Research Paper On Lyme Disease
Many people look forward to the spring and summer months because they get to go back out into
nature. Swimming, hiking, and fishing are just some of the outdoor activities that many people
enjoy this time of year. Unfortunately when the weather warms, the deer ticks come out and with
them come Lyme disease.
Lyme disease has been a problem for those living in and around the New England area for the last
few decades. Unfortunately, researchers have just discovered that the deer ticks are expanding their
reach, with a surge over 320 percent. The ticks are slowly branching out into the connecting
counties and states. It is believed that they are branching out due to climate change.
Lyme disease is a disease that is carried specifically by the

Ben Jonson Research Paper
Ojoko 1
The many roles of Ben Jonson
Ben Jonson, one of Elizabethan England s greatest writers, led a life filled with social and
religious alterations. Ben Jonson played different roles during his time, he was a scholar, a solider,
a bricklayer, a husband, and a father, but the most important role Ben Jonsonplayed was a poet. He
was a skillful writer and one of the finest Greek scholars of his day. Many people of his own time
considered him to be as good a writer as Shakespeare or better. In most of his plays, Jonson
personified the four humors or bodily fluids (blood, phlegm, yellow bile, and black ... Show more

In The Alchemist, Ben Jonson illustrates to the audience their own weakness when they try to be
something they are not. Ben Jonson shows the desire for truth is to be stronger than the thousand
false wishes Ojoko 5 people reach for. In the end, false desires are exposed as a dream by the
forces of reality (Barish 106). In The Alchemist there are distinctions between the characters. The
humors and dupes are themes that are continual in the play. The Alchemist himself is an agent of
comic reversals. The themes obvious in the play are wits, urbane, knaves, and humors. In the play,
order is kept neat, and the effect is pleasant throughout (Barish

Synthesis, Recrystallization of ОІ D Glucose Pentaacetate from its Original D Glucose and it
comparison with literature though Melting point, TLC, IR, 1H and 13C NMR
Abstract:
The synthesis of the product: ОІ D glucose pentaacetate is done though the acetylation using acetic
anhydride with D glucose with the help of sodium acetate. The recrystallization of the product is
done though a polar solvent like water. The Result of this experiment has a percentage yield of
61% and analytical methods that are to detect the products are 1H NMR, 13 C NMR, COSY, FTIR
(IR), Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) and Melting point.

In order to yield more of the ОІ glucose pentaacetate, the precursor: ОІ glucose must be present as
much within the mixture in which the sodium acetate comes in to play, Sodium acetate will allow
the rotation of the hydroxyl of the anomeric carbon to its equatorial position whereas a strong
acid will do the reverse process: Reverse to it axial position. Based on the study by Perles et al.
2008, the equatorial structure of ОІ glucose pentaacetate and it respective interactions with a polar
solvent such as water used in this experiment provided more stability and when glucose
pentaacetate recrystallizes, a larger amount of ОІis shown to be a perfect fit in the three
dimensional structure clusters within water. The О± glucose doesn t as it is more sterically
hindered and disturbs the three dimensional arrangement of water which is the less stable in an
aqueous solution. The studies also find that at higher temperatures, there is a shift of ratio between

Single Camera Conventions
A single camera production is the use one single camera to film all of the diverse shots. An
advantage of single camera production is the flexibility with shots due to other cameras not being in
the frame and also the low budget. On the other hand, single camera production comes with
disadvantages such as being time consuming and difficult to consistently reposition; furthermore if
the camerais damaged all work may be lost. Within this essay, I will be discussing the elements in
which make up a single camera production along with indicating an understanding of the codes and
conventions that relate to this area of media.

Mistreatment Of Minors
Social Justice warriors come by the hundreds and thousands storming new channels, blogs, and any
other form of media to say our school system does not do us justice. After further searching of
where all this goes wrong I now claim that school systems mistreatment of young adults specifically
is rooted deeper within the foundation of most of this country than most people suspect. Simply,
there needs to be a change within our rights or lack thereof.
By lack thereof I mean none. Minor s have no rights and i understand that is sort of the point they
believe you are maturing not yet mature I guess is the thought process. While that seems like good
judgment at the surface the group of kids considered minors start at seconds old and end at

Sql Vs. Oracle Server
SQL vs. Oracle Server
Dheeraj Balamoori
Wilmington University Abstract
Databases are most paramount part in today s organizations. In the event that the servers are down
for quite a while and data is not accessible there would be enormous misfortune to the organization
regarding income and good will. Thus, databases play an essential part in today s business. There
are various relational database management systems (RDBMS) like Microsoft Access, Sybase,
MySQL and oracle but out of all databases Oracle and MS SQL are the widely used applications
throughout the globe. Oracle databases are unique for having large and abnormal state abilities to
handle the circumstances like data inaccessibility, support issues, information and system failures
and so forth. Microsoft SQL Server database has the usefulness of high information accessibility
and security however is not viable as of Oracle s because it has good depth in high data
availability. As Oracle is having more enterprise applications the databse is used widely for most of
the top financial companies like bank of America, HDFC Bank, National Australia Bank
Introduction
Since their presentation in the 1980s, relational database administration frameworks (RDBMS)
have turned into the standard database sort for an assortment of commercial ventures. As their
name suggests, these systems are focused around the social model that sorts out information into
gatherings of tables alluded to as relations.

Abortion And The Social Aspects Of Abortion
INTRODUCTION
It is estimated almost half of pregnancies in Australia are unplanned . Unexpected pregnancies
happen for various individual, social, economic and political reasons . The World Health
Organisation (WHO) approximates one in three women in Australia will have an abortion
procedure in their life . Abortion data is only gathered by South Australia, Western Australia and
the Northern Territory. However, South Australia is the only state to publish data and report
findings annually. Abortion is a heavy topic which has the nation spilt into two groups; pro life
or pro choice. Pro life is in favour of the foetus and they believe that by killing the foetus it is
equivalent to murder. Pro choice is for abortion, as they believe that the woman has the choice to
do what she wants with her body. This report will cover how religion deals with abortion and how
it can clash with modern ethnicity, abortion safety, the repercussions of abortion and the social
aspects of abortion.
RELIGION VS ETHNICITY
Religious communities have had a convoluted history in regards to abortion. The Catholic Church
of Australia states the direct and voluntary killing of an unborn is gravely immoral. No reason,
however serious or tragic, can ever justify the deliberate killing of an innocent human being .
Abortion is not explicitly forbidden within the Bible; as neither the Old nor New Testament
condemns it. As a social norm, however, Catholic s believe that life starts at conception via

Summary Of Ghosts Of Ole Miss

Business Ethics
16 October 2015
Ghosts of Ole Miss Every higher institution of learning has their own set of myths and history.
Some of them may be vaguely true and some may be highly influential. The history of the
institution may have a negative effect on those who look to apply or be a part of the institution.
The history of a place sets the epitome of future enrollees. Some of the ghosts that haunt any college
may have an extremely negative impact on how they are viewed today. This negative perception of
the university can lead to strong economic deficits. Throughout trying to combat negative concepts
that are thrust upon an institution, they have resolved issues of ethics, violence and, to most
importantly, boost cohesion and moral. Throughout this essay, I will be examining the effects of
one of the most controversial university enrollments. James Meredith paved the way for African
American acceptance into a historically all White University. No matter how much adversity
Meredith would encounter, he would not give up or give in to institutional racism. The want to
keep Ole Miss segregated by those there did not hinder his success. In an attempt to end racial
segregation, the Supreme Court ordered the admittance of James Meredith to the campus. This
action was a clear defiance of racial segregation. This resulted in an abundant amount of not only
riots but also casualties. Meredith paved the way for other African Americans

This poem was written by American poet, Emily Dickinson, who was born in the 1800. This
was the period where art was based on emotion; the Romantic Period . She was also born in the
Victorian Era, where women had to be shackled to their pedestals and most had to be married by
age eighteen. They were not allowed to vote, or earn money. This information should help the
reader better understand the poem. When writing the poem My Life had stood a Loaded Gun
Dickinson thought of what format to use to express her emotions; Quatrain (four verses). This
format is used to express deep emotions at any time. She uses lines in her poem that seem the same
but not quite; they are slant rhymes . Dickinson grew up in a time where abolition rose up... Show

The Great Impact On The United Kingdom
The 1930s have been a decade of great changes in the United Kingdom. Three succes sive
National governments left the British People quite lost in terms of leadership, especial ly in
those times of Great Depression. The raising of the taxes and the massive wave of
unemployment led the poor to become even poorer but it also saw the expansion of the middle
class among the society. Indeed, this period saw the falling of prices of goods, the reduction of
the number of large families, the settling of the reduction of working hours and the outbreak of
paid holidays by the Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain which let families in less need.
Moreover, the outbreak of household electrical goods such as televisions or vacuum cleaners
marked the development of the popular culture and, therefore, of the middle class . On the other
hand, the quantity of poor remained massive among the working class and the rising of the
conservative party after the appalling failure of Ramsay MacDonald s government has made a
contribution to it. Those changes stimulated interest from many authors in the postwar literature
and the role of class has been crucial in the wri ting of the period. Between two wars, it was the
end of the birth setting your future. Many people didn t know where they belonged anymore and
trying to figure that out was the aim of most authors. Using their experience in their social classof

Why Is It Important To Block Stitches
Blocking and Care of Hand Knits
Blocking is an important, and often overlooked step in knitting. Besides setting the size and
shape of a pattern, blocking also enhances slightly uneven stitches, brings lace stitch patterns to
their full potential, straightens, evens out edge stitches for easy and nicer looking seaming and
will also straighten stranded colorwork. Blocking is easy to do and requires minimal supplies to
get the job done. Fibers react differently to blocking and it is good to consider what kind or
project you are knitting to pick the proper fiber that will look its best, and which type of blocking
works best with your fiber and project. Blocking the gauge swatch will give you the look and feel
of your completed project. Blocking is the final step to any handknit. It will shape and size your
project in its permanent size. When knitting lace pieces blocking is just as important as the
knitting, it completely transforms the work opening the lace stitches to reveal their true beauty. In
the same way blocking opens the lace patterns, it will also even out any stitches that may be slightly

The Evolution Of Poverty During The Civil War
THE EVOLUTION OF POVERTY IN AMERICA
Missy Worrells
Modern History 1073
November 19, 2014
The Evolution of Poverty in America Poverty is a hardship that has existed in every milestone of
American history. War impacted the economy of the country after the Civil War. The twentieth
century would see wars, natural disasters, and economical depressions that contributed to the
developing culture of poverty. Poverty in any time period is a shattering experience. While being
poor during the Reconstruction, the Great Depression, and the Civil Rights movement were each
devastating, the nature of poverty would evolve as the culture of each decade evolved. The
character of poverty changed most dramatically over the years through Americans perception of
standards of living and the government s response to poverty. War always has a major impact on
the economy of a country. The Civil War threw the South into poverty. America had been divided
by the Civil War and needed to find a way to heal the rift. The way to do this seemed to be for the
South to shift to industry, like the North. During the 1880s, Henry W. Grady promoted the concept
of the New South that would be modeled on the industry of the North. He and his supporters
promoted education and industrialization as the way to rebuild the South. The southern states
would grow tobacco and cotton, and expand their textile industry. Yet the South was still was not
prospering.
Southerners had to adjust to a new

Minorities Affected By Civil And Equal Rights
Minorities Affected by Civil and Equal Rights The Times They Are A Changin is a lyrical poem
written by Bob Dylan. The Fear of Losing a Culture is an auto biographical essay written by
Richard Rodriguez. Both of these literary works have a shared theme of change and social

well as differences between the two works. The shared theme of change for these two works is the
change that is taking place in America concerning black Americans and civil rights in The Times

from 2014 to 2024, much faster than the average for all occupations (Bureau of Labor Statistics).
After graduating from high schoolnext May, I plan to major in Engineering, and then go on to
Medical School in order to become a Neurosurgeon. After taking both the Gardner s Intelligence
test and Myers Briggs personality inventory, I discovered new things about myself that I never
knew before, and I believe that this new knowledge will help me excel in my dream of becoming
a doctor. My highest score on the Gardner s Intelligence test came in the Logical/Mathematical
category. This score makes perfect sense for me because I enjoy math and science classes.
Additionally, I use logic and math almost everyday because of my participation on Southview s
Science Olympiad team. In order to achieve my degree in engineering and then medical school, I
will go though countless math and science classes. These classes take a tremendous amount of
work and dedication, and I believe that my high logical/mathematical score prepares me well for
the challenge. My next highest score came in the Intrapersonal category. While this may seem
counterintuitive for a doctor, a profession in which one work with patients and coworkers, I
believe that this can also help me. I will never try to belabor my patients but

Linville Valley Fire Case Study
Nestled deep in the mountains of Western North Carolina, the Linville Gorge is a federally
designated wilderness area that is part of Pisgah National Forest. This unique slice of southern
Appalachia is managed by the Grandfather Ranger District and is located in the Blue Ridge
Escarpment near the town of Marion, NC. To the east, Linville Gorge is bordered by Jonas
Ridge, and the slopes of Linville Mountain form the western border. The two steep sides create a
terrain that is extremely rugged and rocky, which would seemingly make it difficult for vegetation
to establish communities on the canyon walls. However, this is not the case, as the gorge has very
dense populations of hardwoods, conifers, and understory shrubs. The intimidating topography of
the Linville Gorge Wilderness area enabled it to be... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The fire began as the result of an out of control campfire, and because of high wind and drought
conditions which resulted in low fuel moisture spread relatively quickly for an upland fire in the
southeastern United States, although not to the scale of western wildfires. Even though the 2000
Linville Gorge fire was mainly a surface fire, the fire burned 4,000 hectares of wilderness area, and
forced local management agencies to start paying more attention to upland ecosystems that were
not previously thought to be fire dependent. Considering the magnitude of the fire, it was fortunate
that no human lives or homes were lost in the inferno. Vegetative studies show that Mountain
Laurel (Kalmia latifolia), an evergreen shrub, reproduced much faster than other understory species
(Dumas, Neufeld, Fisk, 2007). This is attributed to its ability to resprout following a fire. The
Linville Gorge Fire has been significant in shaping Southeastern fire mitigation in that it gave
foresters an opportunity to study oak pine forests that had not seen fire for over 50

There is consequently a vast and continuous effort going on to capture our minds in the interest
of some policy or commodity or idea. It might be better to have, instead of propaganda and

Propaganda eat. But we have chosen the opposite method, that of open competition. We must find a
way to make free competition function with reasonable smoothness. To achieve this society has
consented to permit free competition to be organized by leadership and propaganda. Some of the
phenomena of this process are criticized the manipulation of news, the inflation of personality, and
the general ballyhoo by which politicians and commercial products and social ideas are brought to
the consciousness of the masses. The instruments by which public opinion is organized and focused
may be misused. But such organization and focusing are necessary to orderly life. As civilization
has become more complex, and as the need for invisible government has been increasingly
demonstrated, the technical means have been invented and developed by which opinion may be
regimented. With the printing press and the newspaper, the railroad, the telephone, telegraph, radio

New York Emergency Operations Plan
Purpose, Scope, Situation, and Assumptions
The city of New York, in accordance with the Title 47, Chapter 10 on State Disaster Preparedness
Act (1975) is supposed to come up with a plan and prepare for any emergencies and disasters that
are man made or natural or any other hostile activity that involves using weapons of mass
destruction, such as terrorism. This is the New York Emergency Operations Plan (NYEOP) that
recognizes that the local government needs to come up with a plan to handle such emergencies on
behalf of the federal government. This plan acknowledges other agreements where requests can be
made for state assistance that may come from other districts or neighboring cities, or even country

A disaster emergency may become a threat to the United States national security. When a disaster is
a threat to national security, different security procedures and authorities are required to address the
requirements of national security. Such situations lead to a federal response that is to be supported
by the local government.
Situation:
1.An emergency or disaster can occur at any moment, or location within New York with no notice.
Such disasters are bound to lead to a lot of property damage, human suffering, and economic
hardship to the business community, individuals, and governments.
2.Sharing of information is necessary for many government levels, the private sector, and response
community. The people of New York expect the government to provide assistance, guidance and
inform them when an emergency, disaster or a threat occurs in the city of New York.
3.Hazard Analysis: A hazard analysis of the city of New York was determined depending on several
risk factor values that included the duration, warning time, spatial extent, probability, and impact.
The greater risk was determined by a higher risk factor. Some of the human caused, natural, and
technological hazards recorded included landslides, wild fires, earthquakes, canal failure, dams,
landslides, drought, volcanic eruptions, the wind, tornadoes, lightning, severe storms, civil
disturbances, cyber disruptions, radiological and hazardous material (Hoffman,

Theme Of Androgynity In A Room Of One s Own
Miss Austen s works may safely be recommended not only as among the most unexceptionable of
their class, but as combing in an eminent degree, instruction with amusement, though without the
direct effort at the former.......
In these lines Richard Whately describes the superior quality of Jane Austen, the writer. In A Room
Of One s Own Woolf emphasis that William Shakespeare and Jane Austenare the best dramatist and
novelist respectively because of the element of androgynity. The mind of Austen and Shakespeare
had consumed all impediments. They had complete mind . Their minds were never dominated by
either masculine or feminine qualities, but by a combination of the two. To prove this point, Woolf
compares Jane Austen with George Eliot and Charlotte Bronte.
Keywords: Androgynous mind; feminine qualities; impediment; resentment
Introduction: ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The novel presents the image of a woman who is intelligent, independent, kind hearted and above
all, brave enough to say no to the social conventions. Jane has an independent spirit which makes
her declare: I desired liberty; for liberty I gasped; for liberty I uttered a prayer.....
But Charlotte Bronte fails to demonstrate the concept of androgynous mind. In the relationship
between Jane and Mr. Rochester, Jane was a relatively stronger character. At the first time they met,
Jane helped the injured Mr. Rochester and at the end, Jane helped him because of his disability and
blindness. Charlotte Bronte portrays Mr. Rochester in the dark. Jane Eyre is written in the red light
of emotions, not in the white light of truth . Jane tells Edward Rochester, I love you better now,
when I can really be useful to you, than I did in you state of proud independence, when you

Tumour-Associated Macrophages Case Study
2.3.5. Tumour associated macrophages
Macrophages are inherently plastic cells, and this adaptability can be exploited by the tumor to
elicit distinct functions at different stages of tumor progression. Less information is available about
the complexity of individual macrophage activities and their associated molecular profiles in cancer
. Many subpopulations of TAMs exist within a tumor, which probably change temporally during
tumor development and geographically depending upon of their location within the tumor micro
environment. For example, TAMs recruited to hypoxic areas promote tumour angiogenesis,
whereas TAMs at the tumor stroma border play an active part in invasion and angiogenesis.
TAMs produce epidermal growth factor (EGF) that... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Association of cancer cells with TAMs throughout the tumour significantly increases their motility,
this gets further amplified when cancer cells are found in close proximity to perivascular TAMs.
Moreover, cancer cells were observed to invade blood vessels only where perivascular TAMs were
located.
Reduction in macrophage infiltration, lead to concomitant decrease in circulating cancer cells. In
addition, the EGF CSF paracrine loop is also important for intravasation, as blocking either
signaling pathway lead to a significant reduction in the number of blood borne cancer cells.
Cancer cells and macrophages also use collagen fibres as tram lines to rapidly travel through the
stroma. Many of these fibres are tethered to blood vessels, resulting in cancer cells accumulating at
these vessels. The density of these fibres is regulated by macrophages, at least during development.

How American Experience Reflects Global Faith
With the lenses of a good historian, Noll has given us the role American Christianity has played in
the changes that occur in global Christianity today. Terms like American experience , American
Christianity , American Mission , American power , etc., undoubtedly express the American role in
the expansion of Christianity. As they attempted to spread the gospel, Americans, by large,
decontextualized neither their theology nor their understanding of missions. Hence, Noll rightly
described in his book ...How American Experience Reflects Global Faith. Both American
orthodoxy and orthopraxis were taught and reinforced as a golden standard in various parts of the
world.
Church buildings, musical instruments, ministers attire, choir robes, hymns, names of converts,
schools and curriculums had Americans religious, cultural, and economic trademark. The
Christianity that addressed issues of life in the American cultural context was transplanted in
different parts of the world. Unlike the transition of the Hebraic Christianity from the Jewish culture
to the Gentile world in the first century, which developed its own unique theological, cultural, and
leadership identity in a short period of time, the phenomenal growth of Christianity in the majority
world has been largely influenced by the dominance of American Christianity. As the result, we
have Christian faith that is not well anchored on local theology. And to most of the churches in the
majority world, up until recently,

K-Pax Rhetorical Analysis
K Pax is a movie about a man, Prot, who claims to be an alien from the planet K Pax. Admitted to
the Psychiatric Institute of Manhattan, Prot is evaluated as delusional by psychiatrist Mark
Powell. Prot s unwavering ability to answer questions about K Pax and its civilization, however,
leads Dr. Powell to doubt his diagnosis, and he begins to explore Prot s past. There is some
dispute over whether Prot is an alien or a human; both sides have evidence to support their claims
and the movie never resolves the matter. I personally believe that Prot was a human who suffered
from schizophrenia. He is delusional, presents disorganized behavior, and has a hard time
expressing emotion all symptoms of schizophrenia.
I believe Prot to be human because of his three hypnosis sessions. In the first session, Dr. Powell
asks Prot to go back in time as far as he can and tell him about his life. Speaking in a child s voice

The Decline of the Medieval Church at the End of the...
Towards the end of the Middle Ages and into the duration of the Renaissance, the Medieval Church
s social and political power dwindled. Centuries prior the Catholic Church gained a surplus of
control, largely due to the stability it maintained during the chaotic breakdown of the Western
Roman Empire . Yet toward the end of the Middle Agesthe Church set in motion factors that would
ultimately lead to its downfall as the definitive figure of authority. However, despite political and
social controversy surrounding the church, the institutions it established cleared a path for a new
way of thinking, shaping society in an enduring way. The devastating effect of the Crusades
coupled with the spread of the Black Plague launched a changing public view of papal authority.
This resulted in a more analytical mindset creating a foothold for the Renaissanceand Scientific
Revolution . An overtly secular focus took precedence over religious matters and the moral decay
of the Church was called into question. This obsession of secular control is most clearly
exemplified by the Great Schism that took place from 1378 to 1417 . The Great Schism was the
result of the Babylonian Captivity, in which the papacy was forced to relocate to Avignon . Soon
after returning to Rome, conflict arose within the papacy resulting in three popes fighting for the
title. When the Council of Constance unified the papacy in 1417 with the election of Martin V, the
popes political authority outside of the

St. Thomas Aquinas
Saint Thomas Aquinas was a philosopher, theologian, Doctor of the Catholic Church, and is the
patron saint of Catholic Universities, colleges, and schools. He was born in Rocca Secca, Italy,
in 1225 and was born into a wealthy family. He even was related to the kings of Aragon, Castile,
and France. His journey into Catholic beliefs seemed predestined, for he was told when he was a
young child that he would become a friar and no one would be equal to him. He started his
questioning of faith and religion when he was a youngster, frequently asking his teachers, What is
God? Saint Thomas was a panentheist, meaning that he arrives through logical argument at ... Show

4) Therefore, there must be an uncaused first cause called God. The third manner of Aquinas
support of God was that there are two types of beings, contingent beings (humans) and a necessary
being (God). Saint Thomas believed that this necessary being (God), was necessary for the
contingent beings (humans), to exist and without God, we humans would not exist. The easiest
way to explain this very confusing subject would be as follows: 1) Contingent beings are caused.
2) Not every being can be contingent. 3) There must exist a being that is necessary to cause
contingent beings. 4) This necessary being is God. Saint Thomas Aquinasfourth argument of the
presence of God came from his observations of the quality of objects. For example one may say
that of two paintings one is more beautiful than the other. So for these two objects, one has a
greater degree of beauty than the next. This is referred to as degrees or graduation of a quality.
From this fact Aquinas concluded that for any given quality (e.g. goodness, beauty, knowledge)
there must be a perfect standard by which all such qualities are measured. These perfections are
contained and reflected in God. God is the ultimate and everything is insufficient compared to His
greatness. The final way that Saint Thomas Aquinas speaks of God s existence has to do with the
observable universe and the order of nature. Aquinas states that common sense tells us that the
universe works in such a way, that

How Does Mining Affect Australian Economy
Aluminium is extracted from the metal ore bauxite. Bauxite is mined in various mines across
Australia. There are two bauxite mines currently operating in Alcoa, Western Australia. These mines

Mining and Extraction process of Aluminium
Aluminium is mined on the surface of the crust. The extraction is done by electrolysis. Aluminium
oxide has a high melting point at over 2 000В°C, as a result it is expensive to melt it, so, it is
dissolved in molten cryolite.

The mining process involves many big vehicles and other technology that release huge amounts of
pollution into the atmosphere speeding up global warming and causing climate change.
How does mining help the Australian Economy
Australia can sell most of what they mine for huge profits as they are nonrenewable resources and
can be used for many different things including jewellry or petrol. Also hundreds of people in
Australia are involved in the mining business so that raises the Australian economy.
Is it in Australia s best interests to mine metals?
I believe that Australia s best interests are not to mine metals, as there are more important issues
and better and more energy efficient ways to save money and power machines. Terrorism should
be all countries best interests as people all over the world are dying and wounded for people s
beliefs. Also solar and wind energy are just two energy efficient ways to power objects. It is better
for the environment than fossil fuels and carries only few

Why Was The Gunpowder Plot A Conspiracy
On 22nd August 1642, King Charles I declared war against his enemies, in Parliament. In the
Civil War which followed one man in ten were killed. Many people died of starvation. Others
had their house, their land or all their possessions destroyed. How had the situation come about
where Englishmen were prepared to fight against each other, and even against members of their
own families ? Charles s reign started off badly, in 1625 Charles married a French Catholic
princess, Henrietta Maria. This was very unpopular since Parliament questioned the religion of
Charles s children especially if they were brought up by a Catholic mother. In 1629, Charles tried
to dissolve Parliament. He then ruled without them for eleven years, until 1640. Some historians
say that his policies during this time were very unpopular. One method he used was the Ship
Money Tax . Coastal counties had to pay tax to help improve the Navy during times of warfare. In
1634, Charles demanded Ship Money Tax although England weren t... Show more content on

Many people think that the story of the Gunpowder Plot was a conspiracy theory. Do you agree ?
Mini Essay In 1605, a group of young and angry Catholics decided that they had enough of King
James I, and decided to take over the kingdom of England. They planned to destroy the Protestant
government by murdering the most important men in the kingdom. Many people since think that
the Gunpowder Plot was a conspiracy theory to make the Catholics even more unpopular in society.
Others think that the traditional story that they had been taught for generations was true. In order to
find out we have to consider the actions that make the Gunpowder Plot look like a conspiracy
theory and the traditional story. Firstly it is important to understand the traditional story. A group of
Catholics were angry with King James and wanted to assaninate him. They decided to blow up the
House of Lords when the most important when where in it. They brought some gunpowder and

A Few Good Men Plot Summary
An orphaned young girl teams up with a former enforcer, as they are pursued by a ruthless Mexican
mobster.
STORY COMMENTS
THE STRENGTH OF TEN MEN is a captivating action, thriller. The strength of this story is no
doubt the complex and highly compelling characters that drive the plot. The core characters are
thrust into a harrowing life and death situation where the stakes are extremely high.
The script offers intriguing twist and turns. There are solid themes about trust, family, believing, and
faith.
The idea of a young orphan girl teaming up with an enforcer is an appealing plotline. There s a
smart twist when the enforcer turns out to be the person who killed the young girl s father. In
addition, a ruthless Mexican mobster hunts ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For the most part, it sounds crisp and has a nice rhythm. The voices of the characters are consistent
with their personalities and reveals information about them.
The only area that should be polished is the running gag about whores. This is still overdone. It s
funny in the beginning, but then loses its charm. The discussion about big dicks isn t all that
engaging.
The overall tension works best in the opening. The conflict and tension in the second act can be
stronger if there s more of an urgency and ticking clock. The current pace hinders this. The tension
doesn t enhance again until the midpoint.
The script is professionally presented although there are a few minor typos (pages 4, 45, and 54).
Also, the character of Dennis introduced twice.
SUMMARY MARKETABILITY
The plot is engaging and merits consider with revisions, especially in the first half of the script
regarding the goal, tension, pace, and action.
The strengths of this script are the characters and they can attract talent.
The action is also well crafted.
The script should be marketable in both the domestic and international market.
The script should appeal to the mainstream action, thriller audience.

Blitzkrieg Fail German Germany On Nazi Germany
When Blitzkrieg Fails Nazi Germany on the Eastern Front
Throughout of the duration of World War Two, Germany s offensive tactic of Blitzkrieg served her
well; vital in the invasions of France, Poland, Belgium, and numerous other attacks. Yet, when
Germany faced trouble in the Battle of Britain and turned to the Eastern front instead, this tank,
infantry, and Luftwaffe method proved unsuccessful. Operation Barbarossa first began with little
resistance, as Germany swept quickly into the Soviet Union. It is not until winter set in that
Blitzkrieg began to fail, and the weak remainder of fighting on the Eastern front following the
rough winter finally showed Germany s weakness as their iconic tactic proved to be beatable.
Operation Barbarossa began on the morning of June 22nd 1941, when Germany attacked on the
front stretching from the Baltic to the Black Sea, first breaking the Nazi Soviet Non Aggression
Pact. Experts at their Blitzkrieg tactic by then, Germany pushed 50 miles into the Soviet Union in
the first day. Stalin, left with a weakened Red Armyafter purging past generals who would have
proved critical in this attack, enforced the scorched earth policy, in which his people burnt
everything left behind when they retreated; leaving nothing for the Germans. At that time, Hitler
anticipated only an 8 week war. This seemed to be a reasonable idea initially, as they took Kiev,
laid siege to Leningrad and key cities on the way to Crimea all before winter. They had taken

The Middle Period And The Fall Of The Medieval Period
The Medieval Period lasted from 400 1500 AD and began with the fall of the Western Roman
Empire. The fall and the beginning of this era had massive changes to the social and economic
systems of that time. These changes began to occur because of the start of feudalism in both
Europe and Asia during this time in hope to protect themselves from barbarians. At that time, the
feudal system was the law of the land, and the way that the upper class maintained control over
the lower class. To maintain this order the upper class provided protection to the lower class and
in exchange, the lower class worked for the upper class. This was true in both Asia and Europe as
they both had a social class system to make sure everything isn t going to chaos. Yet, these ideals
weren t passed on between one another, more that each area adapted to that type of government
based on the circumstances. Even in this time where there was uncivilized and odd people
rampaging about, there was people whom had done great achievements. These people allowed their
nations to advance whether it was by fighting and conquering land, preaching of their religion, or
by creating marvelous inventions. They did amazing and remarkable things to not only advance
their nation but as well affect them long after their deaths. Making sure that their legacies were
never forgotten or left behind at all. To express and prove it let s evaluate the extent to which the
expertise and the achievements of Toyotomi Hideyoshiwith

beliefs. Conflict, an inevitable part of life, pertains to the opposing ideas and actions of different
entities. We often find ourselves in conflict in different scenarios; whether it involves other
individuals, groups of people, or a struggle within our own selves. Consequently, conflict influences
our actions and decisions in one way or another. Conflict can have significant impact in the
workplace and should not be ignored. It is essential for managers, supervisors, and even coworkers
to address individuals that are causing office conflicts. The need for managers to have better
leadership and management skills to handle their complex responsibilities is well recognized. The
following case introduces conflict management in the workplace setting. The foundation of conflict
management centers on communication techniques including transparent communication, open
discussion, active listening and timing of intervention. This case analyzes the cause of conflicts,
reviews techniques of conflict management, and discusses specific management styles such as:
avoidance, competition, accommodation, compromise, and collaboration. Case scenario

Block Island Offshore Wind Energy
Researching wind energy is an interesting topic, which I knew very little about and I wanted to
know how it would benefit Rhode Island homeowners and residents. I also heard about the
Block Island Wind Farm and realized that wind energy is evolving into a very important part of
the future. In my paper I decided that I should incorporate the downsides of oil and gas sources,
to show that wind really can be the cleanest source of energy. I also show how wind energy can
affect the job industry, as well as open up a whole new industry just for wind farms and turbines.
However, my main points to reach are the Block Island Offshore Wind Farm, and what wind
energy can do for Rhode Island, the United States, and the world. I did just that by incorporating...

For instance, based on the United States, there could be an abundantly large number of new
jobs. In Offshore Energy by the Numbers it states that offshore wind could create about 91,000
additional jobs along the Atlantic coast, which is 71 percent more than could be created by
offshore oil and gas drilling . Creating more jobs has always been a top priority in the states and
this is a simple solution. Just in Rhode Island roughly 100 more jobs have been created from
wind energy construction. Block Island has recently become home to the United States first
offshore wind farm and in starting a new industry of jobs for America. Deep Water Wind, which
describes itself as America s leading offshore wind developer, quotes the Rhode Island governor,
Gina Raimondo, Projects like the Block Island Wind Farm are the future not only of Rhode Island
s economy, but the whole country s economy, with this project, Rhode Island continues to position
itself as a leader and an innovator in the industries of the future. This quote is the perfect instance
of how wind energy can affect such a small state, and such a large nation. The Block Island Wind
Farm was an exciting start for a tremendous push into the wind

Unexpected pregnancies happen for various individual, social, economic and political reasons . Abortion data is only gathered by South Australia, Western Australia and the Northern Territory. However, South Australia is the only state to publish data and report findings annually. Abortion is a heavy topic which has the nation spilt into two groups; pro life or pro choice. Pro life is in favour of the foetus and they believe that by killing the foetus it is equivalent to murder. Pro choice is for abortion, as they believe that the woman has the choice to do what she wants with her body. This report will cover how religion deals with abortion and how it can clash with modern ethnicity, abortion safety, the repercussions of abortion and the social aspects of abortion. Throughout this essay, I will be examining the effects of one of the most controversial university enrollments. James Meredith paved the way for African American acceptance into a historically all White University. No matter how much adversity Meredith would encounter, he would not give up or give in to institutional racism. The want to keep Ole Miss segregated by those there did not hinder his success. In an attempt to end racial segregation, the Supreme Court ordered the admittance of James Meredith to the campus. This action was a clear defiance of racial segregation. This resulted in an abundant amount of not only riots but also casualties. Meredith paved the way for other African Americans ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Three succes sive National governments left the British People quite lost in terms of leadership, especial ly in those times of Great Depression. The raising of the taxes and the massive wave of unemployment led the poor to become even poorer but it also saw the expansion of the middle class among the society. Indeed, this period saw the falling of prices of goods, the reduction of the number of large families, the settling of the reduction of working hours and the outbreak of paid holidays by the Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain which let families in less need. Moreover, the outbreak of household electrical goods such as televisions or vacuum cleaners marked the development of the popular culture and, therefore, of the middle class . On the other hand, the quantity of poor remained massive among the working class and the rising of the conservative party after the appalling failure of Ramsay MacDonald s government has made a contribution to it. Besides setting the size and shape of a pattern, blocking also enhances slightly uneven stitches, brings lace stitch patterns to their full potential, straightens, evens out edge stitches for easy and nicer looking seaming and will also straighten stranded colorwork. Blocking is easy to do and requires minimal supplies to get the job done. Fibers react differently to blocking and it is good to consider what kind or project you are knitting to pick the proper fiber that will look its best, and which type of blocking works best with your fiber and project. The Evolution Of Poverty During The Civil War THE EVOLUTION OF POVERTY IN AMERICA Missy Worrells Modern History 1073 November 19, 2014 The Evolution of Poverty in America Poverty is a hardship that has existed in every milestone of American history. War impacted the economy of the country after the Civil War. The twentieth century would see wars, natural disasters, and economical depressions that contributed to the developing culture of poverty. Poverty in any time period is a shattering experience. While being poor during the Reconstruction, the Great Depression, and the Civil Rights movement were each devastating, the nature of poverty would evolve as the culture of each decade evolved. The character of poverty changed most dramatically over the years through Americans perception of standards of living and the government s response to poverty. War always has a major impact on the economy of a country. The Civil War threw the South into poverty. America had been divided by the Civil War and needed to find a way to heal the rift. The way to do this seemed to be for the South to shift to industry, like the North. During the 1880s, Henry W. Grady promoted the concept of the New South that would be modeled on the industry of the North. He and his supporters promoted education and industrialization as the way to rebuild the South. Luckily for me, Employment of physicians and surgeons is projected to grow 14 percent from 2014 to 2024, much faster than the average for all occupations (Bureau of Labor Statistics). After graduating from high schoolnext May, I plan to major in Engineering, and then go on to Medical School in order to become a Neurosurgeon. After taking both the Gardner s Intelligence test and Myers Briggs personality inventory, I discovered new things about myself that I never knew before, and I believe that this new knowledge will help me excel in my dream of becoming a doctor. My highest score on the Gardner s Intelligence test came in the Logical/Mathematical category. This score makes perfect sense for me because I enjoy math and science classes. Additionally, I use logic and math almost everyday because of my participation on Southview s Science Olympiad team. In order to achieve my degree in engineering and then medical school, I will go though countless math and science classes. These classes take a tremendous amount of work and dedication, and I believe that my high logical/mathematical score prepares me well for the challenge. Considering the magnitude of the fire, it was fortunate that no human lives or homes were lost in the inferno. Vegetative studies show that Mountain Laurel (Kalmia latifolia), an evergreen shrub, reproduced much faster than other understory species (Dumas, Neufeld, Fisk, 2007). Many subpopulations of TAMs exist within a tumor, which probably change temporally during tumor development and geographically depending upon of their location within the tumor micro environment. Terms like American experience , American Christianity , American Mission , American power , etc., undoubtedly express the American role in the expansion of Christianity. As they attempted to spread the gospel, Americans, by large, decontextualized neither their theology nor their understanding of missions. Both American orthodoxy and orthopraxis were taught and reinforced as a golden standard in various parts of the world. Church buildings, musical instruments, ministers attire, choir robes, hymns, names of converts, schools and curriculums had Americans religious, cultural, and economic trademark. The Christianity that addressed issues of life in the American cultural context was transplanted in different parts of the world. Unlike the transition of the Hebraic Christianity from the Jewish culture to the Gentile world in the first century, which developed its own unique theological, cultural, and leadership identity in a short period of time, the phenomenal growth of Christianity in the majority world has been largely influenced by the dominance of American Christianity. Centuries prior the Catholic Church gained a surplus of control, largely due to the stability it maintained during the chaotic breakdown of the Western Roman Empire . Yet toward the end of the Middle Agesthe Church set in motion factors that would ultimately lead to its downfall as the definitive figure of authority. However, despite political and social controversy surrounding the church, the institutions it established cleared a path for a new way of thinking, shaping society in an enduring way. This resulted in a more analytical mindset creating a foothold for the Renaissanceand Scientific Revolution . An overtly secular focus took precedence over religious matters and the moral decay of the Church was called into question. This obsession of secular control is most clearly exemplified by the Great Schism that took place from 1378 to 1417 . The Great Schism was the result of the Babylonian Captivity, in which the papacy was forced to relocate to Avignon . The third manner of Aquinas support of God was that there are two types of beings, contingent beings (humans) and a necessary being (God). Saint Thomas believed that this necessary being (God), was necessary for the contingent beings (humans), to exist and without God, we humans would not exist. The easiest way to explain this very confusing subject would be as follows: 1) Contingent beings are caused. 2) Not every being can be contingent. 3) There must exist a being that is necessary to cause contingent beings. 4) This necessary being is God. Saint Thomas Aquinasfourth argument of the presence of God came from his observations of the quality of objects. For example one may say that of two paintings one is more beautiful than the other. So for these two objects, one has a greater degree of beauty than the next. This is referred to as degrees or graduation of a quality. From this fact Aquinas concluded that for any given quality (e.g. goodness, beauty, knowledge) there must be a perfect standard by which all such qualities are measured. These perfections are contained and reflected in God. God is the ultimate and everything is insufficient compared to His greatness. For the most part, it sounds crisp and has a nice rhythm. The voices of the characters are consistent with their personalities and reveals information about them. The only area that should be polished is the running gag about whores. This is still overdone. It s funny in the beginning, but then loses its charm. The discussion about big dicks isn t all that engaging. The overall tension works best in the opening. The conflict and tension in the second act can be stronger if there s more of an urgency and ticking clock. The current pace hinders this. The tension doesn t enhance again until the midpoint. • 47. Blitzkrieg Fail German Germany On Nazi Germany When Blitzkrieg Fails Nazi Germany on the Eastern Front Throughout of the duration of World War Two, Germany s offensive tactic of Blitzkrieg served her well; vital in the invasions of France, Poland, Belgium, and numerous other attacks. Yet, when Germany faced trouble in the Battle of Britain and turned to the Eastern front instead, this tank, infantry, and Luftwaffe method proved unsuccessful. Operation Barbarossa first began with little resistance, as Germany swept quickly into the Soviet Union. It is not until winter set in that Blitzkrieg began to fail, and the weak remainder of fighting on the Eastern front following the rough winter finally showed Germany s weakness as their iconic tactic proved to be beatable. Operation Barbarossa began on the morning of June 22nd 1941, when Germany attacked on the front stretching from the Baltic to the Black Sea, first breaking the Nazi Soviet Non Aggression Pact. Experts at their Blitzkrieg tactic by then, Germany pushed 50 miles into the Soviet Union in the first day. Stalin, left with a weakened Red Armyafter purging past generals who would have proved critical in this attack, enforced the scorched earth policy, in which his people burnt everything left behind when they retreated; leaving nothing for the Germans. At that time, the feudal system was the law of the land, and the way that the upper class maintained control over the lower class. To maintain this order the upper class provided protection to the lower class and in exchange, the lower class worked for the upper class. This was true in both Asia and Europe as they both had a social class system to make sure everything isn t going to chaos. Yet, these ideals weren t passed on between one another, more that each area adapted to that type of government based on the circumstances. Even in this time where there was uncivilized and odd people rampaging about, there was people whom had done great achievements. These people allowed their nations to advance whether it was by fighting and conquering land, preaching of their religion, or by creating marvelous inventions. They did amazing and remarkable things to not only advance their nation but as well affect them long after their deaths. Making sure that their legacies were never forgotten or left behind at all.
