The Best Hiking Routes Of California On The United States...
12 Of The Best Hiking Routes In California The state of California on the United States Pacific Coast
is a dream destination for many, particularly those who love the great outdoors. Some of the most
beautiful nature on the continent is found in California, from jaw dropping giant Sequoia trees, to
snowcapped mountains and sunny beaches. California is the perfect place for a hike, and here are 12
routes that you simply must take while you re there. 1. Eaton Canyon Trail: Pasadena For those who
like a well known family hike, head just north of Pasadena to the Eaton Canyon Trail. This 3.5 mile
(5.6 km) moderate intensity trail is fairly close to civilization, making it a more popular trail. Hikers
can enjoy beautiful views of the city Altadena below, as well as hike to Eaton Canyon Falls. Be
prepared to cross small streams and maneuver around boulders! There is also a Nature Center near the
trailhead for everyone to enjoy. The most crowded times are on the weekends, when it might be
difficult to find parking. Try and hike on a weekday if crowds are not really your thing. 2. Black Star
Canyon Trail: Silverado For a trail with less traffic, head to Black Star Canyon, located northwest of
Silverado. This 15.6 mile (25 km) trail is rated as moderate, with plenty of rocks to climb over and a
waterfall to see as you make your way along the path. Interested in ghosts and general spookiness?
Black Star Canyon is supposedly haunted, and was once home to quite a few grizzly

Steps For The Processing Of The Data Essay
This provides an overview of the steps that were used for the processing of the data. In general all of
the processes were executed using batch macros in ImageJ and the resulting files were saved at each
step. 1. Import the movie file into ImageJ. 2. Bin images by 4x (Image Adjust Size 512 x 512 Average
when downsizing Interpolation: Bilinear). Based on the results from a parallel study, this improves the
tracking of rapidly moving mitochondria. 3. StackReg each 50 frame movie (Plugins Registration
StackReg Transformation: Rigid Body) to correct for stage drift. 4. Stretch images by 2 on the time
axis (Plugins Transform TransformJ Scale x factor for scaling: 1, y factor for scaling: 1 z factor for
scaling: 2 Interpolation scheme: quintic B spline). Based on a separate analysis, this also improves the
tracking of rapidly moving mitochondria. 5. Determine the optimal values for the FlowJ plugin. Crop
out a small section of a movie that has the motion of interest and is representative of the data set.
Directly measure the motion of interest using a kymograph or other trusted approach to establish
ground truth flow. As an additional control, it may be helpful to construct a parallel movie where the
motion of interest is absent. Set Σs = 2 and Σt =2, systematically vary τ and Σw and produce x y flow
maps. First examine how the output varies as a function of Σw. Pick the smallest value that generates a
clear flow field for the moving object, then for

Pedagogy Of The Oppressed By Paulo Freire
Paulo Freire s book Pedagogy of the Oppressed analyzes the issues of different styles and techniques
of teaching. Whether it be at school, home, or by a parent education can be pushed upon you in
different forms. These manners of education can treat people as objects; use forms of paternalism due
to authority over someone, and restrict people from having freedom and responsibilities. One of the
mechanisms Freire talks about is banking education:
Education thus becomes an act of depositing, in which the students are the depositories and the teacher
is the depositor. Instead of communicating, the teacher issues communiqués and makes deposits,
which the students patiently receive, memorize and repeat. This is the banking concept of education,
in which the scope of action allowed to the students extends only as far as receiving, filing, and
storing the deposits.
Ever since I can remember I always noticed I would be in classes in school that portrayed banking
education in some form. In this essay, I will talk about my college history class and how it functions,
the perspective I have about my teacher, and how I m able to pass the class. Last fall semester is when
I started college here at Del Mar. I had only enrolled in three classes, and being how I was only a
freshman starting my first semester in a whole new environment, I wanted to make sure I was taking
things slow. The class that stood out to me the most, concerning banking education, was my history

John Maynard Keynes s Economic Theory And Policy After...
At the start of the Great Depression, people in all affected countries believed that a free market based
on supply and demand with no government control would deliver full employment. John Maynard
Keynes came up with a theory as a counterargument: that aggregate demand is the single most
powerful force in any economy. Keynes explains that free markets are not able to balance themselves
out enough to lead to the full employment everyone was waiting for. The 1930s gave rise to Keynes
ideas, especially after the publication of his revolutionary book The General Theory of Employment,
Interest, and Money in 1936. Keynesian economics dominated economic theory and policy after
World War II until the 1970s, when the issue of stagflation introduced itself to a disappointingly
unprepared Keynes. (CITE JAHAN P.54)
Keynes and His Theory
John Maynard Keynes was a well known British economist, and is credited with the establishment of
modern macroeconomics. One must remember that the concept of macroeconomics already existed,
but Keynes addition includes a systematic approach to aggregate economic phenomena. (CITE
SNOWDON/VANE P 13) While The General Theory of Employment, Interest, and Money might be
his most famous work, he also had two other important works released before it. The first was The
Economic Consequences of the Peace in 1919, arguing that the Versailles Treaty would lead to another
war in Europe. The second, released just six years before General Theory, was A

The Roles Of Sophie Scholl
There were about 67 million people living in Germany during the time of the Holocaust, however only
a few had the bravery to speak out against the Nazis. Sophie Scholl was one of these courageous
people. It is evident that Sophie Scholl is a great role model who impacted Germany because she
wrote anti Nazi propaganda, fought for what she thought was right, and Germans today admire her.
Sophie grew up during the Nazi takeover in Forchtenberg, Germany. Unlike most German families,
hers had their own ideas about the Nazi party. Her father, who was a former mayor of several small
towns in Germany, warned Sophie and her brothers about the new regime eventually abusing their
power (Biography in Context). Her parents also encouraged their children to think for themselves and
speak their minds (Student Resource Center). This parental support foreshadows what Sophie and her
brother would become. The Scholl household was very supportive of their family members.
When Sophie was twelve years old, she joined the League of German Girls. This was a pseudo Nazi
organization (Pettinger). These organizations, called Hitler Youth Organizations, trained and educated
German teenagers to become loyal followers of the Nazi Party (Zapotczny). Initially, Sophie excelled
in the League of German Girls. She enjoyed the activities and was even promoted to a leadership
position. However, Sophie eventually became skeptical about the organization she was in (Pettinger).

Fitzgerald s Use Of Narrative Voice In The Great Gatsby
How have writers used narrative voice and/or characterization to explore a social or intellectual
concern in the two works you have studied?
For ages, authors have strived to convey their interpretation of the social concerns and themes, using
the literary texts as a medium. Their texts were not only intended for conveying, but also to form the
basis for social and intellectual change. In Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi and Great Gatsby by F. Scott
Fitzgerald, these key concepts have been clearly addressed. Persepolis is a graphic novel, portraying
the life of Marji and how she experiences social changes around her in Iran. The Great Gatsby is a
literary novel, set in the 1920 s, reflects on the American society and social status ... Show more

Scott Fitzgerald has effectively used characterization and narrative voice to explore various social
concerns. The novel was produced during the 1920 s, referred to as the roaring twenties or the jazz
age. The fruit of the economic boom also gave rise to many social issues which involve alcoholism,
class, and domestic violence. The class in that period was divided into the new money, old money and
no money. Fitzgerald very well integrated this social concern using characterization. Division of the
west egg, East egg and the valley of ashes symbolized this social concern. Also, Tom Buchanan in the
novel was characterized as an arrogant and hypocritical bully. People who have been brought up rich
are expected have characteristics similar to Tom. Another social problem was incomplete and
incompatible relationships among people. This was portrayed by the relationship between Daisy and
Tom. While Nick, the narrator, judges the life of Daisy and Tom based on their lavish house. Yet, the
narrator soon learns the imperfections in their life, portrayed by narrator voice such as Fragilely
Bound and French Widows . Due to the economic boom, alcoholism was very prevalent in that period.
Fitzgerald uses a unique way of deriving this social problem. Nick, the narrator, came to New York to
earn money. However, his motifs were changed and he was shown to have been severely influenced
by alcoholism. He also received treatment to overcome this after Gatsby died. Also, the narrator use

The Heart Rate Recovery Times
This experiment was performed to see the changes in the heart rate recovery times of in season, off
season, and non athlete s hearts. We spent three days testing our runners, and their heart rate recovery
times. Every student checked their initial heart rate, and then ran for 30 seconds. At the end of 30
seconds, we timed how long it took them for their heart rate to reach their normal again. After our
research, we found Scientific Journals where scientists had performed similar experiments. We
obtained information from Morganroth s hypothesis (Naylore 2012). He said that athletic hearts had
morphed into something stronger. He concluded that athletes exercising developed cardiac
hypertrophy. Our research made us more aware of the factors that could cause an athlete s heart to
recover faster than a non athlete. Some of the factors we found were: hypertrophy, strength trained
heart, and endurance trained heart. These factors could help determine why we concluded the results
that we found. We concluded that the in season athlete s hearts recovered much faster than the other
two categories. The in season athlete s heart recovered at an average rate of 41.8 seconds. The second
fastest was the Off season athlete s heart which recovered at an average rate of 51.7 seconds, and the
non athletes falling behind at 63.5 seconds. We believe that the in season athlete s heart recovered
faster, because they are accustomed to exercising, and they are training each day for

Why to Select Third Party Tools to Manage Server and...
Microsoft has equipped the organizations with the Windows server operating system and other server
tools like Exchange Server, SQL Server, SharePoint Server, etc. In addition, there are inbuilt server
tools like DNS Server, DHCP Server, File Server, and Active Directory to create a complete
networking infrastructure inside an organization. However, the server and networking management
using the traditional Microsoft tools become obsolete at a level. In this blog post, we ll discuss how
these tools fail to serve the purpose and why the need of using third party tools arises.

1. Managing Users in Large Organizations
Let us suppose a case of a large organization has fifty different departments, each of which contains
hundreds of employees segregated on different positions. A large IT helpdesk of at least 70 or more
members is at least required to meet the IT requirements in this case. Suppose the IT staff is required
to create the user accounts of 200 new users who ve to join in the different departments next week,
audit 300 users of five departments, and to keep a check on the file modifications on the file server to
trace the unauthorized accesses to the sensitive data. How much time will they take for these three
tasks? Almost three to four weeks, but the management wants them to complete this task in four days
without a hit to the daily demands of troubleshooting the computers, managing the networks, seeing
the logon/logoff, and other work. Is it possible? The

tormenting him for years. When Dave was younger there were always signs of his mother s manic
behavior but David was too young to understand these actions. At the age of four David s mother

games that would leave him so weak, he was physically and mentally tortured. His world is full of

that the birth narratives in both Matthew and Luke helps their readers to know who Jesus is and where

Luke s genealogy of Jesus and his birth focuses on Mary Jesus s mother. Luke tells the story from her

The Ethics of Cadaveric Organs for Transplantation
THE ETHICS OF CADAVERIC ORGANS FOR TRANSPLANTATION
The Ethics of Cadaveric Organs for Transplantation
Brianne Vought
HAS 545.01 Ethics and Health Care
Advancements in medicine have allowed for the ability to transplant organs from a cadaver to a living
patient. Immunosuppressive drugs have been developed to block the bodily rejection of organs from
the deceased making transplantation possible. When an individual dies The Uniform Anatomical Gift
Act allows for tissue and organs of the cadaver to be used for transplantation (Garrett, Baillie, amp;
Garrett, 2001). This document is a set model or regulations and laws concerning organ donation that
all 50 states have passed in some measure. Organs such as the kidneys, heart, ... Show more content

In the majority of the religious groups, as long as due respect is shown to the body, cadaver organ
transplants are not forbidden (Garrett, Baillie, amp; Garrett, 2001). But in some cultures death is not
the end of the soul and that the life of the body can be restored.
Most families still refuse to donate the organs of their dying relatives despite all efforts made to
increase donations. Harvesting may be thought of as violating the sanctity of the body. Donation may
involve unwarranted mutilation of the body and so disrespect for the dignity of the human body
(Garrett, Baillie, amp; Garrett, 2001). Individuals are urged to sign an organ donor card with little or
no awareness of what that action can mean. How the death is determined may weigh in on the decision
to donate. The potential recipient is rarely known, because tissue and compatibility tests must be done.
There is always less ethical force in an unnamed potential person that a living identifiable one. The
horror stories that make the headlines also deter consent for donation. The few illegal harvesting
accusations which are published in newspapers and documented on television deter individuals from
donating and allow them to see denial of consent as the barrier to exploitation and harm. There is also
a fear that the organ donor may not actually be dead but declared dead prematurely so that the vital
organs can be taken to benefit another human being. The Uniform

Television Violence Essay
Television violence and its effects on viewers has been a controversial issue for many years. Some
viewers believe that there is an increasingly large amount of violence on television and this
widespread public concern has quot;led to calls for stricter controls on the depiction of violence in
programmes quot; (Gunter and McAleer 1990:92). Exactly how much violence is there on television
though?
Many cultivation theorists have studied this, acquiring data in the form of content analysis. They agree
on a definition of a violent act, for example Gerbner in his study used the definition, quot;an overt
expression of physical force against self or other, compelling action against ones will on pain of being
hurt or killed, or actually ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is clearly obvious from the research already done concerning television and its effects, that violence
is quite prevalent on British television. Of more concern however is the effect that those can have on
its viewers. Does the violence on television really increase the violent attitudes and behaviour in
individuals? Violence on television can do one of three things. The first is make us more violent
(Huesmann 1982), the second is make us less violent (Feshbach 1972) and the third is to have no
effect at all (Freedman 1984, Kaplan and Singer 1976). Most evidence has supported the first
argument namely that television violence does increase our own violent behaviour. There are four
main effects that cause this violent behaviour when viewing it on television.
The first of these affects is arousal. It is believed that a violent programme increases levels of arousal
and thus causes us to become more violent as we are not only excited by the programme but also
agitated and nervous. This effect is not limited to violent programmes however, as a comedy
programme may induce arousal in the form of amusement in the same way as a violent programme
induces arousal in the form of anger. It is the type of arousal that occurs in the first place that
determines the effect the programme has. Condry (1989:11) found that suspense programmes, comedy
programmes and sport events

Eight Chemical Reactions
There are many reaction types that can occur when compounds come together to form different types
of products. In chemistry, there are eight different basic types of reactions. The eight basic reactions
include: combustion, synthesis, decomposition, precipitation, single replacement, double replacement,
acid/base, and redox reactions. These reactions are categorized into their reaction type by their
differences and similarities. The first type of reaction is combustion. A combustion reaction is when a
substance is combined with oxygen and releases heat and light energy. An example of a combustion
reaction is the combustion of hydrogen. When a balloon with oxygen and hydrogen is supplied with
heat by a candle, it triggers an explosive ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another known name for this type of reaction is a displacement reaction. These type of solutions
mostly occur in liquid solution and the amount of energy used in this type of reaction is smaller than
that of a synthesis or decomposition reaction. In this type of reaction, in a compound, an element
replaces a similar element. For example we have elements A, B, and X. In this equation we heave
element A + compound BX. Element A will replace element B to form B + AX. (A + BX B + AX)
Another reaction is a double replacement. This reaction usually produces an insoluble gas or water.
Double replacement is when in two compounds, ions will exchange places in a liquid solution
(aqueous solution) to form a new compound. For example A, B, X, and Y are ions in the first part of
the equation, AX + BY. The ions X and Y will replace each other to form a new compound to form AY
+ BX. ( AX + BY AY + BY) A different type of reaction would be an acid/base reaction. This reaction
is a neutralization. An acid is a substances that looses protons which are H+ ions and a base is a
substance that receives protons. When equal amounts of protons are lost by an acid and the same
amounts of protons are being received by a base, they neutralize each other. That creates a product that
is neither acidic nor basic by the two substances (acid and a

The Federal Court allows for the application for judicial review of the removal order and the decision
of the Immigration officer regarding eligibility . If the application reviewing officer has any concerns
regarding the claimant, and determines that the applicant is not eligible for the refugee status based on
one of the four key grounds mentioned above the case is most likely to be appealed through the court.
During the trial each individual will have the opportunity to clarify any specific information and give
more precise and clear reasons for the purpose of immigration, with no right to further appeal the final
order issued by the Federal Court. In case the appeal goes well, then there is a hearing before the Trial

The Industrial Revolution In Canada
Hundreds of thousands of events have occurred in history to bring us the Canada that we know and
love today. One event completely changed the world technologically, socioeconomically, and
culturally. It began in Britain but affected every corner of the Earth. While The Industrial Revolution
has come and gone, it brought in new inventions, encouraged international trade, and created new
settlement patterns, changing the world and building the foundation for the years to come.
The Industrial Revolution began circa 1760 in Britain, the world s leading power at the time. Britain

After America s independence from the British empire in 1783, BNA had much better access to new
technologies that allowed them to industrialize more quickly. The colony had been based around
mercantilism, so it only made sense that its industries would be based around transport of goods and
products. One example is Montréal s Lachine Canal. Built in the 1820s, it was a very popular form of
transportation. Manufacturing factories and businesses developed in and around major metropolitan
areas like Toronto and Montréal but the shift to an economy that measured wealth in money rather
than land had devastating effects during the Great Depression. During the Great Depression, many
Canadians moved into urban areas. This resulted in cramped and unsanitary living conditions where
disease was rampant. It was during this time when what is often considered the Second Industrial
Revolution began. In Canada, the revolution began with advances in brewing, flour milling, textiles,
and shipbuilding but later evolved to mass automated moving assembly lines, large scale factories,
and mass production of automobiles. The Second World War heavily pushed the Second Industrial
Revolution and by the 1970s, the Digital Revolution was well underway. World War II ended the
Great Depression and created many jobs all over the world. It sparked a massive intervention amongst
state planners and by the war s end, Canada was at full employment. Industrial work peaked in the
1950s and deindustrialization began to occur in Canada and the USA in the 1960s, with the rise of
automated machines. By this point, many state policies corresponding to the needs of an industrialized
society had been implemented, making an easier way of life for the poor and working

belonging is something many used to cope with the situation. If you re with your family you feel like

The World War 2 Rotary Wing Aviation
At the close of World War 2 rotary wing aviation began its transition into a so called renaissance
period. New and exciting advancements were being made to give new aircraft greater stability and
range. After many demonstrations on exactly what an aircraft could do, the United States Army
decided to adopt rotary wing aircraft to fill a search and rescue (SAR) role initially. During the Korean
War, medical evacuations and search and rescue missions took up the majority of missions for our
pilots. However, we were very limited in what we could achieve. The technology was primitive in
using piston driven engines along with heavier parts than necessary. Seeing how useful slow moving
aircraft were to our forces, Army Aviation leaders began ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As the title suggested, the program goal was to stock a dedicated light class, rotary wing system with a
multipurpose battlefield role. The helicopter would be called upon to undertake various missions
including that of SAR, MEDEVAC, observation, transport, reconnaissance, escort, Close Air Support
(CAS) and direct attack. (p.1)
During the Korean War, our internal rotary winged aviation assets were performing duties in a very
limited role. Although used extensively and often, the majority of missions that took place were either
lift oriented, medical evacuation and in some cases reconnaissance. The helicopter most suited for this
role at the time was the Bell H 13 Sioux. The H 13 saw its first flight on 8 December 1945, and
marked the first large scale procurement of a helicopter by the United States Army, being utilized from
1948 onwards. While great for its time, the H 13 was very limited in what it could achieve. It was
originally fitted with a piston driven engine. Eventually it would be upgraded to a turbine engine;
however the frame was still heavy and even the upgraded turbine engine didn t make up for the lack of
lift being generated by its measly two bladed rotor system. To say it bluntly, it was overweight and
underpowered, and we wanted something better.

Popular toys have an effect on the media. Take for example, Toy Story a popular childrens movie that

Left Ventricular Hypertrophy
Left ventricular hypertrophy is defined as the increase in muscle mass of the left ventricle; It can be
hypertrophy of the muscle leading to a systolic HVG or a dilation of the muscle leading to diastolic
HVG. The diagnosis is suspected on the ECG and confirmed by ultrasound.
Among the causes of left ventricular hypertrophy are age, intensive practice of one or more sports,
obesity, prolonged hypertension.
The seriousness of hypertension arises from its impact on a number of organs (target organs). The
complications that can develop at their level explain the increased morbidity and mortality associated
with hypertension. The heart is one of the main target organs, and one of the first consequences of
elevated blood pressure (PA) is left ventricular

The collection of biological evidence at a crime scene is vital to the success of the overall case.
Biological evidence is extremely sensitive and requires handle with care during its collection.
Preserving biological evidence is also a significant task as well, and attention must be taken to ensure

James is clean in civilian clothing and surrounding by a cornucopia of food. The lighting is also used
to show the difference between the two places. Iraq is a place covered in a layer of dirt and sand while
the supermarket is a stark bright white, showing off the cleanliness of the land. Right before it cuts to

The Pandemic Of Influenza And Vaccination
Every year, millions of people start talking about the influenza virus and getting their vaccines as the
flu season approaches, which starts around the October November period and reaches its peak
between December and March. Therefore, public health officials around the world and in the U.S in
particular are constantly challenged by properly preparing for the annual influenza dilemma, given
that this viruses, and other respiratory viruses, are a serious health threat to the U.S population and the
world as a whole. Furthermore, what makes the influenza virus even more challenging to control is
that it can mutate rapidly and reassort to form new strains, having the ability to reside in multiple
animal hosts. In fact, many scientists and researchers have been doing in depth intensive research so
as to understand the mechanism behind this unique characteristic of the virus, try to find new ways to
control it, and explore different areas of protection and vaccination.
Before jumping into talking about the different features of Influenza, ranging from its pathogenesis
and virulence, to the transmission and treatment of the disease, it is necessary to mention the slight but
important difference between seasonal influenza, pandemic influenza and zoonotic influenza.
What is seasonal Influenza?
First of all, the name Influenza is derived from the Latin word for influence , and it is an infectious
disease that is caused by the RNA viruses from the Orthomyxoviridae family:

In 2015, the Consumer Right Act (CRA) has been passed by the Parliament to provide further
protection and guidelines for consumers. One of the aims of the Act is to provide remedies for
consumers when they receive faulty goods or the goods that no longer meet their needs. Under section
20(4), it entitles the consumer to reject the goods and treat the contract as at and end. Also, under
section 20(7) (a), it entitles the consumers to exercise the short term rights to reject the goods while
section 22(3) outlines the standard period for exercising the rights is 30 days as suggested by the Law
Commission. However, there is criticism that standard period of 30 days is inflexible. Therefore, the
following paragraphs will analyse whether the 30 days is a suitable time limit for the rejection and
whether the standard period that set by the law is flexible or not.
30 Days An Acceptable Standard or Not
As mentioned above, the standard period of 30 days was adopted by the suggestion of the Law
Commission in the report.
Under the current law, there are difficulties for both retailers and consumers to interpret for reasonable
time to reject the goods as there is no clarification or explanation on the relevant factors of reasonable

The problem about this innovation is it can create conflict within the employees because this will be a
major change to them. Change is difficult and when it comes to innovating in a business that has been
working the same way for twenty years it can become difficult. It is important to consider the scope of
the problem, is it too broad or is it nonrealistic. In this organization the stakeholders involved and that

Immigration And Migration During The Vietnam War
Immigration and Migration have greatly impacted Minnesota history from the state s beginning to the
present. The impact of migration from the end of the 1800s to the Vietnam War to today has brought
social, cultural, and political changes that have shaped the state. Within each time period, different
ethnic groups migrated to Minnesota, including: Europeans, Africans, and Asians. People of different
backgrounds moved to the same location, bringing their culture, views and beliefs with them. The
migration periods: the iron range from the end of the 1800s to 1920, after the end of the Vietnam War,
and today contain similarities and differences. There s no doubt that the migration of people has
greatly influenced the present, as will the migration of people today influence the future.
The Age of mass Migration took place in 1880 1924; it was a migration primarily of people from
Southern and Eastern Europe. During the early twentieth century, the population of the Iron Range
was among the most ethnically diverse in Minnesota. Tens of thousands of immigrants arrived from
over thirty places of origin during the early twentieth century to the Iron Range in Minnesota. They
mined ore in the Iron Range, building its communities.
Minnesota has the following iron ranges: The Vermillion, the Mesabi Range, and the Cuyuna. are

Happiness By Jane Kenyon
While reading all three articles about happiness one common theme arose. What is truly happiness?
Many different people interpret this question differently, and all three works of writing seem to have a
different view on what happiness is. The poems, Happiness written by Jane Kenyon, addresses the
come and go nature of happiness, while the essay, A Balanced Psychology and A Full Life, focuses on
what needs to be done to increase happiness. With this being said Pig Happiness by Lynne McFall best
addressed the question of what happiness is . The poem Happiness does not fulfill the question of
what happiness truly is, but does provide some good incite on certain parts of what happiness is. The
poem focuses on how happiness has a nature like a prodigal (Kenyon 2). This shows that happiness

people in the world cannot increase all three constituents, but a person can live a full life when A

Becoming A Teacher At A Private School
.
Research into this career has expanded my knowledge excessively. Such as, there is a process which
has steps to becoming a teacher. Step one includes, learning about the education system. Step two is
to, decide if teaching is right for you. Obviously teaching is not the correct job for someone who does
not like children. Step three, find a degree program. Step four, choose the correct specialty; in my case
art. Step five, gain classroom experience. Step six, qualify for certification. Then, step seven, get
hired. Which results in step eight and nine, professional expectations, benefits and teaching contracts.
Finally step ten, the first year of teaching.
The education system is broken up into public and private education, there is a large difference
between them. When attempting to become a teacher at a private school, it may not be required to
have certification for their state or a teaching degree. Private schools are independent of the local,
federal and state government and establish their own individual education system. Ages ranging from
kindergarteners to high school adults can attend these schools when accepted and charged a tuition.
On the other hand, public schools are offered by the government and the curriculum taught follows
national and state standards; which is checked on and insured by standardized testing. There is a limit
for age, from kindergarten to twelfth grade; and when students become enrolled, they stay until a
certain age or grade. There are a

It s Time To Raise Of Pigs In High School
Thanks to the Future Farmers of America there are several reasons to raise a pig during one s years in

managed to befriend a foreign exchange student from Denmark this year and the concept of raising a
pig simply to slaughter it and present its carcass to a crowd of people who would proceed to bid
ridiculous amounts of money with each raise of a card. Though it may seem morbid, this entire
process can be quite beneficial to an average high school student. The very first thing to do when
considering raising a pig is designating a place for it to live during its stay with you. This spot should
have unlimited access to both sunlight and shade, water and food, and some puddles for it to cool off
in would not be too bad. However, the pig should be in a safe environment where it cannot be

What Is The Role Of Broadcasting In ABC Sports
Once again ABC sports was at the forefront of sports broadcasting. However, this time it was sports

happening in San Francisco at the time, because the city experienced a huge blackout. The Goodyear

game around the country (Keown). ESPN changed from being a sports station to a news station that
was relaying information to millions across the country. ESPN and ABC knew that they had to change
gears from sports broadcasting to news. They need to stay on the air and continue to report live

The Celebration Of Carnival In Twelfth Night And Paradise...
Carnival in history is a grand celebration that most normal people today in Louisiana would have
called Mardi Gras. The grand festival of Carnival is famously known for critiquing numerous social,
gender, political, and religious norms during the Renaissance. William Shakespeare s play about cross
dressing Twelfth Night and John Milton s religious fictional Paradise Lost utilize the festivities and
the enjoyment of traditional festivities carnival ideas like Viola s and Satan s disguises; role reversals
of Olivia, Satan, and Eve; excess food eaten by Sir Toby and Eve; madness in terms of Twelfth Night s
craziness and Satan s wrath; and violence in terms of physical and psychological.
Twelfth Night s name itself is a clear reference to the famous Christian celebration of the Epiphany,
which closely represents the twelfth night of Christmas and the beginning of the celebration of
Carnival which often has partaken in wearing disguises and societal role reversals. The religious
celebration of the Epiphany is also the point in historical religious history where the three wise men or
magi respectfully brought the three gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh to the recently born Jesus
Christ of Nazareth. In terms of disguise, Viola skillfully and dutifully disguises herself as Cesario in

The Texas Railroad Commission And The American Economy Essay
The Texas Railroad Commission What does one think about when they hear the words Texas Railroad
Commission? Many things may come to mind but it s really only two things and those are natural gas
and oil. Which happened to be one of Texas biggest assets year round. It is one of the largest bodies in
all of the country which gives it such a large influence on the supply and prices of oil in the country.
When the commission first came about its original purpose was to oversee the railroads. When James
Hogg lead the Populist style resentment for the railroads he won his election in 1890 and became
governor mainly based on the fact that, he had promised to have the railroads regulated. The Texas
Railroad Commission evolved from its founding in 1891 to a multi divisional regulatory commission
that oversaw not only railroads but also a number of other industries central to the modern American
economy: petroleum production, natural gas utilities, and motor carriers. (Childs, 2005) The state
simultaneously amended the constitution to allow such a body. With this being established it gave
jurisdiction over the operation of railroads, rates, wharves, terminals and express companies.
Governor Hogg s first appointments were John H. Reagan (chairman), Judge William Pinckney
McLean, and Lafayette L. Foster. In 1894 the legislature made the agency elective, the three
commissioners henceforth serving six year, overlapping terms in Austin. (Prindle, 1991) Despite the

Within a book entitled, Conserving The Environment, it is stated that; Accidents involving oil tankers
and offshore drilling platforms destroy thousands of fish, birds, and marine mammals. (Woodward,

mammals are as well. The reason why the oil and gas is affecting the animals so badly is due to the
chemical dispersants within them which are known as Corexit 9500 and Corexit 9527. These were
applied to the oil at the surface to aid break up oil slicks as well as at the wellhead itself.. Stated within

Rbb Rabbi Aaron Friedman Summary
Those who are of above average to genius intelligence usually perform well in school, academically
and go on to college and many have successful careers. The other end of the spectrum has created
many schools have special programs for the developmentally disabled which there is a big need for.
Yet what happens to those in the middle? Rabbi Aaron Friedman compares the middle of the road
students to the middle class in the economy. It is a big issue yet not many people have a solution for
them. He feels that rather than always putting the emphasis on the above average students which many
schools like to tout we need to have smaller classes which will help more students be able to keep up
in college and beyond. In order to not have more students fall through the cracks we need to focus on
educating them the right way so they can make it through college and have successful careers. ...

He is a consultant for many Jewish private schools. He is an advocate for hands on education, as well
as a proponent of a smaller class to teacher ratio. An alarming number of students in many schools are
struggling. Rather than labeling student Friedman recommends giving individual attention to evaluate
what is holding back the student. In many cases he finds that the student feels the class is moving too
fast or the student is missing some of the tools to follow at the speed some of the other students can
keep up with. He trains specialty teacher to help with these specific tasks. The majority of the students
that have followed the programs he helps create have been able to follow fully at an above average
level in just months of help. The biggest thing holding many more schools from joining is the cost of

General Workforce Issues for Women Globally
The textile industry is an immediate topic of discussion when examining female working conditions
globally. Today, with 1.3 billion women employed, females constitute 52% of the participation in the
workforce (Source #2). Despite their large participation and slow move towards occupation
acceptance in the developed world, women still face many trials that stem from gender based
discrimination, especially within developing countries. The textile and garment industry constitutes
most likely the largest sector of manufacturing and profit production for many countries and therefore
will be the concentration of this paper to represent the working conditions for the majority of people
(WIEGO). Since females comprise 85% of the global garment industry, their gender role is relevant in
all processes (SOMO, 2011). This paper seeks to explain general workforce issues for women
globally, including specific Latin American country examples, what should be done to improve
working conditions, and what is currently being done. At first, the benefits provided by the North
American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) were enough to give Latin American countries an edge to
hold off tight competition from other developing countries. However, in 1995, World Trade
Organization (WTO) agreed to gradually remove the 1974 Multi Fiber Agreement that installed a
quota system which limited countries such as China on the amount of products they could export to
developed countries (source #1). The elimination

The Cruelty Of Animal Hoarding In The United States
While the argument can be made that the animals are being treated equally as humans, others assert
there is harm towards the animals. One should be concerned with the pros and cons about animals. All
evidence considered, rather than harming animals, one needs appreciate and merit the animals.
Obviously, animals over the years have been harmed by the society. But do the people know the
animals are being harmed? According to dosomething.org, it s been estimated that there are 900 to
2,000 new cases every year of animal hoarding in the US, with 250,000 animals falling victim.
Meaning that animals are going through one of the most egregious forms of animal cruelty, that has
been affecting tens of thousands of animals particularly cats and dogs in communities nationwide.

For example, animal protein weakens your bones, they tend to be acidic and your body is naturally
alkaline. As an incident, the buffering solution comes from your bones and it causes a lot of calcium to
alkaline. Along with that calcium that is building block of strong bones. So, if your bones are getting
rid of calcium that s not a effusive thing for the bone health. Recognizing that some did not know that
animals protein would actually not benefit you but instead weakens your bones. To the Animal Waste
and Waste Management: By definition, AFO s produced large amounts of waste in small areas. As
another example, a single dairy cow produces approximately 120 pounds of wet manure per day. The
waste produced per day one dairy cow is equal to that of 20 40 people. So, if the owners of the cows
are willing to actually produce healthy dairy, and avoid the healthy dairy, my theory is convivial that
people should think about the products they sell before it s in the store

Rejection Of Evil
As a soul living in a manipulative society, this has made me consider who really is the cause of the
evil of the world. The American government we have been co existing with has made it seem that the
other countries, China, Russia, and Middle Eastern counties, have power and wish to destroy the
Americans. But the American government itself, are the destroyers. The control over human life is
now in the hands of the top dogs of America, and we don t know exactly who they are. They can
control energy, food supply, education, healthcare, and pretty much every aspect of the human
experience. My evil is a system that has mysteriously and deceptively trickled their way into our
mentality to make us think we need them, but they need us. Resisting this evil force, is done through
acknowledgement and being aware of who and what the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Everyone must express their true thoughts of situations that affect society and one once there is
knowledge there must be a way for acceptance. Acceptance of religions, which consider of the
physiological perspective of the meaning of the unknown purpose in life, brings ultimate peace and
unity. No matter the difficulty, it ll always be the first option to strive for the easy path. The hardest
path will bring that negativity and hatred to the ones who want change. The change towards love is
what scares humanity. Love from what I experience, is an unknown path that can lead to happiness
and the outcomes are always different yet beautiful. But if society keeps indulging in hatred, we know
the outcome is death. Love is all we need. Humans desire the unknown concept of love but it is
smashed by the powers by emphasizing hate by domination. Love acts are done through non violent
movements. Gandhi, Martin Luther King, and the now current Native American movement, are results
of the battle of the fire of hatred with the fire of

Some of the most beautiful nature on the continent is found in California, from jaw dropping giant Sequoia trees, to snowcapped mountains and sunny beaches. California is the perfect place for a hike, and here are 12 routes that you simply must take while you re there. 1. Eaton Canyon Trail: Pasadena For those who like a well known family hike, head just north of Pasadena to the Eaton Canyon Trail. This 3.5 mile (5.6 km) moderate intensity trail is fairly close to civilization, making it a more popular trail. Hikers can enjoy beautiful views of the city Altadena below, as well as hike to Eaton Canyon Falls. Be prepared to cross small streams and maneuver around boulders! There is also a Nature Center near the trailhead for everyone to enjoy. The most crowded times are on the weekends, when it might be difficult to find parking. Try and hike on a weekday if crowds are not really your thing. 2. Black Star Canyon Trail: Silverado For a trail with less traffic, head to Black Star Canyon, located northwest of Silverado. • 3. Steps For The Processing Of The Data Essay This provides an overview of the steps that were used for the processing of the data. In general all of the processes were executed using batch macros in ImageJ and the resulting files were saved at each step. 1. Import the movie file into ImageJ. 2. Bin images by 4x (Image Adjust Size 512 x 512 Average when downsizing Interpolation: Bilinear). Based on the results from a parallel study, this improves the tracking of rapidly moving mitochondria. 3. StackReg each 50 frame movie (Plugins Registration StackReg Transformation: Rigid Body) to correct for stage drift. 4. Stretch images by 2 on the time axis (Plugins Transform TransformJ Scale x factor for scaling: 1, y factor for scaling: 1 z factor for scaling: 2 Interpolation scheme: quintic B spline). Based on a separate analysis, this also improves the tracking of rapidly moving mitochondria. 5. Determine the optimal values for the FlowJ plugin. Crop out a small section of a movie that has the motion of interest and is representative of the data set. Directly measure the motion of interest using a kymograph or other trusted approach to establish ground truth flow. As an additional control, it may be helpful to construct a parallel movie where the motion of interest is absent. Set Σs = 2 and Σt =2, systematically vary τ and Σw and produce x y flow maps. First examine how the output varies as a function of Σw. Pick the smallest value that generates a clear flow field for the moving object, then for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Pedagogy Of The Oppressed By Paulo Freire Paulo Freire s book Pedagogy of the Oppressed analyzes the issues of different styles and techniques of teaching. Whether it be at school, home, or by a parent education can be pushed upon you in different forms. These manners of education can treat people as objects; use forms of paternalism due to authority over someone, and restrict people from having freedom and responsibilities. One of the mechanisms Freire talks about is banking education: Education thus becomes an act of depositing, in which the students are the depositories and the teacher is the depositor. Instead of communicating, the teacher issues communiqués and makes deposits, which the students patiently receive, memorize and repeat. This is the banking concept of education, in which the scope of action allowed to the students extends only as far as receiving, filing, and storing the deposits. Ever since I can remember I always noticed I would be in classes in school that portrayed banking education in some form. In this essay, I will talk about my college history class and how it functions, the perspective I have about my teacher, and how I m able to pass the class. Last fall semester is when I started college here at Del Mar. I had only enrolled in three classes, and being how I was only a freshman starting my first semester in a whole new environment, I wanted to make sure I was taking things slow. The class that stood out to me the most, concerning banking education, was my history 1301 class taught ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. John Maynard Keynes s Economic Theory And Policy After... At the start of the Great Depression, people in all affected countries believed that a free market based on supply and demand with no government control would deliver full employment. John Maynard Keynes came up with a theory as a counterargument: that aggregate demand is the single most powerful force in any economy. Keynes explains that free markets are not able to balance themselves out enough to lead to the full employment everyone was waiting for. The 1930s gave rise to Keynes ideas, especially after the publication of his revolutionary book The General Theory of Employment, Interest, and Money in 1936. Keynesian economics dominated economic theory and policy after World War II until the 1970s, when the issue of stagflation introduced itself to a disappointingly unprepared Keynes. (CITE JAHAN P.54) Keynes and His Theory John Maynard Keynes was a well known British economist, and is credited with the establishment of modern macroeconomics. One must remember that the concept of macroeconomics already existed, but Keynes addition includes a systematic approach to aggregate economic phenomena. (CITE SNOWDON/VANE P 13) While The General Theory of Employment, Interest, and Money might be his most famous work, he also had two other important works released before it. The first was The Economic Consequences of the Peace in 1919, arguing that the Versailles Treaty would lead to another war in Europe. The second, released just six years before General Theory, was A ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. The Roles Of Sophie Scholl There were about 67 million people living in Germany during the time of the Holocaust, however only a few had the bravery to speak out against the Nazis. Sophie Scholl was one of these courageous people. It is evident that Sophie Scholl is a great role model who impacted Germany because she wrote anti Nazi propaganda, fought for what she thought was right, and Germans today admire her. Sophie grew up during the Nazi takeover in Forchtenberg, Germany. Unlike most German families, hers had their own ideas about the Nazi party. Her father, who was a former mayor of several small towns in Germany, warned Sophie and her brothers about the new regime eventually abusing their power (Biography in Context). Her parents also encouraged their children to think for themselves and speak their minds (Student Resource Center). This parental support foreshadows what Sophie and her brother would become. The Scholl household was very supportive of their family members. When Sophie was twelve years old, she joined the League of German Girls. This was a pseudo Nazi organization (Pettinger). These organizations, called Hitler Youth Organizations, trained and educated German teenagers to become loyal followers of the Nazi Party (Zapotczny). Initially, Sophie excelled in the League of German Girls. She enjoyed the activities and was even promoted to a leadership position. However, Sophie eventually became skeptical about the organization she was in (Pettinger). As was typical ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Fitzgerald s Use Of Narrative Voice In The Great Gatsby How have writers used narrative voice and/or characterization to explore a social or intellectual concern in the two works you have studied? For ages, authors have strived to convey their interpretation of the social concerns and themes, using the literary texts as a medium. Their texts were not only intended for conveying, but also to form the basis for social and intellectual change. In Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi and Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, these key concepts have been clearly addressed. Persepolis is a graphic novel, portraying the life of Marji and how she experiences social changes around her in Iran. The Great Gatsby is a literary novel, set in the 1920 s, reflects on the American society and social status ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Scott Fitzgerald has effectively used characterization and narrative voice to explore various social concerns. The novel was produced during the 1920 s, referred to as the roaring twenties or the jazz age. The fruit of the economic boom also gave rise to many social issues which involve alcoholism, class, and domestic violence. The class in that period was divided into the new money, old money and no money. Fitzgerald very well integrated this social concern using characterization. Division of the west egg, East egg and the valley of ashes symbolized this social concern. Also, Tom Buchanan in the novel was characterized as an arrogant and hypocritical bully. People who have been brought up rich are expected have characteristics similar to Tom. Another social problem was incomplete and incompatible relationships among people. This was portrayed by the relationship between Daisy and Tom. While Nick, the narrator, judges the life of Daisy and Tom based on their lavish house. Yet, the narrator soon learns the imperfections in their life, portrayed by narrator voice such as Fragilely Bound and French Widows . Due to the economic boom, alcoholism was very prevalent in that period. Fitzgerald uses a unique way of deriving this social problem. Nick, the narrator, came to New York to earn money. However, his motifs were changed and he was shown to have been severely influenced by alcoholism. He also received treatment to overcome this after Gatsby died. Also, the narrator use ... • 8. The Heart Rate Recovery Times This experiment was performed to see the changes in the heart rate recovery times of in season, off season, and non athlete s hearts. We spent three days testing our runners, and their heart rate recovery times. Every student checked their initial heart rate, and then ran for 30 seconds. At the end of 30 seconds, we timed how long it took them for their heart rate to reach their normal again. After our research, we found Scientific Journals where scientists had performed similar experiments. We obtained information from Morganroth s hypothesis (Naylore 2012). He said that athletic hearts had morphed into something stronger. He concluded that athletes exercising developed cardiac hypertrophy. Our research made us more aware of the factors that could cause an athlete s heart to recover faster than a non athlete. Some of the factors we found were: hypertrophy, strength trained heart, and endurance trained heart. These factors could help determine why we concluded the results that we found. We concluded that the in season athlete s hearts recovered much faster than the other two categories. The in season athlete s heart recovered at an average rate of 41.8 seconds. The second fastest was the Off season athlete s heart which recovered at an average rate of 51.7 seconds, and the non athletes falling behind at 63.5 seconds. We believe that the in season athlete s heart recovered faster, because they are accustomed to exercising, and they are training each day for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Microsoft has equipped the organizations with the Windows server operating system and other server tools like Exchange Server, SQL Server, SharePoint Server, etc. In addition, there are inbuilt server tools like DNS Server, DHCP Server, File Server, and Active Directory to create a complete networking infrastructure inside an organization. However, the server and networking management using the traditional Microsoft tools become obsolete at a level. In this blog post, we ll discuss how these tools fail to serve the purpose and why the need of using third party tools arises. Scenarios 1. Managing Users in Large Organizations Let us suppose a case of a large organization has fifty different departments, each of which contains hundreds of employees segregated on different positions. A large IT helpdesk of at least 70 or more members is at least required to meet the IT requirements in this case. Suppose the IT staff is required to create the user accounts of 200 new users who ve to join in the different departments next week, audit 300 users of five departments, and to keep a check on the file modifications on the file server to trace the unauthorized accesses to the sensitive data. How much time will they take for these three tasks? Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the majority of the religious groups, as long as due respect is shown to the body, cadaver organ transplants are not forbidden (Garrett, Baillie, amp; Garrett, 2001). But in some cultures death is not the end of the soul and that the life of the body can be restored. Most families still refuse to donate the organs of their dying relatives despite all efforts made to increase donations. Harvesting may be thought of as violating the sanctity of the body. Donation may involve unwarranted mutilation of the body and so disrespect for the dignity of the human body (Garrett, Baillie, amp; Garrett, 2001). Individuals are urged to sign an organ donor card with little or no awareness of what that action can mean. How the death is determined may weigh in on the decision to donate. The potential recipient is rarely known, because tissue and compatibility tests must be done. There is always less ethical force in an unnamed potential person that a living identifiable one. The horror stories that make the headlines also deter consent for donation. The few illegal harvesting accusations which are published in newspapers and documented on television deter individuals from donating and allow them to see denial of consent as the barrier to exploitation and harm. There is also a fear that the organ donor may not actually be dead but declared dead prematurely so that the vital organs can be taken to benefit another human being. The Uniform ... • 13. Television Violence Essay Television violence and its effects on viewers has been a controversial issue for many years. Some viewers believe that there is an increasingly large amount of violence on television and this widespread public concern has quot;led to calls for stricter controls on the depiction of violence in programmes quot; (Gunter and McAleer 1990:92). Exactly how much violence is there on television though? Many cultivation theorists have studied this, acquiring data in the form of content analysis. They agree on a definition of a violent act, for example Gerbner in his study used the definition, quot;an overt expression of physical force against self or other, compelling action against ones will on pain of being hurt or killed, or actually ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is clearly obvious from the research already done concerning television and its effects, that violence is quite prevalent on British television. Of more concern however is the effect that those can have on its viewers. Does the violence on television really increase the violent attitudes and behaviour in individuals? Violence on television can do one of three things. The first is make us more violent (Huesmann 1982), the second is make us less violent (Feshbach 1972) and the third is to have no effect at all (Freedman 1984, Kaplan and Singer 1976). Most evidence has supported the first argument namely that television violence does increase our own violent behaviour. There are four main effects that cause this violent behaviour when viewing it on television. The first of these affects is arousal. It is believed that a violent programme increases levels of arousal and thus causes us to become more violent as we are not only excited by the programme but also agitated and nervous. This effect is not limited to violent programmes however, as a comedy programme may induce arousal in the form of amusement in the same way as a violent programme induces arousal in the form of anger. It is the type of arousal that occurs in the first place that determines the effect the programme has. Condry (1989:11) found that suspense programmes, comedy programmes and sport events ... • 14. Eight Chemical Reactions There are many reaction types that can occur when compounds come together to form different types of products. In chemistry, there are eight different basic types of reactions. The eight basic reactions include: combustion, synthesis, decomposition, precipitation, single replacement, double replacement, acid/base, and redox reactions. These reactions are categorized into their reaction type by their differences and similarities. The first type of reaction is combustion. A combustion reaction is when a substance is combined with oxygen and releases heat and light energy. An example of a combustion reaction is the combustion of hydrogen. When a balloon with oxygen and hydrogen is supplied with heat by a candle, it triggers an explosive ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Another known name for this type of reaction is a displacement reaction. These type of solutions mostly occur in liquid solution and the amount of energy used in this type of reaction is smaller than that of a synthesis or decomposition reaction. In this type of reaction, in a compound, an element replaces a similar element. For example we have elements A, B, and X. In this equation we heave element A + compound BX. Element A will replace element B to form B + AX. (A + BX B + AX) Another reaction is a double replacement. This reaction usually produces an insoluble gas or water. Double replacement is when in two compounds, ions will exchange places in a liquid solution (aqueous solution) to form a new compound. For example A, B, X, and Y are ions in the first part of the equation, AX + BY. The ions X and Y will replace each other to form a new compound to form AY + BX. ( AX + BY AY + BY) A different type of reaction would be an acid/base reaction. This reaction is a neutralization. An acid is a substances that looses protons which are H+ ions and a base is a substance that receives protons. When equal amounts of protons are lost by an acid and the same amounts of protons are being received by a base, they neutralize each other. That creates a product that is neither acidic nor basic by the two substances (acid and a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Built in the 1820s, it was a very popular form of transportation. Manufacturing factories and businesses developed in and around major metropolitan areas like Toronto and Montréal but the shift to an economy that measured wealth in money rather than land had devastating effects during the Great Depression. During the Great Depression, many Canadians moved into urban areas. This resulted in cramped and unsanitary living conditions where disease was rampant. It was during this time when what is often considered the Second Industrial Revolution began. In Canada, the revolution began with advances in brewing, flour milling, textiles, and shipbuilding but later evolved to mass automated moving assembly lines, large scale factories, and mass production of automobiles. The Second World War heavily pushed the Second Industrial Revolution and by the 1970s, the Digital Revolution was well underway. World War II ended the Great Depression and created many jobs all over the world. It sparked a massive intervention amongst state planners and by the war s end, Canada was at full employment. Industrial work peaked in the 1950s and deindustrialization began to occur in Canada and the USA in the 1960s, with the rise of automated machines. New and exciting advancements were being made to give new aircraft greater stability and range. After many demonstrations on exactly what an aircraft could do, the United States Army decided to adopt rotary wing aircraft to fill a search and rescue (SAR) role initially. During the Korean War, medical evacuations and search and rescue missions took up the majority of missions for our pilots. However, we were very limited in what we could achieve. While great for its time, the H 13 was very limited in what it could achieve. It was originally fitted with a piston driven engine. Eventually it would be upgraded to a turbine engine; however the frame was still heavy and even the upgraded turbine engine didn t make up for the lack of lift being generated by its measly two bladed rotor system.
