■ Self-Assessment Journal Entry Ch. 1: It really helped me see the things I needed to
work with my strength and weaknesses. Especially since I try to avoid them
sometimes.
■ Chapter 3 Journal Entry 11: I loved how I got to visualize my dreams and goals. I
absolutely love sharing what’s on my mind and why I want to chase them and make
them happen. It definitely gave me motivation.
■ Chapter 8 Journal Entry 29: It allowed me to have a slap in the face about my fleshly
emotions that get in the way for my success in school. It also gave me a visual
representation for some things I am and have went through and how I handled the
situations and how I could’ve handled them better.

■ Grayson Career Link: It allowed me to be reassured for myself on the path I’m on for
the medical field on helping people. It helped me explore new jobs in depth as well.
■ Letter to the Class: I love talking and sharing my thoughts with other people. I’m
hoping whoever reads it gets something out of it beyond just thinking this is just
another course. It was really cool to just share what was on my heart to a stranger.
■ Service Learning: I was able to be around and about at the hospital more and able to
interact with patient’s even more along with just being able to serve other people
outside of my actual everyday life job. It was a different side of it all.
4. FavoriteWeek
■ I can’t say I can decide on my favorite week because each week actually taught me a
lot that I really needed to acknowledge. It all just flowed together and opened myself
up to accepting some flaws and where I need to apply heavy changes on a regular
basis and not just for a day or two.
5. 3 Lessons to be Carried On
■ To not let my emotions win me over when trying to be successful
■ To discipline myself each and every day in order to beat my old habits to make it
through college and not give up.
■ Of course Dr. Chews videos on how to treat studying and the habits I need to form in
order to become knowledgeable in the things I am being taught.
6. Self-Assessment Scores
■ (I can’t remember and didn’t do the second set to compare)
■ But I have learned a great deal about myself and that is that I tend to make excuses for
almost everything to get out of it and justify it. I am also lazy when it comes to school
work, I procrastinate and last but not least I also lack motivation and self discipline on
most days which is a daily battle I’m currently working on to accomplish.
■ Oh yea and some heavy tips on how to study thoroughly and effectively that I had no
idea on doing thinking my ways of studying where good enough. Now I know why I
was barely getting by in my classes and on exams for the most part.
7. Grayson Link/TypeFocus
■ I found that what I had planned on doing is what was optional. I had jobs listed that
specifically helped people and served them day in and day out.
■ I learned that some of them involved very extensive training and some did not.
■ Of course they all require the fact of having patience with people and putting myself
last and other’s before me 24/7
■ I also discovered that there were more medical jobs beyond the surface of what I was
anticipating on settling for. It has definitely opened my eyes to explore my options and
do research on them all before settling.
8. Where I would be in the Future
■ I would have a small nice home, married to the father of my child, still only one child,
my son. I would be an RN somewhere in the DFW area, preferably at Parkland. All of
this would be done under the purpose of serving God and doing it all for his Glory. Oh
yea and I would also be going to Haiti with my family every summer for a month while
helping out medically.
