A Study On Image Detection
Chapter 3. Image Detection 1. Introduction Using right algorithm, can make image sensor sense or
detect practically anything. Image sensors are one of the important sensors been used in robotics
industry because they are so flexible, but there are two drawbacks with these kind of sensors: 1)they
output lots of data, dozens of megabytes per second, and 2) processing this amount of data can
overwhelm many processors. And even if the processor can keep up with the data, much of its
processing power won t be available for other tasks. Pixy cmucam5 solved these two problems by
intelligent way, it faced and solved these problems by paring a powerful dedicated processor with the
image sensor. Now pixy can processes images from the image sensor and only sends the useful
information (e.g. position of object been assigned before by giving its x and y orientation) to whatever
microcontroller you have. This microcontroller then use this data as input then process it to the
actuators. Pixy does this data analyzing and processing at rate (50Hz). And information which
processed by pixy can available through several interfaces: UART serial, SPI, I2C, digital out, or
analog out. So it is easy to communicate with pixy with Arduino or any other microcontroller and at
the same time still have a very large or plenty of CPU available for other tasks. Fig (1) I/O port

Comparison Of Amphora With Nike And Youth
Comparison Essay CA painter Amphora with Nike and Youth Myths and monument / LO1 232 Fall

painted vessels show us the greek art s history and let us know more about the ancient Greeks mind
and life. CA painter s bell krater is a large earthenware with painting around its center part. As a bell
shape vase, it has a large opening and a round body. The broad body makes it perfect for mixing and
containing. Close to the top, it has two horizontal upturned handles. The body becomes narrower as it
goes down. On the bottom, it has a small round footer that supports the whole krater. The majority of

appeared only on front and back side. It is also red figure, but it has a subtle yellow undertone. There

Organizational Structure Of Organization Structure
1. Early in the course we discussed bureaucracy. We said this form of organization was the starting
point for understanding all modern organizations. Based on the text and other class readings develop
an essay that begins with a brief definition of bureaucracy and the reason why this form of
organization remains the cornerstone of organization structure. Then, give three reasons why the
principles of bureaucracy may sometimes be dysfunctional for an organization. Conclude your essay
with a discussion of three principles that might be used for designing organizational structure that
would avoid bureaucratic dysfunction. Express each principle as a complete sentence, and with each
briefly describe why you find the principle to be important in the design of organization structure.
Number the principles as: P1, P2 P3.
RQ 1
Bureaucracy is part of the organizational structure that implements a hierarchy of management. It
brings managers together with various skills, experiences, and goals (Bateman, Snell, Konopaske, p.
34). Bureaucracy operates with rules and regulations. This structure is considered the ideal structure
for businesses to keep controls in place and every business must have structure. This is why
bureaurcracy has remained the corner stone of organizational structure. Although the bureaucracy
approach is considered good, it does have its dysfunctions.
The three reasons that makes bureaucracy dysfunctional are: 1. The red tape which could mean there

5. What are the benefits of having an indoor garden and a grow tent? The benefits of an indoor garden
and a grow tent include a controlled environment with optimal conditions, sterile setting, and you can
have more plants in a smaller space. 6. Would I spend a lot of money on a grow tent? It depends on
your needs, but generally, you get what you pay for. If you are serious about indoor gardening, it
would be a good idea to invest in a high quality grow tent. 7. Can I still have an indoor garden without
a grow tent? You could try growing an indoor garden without a grow tent, but the plants would not
grow as well because the grow tent would give them an optimal environment. 8. Which grow tent is
right for me? Assess your needs. The best grow tent for you will depend on your individual needs.
Choose one depending on the space and budget you have. Pick one that has good reviews and is easy
to set up. Make sure that you follow all of the instructions and read tutorials and ask for help from

The Cloning of Dolly the Sheep
Focusing on the Case
A major scientific achievement was done at the Roslin Institute because the cloning of a sheep was
successful. The sheep was named Dolly. Dolly, lived a pampered existence at the Roslin Institute. She
mated and produced normal offspring in the normal way, showing that such cloned animals can
reproduce. Born on 5 July 1996, she was euthanized on 14 February 2003, ... Show more content on

Tree genes work in bananas and frog genes work in rice. There is no limit in theory to the potential of
genetic engineering. Disease could be prevented by detecting people/plants/animals that are
genetically prone to certain hereditary diseases through genetic engineering. Animals and plants can
be tailor made to show desirable characteristics. Genes could also be manipulated in trees. B.
STUDIES Genetic engineering has been impossible until recent times due to the complex and
microscopic nature of DNA and its component nucleotides. Through progressive studies, more and
more in this area is being made possible.
Genetic engineering may be one of the greatest inventions in recent history along with the discovery
of the atom and space flight, however, governments have produced legislation to control what sort of
experiments are done involving genetic engineering. In the UK there are strict laws prohibiting any
experiments involving the cloning of humans. However, over the years here are some of the
experimental breakthroughs made possible by genetic engineering. * At the Roslin Institute in
Scotland, scientists successfully cloned an exact copy of a sheep, named Dolly . This was the first
successful cloning of an animal, and most likely the first occurrence of two organisms being
genetically identical. Note : Recently the sheep s health has deteriorated detrimentally * Scientists
successfully manipulated the genetic sequence

In addition to this project also designs a feedback controller that computes the most effective actions,
based on the measurements of the actual train positions. The control measures are restricted to
changing the order if running trains on the same track.

Programming, Waiting Time
1. INTRODUCTION
1.1 Model: Consider a periodic railway operations system that follows a schedule, in nominal
operation mode, assume that all the trains follow a pre scheduled route, with a fixed train order and
predefined connections. If for any of the reasons mentioned before delays are introduced in the
network, it might be advantageous to change the train order so as to minimize the delays.
1.2 Requirements Specification:
 In this project my main goal is to control the train accidents and also developed a system for trains
which allows minimum and maximum waiting times.
 The division head has control and timings by using the map.
 It also make the count of no. of trains entered into the station as well as individual platform.
 Train active status is also developed by selecting the associate train number and the motion also
developed.
1.3 Problem Statement: The problem statement concentrates on the data entry perspective and
expectations. It is the basic input to the software requirement and

Mobile Banking for the Unbanked
In many developing countries it s common for a person to have a mobile phone but not a bank
account. In fact, more than 1 billion people fit this description, and the number is only likely to
increase. To that end, many companies are considering how to give residents access to banking
services via their handsets. The GSM Association predicts that by 2012, nearly 300 million of the
previously unbanked will be using some form of mobile banking. The mistake a lot of us make is to
look at the folks at the base of the pyramid and assume that they must need the same types of services
we need. The Harvard Business School case study Mobile Banking for the Unbanked explores two
very different examples of mobile financial service models: ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

A subscription model doesn t appeal to the poor at all, Rangan says. They don t want to pay a fee for
something they might not use. Moreover, more than half of South Africa s population had no access to
a bank account. This was largely because half of the population lived below the poverty line, and
banks, understandably, were not eager to serve a moneyless customer base. Banks find it an
unprofitable proposition to serve people who make less than three dollars per day, Rangan says. Still,
WIZZIT s founders thought there was a noble and viable business model in bringing banking to the
poor, via a mobile banking platform that could be used on even the most primitive cell phone. They
succeeded in finding an engineer to develop the platform, but quickly ran into a major regulatory
roadblock. Per the South African government, only licensed banks were allowed to take deposits. The
cost of a license was the equivalent of $34 million a hefty fee for a startup and the South African
Reserve Bank was wary of issuing new permits. Hence, the WIZZIT execs began searching for an
established banking partner. Time and again the top tier banks turned

The Dual Writing Style In Gillian Flynn s Gone Girl
Nick and Amy moved from New York City, where both were laid off from their previous jobs as
writers, to Nick s hometown of North Carthage, Missouri to care for Nick s cancer stricken mother
and his father with alzheimer s. The two have a quite imperfect marriage that is at times profoundly
one sided, but is disrupted when Amy goes missing. A search Amy quickly ensues, and as the
investigation progresses, the truth about Amy and Nick s not so wonderful marriage comes out for all
to see. In this journal I will be predicting the possibility of Nick s involvement in the case, questioning
why the detectives won t rule Nick out as a possible suspect, and evaluating the dual perspective
writing style in Gone Girl.

Along with the rotating viewpoints, the two stories being told, by Amy and Nick, happen at different
times through the collective story. I usually dislike this writing method, but in this plot, I think it
works well. I like that the two do not tell the same story from different perspectives but rather one tells
the story and the other follows with a background perspective that gives some insight as to the
reasoning behind the actions and motives of the characters in the present. In the case of this book,
Nick is narrating the investigation of Amy s disappearance as chapters of Amy s diary chronicle the
past relationship between the two counterparts. The two perspectives complement each other, but
neither spoil the storyline, as dual perspective books tend to do. For example, Amy often gives us
accounts from Nick and Amy s early relationship. Her discoveries from the dawn of their romance
shows how the opposite family structures of the two partners change how act in the present of their
relationship: People say children from broken homes have it hard, but the children of charmed
marriages have their own particular challenges (Flynn 27). The two narrators of the story give a deep
understanding of the motives and actions without giving too many details that might spoil the future of

The Importance Of Academic Art
To some, academic art is traditionally used to describe true to life artwork, advocated by the European
art academies. One of the most noted academies in history is the French Royal Academy of Art.
Originating in the 17th century, the Royal Acad{ e}mie was used as a weapon in the struggle for
political and social power. This was done by creating a clear line between what was art and what was
craft, providing education to a select few who produced approved work, and eliminating the
competition by exhibiting only Academic endorsed artwork. Understanding the foundations on which
the Royal Acad{ e}mie was built on provides a gateway into clarifying their practices and ultimately
their downfall in the 20th century. When the Acad{ e}mie became tied with The Salon, young artists
could find themselves promoted to prominence through patronage connections and collectively seek
protection of artistic interests (Rosenfeld). After the end of the Hundred Years War between the French
and English,French nationalism strengthened causing a power increase in the French monarchy. In
1643, Louis XIV succeeds his father as the King of France at the age of five. With the help of his
mother, Anne of Austria, her advisor Cardinal Jules Mazarin, and the late kings chief minister Cardinal
Richelieu, Louis XIV asserts his power through astute diplomacy. Once Louis XIV is able to accept
the throne, he and his chief advisor Jean Baptiste Colbert devise elaborate systems of domestic

the customs and materials that associated with this festival express the identity of Italian cultural
heritage celebrated by the people there. For example, all the foods served and sold during the festival
consist of Italian delicacies, and there are also Italian folk bands playing instruments and singing their
folk songs. In addition to that, the music played can also be a personal attribute to someone that
identified its owner. For example, it is said in the documentary that there was a time where a man used

Besides, there are no specific costumes for the spectators as it looks like the spectators from the
documentary did not wear anything specific like masks to the festival. However, we can see that the
brass band and all the men that carried the statue on their shoulder have to wear something similar. For
example, the brass band wears red hats and white shirts, while the men wear white hats, shirts and
shoes as a symbol of unity. There is also a verbal folklore present, known as a legend that talk about
the history of St. Paulino and why they celebrated this festival. One man from the documentary said

I Had Joined A Bollywood Dance Team Essay
Back in 2013, I had joined a Bollywood Dance team. I had always loved dancing, and the team always
allowed me to show my love and appreciation towards dance and to embrace my Indian culture and
heritage. I was a part of it for two years and met some incredible people. It was safe to say that I made
friends on this team that would last a lifetime. A couple of my best friends from the team, Vishal and
Rajan, had started attending UCR in Fall 2015, and through them, I learned a lot about the Indian
dance teams on campus. They happened to join one their freshmen year too. It was called UCRaas.
They had a memorable freshmen year, competed in competitions across the country, and had
experiences similar to the ones we shared with our old dance team. They were a part of UCRaas even
though it was not a similar dance form to what we had all been a part of. UCRaas was a Raas Garba
team. Raas is a traditional folk dance, originating from the state of Gujarat of western India, that can
be traced back to the time of Lord Krishna and has to do with the religious festival of Navratri, a
Hindu celebration of worshiping the Goddess Durga. There are two forms of Raas. One is called
Garba Raas, which is danced in a large circle continuously, with each step being delivered in a two to
three count rhythm. The second is called Dandiya Raas. This Raas form involves baton like sticks
called dandiyas. It consists of two circles, in which partners dance together in a series of specific
counts.

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Binary Options Demo Account
correctrade.com What is a binary options demo account? August 3rd, 2016
Headline: What is a binary options demo account?
Binary options trading is fairly straightforward and even a newbie can learn it in a short time.
However, owing to general volatility of the financial markets, it s risky for an inexperienced trader to
make a substantial amount of deposit and start trading for real. For that reason, many platforms have a
binary options demo account in place in order to provide the traders a risk free environment for
trading. A demo account is indispensable for a new trader as it requires no upfront commitment.
Types of trading accounts

Thus, when they start trading for real, they are well prepared and quickly adapt to the constantly
changing environment of the financial markets.
Disadvantages of a demo account
Although a demo account is indispensable for the traders, it has a few disadvantages as well.
Taking unnecessary risks A demo account comes with a large amount of practice money, even up to
$100,000. Naturally, this tends to encourage a trader to take some unnecessary risks which he would
totally avoid if it was his actual investment. The risk taking behaviour develops into a habit and can
lead to the depletion of an entire trading account as soon as the trader begins trading for real.
Unrealistic expectations Even if a trader executes a series of successful trades using a binary options
demo account, he might not be able to replicate the same level of success in a real account. Markets
and asset trends change constantly because various macroeconomic and political factors are at play.
Therefore, placing successful trades require careful and constant analysis of the trends over extended

Crow Lake Essay
Introduction
The Canadian novel Crow Lake by Mary Lawson, published in 2002, was awarded in Canada as First
Novel Award in the same year it was published and won the McKitterick Prize in 2003. The author
Mary Lawson was born and brought up in a small farming community in southern Ontario. After
graduating from McGill University, she moved to England in 1968. She still lives there with her
husband and sons, though she returns to Canada every year. The story took place in a small town
called Crow lake in northern Ontario. In this book Kate Morrison, the main character, leads the reader
through her journey for healing from past mistakes dealing with her family. At the beginning, Kate
who is seven, and her siblings Luke, Matt, and Bo, experienced a tough time surviving after their
parents were killed in a car crash, which impacted them for the rest of their lives. Setting
The setting of the novel starts in Northern Ontario. This is important to the author, Mary Lawson,
because the elegance of the countryside inspired her to set her novel setting there. When Katie
Morrison grows up, the setting change to Toronto because she wanted to become a zoologist. One of
the things that led to the significance of setting to the plot is the ponds, because they were full of Kate
s memory about childhood and family. They were her favorite places before she grew up. As Kate

America As A Melting Pot
As soon as someone calls the United States a melting pot, I immediately picture the School House
Rock music video in which hundreds of happy immigrants dive into the pot to swim together in
harmony. The idea of America as a melting pot is, on the surface, a good intentioned metaphor that
carries with it the implication of our unity within one, uniquely American culture. Unfortunately, this
metaphor carries negative connotations as well, including forced assimilation into the majority as you
melt away into the mix. Imagine five pieces of chocolate, one white, added to a heated saucepan;
eventually, it all turns brown. Despite the multiplicity of cultures added to this melting pot, something
is lost in the final product: diversity. In a melting pot, it is suggested that we blend together; we are
indistinct; we are Americans united in one culture, one language, one creed. Simply stated, this is not
an accurate representation of our country s culture or its citizens. I find the stew to be a much more
appropriate metaphor. Even when heated and stirred, a stew maintains its individual elements
(potatoes, beef, onions, carrots, celery, etc.), but also allows for some transfer of flavors. The beef
flavor is infused with notes of carrot and onion; the carrots have the added flavors of the broth and
beef. The stew continues to have unique, individual elements, but it tastes better in tangent with other
flavors. This is a more fitting description of America, as citizens

The Length And Vertical Jump Test
Introduction
A vertical jump test is used, both by athletes and the general public, to determine a variety of
functional actions. For example, it is commonly used to determine the development of elastic leg
strength (Mackenzie, B., 2007), jumping ability and it may even be used to asses recovery prior to or
post training (Baggett, K., 2004). In this investigation, the vertical jump test is being used to determine
whether there is any correlation between leg length and vertical jump height. The vertical jump,
sometimes known as the Sargent jump test, can either be performed from standing as is in this
investigation, or as a running vertical jump test which allows a run up prior to the jump.
To perform a vertical jump, there is both hip and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Then, using the tape measure, the length of the leg was measured from the hip to the heel of the foot.
The length of the leg was then recorded. The participant raised their hand and the vertical leap test
equipment was adjusted accordingly. The participant then jumped and hit the measuring component of
the vertical jump equipment (see diagram 2) and the height reached was recorded. This process was
then repeated a further three times for each participant.
Ethical And Safety Considerations
The primary safety concern during this investigation was injury due to the nature of the investigation
and improper use of the equipment. There was potential for muscle injury during the phase in which
the participant was jumping, and improper use of the equipment could potentially have caused injury
such as concussion. As a precaution, the investigation was conducted in a location where first aid
officers were available and the equipment was placed on a level surface and the participants were told
how to use the equipment.
Participation in this investigation was voluntary, all results were kept anonymous and the participants

Parallel universes
Is our universe unique? From science fiction to science fact, there is a proposal out there that suggests
that there could be other universes besides our own, where all the choices you made in this life played
out in alternate realities. So, instead of turning down that job offer that took you from the United
States to China, the alternate universe would show the outcome if you decided to venture to Asia
instead.
The idea is pervasive in comic books and movies. For example, in the 2009 Star Trek reboot, the
premise is that the Kirk and Spock portrayed by Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto are in an alternate
timeline apart from the William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy versions of the characters.
The concept is known as a parallel universe, and is a facet of the astronomical theory of the
multiverse. There actually is quite a bit of evidence out there for a multiverse. First, it is useful to
understand how our universe is believed to have come to

Air For Band Analysis
Band Air for Band Frank Erickson Grade 2 This classic of band literature has beautiful melodies.
While it appears simple on the surface, it offers a wonderful opportunity to teach bands about long
legato phrasing and balance. This piece is mainly in the key of C Minor. There are many syncopated
entrances, providing an excellent opportunity to work with students on developing an internal beat.
Blue Ridge Saga James Swearingen Grade 2 This piece includes a variety of meter (including 6/8) and

Othello Illusion Vs Reality Essay
Every day we are constantly meeting new people and with meeting new people comes new
personalities. Some may be our friend while others may be hypocritical. But at the end true colors are
revealed. Illusion verses reality is one of the many themes expressed in Othello by William
Shakespeare. There are many examples shown through the character Othello where the misconception
of illusion and reality leads to misfortune. This is displayed when Othello develops an outrageous
jealousy due to Iago manipulating him, or when there s irrelevant hatred created between Othello and
Cassio because of these manipulations. When Iago s schemes work it fools Othello s gullible
personality, resulting in him doubting his love for Desdemona. William Shakespeare ... Show more

Due to Iago s perception of Othello being naïve, Iago uses his phenomenal understanding of the
human psyche as his ability to orchestrate pre planned scenarios. Iago is successfully and carefully
able to manipulate Othello s thoughts into thinking Desdemona has been unfaithful and that it was
false love. I called my love false love, but what he said then? (IV, iii, 59) This is significant because
Desdemona is beginning to realize that the love Othello had for her must have been false she s worried
that Othello will leave her. Due to Othello s inability to differentiate between delusion and reality it s
bringing forth disaster leading to their relationship suffering. Othello being able to trust people easily
allowed Iago s words to manipulate him into making a tremendously poor decision which was killing
Desdemona. Put out the light, and then put out the light, (V,ii, 7) This quote is paramount because
Othello blows out the candle just before he strangles Desdemona which symbolizes Desdemona s
fragile life and because he is so manipulated by Iago there is no turning back and he is ready to kill
her. Othello muses that the difference between Desdemona s life and a candle s light is that he can put
out and relight the candle but he cannot bring Desdemona back to life. The thought of not being able
to bring Desdemona back to life did not stop him from murdering Desdemona,

two weeks building a single feature. He only moves to another feature once the current feature works,

such feature must be reviewed by at least 3 other people and get their consent to merge into the master

The middle colonies had many varying motives for founding, religious, economic foundations, and

A Literary Analysis Of The Jaunt By Stephen King
The Jaunt The jaunt by Stephen King is a science fiction short story. It was first published in The
Twilight Zone Magazine in 1981 . The story takes place early in the 24th century, when the
technology for teleportation, also called Jaunting is allowing for transportation across enormous
distances, even to other planets in the solar system, and that is what the Jaunt is about. The story
contains two parallel running storylines. One that is written in the present and one that is written in the
past. The first storyline is the father Mark Oates, who is telling his family a story about the Jaunt, and
how it was invented. This storyline is written in the present. The other storyline is where, we are

In this text there is no Antagonist, because there is not any bad guy. The minor characters are Mark s
family. They are less important characters, but they still play an important part in the meaning of the
story. The text consists of a dialogue between Mark Oates and his two kids Ricky and Patricia. Mark is
telling them how the Jaunt is working. He is trying to explain, how the scientist Victor Carune
discovered, that you must be a sleep, when you are being transported, after he had tested it on mice. If
you are a wake, the jaunting will then feel longer than the 0,067 seconds, it normally takes, when you
are jaunting , but Mark forgot to tell, what s really going to happen to you. This dialogue is important
to understand to get the point of the story, because in most of the text Mark is speaking to his family.
Human VS Technology is the theme in the text. Mark s son Ricky was awake, when the family was
going through the Jaunt, which resulted in the fact that he got crazy and acted strange, like the mice
Victor Carune used to test the Jaunt with. Ricky wanted to see the travel to Mars, so he challenged the
technology, though he knew, it was dangerous and lost . Also because the whole story is about people
and technology, and if those two things are mixed, then incredible thinks can happen like the

who suffered from epilepsy as a Hmong child who born on July 19, 1982, in Merced, California.
Being the fourteenth child of Foua Yang and Nao Kao Lee, Lia Lee was their favorite daughter. They
spoiled her and treated her like a princess; believed that her epilepsy marked her as special; and that
she might someday become a shaman, which is a person regards as having access to. Because of their

Perspectives
From the perspective of the social worker Jeanine Hilt, systems perspective could be used to assess
Lia Lee, her family or those in the community of the book. System perspective sees human behavior
as the outcome of reciprocal interactions of persons operating within linked social systems
(Hutchison, 2013). When reading this book at the beginning, one may have thought of it as a story
about the collision of two cultures a story about Lia Lee, Foua Yang and Nao Kao Lee, Neil Ernst and
Peggy Philp, and Jeanine Hilt rather than Lia Lee s story. The lives of Lia Lee, Foua Yang and Nao
Kao Lee, Neil Ernst and Peggy Philp, and Jeanine Hilt were interrelated. In addition, the influences of
one and another s behavior had impacted the overall well being of Lia Lee. The mutual roles of
caregiver parents and caregiver doctors had to keep adjusting their roles to accommodate changing
care needs. For example, the Lees believed in a little medicine and a little neeb for treating Lia s

Analysis Of The Movie Iceman The Neanderthal
Neanderthal Prejudice
Elizabeth Armistead When humans encounter other humans, we tend to treat them differently.
Whether it s because of cultural barriers, language barriers, or something as trivial as skin color, we
view some people differently than we view those who share our ethnicity, culture, and values. This is
referred to as racism or prejudice and it is still an active problem in the world today. But although
people can differ greatly when it comes to culture or appearance, we share most of our genes. Our
closest related (and now extinct) ancestor, the Neanderthal, can be viewed in similar terms. Their
culture differed from ours now as modern humans, but surprisingly the genomes of humans and
Neanderthals are 99.84% identical (Gibbons). However, based on our history of bias, if Neanderthals
were alive today, we would no doubt treat them differently, if not inferior, to modern humans.
In the movie Iceman the Neanderthal, Charlie, was caged in a room that resembled a natural terrain
while he was subject to the studies that were performed on him including the monitoring of his speech
patterns. But in this movie, he was portrayed as very human like and had multiple interactions with
Dr. Shephard, an anthropologist who also became his friend. Dr. Shephard and Dr. Brady represented
the two angles from which treatment of a Neanderthal in today s world could be perceived. Dr.
Shephard, who is a scientist, was very interested in the behaviors of Charlie. But he was more

Characteristics And Weaknesses Of An Enterprise...
1. Given our studies of EA frameworks you are to identify five different criteria by which you can
assess the strengths and weaknesses of the: TOGAF, FEA, LightWeight and Zachman framework. (50
points)
Enterprise Architecture is an all inclusive approach to managing the complexity of IT from a business
viewpoint. A framework is used to help describe how to create and use an EA, in a manner that
delivers business benefit in a cost effective way. Each framework has a different approach to adding
value to the business. These criteria will identify the ways an enterprise architecture framework adds
business value, how adaptability and flexibility effect the overall adoption of an enterprise architecture
framework, how the deliverables contribute to the success of an enterprise architecture, how does each
framework take a strategic approach to reduce complexity of enterprise architecture, and how the
framework encompasses the Software Development Lifecycle.
The Zachman Framework considers that there may be different perspectives, however, each
perspective considers the requirements of the other and the restraints those may impose. It also allows
for different levels of complexity, depth, and breadth of details for each cell of the matrix based upon
the importance to a given organization. The Zachman Framework can be used to set standards and is
also easy to use with other tools and methodologies. TOGAF offers flexibility and is easily adaptable
for any organization. It

A challenge that faces both Canadian cinema and women s cinema is the idea of the male gaze. The
film industry is a phallocentric institution that since its inception has always faced the problem of
objectifying women. As well Canada has faced similar problems long before the existence of film in
the form of the colonial gaze, with attempts from both Britain and France to take what Canada had to

The Black American Symbol Of Courage, Tenacity, And Gallantry
Relentless Forced into submission and depravity without regard is callous and immoral. One cannot
expect an individual to remain loyal to their beliefs if they have been sabotaged and casted off as
frivolous and mediocre. Kunta Kinte, from the 1977 miniseries, Roots, proved this notion to be untrue.
Through oppression and brutality, he still held tightly to his convictions without pause or hesitation.
He refused to conform to the restrictive regulations of his superiors even though this caused immense
turmoil and distress. Kunta Kinte is the Black American symbol of courage, tenacity, and gallantry
because he depicted strength, regardless of the adversities that plighted him. In the spring of 1750,
Allah granted life to Kunta Kinte. Kunta was the first son of Omoro and Binta Kinte. Kunta and his
relatives belonged to the Mandinka tribe, Juffure, in The Gambia. The Juffure members adhered
rigidly to the sacred text of the Quran. Kunta s childhood was full of wonder and joy. When he was a
child he aided his elders, attend to the needs of his family, and morphed into a dutiful student. He
adored his mother and patterned his behavior after his father who he respected and admired. His days
consisted of tending to goats, farming groundnuts, couscous, and cotton. A lion attacted one of his

Casa Valentina By Harvey Fierstein
Casa Valentina by Harvey Fierstein. The play certainly was not what I expected once I saw it live.
Before going to see it and writing this paper, I decided to do some research on both of the plays to see
if I could get a better understanding of them. As a result, I decided on Casa Valentina because it was
about a topic that I was unfamiliar with. The play is set in the early 1960s when men would go to the
Catskill Mountains and escape. But escape what? In this play, they would escape being men. Seeing
the photographic oddness of men being dressed in little neat dresses has always been a source of
comedy and a favorite in theatre. This play is no different. The play was also a huge success, being
nominated for multiple awards, including four Tony s and winning other awards. With this in mind, I
thought I was ready to view the play. What the playwright was trying to say about life is that everyone
is different. It raised universal questions of who am I? What is my identity? To what are the
differences in gender identity and sexual orientation? It truly posed some fascinating questions about
these identities. It even provoked the question of what ensues in matrimony when one of the partners
begins to represent both genders. What happens? Is one simply cut off? Is there room for them both? It
brings out the central conflict of illusion versus reality in my eyes. This is because these are grown
adult men, married with a spouse of the opposite sex. Yet in spite of all this,

Jewish Contributions to the Early Civil Rights Movement
In many ways, the 1950s planted the seeds for the progress of the 60s. Glimpses of the rebellious
generation, who would later find its way to the anti War protests, are found throughout the fifties,
specifically in movies like Rebel Without a Cause and more overtly in Jack Kerouac?s On The Road.
The move away from conformity and towards more of an individualistic mentality began in the
somewhat closed circles of the Beat movement and spread throughout America during the sixties. The
Montgomery Bus Boycotts and Brown V. Board of Education were great precursors to the
revolutionary civil rights legislation of the mid sixties. Whereas for most of the aforementioned

Martin Luther King Jr. took the helm of the Montgomery Improvement Association, which was in

the new TV medium of the 1950s, King was able to reach millions more. The contrast of innocent
Blacks against the antagonistic White policemen of the South struck a chord with the liberal
Americans of the North. Playing on progressive ideals, King captured the attention of the left leaning
Americans, specifically those who found it difficult to express themselves in the federally hunted

King, a religious man himself, frequently alluded to Biblical stories and themes. Instead of talking
about the resurrection of Jesus and other themes which divided Christians and Jews, King focused on
the Old Testament and the common values found in both religions. King himself declared that, I draw
not from Marxism or any other secular philosophy but from the prophets of Israel; from their passion

concentrated on the shared belief of a compassionate God, as he once told a Rabbi, You and I draw

harmful to others. Many professors are now pushing for trigger warnings as a way to warn students
that ideas within their material could offend or emotionally harm them. While they are being
implemented across the country, their effects on students are proving to be more harmful than helpful
because they often hinder students education rather than further develop it. Applying trigger warnings
may cause professors to choose to negatively alter their material in order to attempt to teach it without
offending his or her students. In the article Survey ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They allow a colleges to coddle students. One instance of this can come from the article Con: Trigger
Warnings Impose Censorship in the Name of Sensitivity. Donald A. Downs, author and professor of
political science, law, and journalism at the University of Wisconsin, explains how trigger warnings
can negatively affect students. Downs states, Education should expose students to the depths of the
human condition, which unavoidably involves matters of good and evil, life and death. He then
claims, Trigger warnings assume that many students are not capable of handling the responsibilities of
adult citizenship. Students cannot possibly be expected to mentally or emotionally grow when they are
constantly being sheltered from the real world and all of its sometimes painful disputes. Trigger
warnings cater to the sensitive students and grant them no room to grow up on their own. Many
colleges are being overwhelmed by the positive effects that may come with trigger warnings, they
should heavily consider the negative ones as well. Enforcing trigger warnings in hopes of furthering
college education would unleash a surge of flaws into a school. Though trigger warnings may have
few upsides, if put into action they will prove themselves to be destructive to a school s learning

  • 2. A Study On Image Detection Chapter 3. Image Detection 1. Introduction Using right algorithm, can make image sensor sense or detect practically anything. Image sensors are one of the important sensors been used in robotics industry because they are so flexible, but there are two drawbacks with these kind of sensors: 1)they output lots of data, dozens of megabytes per second, and 2) processing this amount of data can overwhelm many processors. And even if the processor can keep up with the data, much of its processing power won t be available for other tasks. Pixy cmucam5 solved these two problems by intelligent way, it faced and solved these problems by paring a powerful dedicated processor with the image sensor. Now pixy can processes images from the image sensor and only sends the useful information (e.g. position of object been assigned before by giving its x and y orientation) to whatever microcontroller you have. This microcontroller then use this data as input then process it to the actuators. Pixy does this data analyzing and processing at rate (50Hz). And information which processed by pixy can available through several interfaces: UART serial, SPI, I2C, digital out, or analog out. So it is easy to communicate with pixy with Arduino or any other microcontroller and at the same time still have a very large or plenty of CPU available for other tasks. RQ 1 Bureaucracy is part of the organizational structure that implements a hierarchy of management. It brings managers together with various skills, experiences, and goals (Bateman, Snell, Konopaske, p. 34). Bureaucracy operates with rules and regulations. Through progressive studies, more and more in this area is being made possible. Genetic engineering may be one of the greatest inventions in recent history along with the discovery of the atom and space flight, however, governments have produced legislation to control what sort of experiments are done involving genetic engineering. In the UK there are strict laws prohibiting any experiments involving the cloning of humans. However, over the years here are some of the experimental breakthroughs made possible by genetic engineering. * At the Roslin Institute in Scotland, scientists successfully cloned an exact copy of a sheep, named Dolly . This was the first successful cloning of an animal, and most likely the first occurrence of two organisms being genetically identical. Note : Recently the sheep s health has deteriorated detrimentally * Scientists successfully manipulated the genetic sequence

Moreover, more than half of South Africa s population had no access to a bank account. This was largely because half of the population lived below the poverty line, and banks, understandably, were not eager to serve a moneyless customer base. Banks find it an unprofitable proposition to serve people who make less than three dollars per day, Rangan says. Still, WIZZIT s founders thought there was a noble and viable business model in bringing banking to the poor, via a mobile banking platform that could be used on even the most primitive cell phone. They succeeded in finding an engineer to develop the platform, but quickly ran into a major regulatory roadblock. Per the South African government, only licensed banks were allowed to take deposits. The cost of a license was the equivalent of $34 million a hefty fee for a startup and the South African Reserve Bank was wary of issuing new permits. Along with the rotating viewpoints, the two stories being told, by Amy and Nick, happen at different times through the collective story. I usually dislike this writing method, but in this plot, I think it works well. I like that the two do not tell the same story from different perspectives but rather one tells the story and the other follows with a background perspective that gives some insight as to the reasoning behind the actions and motives of the characters in the present. In the case of this book, Nick is narrating the investigation of Amy s disappearance as chapters of Amy s diary chronicle the past relationship between the two counterparts. The two perspectives complement each other, but neither spoil the storyline, as dual perspective books tend to do. For example, Amy often gives us accounts from Nick and Amy s early relationship. One of the most noted academies in history is the French Royal Academy of Art. Originating in the 17th century, the Royal Acad{ e}mie was used as a weapon in the struggle for political and social power. This was done by creating a clear line between what was art and what was craft, providing education to a select few who produced approved work, and eliminating the competition by exhibiting only Academic endorsed artwork. Understanding the foundations on which the Royal Acad{ e}mie was built on provides a gateway into clarifying their practices and ultimately their downfall in the 20th century. When the Acad{ e}mie became tied with The Salon, young artists could find themselves promoted to prominence through patronage connections and collectively seek protection of artistic interests (Rosenfeld). America As A Melting Pot As soon as someone calls the United States a melting pot, I immediately picture the School House Rock music video in which hundreds of happy immigrants dive into the pot to swim together in harmony. The idea of America as a melting pot is, on the surface, a good intentioned metaphor that carries with it the implication of our unity within one, uniquely American culture. Unfortunately, this metaphor carries negative connotations as well, including forced assimilation into the majority as you melt away into the mix. Imagine five pieces of chocolate, one white, added to a heated saucepan; eventually, it all turns brown. Despite the multiplicity of cultures added to this melting pot, something is lost in the final product: diversity. In a melting pot, it is suggested that we blend together; we are indistinct; we are Americans united in one culture, one language, one creed. Simply stated, this is not an accurate representation of our country s culture or its citizens. I find the stew to be a much more appropriate metaphor. Even when heated and stirred, a stew maintains its individual elements (potatoes, beef, onions, carrots, celery, etc.), but also allows for some transfer of flavors. The beef flavor is infused with notes of carrot and onion; the carrots have the added flavors of the broth and beef. The stew continues to have unique, individual elements, but it tastes better in tangent with other flavors. This is a more fitting description of America, as citizens ... He is trying to explain, how the scientist Victor Carune discovered, that you must be a sleep, when you are being transported, after he had tested it on mice. If you are a wake, the jaunting will then feel longer than the 0,067 seconds, it normally takes, when you are jaunting , but Mark forgot to tell, what s really going to happen to you. This dialogue is important to understand to get the point of the story, because in most of the text Mark is speaking to his family. Human VS Technology is the theme in the text. Mark s son Ricky was awake, when the family was going through the Jaunt, which resulted in the fact that he got crazy and acted strange, like the mice Victor Carune used to test the Jaunt with. • 34. Analysis Of The Movie Iceman The Neanderthal Neanderthal Prejudice Elizabeth Armistead When humans encounter other humans, we tend to treat them differently. Whether it s because of cultural barriers, language barriers, or something as trivial as skin color, we view some people differently than we view those who share our ethnicity, culture, and values. This is referred to as racism or prejudice and it is still an active problem in the world today. But although people can differ greatly when it comes to culture or appearance, we share most of our genes. Our closest related (and now extinct) ancestor, the Neanderthal, can be viewed in similar terms. Their culture differed from ours now as modern humans, but surprisingly the genomes of humans and Neanderthals are 99.84% identical (Gibbons). However, based on our history of bias, if Neanderthals were alive today, we would no doubt treat them differently, if not inferior, to modern humans. In the movie Iceman the Neanderthal, Charlie, was caged in a room that resembled a natural terrain while he was subject to the studies that were performed on him including the monitoring of his speech patterns. But in this movie, he was portrayed as very human like and had multiple interactions with Dr. Shephard, an anthropologist who also became his friend. Dr. Shephard and Dr. Brady represented the two angles from which treatment of a Neanderthal in today s world could be perceived. Dr. Shephard, who is a scientist, was very interested in the behaviors of Charlie. But he was more ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Given our studies of EA frameworks you are to identify five different criteria by which you can assess the strengths and weaknesses of the: TOGAF, FEA, LightWeight and Zachman framework. (50 points) Enterprise Architecture is an all inclusive approach to managing the complexity of IT from a business viewpoint. A framework is used to help describe how to create and use an EA, in a manner that delivers business benefit in a cost effective way. Each framework has a different approach to adding value to the business. These criteria will identify the ways an enterprise architecture framework adds business value, how adaptability and flexibility effect the overall adoption of an enterprise architecture framework, how the deliverables contribute to the success of an enterprise architecture, how does each framework take a strategic approach to reduce complexity of enterprise architecture, and how the framework encompasses the Software Development Lifecycle. The Zachman Framework considers that there may be different perspectives, however, each perspective considers the requirements of the other and the restraints those may impose. It also allows for different levels of complexity, depth, and breadth of details for each cell of the matrix based upon the importance to a given organization. The Zachman Framework can be used to set standards and is also easy to use with other tools and methodologies. TOGAF offers flexibility and is easily adaptable for any organization. It ... • 38. The Black American Symbol Of Courage, Tenacity, And Gallantry Relentless Forced into submission and depravity without regard is callous and immoral. One cannot expect an individual to remain loyal to their beliefs if they have been sabotaged and casted off as frivolous and mediocre. Kunta Kinte, from the 1977 miniseries, Roots, proved this notion to be untrue. Through oppression and brutality, he still held tightly to his convictions without pause or hesitation. He refused to conform to the restrictive regulations of his superiors even though this caused immense turmoil and distress. Kunta Kinte is the Black American symbol of courage, tenacity, and gallantry because he depicted strength, regardless of the adversities that plighted him. Before going to see it and writing this paper, I decided to do some research on both of the plays to see if I could get a better understanding of them. As a result, I decided on Casa Valentina because it was about a topic that I was unfamiliar with. The play is set in the early 1960s when men would go to the Catskill Mountains and escape. But escape what? In this play, they would escape being men. Seeing the photographic oddness of men being dressed in little neat dresses has always been a source of comedy and a favorite in theatre. This play is no different. The play was also a huge success, being nominated for multiple awards, including four Tony s and winning other awards. With this in mind, I thought I was ready to view the play. What the playwright was trying to say about life is that everyone is different. It raised universal questions of who am I? What is my identity? To what are the differences in gender identity and sexual orientation? It truly posed some fascinating questions about these identities. It even provoked the question of what ensues in matrimony when one of the partners begins to represent both genders. What happens? Is one simply cut off? Is there room for them both? It brings out the central conflict of illusion versus reality in my eyes. This is because these are grown adult men, married with a spouse of the opposite sex. Yet in spite of all this, ... The move away from conformity and towards more of an individualistic mentality began in the somewhat closed circles of the Beat movement and spread throughout America during the sixties.
