QUESTIONNAIRE RESEARCH
       ANALYSIS
This is my questionnaire. For find out my results I
questioned around about 20 people all from different
ages between the ages of 13-27+. I have chosen to
question these ages because it’s a mix of different ages
so I can find my established target audience. The
questions I have chosen to ask are all varied and
appropriate from my music magazine but also they are
quite in-depth questions so I am able to create a
successful magazine based on my audiences wants and
                        needs.
AUDIENCE

From my questionnaire the most popular age group was 16-18 years
old with a mix gender because both genders were popular amongst
the audience I asked. As my target audience is going to be 16-18
years old they will be in education still which is why the question of
‘Where do you read magazines?’ the most popular answer was at
home school or college. This I think is interesting because they will
need somewhere which is accessible for them to buy magazines
without having going out of their way to buy them. Also, because
they are students the price of my magazine will have to be
something which I will need to take in consideration as it needs to
be a reasonable price as they are students and won’t have much
money to spend on magazines in comparison to older working
people who have more money to spend on magazines.
WHAT THEY LIKE TO SEE

When asking questions on what my audience like the see in their magazines
they read the most popular thing which encourages them to buy a music
magazine is the exclusive content. Exclusive content is something which will
need to be kept up to date constantly as the news is always changing to my
magazine will have to be always on the ball. They would also like to see
interviews on double page spreads. My main competitor which I have found
out from my questionnaire is that Rock Sound is the most well read magazine
out of all the people I analysed. Rock Sound has got the same target audience
that I have but also they provide freebies monthly. From my questionnaire I
have found out that my student audience of 16-18 years old would spend at
most £2, this is how I will eliminate my competitor Rock Sound cos as it
stands Rock Sound charge £5 per magazine. Rock Sound is a magazine which
is purely Rock music. When I surveyed my audience another popular music
genre was the music genre hardcore.
OVERALL

Overall I think my questionnaire has definitely helped
me work out what I need to produce for my music
magazine and how to go about making it as successful as
possible. Things I will need to consider when creating
my music magazine is that because my audience is a
mixed audience I will need to think about my colour
scheme appealing to both males and females. My
questionnaire has helped me greatly work out what I
need to do and how to go about it.
