Picasso was born in Malaga, Spain and his father was a realistic painter. Picasso studied realism as a young artist but later experimented with cubism, creating abstracted forms. Some of his most famous works include Guernica, which depicted the bombing of a Spanish city, and several portraits including The Old Guitarist and Girl Before a Mirror. Picasso had relationships with multiple women and lovers over his lifetime and is regarded as one of the most influential artists of the 20th century.
