Pablo Picasso was a Spanish painter, sculptor, and printmaker who spent most of his adult life in France. He specialized in drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, etching, and ceramic art. Some techniques he used included engraving, dry point, etching, and aquatint. He was inspired by postimpressionist artist Paul Cezanne and helped develop Cubism alongside Georges Braque. In addition to traditional oils, Picasso liked to experiment with industrial paints and materials like sand and newspaper to create unique colors. Some of his most famous works include The Old Guitarist, Guernica, Jacqueline, and Girl before a Mirror.
