Confucius thought you were a bad ruler if you did not do everything he stated you had to do to
become a good ruler. For example, Confucius believed that all rulers should be virtuous, have dignity,
and should be a good father to his people. If you did not own up to those rules then you were
considered a bad ruler in Confucius s eyes. He did not approve of the rules who didn t follow his rules.
If you did not follow his rules than most likely your government will fall apart and turn against you.

have survived to show us in amazing detail what town life was like under Roman rule, and because of
this, the discovery of Pompeii is of huge importance for our understanding of the Roman world. When
the pyroclastic flow enveloped Pompeii, its inhabitants were buried along with their city. Ash
solidified around their bodies that eventually rotted away, leaving behind human shaped holes found
