I decided to ensure that the data I collect would be a
range from both females and males in order to gather
diverse responses from two different perspectives. I
aimed to collect an equal amount from both parties in
order to conclude a fairly accurate summary. This was in
order for me to produce a magazine for both genders.

I decided to incorporate this question into my questionnaire in
order to gather information on the age range for my target
audience that would be suitable for my music magazine. I found
the modal age range was 16-20 years old. This information helped
me decide the theme, style, colours and context of the magazine. It
also determined was content the magazine should contain to
ensure a high quality media product that the audience would
enjoy.

I put this question into my questionnaire in order to know whether the group of
people taking part in my research actually read music magazines. This helped me
understand how many people actually enjoy reading magazines and if I need to
improve the magazine I will produce in order for my target audience to actually
want to read it. The modal answer was in fact No, second being Yes and lowest
answer being Occasionally. This illustrates a similar number of people for each
group which highlights how unpredictable the target audience could be for the
magazine.

This question was in my questionnaire to ensure that I gathered a large
range of opinions from the target audience. This results gathered
highlights the modal colours chosen for a British music magazine are
Red, White and Blue. This will help me structure my magazine’s colour
scheme in a way the audience with be attracted to. I wanted to know the
three most popular colours to use for a main style of the magazine and a
group secondary colours that I could incorporate into the content.
If other was circled, please elaborate:
I decided to use an elaboration question a couple of
times with in my questionnaire in order to gather more
detailed information from the target audience of the
magazine. These questions helped by illustrating more
in depth replies from the people I used for my audience
research that will influence how I will produce the final
media product, suited for them.
This question was to compare the content to the audience and get them to
decide on what would be the highest quality of information to incorporate
into the magazine to satisfy the target audience. The results from this
question showed that the audience was most interested in the images used
with in the magazine and also incentive. This will help with the production of
the magazine as I have a clear idea of what the readers want and don’t want
to be included.

to employ their choices on their favourite
British artists. A couple of the musicians
were mention more than once which helped
me grasp a more detailed understanding of
what the readers would like to view in the
magazine. All this information will help me
produce a product that includes artist
interviews, reviews, articles and features on
what the target audience want.
This question collected a range of diverse answers to which the audience
stated their own preferences of what should be included in the magazine
content. I found the highest chosen answer was artist interviews which
shows that the audience know they would enjoy exclusive information about
the artists chosen for the magazine and what fellow readers would also
enjoy. Artist reviews was also another frequently chosen answer which states
that the audience generally prefer to read about musicians rather than
behind the scenes or gig reviews. This information will help when final
