The Network Of Public Relations
In a way, theories are the backbone of Public Relations. There are many different functions of PR, and
most, if not all of them are involving appealing to or interacting with and organizations publics. Be it
employees, customers, or any other stakeholders, theories can be referenced applied to learn now

three theories relevant are Systems Theory, Social Exchange Theory, and Social Learning Theory.
Systems Theory presents the idea that all organizations and their parts are systems that exist in relation
to each other, and that the attitudes and actions of the different parts of the system affect not only the
other parts of the organization (or system), but the system as a whole as well. Systems Theory presents
two types of systems, open and closed. An open system reacts, listens to, and embraces its publics,
both internal and external, while a closed system doesn t acknowledge their publics in decision
making. A closed system takes note of past decisions and mainly examines the past in decision
making, not it s publics. When applied to my position at NKU as the practitioner, it is important for
me to keep in mind the importance of being an open system. For example, when trying to attract new
students it s beyond important to know what these potential students are looking for in a college. NKU

Focusing on the Case
A major scientific achievement was done at the Roslin Institute because the cloning of a sheep was
successful. The sheep was named Dolly. Dolly, lived a pampered existence at the Roslin Institute. She
mated and produced normal offspring in the normal way, showing that such cloned animals can
reproduce. Born on 5 July 1996, she was euthanized on 14 February 2003, ... Show more content on

Tree genes work in bananas and frog genes work in rice. There is no limit in theory to the potential of
genetic engineering. Disease could be prevented by detecting people/plants/animals that are
genetically prone to certain hereditary diseases through genetic engineering. Animals and plants can
be tailor made to show desirable characteristics. Genes could also be manipulated in trees. B.
STUDIES Genetic engineering has been impossible until recent times due to the complex and
microscopic nature of DNA and its component nucleotides. Through progressive studies, more and
more in this area is being made possible.
Genetic engineering may be one of the greatest inventions in recent history along with the discovery
of the atom and space flight, however, governments have produced legislation to control what sort of
experiments are done involving genetic engineering. In the UK there are strict laws prohibiting any
experiments involving the cloning of humans. However, over the years here are some of the
experimental breakthroughs made possible by genetic engineering. * At the Roslin Institute in
Scotland, scientists successfully cloned an exact copy of a sheep, named Dolly . This was the first
successful cloning of an animal, and most likely the first occurrence of two organisms being
genetically identical. Note : Recently the sheep s health has deteriorated detrimentally * Scientists
successfully manipulated the genetic sequence

Minimum Wage Debate Summary
After reading these two articles about the minimum wage, there are more interesting issues that arises.
While the first article by Sabia (2014) added additional insight of how the minimum wage relates to
the poverty level, McCarrier et al (2011) adds how the minimum affects health care. The framework of
each article, is describes in three categories; 1) decisions, 2) assumptions and 3) arguments. The
objective of this paper is to develop questions for each article, which may contribute to the study.
Below is a list of these questions.

Analysis Of The Movie Salvatore Gravano
Intro On March 12, 1945 in Brooklyn, New York, Salvatore Gravano was born to Giorlando and
Caterina Gravano. As a child he frequently walked with his father and would encounter gangsters on
the streets. Giorlando, his father, would cross the street when encountering such gangsters, noticing
that this had become a routine Sammy asked his father to identify the people. According to Biography
his father replied they are bad people. At the age of ten Sammy s bicycle was stolen and with the help
of local mob members he was able to regain possession of his bicycle and was awarded the nickname
The Bull. Sammy s troubles did not end there, he was also being bullied in school, the bullying
continued until Sammy started fighting those who ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The hit was ordered because Speros nephew was romantically linked to Colucci s wife and wanted to
ask for her hand in marriage. Spero saw Colucci as a problem or threat and he decided that it was best
to eliminate Colucci. Gravano, who was ordered to kill Colucci was only twenty five years old at the
time. According to Biography, the killing of Colucci would be Gravano s making your bones which
was the name given to the first assigned hit for those in the mob. Once Gravano completed the hit
successfully he would be on his way to becoming a made member. Gravano had no qualms, despite

that Sammy comforted the Colucci family and promised them that he would find who did this to their

the murder of Colucci there was a change in the Colombo Crime Family and Sammy joined the

man that always seemed to act in a polite manner even times where most would not. Siddhartha says,
Opinions mean nothing; they may be beautiful or ugly, clever or foolish, anyone can embrace or reject

wisdom. He kindly states that he could possibly learn from on of the teacher, but is better on his own.
He doesn t belittle the teacher, he goes about his actions like a gentlemen. This is an example of Right

Fire In London Symbolism
On an extremely cold winter day (−75 °F or −59 °C), a man, who remains unnamed throughout the
story, and his native wolf dog go on the Yukon Trail after being warned of the dangers of traveling
alone in extreme weather conditions by an old man from Sulfur Creek. With nine hours of hiking
ahead of him, the man is expecting to meet his associates ( the boys ) at a camp in Henderson Creek
by that evening. The man is accompanied only by his dog, whose instincts tell it that the weather is too
cold for traveling. However, the weather does not deter the man, a relative newcomer to the Yukon,
even though the water vapor in the man s exhaled breaths and the saliva from the tobacco he is
chewing have frozen his mouth shut. It is here where London s use of symbolism of heat (sun fire life)

himself with his matches in the process. But then he accidentally pokes everything apart and
extinguishes the incipient flame while trying to remove a piece of moss. He seizes hold of the dog,
planning to kill it and use the fresh carcass for warmth; however, he finds that he can neither draw his
knife nor strangle the animal with his frozen hands. In a final desperate attempt to warm himself up,
the man tries to run along the trail but repeatedly stumbles and falls. Finally understanding the truth of
the wise man s warnings about the cold, the man succumbs to hypothermia and sleeps his way into
death, imagining himself to be with the boys as they find his body the next

Tort Reform And Medical Malpractice
Tort reform has intense arguments to both sides and creates a myriad of concerns. On one side of the
tort reform movement, defendants such as corporations and medical professionals want limits on the
damages awarded to the plaintiff. The benefit of tort reform for defendant is the financial savings.
However, a cap placed on medical malpractice cases and other cases that are of negligence would
standardize the monetary compensation regardless of the damage. In my opinion, Medical malpractice
tort reform is a gray area, for each breach of the standard of care involves a different story and person,
therefore the damages vary and should be evaluated fairly. In this essay, both sides of the argument are
discussed, with a focus on medical malpractice tort reform. Proof of Malpractice For a plaintiff to
triumph a claim of medical malpractice for negligence, four elements must be established. The first
element is proving the defendant owed a duty of care to the plaintiff. The second is to show that the
defendant breached the duty to the plaintiff. The third is to show that the plaintiff was harmed and
experienced damages. Finally, the fourth is to show that the plaintiff was harmed by the actions of the
defendant (Greenberg, 2009). How does medical malpractice differ from a standard negligence claim?
Medical malpractice differs from a standards negligence claim and some states have different
definitions. There are two primary formulations for the legal standard of

Moses Man Of The Mountain Analysis
Zora Neale Hurston in Moses, Man of the Mountain uses the biblical Exodus story to piece together
the black American s experience by explaining a broken and replicated ideology that has been adapted
by black people in America that not only facilitates the continuation of involuntary servitude but of
which has taken on a new form. Through the use of black language, black rituals and black culture, the
telling of this narration of oppression based on economic class, gender and ethnicity encompasses
factors allowing the enslaved system of racial divide to continue and sadly flourish today. For black
Americans, years of servitude of themselves, has led to a perpetuation of thus this same system among
each other. Until black people in America adopt a new unified system of operating that moves black
Americans away from acquiring space by means of systematic oppression, they will continue to
operate according to Massa s direction instead of walking in a life of true equality and freedom.
Involuntary slavery has never ceased to exist for black people in the United States of America.
Historical records indicate slavery was abolished in 1865, but in fact, contrary to this record, it
continued then and continues today. The enslavement ideology introduced on slave ships, engrained
by white America on the fields, in the cabins, by Jim on the bus, in the schools and on the job has
enveloped into a tragedy which no one has benefited from. Through Hurston s deeply personal and

Video Games And Its Effects On Female Characters
Throughout the world women are depicted to be oversexualized among forms of media such as video
games and comic books. The idea of oversexualization towards female characters is that they have
been often drawn and animated in hypersexual ways. Even going as far as viewing them as a sex
object, their revealing body images are eye candy through the eyes of men. Hence women found in
comic books and video games are frequently emphasized by their excessive physical appearances,
objectification, portrayal, and character role.
So, what does oversexualize mean anyway? The term oversexualize defines as to sexualize
excessively, which means to make something of sexual that is beyond degree in this case, a person or
someone of a gender whether male or female can be oversexualized. To begin with, costumes that
female characters wear are far more or less provocative clothes, but mainly towards sexually explicit
ways. For example, Ivy Valentine comes from a video game series called Soul Calibur who is the first
character to have a revealing outfit and in which her costumes appears to be a dominatrix style.
Furthermore, she shows a huge amount of cleavage with her exposed thighs and hips despite wearing
high boots and long gloves which indicates to be a skin display. This brings us to our next reason
about body types. The women s appearances we see in media have been designed to become a perfect
ideal and yet their massive breasts are exaggeratedly drawn to be in the size of basketballs

Differences Between England And The Colonies
1. Social and Political Climate in England and the Colonies in the 1760s
The decade that began in 1760 saw England and the Colonies exiting the Seven Year s War and
welcoming in a new king. The British Empire was reaching the height of its power with its victory
over France and her Allies. This victory led to enhanced feelings of pride and loyalty to the empire.
(Middlekauff, 2005).
This was not to last however, as the English and American societies were beginning to drift apart. A
lot of this was brought about by the differences inherent in the two societies as the American colonists
had a different class and political structure. More Americans, at least white males, owned property,
there was greater religious diversity, and the population was more ethnically diverse. ( Overview of
the colonial era, n.d.). This ethnic diversity was in large part due to immigration from various parts of
Europe such as Germany, as well as other parts of the British Empire such as Scotland and Ireland.
These immigrants brought with them different political, social and religious traditions that impacted
the overall structure of the colonies. Many of these immigrants ... Show more content on

the administration of the colonies during the early 1700s. During this period the Colonies and England
both benefited economically from the lack of regulation and enforcement. Because of this neglect, the
colonies became more autonomous and less dependent on the British Parliament (Wallenfeldt,

For methodology, it was fortunate that I got the opportunity to join the Directed Reading Program on
statistical methods, ranking soccer teams in cooperation with Dr. Steve. Because outcomes involving
multiple categories occur more often, we wanted to compare and improve existing ranking methods,
and made them suitable for more classifications. For example, primarily, there was only one
classification: scores. To advance, currently, classification of yardages would also be considered when
ranking. After collecting unstructured data online, we used least squares to get the squared matrix for
Massey s Method but found it failed to cover multiple categories simultaneously. After research and
comparison of other methods, we found that Markov Method succeeded because the weights can be
assigned to eigenvectors of normalized stochastic matrices. Since we have found the desired method,
we reached the agreement that the comparison between the two methods was consequential here. The
results by using the two methods of ranking the same set of scores were different. Therefore, on the
seminar, I concluded that Markov methods outperformed Massey s Method in the research, but further
research suggests that Massey s Methods have a better performance under some circumstances. It is

The State Of Sexual Harassment
Cates, S., Machin, L. (2012). The State of Sexual Harassment in America: What is the Status of
Sexual Harassment in the US Workplace Today? Journal of Global Business Management, 8(1), 133

Unwanted sexual advances are inappropriate whether or not an individual is at work. This article
speaks to the minds of people who have been sexually harassed at work in the 2000s. When written,
the article explained that in the last two years sexual harassment in the workplace had actually
increased. It also explains the difference between a minor incident that may involve an inappropriate
comment and many inappropriate comments that may begin affecting workmanship. Previous articles
have stated most of the time sexual harassment is based upon leadership and masculinity, but Cates
and Machin state there is no reason behind it. According to the article, there are many types of sexual
harassment: verbal/written, physical, nonverbal (inappropriate staring), severe/pervasive (attempted
rape). These are split, according to the EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission) into two
factions, quid pro quo and hostile. The consequences of these actions need to be enforced by not only
termination, but possible convictions, as well.

Critical Analysis Of A Good Man Is Hard To Find By...
Flannery O Connor was often shocked to find how people interpreted her stories. Some readers of A
Good Man is Hard to Find believed the grandmother was evil, even a witch. Soon O Connor set out,
quite explicitly, in letters and lectures to detail the theology of the story and the importance of the
grandmother as an agent of grace. In a letter to John Hawkes, she explained how violence and grace

Generally O Connor chalked up all the misreadings and confusion to the spiritual shortcomings of the
modern reader: Today s audience is one in which religious feeling has become, if not atrophied, at
least vaporous and sentimental. But the discrepancies between how O Connor is often read and how
she claimed she should be read cannot simply be explained by her theology of grace or by the lack of
religious feeling among readers. Critical opinion over the years has tended to line up behind O Connor
s own explanations; however, O Connor s analysis of A Good Man Is Hard to Find still seems baffling
and occasionally a critic has questioned the theology of the fiction. Andre Bleikasten, focusing on O
Connor s novels, claimed that the truth of O Connor s work is the truth of her art, not that of her
church. Her fiction does refer to an implicit theology, but if we rely, as we should, on its testimony
rather than on the author s comments, we shall have to admit that the Catholic orthodoxy of her work
is at least debatable And Frederick Asals recalls D. H. Lawrence s advice that a reader should trust the
tale and not the teller. Of A Good Man Is Hard to Find, Asals claims: BLOCK QUOTE One can easily

Celie Johnson
The Character of Celie Johnson Celie Johnson is forced to endure enough physical and mental abuse
to break anyone s spirits, but this strong willed individual refuses to allow her tragic life to consume
her. Miss Celie, which is what she is called by the few who do respect her, somehow learns to live
through her father and her husband s denouncing cruelty and continues to be a sweet and an
understanding woman. The most obvious characteristics of Celie are her continuous strength, her
ability to deal with hardships, and her instinct to keep fighting. Her undeniable strength comes with
protecting those she loves. She teaches herself to take all that is forced upon her because she has never
known the feeling of living an easy life. Celie has had to fight for her happiness, alone, from her
younger years into adulthood. Even though this character was in constant torment, she continued to
adapt to her surroundings and did what she could to keep those around her content. Starting with her
dad s sexual abuse and ending with her husband s demeaning attitude toward her, Celie seemed to just

Impact Of Technology On The Banking Industry
Changing Technologies The change and advancement in technology are a significant factor in the
banking business. Technology has led to tremendous improvements in this industry. Since the
commencement of this millennium, people have shown great love for their mobile phones (Ozaki
1992). It necessitated the invention of mobile applications (APPs). From the introduction of the
mobile banking, APP people rarely go to the banks. All their transactions get done simply by the
stroke of a finger. Businesses face a challenge of adapting to changes in the technology sector. Mobile
banking either through actual investing or any other means is on the rise. According to the most recent
Federal Reserve study; most of us haven t set foot in a banking hall in ages. It is a lost battle to banks
that opt to use traditional methods to conduct their banking transactions (Gup 2003). By December of
last year, close to half of all smartphone users in the United States had transacted some or all of their
banking on their phones and iPhones. In the United Kingdom alone, rates of mobile banking
transactions doubled over the course of a single year (Scn Education 2001). A banking business that
invests in this type of technology gets assured of increasing their customer base. Continued

Leonardo Da Vinci And The Invention Of Art
The Renaissance was started as a cultural movement in art, literature, and knowledge and later
marking the beginning of the Early Modern Age. It s also where the term Renaissance man came
from; it refers to a person with many talents or areas of knowledge. No single individual can define
the idea of a Renaissance man better than Leonardo DA Vinci an artist, engineer, architect, scientist,
and inventor. Leonardo DA Vinci was famous for his art; however, Leonardo was also an inventor. He
s one of the most productive inventors in history while some of the invention never made to pass the
drawing phase; the time he spends on his inventions is equal to his art. Leonardo was never afraid to
look beyond the traditional thinking; one would say that he thinks outside of the box, or the term
dream big would apply to DA Vinci. Da Vinci conceived up flying machines, war machines,
architect/innovations, and water/land machines. One of his most famous inventions was the aerial
screw, which is the name at the time for helicopter or the idea behind it.
33 Barrelen Organ, Armored Car, Self Propelled cart, Parachute, Diving Suite, Ideal City, Ball
Bearing, and Ornithopter are just some of his inventions. The 33 Barrelen Organ would be like the
machine gun of the Renaissance period, Self Propelled cart would resemble a modern car. During
Leonardo present, it would not be surprising if some might find Leonardo weird since many of

Charles Crick And James Watson
A potential key to the secret of life was impossible to push out of my mind (Watson 35). Without
Crick and Watson s development on the anatomy of DNA, the foundation for modern day knowledge
on genetics and inheritance would have never existed. Francis Crick and James Watson were two
scientists who discovered and deciphered the structure and different parts of DNA. Subsequently, if
they never conceived the whole idea of a human genome, the entire maintenance of life s code would
remain a mystery. Throughout the race where the men were aiming to be the first ones to unscramble
the DNA code, Crick and Francis encountered and exchanged ideas and hypotheses with other
scientists in order to produce the structure and function of the DNA ... Show more content on

The men exemplified exploration by looking into the works of Linus Pauling, a scientist who had
released his discoveries of the proteins found in DNA, during the mid 1930s. In addition, the x rays of
DNA photographed by Maurice Wilkins and Rosalind Franklin in the early 1950s contributed in the
finalized DNA structure (Cobb). From Francis and James article, Genetical Implications of the
Structure of Deoxyribonucleic Acid, it describes how genes can carry specific chromosomes onto later
generations. They supported their hypothesis by including the information gathered from Franklin,
Wilkins, and Pauling. If it weren t for their earlier exploration of other people s ideas, these two men
would never have been able to conduct enough experimentation in order to actually construct a model
of DNA.
Nonetheless, Crick and Watson did not simply go online and search up other s information. These men
had to encounter people and exchange ideas with them. Along that line, conflicts were encountered.
By the end of January of 1953, Watson went to King s college to meet with Wilkins in order to obtain
x rays taken of DNA. This picture that was shown to Watson is known as the famous Photograph 51,

The Nanjing Massacre Of Nanjing
November 11th, 1937, was the date that the Japanese obtained secure control over Shanghai, meaning
that this was the date that the Japanese troops began their march to Nanjing. However, the cruel
actions that lead up to the massacre in Nanjing started on August 15, where the Japanese Navy send
planes that flew over Nanjing and released bombs. From that day, all the way until December 13
(when Nanjing fell), it was estimated that more than 50 missions flew over Nanjing, using more than
800 planes and around 160 tons of bombs. An attack that was reported on August 27 said that within a
time period of two hours, 400 500 houses were destroyed and over one hundred people were killed,
with several hundred people injured. These actions planted the seed of fear in the Chinese civilians,
which grew stronger daily with the bombing attacks. Soon people begin to evacuate, and the
population of Nanjing dropped from more than a million to half a million. The Japanese troops entered
Nanjing on December 7, and launched a massive attack on Nanjing, which caused the Chinese troops
to retreat to the opposite side of the Yangtze River on December 12. On following day of the retreat,
the Japanese s 6th and 16th division entered Nanjing, with an addition of two more Japanese Fleets.

One founding principle that is listed in the platform is that separation of the public facilities at schools

Comparing Muir And Wordsworth
Naturalism is a style and theory of representation based on the accurate depiction of detail. These
writers use several different techniques of writing. The one most often used by the two is using nature
to represent emotion. In Muir s essay and Wordsworth s poem, both writers have expressed their
relationships with nature through poetry and diction.
Firstly, Muir and Wordsworth use both similar and different techniques when they write. Muir wrote
an essay that often used hopeful tones called The Calypso Borealis . He used dialect as well to
represent the way people he met spoke: Mony a puir body has been lost in that muckle, cauld, dreary
bog and never been found. By using dialect, he was able to bring accents and poor speech to life.

Overtones In To Kill A Mockingbird
Harper Lee is a fan of using subtle undertones and overtones everywhere in her book To Kill a
Mockingbird. A good example of this is with the quote Sometimes the Bible in the hand of one man is
worse than a whiskey bottle in the hand of [another]...There are just some kind of men...who re so
busy worrying about the next world they ve never learned to live in this one, and you can look down
the street and see the results. (pg. 60). This quote, as a stand alone, gets gears turning, but once it s
paired with the rest of the book, it gives an entirely new perspective on a problem that so many people
ignore or don t notice. Her book is completely littered with examples that back up this quote and it s
intended meaning. A few examples of this is when the foot washers call Miss Maudie and her flowers
a sin, when the foot washers quote scripture to Miss Maudie and she quotes some right back, when
Mrs. Farrow talks about the blacks as if they are wild animals, when Mrs. Merriweather talks about
the cooks and field hands grumbling after Tom s Trials and when Jem is explaining to Dill why
Dolphus Raymond is somewhat of a town outcast.
Some of the extremely devout people (the foot washers for example), tend to be more worried about
the next life instead of enjoying the one they currently have. By preferring to be inside reading the
Bible instead of outdoors enjoying life and wanting others to do the same, they show how the Bible
gives the ability to be scrutinized less by peers. But

Analysis Of Estrella In Under The Feet Of Jesus
The development of characters transpire as a result of significant events in their lives. Events such as
learning a new skill have the ability to transform a character s life. Estrella in Helena Maria
Viramontes novel Under the Feet of Jesus flourishes into an individual who once got upset over skills
she did not have and was upset at the process of learning, but now understands how vital education is.
Estrella was infuriated by her lack of understanding about the Perfecto s tools and the letters on the
chalkboard. She was especially agitated when the educators would not give her the answer right away
The selection of detail shows the connection between two things she overcame. The tone and
figurative language shows more detail about Estrella s transformation.
The connection between Estrella s animosity towards two skills she did not comprehend shows how
she evolves as a character. When first introduced to the tool, she was enraged by them because of her
lack of knowledge about them. She had opened the tool chest and all that jumbled steel inside the box,
the iron bars and things with handles, the funny shaped objects, seemed as confusing and foreign as
the alphabet she could not decipher (4 8). This shows that Estrella could not understand both the tools
as well as the alphabet. Luckily, the tools were similar in Estrella s mind. The script A s had the
curlicue of a pry bar, a hammerhead split like a V. The small i s resembled nails (17 19). This

concerns about extending access to the poor. Although there are some private schools that are

Private schools, unlike public schools, do not receive tax revenues. Therefore, they are not required to
follow the same regulations and bureaucratic processes that govern state funded schools, which
sometimes hinder the public system. According to Great Schools, this allows many private schools to
be highly specialized, offering differentiated learning, advanced curriculum, or programs geared
toward specific religious beliefs. While I was at Lakewood the classroom size ranged from twenty
four to thirty students for each grade and the smaller rooms allowed more one on one time with the
teacher. The students were encouraged to reach out to the teacher when there was confusion over a
topic discussed in class. Also if the student was not progressing or making an initiative to study, the
teacher would contact the parent/parents to create a plan that would help the learner. During my
elementary years, the private school also taught about manners, respect and Christian values. So when
I moved to a different town, I was forced to go to a public school in Ada. I learned very soon that the
two school systems have extremely different methods of teaching. The teachers were sometimes less
willing to help the student succeed and most did not communicate well with my parents when I was

Computerized Data Acquisition of a Second Order Reaction Abstract Introduction The rates at which
reactions occur depend on the composition and the temperature of the reaction mixture. Usually the
rate of reaction is found to be proportional to the concentrations of the reactants raised to a power.1
There are many reactions that have a rate law in the form of: (1) v = k[A]a[B]b According to
reference1 the power to which the concentration of a species (product or reactant) is raised in a rate
law of this nature is the order of the reaction with respect to that species. In equation (1) first order

Body Ritual Among The Nacirema Summary
Prompt #1 Horace Miner s Body Ritual among the Nacirema was a very entertaining essay. The essay
made made fun of American culture without directly stating the name of the culture, other than
including the word American spelled backwards. Miner bring to the reader s attention the odd rituals
practiced in America that the normal citizen would not find strange at all. However, by presenting his
essay in this form he shows how strange American customs are from the view of someone in a
different country. Miner begins his essay by describing the American culture as if it were a tribe.
Although he does so secretly, Horace Miner does state that the tribe is located between Canada and
Mexico. He then states that they have a developed market, yet they re main concern is on the body. He
then goes on to talk about the ritual areas in the homes on the Nacirema people, bathrooms, where the
people practice they re odd rituals. He does not use direct terms for the medicine men, nor any of the
other physicians that are seen in the daily lives of American people. Miner continues this process
while only leaving slight hints. Horace Miner does a terrific job in this satire. Once view of this paper
is noticed, the reader can be entertained by the mysterious ways of the Nacerima people. This essay
has brought attention to the ways of American culture, which is not only informative but very
entertaining. Prompt #2 never run, just WALK and ENJOY My life motto has always

Bring more in and keeping the ones we have to longer durations. Assuming the role as a PR practitioner behind this plan and focusing so much on students and the internal environment at NKU three theories relevant are Systems Theory, Social Exchange Theory, and Social Learning Theory. Systems Theory presents the idea that all organizations and their parts are systems that exist in relation to each other, and that the attitudes and actions of the different parts of the system affect not only the other parts of the organization (or system), but the system as a whole as well. Systems Theory presents two types of systems, open and closed. An open system reacts, listens to, and embraces its publics, both internal and external, while a closed system doesn t acknowledge their publics in decision making. A closed system takes note of past decisions and mainly examines the past in decision making, not it s publics. When applied to my position at NKU as the practitioner, it is important for me to keep in mind the importance of being an open system. For example, when trying to attract new students it s beyond important to know what these potential students are looking for in a college. An example to explain this quote can be when Siddhartha believes no teacher can teach him wisdom. He kindly states that he could possibly learn from on of the teacher, but is better on his own. He doesn t belittle the teacher, he goes about his actions like a gentlemen. This is an example of Right Speech in the Eightfold Path. He goes about his business in a respectful manner rather than aggressive and boisterous. The second ethical principal is Right Action. Siddhartha broke on of the rules when it came to this path. In Right Action one must abstain from harming sentient beings, especially to abstain from taking a life, including suicide. Although Siddhartha tried committing suicide, he did uphold most of the other believes in the stage Right Action. He was always kind and compassionate. One person he was always kind and respectful to was his father. No matter the scenario, he always treated hi with the most due respect. One other path in Ethical Conduct was Right Livelihood. Which was one should obtain wealth and success legally, without hurting anyone else in the process. Siddhartha was given a job by Kamaswami. Fire In London Symbolism On an extremely cold winter day (−75 °F or −59 °C), a man, who remains unnamed throughout the story, and his native wolf dog go on the Yukon Trail after being warned of the dangers of traveling alone in extreme weather conditions by an old man from Sulfur Creek. With nine hours of hiking ahead of him, the man is expecting to meet his associates ( the boys ) at a camp in Henderson Creek by that evening. The man is accompanied only by his dog, whose instincts tell it that the weather is too cold for traveling. However, the weather does not deter the man, a relative newcomer to the Yukon, even though the water vapor in the man s exhaled breaths and the saliva from the tobacco he is chewing have frozen his mouth shut. • 11. Tort Reform And Medical Malpractice Tort reform has intense arguments to both sides and creates a myriad of concerns. On one side of the tort reform movement, defendants such as corporations and medical professionals want limits on the damages awarded to the plaintiff. The benefit of tort reform for defendant is the financial savings. However, a cap placed on medical malpractice cases and other cases that are of negligence would standardize the monetary compensation regardless of the damage. In my opinion, Medical malpractice tort reform is a gray area, for each breach of the standard of care involves a different story and person, therefore the damages vary and should be evaluated fairly. In this essay, both sides of the argument are discussed, with a focus on medical malpractice tort reform. Proof of Malpractice For a plaintiff to triumph a claim of medical malpractice for negligence, four elements must be established. The first element is proving the defendant owed a duty of care to the plaintiff. The second is to show that the defendant breached the duty to the plaintiff. The third is to show that the plaintiff was harmed and experienced damages. Finally, the fourth is to show that the plaintiff was harmed by the actions of the defendant (Greenberg, 2009). How does medical malpractice differ from a standard negligence claim? Medical malpractice differs from a standards negligence claim and some states have different definitions. • 12. Moses Man Of The Mountain Analysis Zora Neale Hurston in Moses, Man of the Mountain uses the biblical Exodus story to piece together the black American s experience by explaining a broken and replicated ideology that has been adapted by black people in America that not only facilitates the continuation of involuntary servitude but of which has taken on a new form. Through the use of black language, black rituals and black culture, the telling of this narration of oppression based on economic class, gender and ethnicity encompasses factors allowing the enslaved system of racial divide to continue and sadly flourish today. For black Americans, years of servitude of themselves, has led to a perpetuation of thus this same system among each other. Until black people in America adopt a new unified system of operating that moves black Americans away from acquiring space by means of systematic oppression, they will continue to operate according to Massa s direction instead of walking in a life of true equality and freedom. Involuntary slavery has never ceased to exist for black people in the United States of America. Historical records indicate slavery was abolished in 1865, but in fact, contrary to this record, it continued then and continues today. The enslavement ideology introduced on slave ships, engrained by white America on the fields, in the cabins, by Jim on the bus, in the schools and on the job has enveloped into a tragedy which no one has benefited from. Social and Political Climate in England and the Colonies in the 1760s The decade that began in 1760 saw England and the Colonies exiting the Seven Year s War and welcoming in a new king. The British Empire was reaching the height of its power with its victory over France and her Allies. This victory led to enhanced feelings of pride and loyalty to the empire. (Middlekauff, 2005). This was not to last however, as the English and American societies were beginning to drift apart. A lot of this was brought about by the differences inherent in the two societies as the American colonists had a different class and political structure. More Americans, at least white males, owned property, there was greater religious diversity, and the population was more ethnically diverse. ( Overview of the colonial era, n.d.). This ethnic diversity was in large part due to immigration from various parts of Europe such as Germany, as well as other parts of the British Empire such as Scotland and Ireland. Because outcomes involving multiple categories occur more often, we wanted to compare and improve existing ranking methods, and made them suitable for more classifications. For example, primarily, there was only one classification: scores. To advance, currently, classification of yardages would also be considered when ranking. After collecting unstructured data online, we used least squares to get the squared matrix for Massey s Method but found it failed to cover multiple categories simultaneously. After research and comparison of other methods, we found that Markov Method succeeded because the weights can be assigned to eigenvectors of normalized stochastic matrices. Since we have found the desired method, we reached the agreement that the comparison between the two methods was consequential here. Soon O Connor set out, quite explicitly, in letters and lectures to detail the theology of the story and the importance of the grandmother as an agent of grace. In a letter to John Hawkes, she explained how violence and grace come together: More than in the Devil I am interested in the indication of Grace, the moment when you know that Grace has been offered and accepted such as the moment when the Grandmother realizes the Misfit is one of her own children. Critical opinion over the years has tended to line up behind O Connor s own explanations; however, O Connor s analysis of A Good Man Is Hard to Find still seems baffling and occasionally a critic has questioned the theology of the fiction. The water temperature at 200 meters below the surface remained colder than at 50 and 100 meters below sea level and continued to decrease at a gentle slope from July 18 to December 5, by ≈5 °C. A temperature increase of ≈2 °C was observed from December 5 to January 16. As indicated by Graph 2, the water temperatures at 50 and 100 meters below sea level differed by ≈4±1 °C from each other, and decreased at similar slopes. The temperature at 100 meters below sea level remained colder than that at a 50 meter deepth. The water temperature at 200 meters below sea level remained ≈10±2 °C lower than that of the other two depth temperatures. From August 1 to August 15, the temperatures at 50, 100, and 200 meter depths remained mostly constant with no more than ≈1°C variations. A second consistency between the three depths was that all three graphs have positive slopes, from September 12 to September 26, which became negative from September 26 to October 10. • 31. The Nanjing Massacre Of Nanjing November 11th, 1937, was the date that the Japanese obtained secure control over Shanghai, meaning that this was the date that the Japanese troops began their march to Nanjing. However, the cruel actions that lead up to the massacre in Nanjing started on August 15, where the Japanese Navy send planes that flew over Nanjing and released bombs. From that day, all the way until December 13 (when Nanjing fell), it was estimated that more than 50 missions flew over Nanjing, using more than 800 planes and around 160 tons of bombs. An attack that was reported on August 27 said that within a time period of two hours, 400 500 houses were destroyed and over one hundred people were killed, with several hundred people injured. These actions planted the seed of fear in the Chinese civilians, which grew stronger daily with the bombing attacks. Soon people begin to evacuate, and the population of Nanjing dropped from more than a million to half a million. The Japanese troops entered Nanjing on December 7, and launched a massive attack on Nanjing, which caused the Chinese troops to retreat to the opposite side of the Yangtze River on December 12. The one most often used by the two is using nature to represent emotion. In Muir s essay and Wordsworth s poem, both writers have expressed their relationships with nature through poetry and diction. Firstly, Muir and Wordsworth use both similar and different techniques when they write. Muir wrote an essay that often used hopeful tones called The Calypso Borealis . He used dialect as well to represent the way people he met spoke: Mony a puir body has been lost in that muckle, cauld, dreary bog and never been found. By using dialect, he was able to bring accents and poor speech to life. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

We found the worst trends that ever caught on, and compiled them into a fun little adventure for you. Don t try to start any of the up again, because they are by far the worst trends that were ever started. Number Ten: Fish Swallowing. If you thought selfies were bad, imagine being coerced into swallowing a live goldfish. In the 1930 s, the trend of swallowing whole, live fish became such a fad that it was even addressed by Time Magazine. This weird trend hit media hard, and lasted more than thirty years. Though no one ever died from the dumb acts, almost all who partook got sick to their stomach. Those poor fish! Number Nine: The Polish Plait. • 36. Overtones In To Kill A Mockingbird Harper Lee is a fan of using subtle undertones and overtones everywhere in her book To Kill a Mockingbird. A good example of this is with the quote Sometimes the Bible in the hand of one man is worse than a whiskey bottle in the hand of [another]...There are just some kind of men...who re so busy worrying about the next world they ve never learned to live in this one, and you can look down the street and see the results. (pg. 60). This quote, as a stand alone, gets gears turning, but once it s paired with the rest of the book, it gives an entirely new perspective on a problem that so many people ignore or don t notice. Her book is completely littered with examples that back up this quote and it s intended meaning. A few examples of this is when the foot washers call Miss Maudie and her flowers a sin, when the foot washers quote scripture to Miss Maudie and she quotes some right back, when Mrs. Farrow talks about the blacks as if they are wild animals, when Mrs. Merriweather talks about the cooks and field hands grumbling after Tom s Trials and when Jem is explaining to Dill why Dolphus Raymond is somewhat of a town outcast. Some of the extremely devout people (the foot washers for example), tend to be more worried about the next life instead of enjoying the one they currently have. By preferring to be inside reading the Bible instead of outdoors enjoying life and wanting others to do the same, they show how the Bible gives the ability to be scrutinized less by peers. But ... • 37. Analysis Of Estrella In Under The Feet Of Jesus The development of characters transpire as a result of significant events in their lives. Events such as learning a new skill have the ability to transform a character s life. Estrella in Helena Maria Viramontes novel Under the Feet of Jesus flourishes into an individual who once got upset over skills she did not have and was upset at the process of learning, but now understands how vital education is. Estrella was infuriated by her lack of understanding about the Perfecto s tools and the letters on the chalkboard. She was especially agitated when the educators would not give her the answer right away The selection of detail shows the connection between two things she overcame. The tone and figurative language shows more detail about Estrella s transformation. The connection between Estrella s animosity towards two skills she did not comprehend shows how she evolves as a character. When first introduced to the tool, she was enraged by them because of her lack of knowledge about them. She had opened the tool chest and all that jumbled steel inside the box, the iron bars and things with handles, the funny shaped objects, seemed as confusing and foreign as the alphabet she could not decipher (4 8). This shows that Estrella could not understand both the tools as well as the alphabet. Luckily, the tools were similar in Estrella s mind. Therefore, they are not required to follow the same regulations and bureaucratic processes that govern state funded schools, which sometimes hinder the public system. According to Great Schools, this allows many private schools to be highly specialized, offering differentiated learning, advanced curriculum, or programs geared toward specific religious beliefs. While I was at Lakewood the classroom size ranged from twenty four to thirty students for each grade and the smaller rooms allowed more one on one time with the teacher. The students were encouraged to reach out to the teacher when there was confusion over a topic discussed in class. Also if the student was not progressing or making an initiative to study, the teacher would contact the parent/parents to create a plan that would help the learner. During my elementary years, the private school also taught about manners, respect and Christian values. So when I moved to a different town, I was forced to go to a public school in Ada. Computerized Data Acquisition of a Second Order Reaction Abstract Introduction The rates at which reactions occur depend on the composition and the temperature of the reaction mixture. Usually the rate of reaction is found to be proportional to the concentrations of the reactants raised to a power.1 There are many reactions that have a rate law in the form of: (1) v = k[A]a[B]b According to reference1 the power to which the concentration of a species (product or reactant) is raised in a rate law of this nature is the order of the reaction with respect to that species.
