lead Oxide) Nanocomposites and Studyin...journalBEEI
Piezoelectric materials have been prepared from (poly-methyl methacrylate-lead oxide) nanocomposites for electronic applications. The lead oxide nanoparticles were added to poly-methyl methacrylate by different concentrations are (4, 8, and 12) wt%. The structural and dielectric properties of nanocomposites were studied. The results showed that the dielectric constant and dielectric loss of nanocomposites decrease with increase in frequency of applied electric field. The A.C electrical conductivity increases with increase in frequency. The dielectric constant, dielectric loss and A.C electrical conductivity of poly-methyl methacrylate increase with increase in lead oxide nanoparticles concentrations. The results of pressure sensor showed that the electrical resistance of (PMMA-PbO2) nanocomposites decreases with increase in pressure.
Since many years we are facing the problem of breaking wires due to human activities or natural calamity. So why not we try to construct a wire that have far greater elasticity than our normal copper & aluminum wire without affecting it’s conductivity. Using elastic polymers we can create such wires. Any Polymer wire that is structured like a hollow cylinder of desired diameter and filled with conductive liquid, can have a effective quality to provide a conductive path for the movement of electrons and ions after connecting its ferrous ends to the voltage sources. Not only this wire can provide us a super elastic wire but also it reduce the power loss that normally occurs due to the resistance of the conducting metal of the wire. This will directly affect a normal person who has to face the wire breaking problems due to bad weather or other natural disaster issues and provide them a better life.

3. WHAT IS POLYMER ELECTRONICS ?
Polymer are long-chain molecules consisting of many repeat units
of monomers to make a solid material.
Polymer’s are mainly electrical insulators, but to enable their use in
electronics, conductive filters such as silver has been added to
chemical formation to increase their electrical conductivity.
The merit in this research area, Noble Prize 2000 for Chemistry
was awarded to Alan J. Heeger , Alan G. MacDiarmid And Hideki
Shirakawa.

They gain their electrical Conductivity through a property known as ‘conjugation’.
Conjugated polymers are doped with atoms that donate negative or positive charge
enabling current to travel down the polymer.

1. The first condition is the polymer consists of alternating single and
double bond, called conjugated double bonds.
In conjugation, the bonds between the carbon atoms are alternately single
and double. Every bond contains a localised “sigma”(σ) bond which
forms a strong chemical bond. In addition, every double bond also
contains a less strongly localised “pi”(π) bond which is weaker.

removing electrons from (oxidation), or inserting them into (reduction),
the material. The process is known as Doping.
There are two types of doping:
Oxidation with Halogens (or p-doping).
Reduction with Alkali Metal (called n-doping).

carriers), the performance of polymer electronic products lacks the speed
of silicon counterpart.
Research is still on going to increase the performance for more complex
functionality.
To be able to improve the performance one should be able to distinguished
between the problems introduced during preparation, intrinsic material
properties, and device characteristics.
14. CONCLUSION
IPCs are Electrically-conductive polymers in which the conductivity arises
from the presence of conjugate carbon-carbon bonds. These conjugated
polymers possess interesting and useful properties due to their delocalised
electron systems.
Polytronics is going to change the whole world of consumer electronics
and form the principal root for the major advancement in the design of
electronic circuits and manufacture of printed circuit boards (PCB).The
era of polymer electronics has taken a great start and all the technological
companies have turned their entire research towards Polytronics.
