Competitive Advantage Of Zara
Initially, the efficient supply chain of the business is a good method to enhance its competitive
position. Supply chain refers to those associated operations and activities for converting inputs to
outputs. Such activities contain issues of operations, marketing and supply (Han, 2008). High level of
combination within the chain is the best method to get competitive benefit. Zara Company achieved
matchless success in having powerful supply chain. This company owns numerous branches all
around the world. In this essay, we will discuss supply chain of Zara, Zara s Fast Fashion distribution
system, and role of vertical and horizontal analysis in making competitive advantage for business. In

Enforcement of such system fast fashion is too good in decreasing the time of production. This is clear
in the case of Zara as recognizing the required fashion and applying or producing it in a short period
of time less than two weeks. This is too good for forming rapid answer for all clients requirements,
and so keeping clients satisfied. This system of fast fashion also helped Zara to produce more effective
styles. This included the production of 11,000 items, while in case of rivals we find that Gap produced
only 4,000 items, and H M produced only 2000 items. Moreover, the adopting of such system helped
the company reduce level of supply scant quantities , and this is too effective for satisfying clients as
they wear a unique model. All those issues helped Zara to support its name in the market, and so
despite of the different disadvantages, we find that Zara will

Freedom of Women to Be Prostitutes Essay
For centuries, women have been selling their bodies, in most cases prostitution, but it is not world s
oldest profession. Nevertheless, for as long as history states, prostitution has been around for as long
as the oldest professions in the world. Every aspect of history asserts even the slightest things about
prostitution existing. Prostitution has been a long term profession through out several decades,
whether it varies from being an adult star, escort, prostitute, a stripper etc... As long as they pay their
rights as a civilian of the country (taxes and such), they should be allowed to do whatever they want
with their body. In terms of legalization and morality issues (pertaining to religious reasons), it is the
woman s choice. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
King Henry II set up laws on prostitutes must be single and had a weekly inspection at the brothel to
make sure laws were not violated. In Italy, 1358 A.D., prostitution was welcomed. In such ways that
brothels were built in major Italian cities, which were government funded. The Great Council of
Venice even publicized prostitution to be absolutely indispensible to the world . Over 1802, France,
monitored brothels were created. The new agency monitored brothels on whether or not laws were
followed and no criminal activity took place. This was successful for over a century. Up until 1971
Nevada legalized prostitution, even Nevada is not the most liberal area of the US. Other countries that
have legalized and currently regulating prostitution is Austria, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Germany,
Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lebanon, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Panama, Peru, Senegal,
Switzerland, Turkey, Venezuela as well as some Australian states, and Mexico. Prostitution does not
only include whores, but adult film stars, escorts and strippers. If for centuries it has been working out,
there is no reason for prostitution to still be illegal. See France in 1802, even back then monitored
brothels worked out even for over a century. With the security today and more advanced reasoning,
people today are more than capable to make things like that work. Even far back to the 18th century
BCE, there was a code that honored prostitutes.

Religion And Religion In Madagascar Essay
The harmonious sounds of tattered trumpets and dusty violins filled the air as a parade of villagers
followed the cattle path to the top of the hill outside of Ambohimirary. The hilltop was crowded with
dozens of people from each branch of the families from the small farming village outside of the nation
s capital, Antananarivo (Bearak). Women and children danced with one another, swaying their hips to
the beat of the drum. Meanwhile, the men took a swig of their homemade rum and chanted in
anticipation of what was to come. The last individual finally made it to the top of the hill. The band
picked up its pace and the crowd roared, signaling the beginning of famadihana. My heart was

Most Malagasy people, including myself, recognize the existence of a supreme God. The deceased
serve as an intermediary between this supreme God and humankind and are viewed as having the
power to affect the fortunes of the living for good or evil ( Traditional Beliefs and Religion in
Madagascar ). Excessive hardship and struggles will ensue if the deceased are ever offended or
neglected. Along with the other ethnic groups of the central highlands of Madagascar, my tribe
celebrates famadihana, or the Turning of the Bones, to maintain the relationship between our ancestors
and the living. Famadihana is a locally performed ritual in which ancestral bodies are removed from
the family tomb and rewrapped with new burial shrouds (Larson 313). In the Merina tribe, we
celebrate famadihana every seven years. This ritual is an act of love toward our ancestors and a
process through which ancestors in turn bestow powerful blessings of human and agricultural fertility

Psychedelic Rock In The 1960s
The birth of the psychedelic, or as it was sometimes known, acid rock genre was the result of an
attempt to sonically stimulate the distorted perceptions experienced while under the influence of
hallucinogenic drugs such as mescaline, psilocybin and LSD. The term psychedelic had begun to be
applied to a few bands already in the early 1960s, with the Grateful Dead making their record debut in
the spring of 1967. By 1966, garage bands were exposed to the first media coverage of LSD and, in
some cases, may have had a band member who actually used LSD. Soon their song lyrics moved from
passing references to more vivid descriptions of psychedelic experience (Johnson Stax, 2006, p.414).

influenced in their sound, Iron Butterfly s was heavily tinged with a drug induced sonic flare which
was elemental in their track In A Gadda Da Vida . As musicologist, rock musician, and author Julian
Cope so eloquently put it, the music they unleashed was grounded for much of the time by a slothful
sludge ladled out over a super slowed beat more indicative of the overworked laboriousness of the
band members...rather than being the result of some chemically induced torpor

The Physics Of Swimming Is Science
Freestyle Stroke Essay
Swimming is science. When a person swims, they are displacing water. In Ancient Greek times, a
physicist named Archimedes discovered the principle of buoyancy. Archimedes Principle states that an
object in gravity applies a force, or a buoyancy, to whatever it is surrounded in. When a person
submerges him or herself in water, the water levels will rise. The density of a person or object
determines if its floatation. If an object is more dense than the water, it will sink. On the contrary, an
object lighter than water will float. There are various styles or strokes including breaststroke, freestyle,
and more. Freestyle swimming consists of many components that combine to efficiently swim.

The head is important. If the head is pressed down, the lower body will stay afloat. In our first few
days, our class practiced 6 foot and 9 vessels. We had a small competition that checked to see which
person could glide the furthest. The typical goals for the vessel competitions were 4 feet and 4.5 feet.
This taught our class how to properly use our body in the freestyle stroke to eliminate drag. Another
lesson we learned was to swim with high elbows. The pull of the water causes a lot of frontal drag and
keeping closer to the water surface reduced the amount of drag. This was another way to reduce drag.
Lower body movement is essential. Propulsion off of the wall could easily kick start swimming. The
stronger the push, the better. From there, a swimmer could start kicking. The first kick we learned was
the flutter kick, probably the most basic kick in swimming. With straight legs, move the legs up and
down alternatively. It requires the movement of hips, legs, and feet. Next, we learned about dolphin
kicks. This kick requires one to move their whole body like a wave. While streamlining, press the
chest down then release. As the chest rises, thrust the hips down with the legs following. The legs
must be tightly pressed together, knees should be slightly bent as the hips sink, and feet must be
pointed. As the lower body rises and the upper body dips, straighten the knees to push through the
water. Both kicks effectively propel a person

The Importance Of Motivation And Leadership In Historical...
Introduction
In this report, the author will look at two theoretical concepts, motivation and leadership in Historical
Cadbury. The reason the author selected these topics to speak about were; they were a crucial part to
the success of Cadburys. This report will include motivation and leadership concepts and will be
applied to the context of Historical Cadbury. I have chosen leadership and motivation as I believe they
were fundamental to the success of Cadburys. The purpose of this report is to demonstrate an
understanding of some of the dynamics and influences at play within Cadburys. The author will also
look to demonstrate how motivation and leadership impacts in the workplace. Another element of the
discussion will be about the concepts Cadburys used in order to accomplish their organisational goals.
In conclusion, the author will give their personal opinion on whether they believe motivation and
leadership had an impact on Cadburys in the historical era.
In 1824, John Cadbury opened a grocer s shop at 93 Bull Street, Birmingham. The Cadbury business
was born in 1831, when John Cadbury decided to begin producing on a commercial scale and bought
a four storey warehouse. Cadburys was built upon Quaker beliefs. In a Quaker community, a
struggling business was a liability, falling into debt was seen as a form of theft and was punished
severely (Cadbury, 2011).
In 1861, John Cadburys health declined and he retired, handing over the business to his sons Richard

The Negative Role Of Women In The Great Gatsby
Women are capable of bringing human beings in this world, and they live a lot longer than men. They
are like the sun, the whole world needs women but in other cases, this cannot be said for most women.
Based on The Great Gatsby written by F. Scott Fitzgerald and the motion picture Chicago directed by
Rob Marshall, both prove that during the 1920s, women had a negative influence in society. They
were seen as toys. They were manipulative over men and had a way of always getting what they
wanted using lust and acting a bit promiscuous. Rather than being seen as human beings, they were
seen as trophies and were not taken serious and were ignorant. They would only care about money or
fame. Even during the 1920 s women are portrayed as always being competitive and jealous towards
each other when it comes to receiving attention. In The Great Gatsby both Daisy and Myrtle are very
different women, but as females they held the same role, meaning that they both had in interest in
money and were both were hungry for money. In the novel, Gatsby described Daisy as having a voice
full of money (120) meaning all she cares about is money. For a long time, Gatsby tried his best to get
Daisy to notice him. In the past they were both in a relationship with each other, but there was a time
when Gatsby didn t have money, and joined the army. When that happened, Daisy lost contact with
him and began seeing other guys until she met Tom, the somewhat perfect male that was suitable to

Film Analysis Of The Great Gatsby
Director Baz Luhrmann s approach in producing The Great Gatsby was If some people are going to
hate it, why not go balls out? (Mensa, Time Magazine) No matter what there would be a myriad of
critics of The Great Gatsby soundtrack. Whether he followed the script entirely, used only classical
and jazz influences for the music or even produced a less intense film someone was going to have a
complaint. So why not give those who are going to hate it something substantial to hold onto? That s
just what he did; using his personal style of incorporating novel themed music with a relative genre
that s popular today. For The Great Gatsby, it was drawing inspiration from the Jazz Age and today s
hip hop, similar to Jazz in the sense of it s uprise from the underground to becoming widely known
and appreciated. Overall the soundtrack touches on old Jazz, party Jazz, and Hip Hop in a way that
reflects the behavior and luxury of the 1920s. As well as aspects of the characters in the novel,
especially within the song $100 bill by Jay Z. Most of the soundtrack was altered and produced
specifically for the film based on the novel. The producers of the film collaborated with several artists,
including Jay Z, Lana Del Rey, and Florence+The Machine to develop instrumentals that flowed with
the scenes. The co producer and supervisor Anton Monsted did not choose any song or artist by
accident. He carefully researched the background and relativity of the plot and genre for The Great
Gatsby.

of puberty and other teenage life problems, but, there are other reasons they are very aggressive out of
nowhere . The aggression really comes from the teenagers environment and/or the violence in the
video games they play. Kirsh stated that adolescents tend to play violent video games in their
development stage, which could cause them to respond to provocative situations with the greatest
aggression. (Kirsh 383) With teens going through their stages of development they could think that the
video games that they re playing frequently are normal ways of life. For example the actions they see
on the violent video games may later be seen be seen as ordinary actions for the adolescent. The
teenagers that play the most violent video games are most likely to be more aggressive. Being in an

The Exodus Of The Old Testament
Exodus is the earliest text in the Old Testament that creates a new identity and sense of community to
a group of people who had nothing. According to the Exodus there were a group of slaves who fled
Egypt and where led by a prophet named Moses, who also is the proclaimed author of the book. These
people where on a mission to find the promise land where they can be free from oppression and create
their own civilization. These claims are true are still debated to this day, but the text was written
around the 1400 B.C. Moses intentions for Exodus were to set laws for his new community to a group
of people who had only knew lives as slaves. In chapter 21 of Exodus there are a set of laws for the
new community that pander to push away their old lives to create a new identity in which men can be
equal with one another. The second verse within chapter 21 states, if thou buy an Hebrew servant, six
years he shall serve: and in the seventh he shall go out free for nothing ( Exodus , 21, 2). Immediately
the author set a law that if there are slaves then they must be released within six years, which creates
hope for potential slaves. Before Moses led the his followers out of Egypt there was no prospect of
any of them being set free from their lives as slaves. This law helps create a new community that will
release their male slaves. During this era men were dominant while women are treated as property and
evidence can be found in Exodus of this inequality. If his master have given

Cell phone usage while driving is a major source of distraction that could potentially lead to accidents
and consequently cause injury or loss of life. Technology has had a way of dealing with distractions by
coming up with hands free cell phones mounted on the dashboards of most vehicles. But, even so, cell
phones are still a source of distraction when driving regardless of the fact that they are hand held or

Saving lives is the number one motive of avoiding using mobile phones while driving. Research
indicates that people are more likely to get involved in an accident, which could potentially lead to
death if the act of multitasking, in this case driving and texting is in progress. For instance, in a study
that was carried out in a higher institution of learning in a time frame of about 18 months, university
students that were making use of a complex driving simulator came up with the conclusion that people
who use mobile phones when driving are eight times more likely to encounter a car crash than those
who do not (Park, 2017). Other research studies show that about 36 percent of young people have
been involved in an almost crash scenario because they or someone close to them was using a cell
phone while driving. Mobile phone usage while driving should not be allowed under any
circumstances. Despite the fact that there are many reasons why people should not use their mobile
phones when driving, it is normally very hard to do so. Additionally, there is a misunderstanding
amongst the authorities and in this case the law makers on the definition of distractions caused by
mobile phones. That is why one group thinks that mobile phone users should be banned completely
regardless of the fact that the users are using hand held or hands free phones. Another group thinks
that cell phones are not a distraction and hence the ban should be specific, i.e. so long as

Pride In The Old Man And The Sea
A tragic flaw is a character s shortcoming that eventually leads to the downfall of the character. In
many stories the hero has a tragic flaw or shortcoming. In The Old Man and the Sea, written by Ernest
Hemingway, Santiago s tragic flaw was his overwhelming pride. Pride can be defined as a feeling that
you respect yourself and deserve to be respected by other people or as a feeling that you are more
important than other people. Santiago relied on his unending pride to catch the marlin, but eventually
his pride got the better of him and he lost everything he had worked for. In the Old Man and the Sea,
Santiago s pride played a large role in his devastating plight. Santiago s pride is shown throughout the
novel in many ways, the major appearance being his yearning for honor and respect. As Santiago hadn
t caught a fish in 84 days, he wanted to prove his talent, strength and ability to himself and those
around him once again. In order to do this his pride urged him to fight as a hard as he could and put all

The Government is a source of help for many people. Sometimes this grand of a government fails on

different types of ideologies that the government controls its people. The people of Cannery Row have
created a socialist atmosphere to replace the government that has failed them.
Socialism in America began in Chicago IL, June 15 21, 1897. This ideology was founded at a joint

Proscenium and Concert
Title: Planning a concert particularly its facilities
Thesis statement: A concert would not be possible without considering the importance of an organized
and well equipped facility.
Successful concerts are what performers and organizer and audiences all hope for. This not only
means the thoughtful programming of quality music, but also a smoothly run performance and
production. Therefore, a lot of planning and making sure that everything is in order is the key to a
successful all out concert (Hudson, 2012). According to Vertudez, one of our interviewees, Planning
ahead of time [is the most important thing in organizing an event]. There could be some difficulties in
setting up the facilities if you would not plan ahead ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Currently, the Philippines has only two main concert venues that can occupy 10, 000 people
specifically, the Smart Araneta Coliseum and the SM Mall of Asia Arena. In 2014, the Philippine
Arena is expected to be opened in Bulacan. Even if it is being built by a religious congregation, the
said venue can still be available for other big events for it has 50, 000 sitting capacity. These venues
have comfortable seats and strict policies which make them best concert venues in the city. They have
more available facilities than open concert grounds because of sufficient air conditioning systems and
well maintained toilets. All of these are considered to put up concert facilities (Concepcion, 2011).
In order for a concert to be possible, it is necessary to need a committee. It is an important factor to
consider having to appoint a management team to ensure that the facilities in the concert are in good
condition. Furthermore, the team responsible in organizing the facilities should also be divided into
specific sections. For instance in the checking of acoustics, taking care of the number of seats as well
as the arrangement of it, decorating the whole venue and also the people who will be responsible for
cleaning the venue after the event. To greatly ensure and to be able to control the whole production,
setting up meetings regularly would absolutely help. Weeks or even months before the actual event,
everything should all be planned and set upped. Considering

The Issue Of International Relations
The issue of (in)security is increasingly present in academic debates and in national and international
political agendas. In the light of this scenario, many different theories in the field of International
Relations aim to explain (in)security in the modern world. One of the most influential approaches is
the theory of securitization , developed by the Copenhagen School , in which the work of Ole Wæver,
Barry Buzan, and others stand out. Moving away from traditionalist views on security, this theory
proposes that an issue will be considered an existential threat to be countered not because it possess an
objective danger in itself but because it was shaped/constructed, through a process called
securitization, to be perceived in that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After that, an investigation about the development of the construction of the drug dealer as a threat
within the Brazilian context will be held. Finally, the analysis will focus on the security policies
adopted by the government of Rio de Janeiro in relation to the drug issue. Here, it will be given more
attention to the phenomenon of the militarization of civil public space, and particularly of security
apparatus, as everyday forms of state coercion. In this sense, the model of community policing called
UPP (Pacifying Police Units) implemented in slums will be explored, and so the military invasions
that preceded the establishment of these units.
Like many states in Latin America, Brazil suffers from high rates of urban violence and an ongoing
militarized conflict against illegal drug dealing. Influenced by the North American conservative
politics in the 70s, the war on drugs has recycled the internal enemy from the image of the subversive
that is a result of the cycle of military dictatorships to the drug dealer , and has created conditions for
the intensification of a real bellicose security agenda to contain the problem (Batista and Lopes, 2004,
p. 8).
Regarding the security policies, since 2008, the Security Bureau in Rio de Janeiro initiated the
establishment of a Police Pacification Units program (UPP) in the slums. Based on the Colombian
experience of Medellín, the public security

The Arkenstone In J. R. Tolkien s The Lord Of The Rings
The Arkenstone
It was a globe with a thousand facets; it shone like silver in the firelight, like water in the sun, like
snow under the stars, like rain upon the Moon! (Tolkien 268). Another important symbol in The
Hobbit is the Arkenstone. The Arkenstone is not only the spiritual meaning of the quest but also a
symbol of greed, power, and the history of the dwarves.
The Arkenstone is a large part of the Durin s race of dwarves history. Discovered in the heart of the
mountain under the reign of Thrain I, a very distant ancestor of Thorin Oakenshield. The gem then got
its name, the Arkenstone, from an ancient word meaning precious stone. The jewel has since been
passed down from heir to heir of the Kingdom that is Erebor. The gem has been a crucial part of the
dwarves history for generations. When thinking of one object that represents Durin s race one thinks
of the Arkenstone.
The one who possesses the King s Jewel is the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
All his wealth attracted the evil dragon that is Smaug to take it. From that point on the stone became
so desirable that many wanted to own it and would often be blinded by their want and risking the lives
of themselves and many others. Just as Thorin did with the whole adventure. He risked the lives of
every dwarf and Bilbo just so he could call the Arkenstone his. When one really thinks about the
original plan for the quest, one would see how it was near impossible. How could a company of
thirteen dwarves and a hobbit possibly slay a dragon without help? This however did not cross Thorin
s mind for he was blinded by his own want to acquire the jewel. Bilbo was also affected by the
Arkenstone. Although knowing that Thorin wanted the stone for himself and that his main quest was
to retrieve it for him, Bilbo kept the stone for himself. The Arkenstone has many stories of it driving
dwarves mad with greed and I think it only suitable to say that it is in fact a symbol of

Conversion Disorder And Functional Neurological Symptom...
Conversion Disorder/Functional Neurological Symptom Disorder
Abstract
Functional Neurological Disorder Symptoms also known as conversion disorder, is a disorder that
doctors say isn t a real disorder that patients seem to make up. The appearance of conversion disorder
is often related to traumas or even milder stressors such as the loss of employment or divorce. The
following essay will give a general breakdown of what the conversion disorder is, what the symptoms
are, the pathophysiology aspect, possible treatment if any and why this particular disorder.
It s all in my head is a famous lyric from a song written by a well known Hip Hop artist Nelly, titled
Over and Over . But is it really all in one s head. There are many disorders that pertain to the mind,
well mostly all disorders with a mental illness, or a person over thinks or thinks too much about or
make a big deal of relates to the brain. Conversion Disorder is one of those many disorders that deal
with the psychological aspects of things. Conversion disorder also known as Functional Neurological
Symptoms Disorder (FNSD) involves motor, sensory, or seizure like symptoms that are incongruent
with any recognized neurological or medical disorders. Just like all psychological or physical disorder

Authoritative Parenting Style In The Little Mermaid
In 90210 the parents were Authoritarian parents, in the clip the parents established the rules and the
child wasn t allowed to say anything. Furthermore the household was patriarchal the dad was the
leader and everyone followed suite.
In The Little Mermaid the father was Authoritative, although the father laid down the rules he gave his
daughter and explanation of why she was in trouble. He was stern but he still showed compassion, and
he was just.
In Home Alone the mother was authoritative, she was a great disciplinarian, and however by using this
parenting style the son Kevin was able to use his problem solving skills to keep him safe.

In the beginning she used borderline Authoritarian Authoritative parenting style to lay down the rules,
however after she did her probing she used Authoritative parenting style by allowing her daughter to

In the movie brave the mother used Authoritarian parenting style, she established she is the Queen and
the Queen has the last say. However the daughter was strong willed, and she felt as though the mother
was a non involved parent stating she s never there for her. The dangers of being an Authoritarian
parent is that children quite often mix it up with the parent not caring or not being involved at all
because they don t take the time to hear them out.
On the TV show Sopranos the parent s were Authoritative parents, they allowed their son to make
decisions on his own and when he messed up they explained to him why he was wrong. However at
first the mother was being an Authoritarian because she was upset that she didn t use her better
judgment when allowing her son to go to NY although she knew he wasn t ready to make such a trip.

Why Is Disney World A Dream Come True
Disney World is known as the place Where Dreams Come True because of the princesses and fantasy
characters created by Walt Disney. Disney World is really a fun, amazing place to visit and is truly a
magical place. Disney World Resort was first envisioned by Walt Disney in the early 1960 s. Walt
wanted to make a place that would give people a chance to experience unique entertainment. This
place was called Disneyland and was located in California. Almost three years later, the Disney
planning team decided to make Disney World in Orlando,Florida because of the year round summers
and it was ranked first in tourist attraction. Construction started in April 1969 and planned to finish on
October 1, 1971. Nine thousand workers worked on Disney World for the two years it was in
construction. Finally on the special day Disney World was opened with around 10,000 people there to
celebrate. Today Disney World consists of four different kingdoms and lives up to its expectations of
making dreams come true. Transportation between kingdoms and to Disney World is very efficient.
Buses, trams, ferries, and a monorail are provided for people. You also don t have to wait very long for
transportation at the stations. A downside to transportation is, since Disney World has people from all
over the world, it can be very crowded in the stations. For example, in the monorail there are limited
seats and you are most likely going to have to stand. One drawback of this magical adventure is

Positive Principles Of Confucianism
To put the world in order, we must first put the nation in order; to put the nation in order, we must put
the family in order; to put the family in order, we must cultivate our personal life; and to cultivate our
personal life, we must first set our hearts right.
(Confucius)
The words above belong to Confucius, who was one of the most respected philosophers of all time. He
founded a social and political system of philosophy, and transmitted his ideas to a group of disciplines.
His teachings were later collected in a book known as the Analects by his followers. Confucius is
arguably the most influential person in Chinese history, and the effects of his teachings still remain
today. In short, Confucius was a Chinese philosopher and political ... Show more content on

For example, he cared much about being respectful and loyal to one s parents. Also, he defended that
women must be obedient towards their husband, and men must protect their wives. Another Confucian
family ritual is to value children, and to care about the word of the elderly women in family. These are
the examples of Confucian family rituals, and these rituals were already existed in Chinese family
system before Confucius, too. Confucius expressed these traditions in a clear and impressive way. As
a result of this, the Confucian family rituals have reached up to the present day , and they are still
being complied today. Women and men are still expected to be respectful and protective, children are
still highly valued, and elderly are still powerful within in the family today in China. In conclusion,
the family system of China today was organized by Confucius, and his teachings of family rituals are
the rituals that has been used before Confucius, by the time of Confucius, and after him up to

Writing For The Instant Messaging And Text Messaging...
Another reason it is essential to place an emphasis on creative writing in the classroom is because of
today s rapidly developing society. As the world has become so technologically advanced, there have
become more and more ways for people to use written communication to express their thoughts.
Where there was once snail mail and emails, now things have become as instantaneous as a text
message or Tweet. Since people seem to write with such haste and almost carelessness today, it is
important for students to be provided with slower paced writing exploration in the classroom. In
Writing for the Instant Messaging and Text Messaging Generation: Using New Literacies to Support
Writing Instruction, Sheelah M. Sweeney states, Teachers may be concerned about the way some
students write [...] imagining the potential negative impact on their students academic writing, but this
interest can be an instructional advantage (Sweeney, 2010, p. 121). While naturally there may be cause
for concern with the way students can erroneously communicate so quickly through the written word,
the unease teachers may have will actually be a good thing for students if these educators move
forward with awareness instead of ignorance. Technology is one aspect of society that will not be
regressing in the future, and the best way educators can adapt to this is by incorporating these
advancements into the education of students in years to come.
This article states that instead of shunning

The Growth Of The Corporate Bond Market
In the last few years, a number of things have changed:
There has been a significant increase in new corporate bond issues (and other hybrid securities) that
can be accessed by sophisticated retail investors, including growth of issues by unrated companies.
Ways for retail investors to access corporate bonds have continued to develop.
Regulatory changes to reduce impediments to retail investment in corporate bonds are slowly
occurring.
Ultimately, the maturation of the corporate bond market depends upon three key factors: underlying
demand of investors; potential supply by corporate issuers; regulatory and other impediments to
connecting investors and issuers.
Access has long been a problem for individual investors with an ... Show more content on

While there have been significant developments in the regulatory sphere to assist the development of
the retail corporate bond market, there remains some ambiguity about the treatment of SMSFs and

increasing relevance of fixed interest investments for funds with ageing members.

Do Fans Put Too Much Pressure In Sports
Do Fans Put Too Much Pressure on Their Favorite Professional Teams?
Have you ever thought about professional athletes having so much pressure on themselves? In every
sport fans put so much pressure on their teams to win. But what you don t see is how the players feel
about it. Fans put too much pressure on their sports teams, but this couldn t be a problem if we make a
solution. Fans can put so much stress on players of their favorite professional teams. You might not
even realize the impact you are making. During the regular season of any sport is a long journey. But
then when your team makes it into the playoffs or championship the pressure gets even higher on
those players. Is there ever really a time where fans should be sending death threats to any athlete?
Brandon Jacobs, a running back for the New York Giants, was sidelined the Giants opening game this
season with a hamstring injury. Because of this, he received a death threat. (Bocchino) This is one of
the best examples of how much pressure is on professional athletes. Fans sending threats to make sure
these players play good. After all these athletes are humans just like everyone and should not be put in
that situation. How should the professional team respond to fans that put this pressure on their
athletes? The best solution is to give them a warning or to not let them come to their games anymore.
It s the best way to be professional about it and so the players don t get hurt from the situation. For

This is clear in the case of Zara as recognizing the required fashion and applying or producing it in a short period of time less than two weeks. This is too good for forming rapid answer for all clients requirements, and so keeping clients satisfied. This system of fast fashion also helped Zara to produce more effective styles. This included the production of 11,000 items, while in case of rivals we find that Gap produced only 4,000 items, and H M produced only 2000 items. Moreover, the adopting of such system helped the company reduce level of supply scant quantities , and this is too effective for satisfying clients as they wear a unique model. All those issues helped Zara to support its name in the market, and so despite of the different disadvantages, we find that Zara will ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Freedom of Women to Be Prostitutes Essay For centuries, women have been selling their bodies, in most cases prostitution, but it is not world s oldest profession. Nevertheless, for as long as history states, prostitution has been around for as long as the oldest professions in the world. Every aspect of history asserts even the slightest things about prostitution existing. Prostitution has been a long term profession through out several decades, whether it varies from being an adult star, escort, prostitute, a stripper etc... As long as they pay their rights as a civilian of the country (taxes and such), they should be allowed to do whatever they want with their body. In such ways that brothels were built in major Italian cities, which were government funded. The Great Council of Venice even publicized prostitution to be absolutely indispensible to the world . Over 1802, France, monitored brothels were created. The new agency monitored brothels on whether or not laws were followed and no criminal activity took place. This was successful for over a century. Up until 1971 Nevada legalized prostitution, even Nevada is not the most liberal area of the US. Other countries that have legalized and currently regulating prostitution is Austria, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lebanon, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Panama, Peru, Senegal, Switzerland, Turkey, Venezuela as well as some Australian states, and Mexico. Prostitution does not only include whores, but adult film stars, escorts and strippers. If for centuries it has been working out, there is no reason for prostitution to still be illegal. See France in 1802, even back then monitored brothels worked out even for over a century. With the security today and more advanced reasoning, people today are more than capable to make things like that work. • 4. Religion And Religion In Madagascar Essay The harmonious sounds of tattered trumpets and dusty violins filled the air as a parade of villagers followed the cattle path to the top of the hill outside of Ambohimirary. The hilltop was crowded with dozens of people from each branch of the families from the small farming village outside of the nation s capital, Antananarivo (Bearak). Women and children danced with one another, swaying their hips to the beat of the drum. Meanwhile, the men took a swig of their homemade rum and chanted in anticipation of what was to come. The last individual finally made it to the top of the hill. The band picked up its pace and the crowd roared, signaling the beginning of famadihana. Excessive hardship and struggles will ensue if the deceased are ever offended or neglected. Along with the other ethnic groups of the central highlands of Madagascar, my tribe celebrates famadihana, or the Turning of the Bones, to maintain the relationship between our ancestors and the living. Famadihana is a locally performed ritual in which ancestral bodies are removed from the family tomb and rewrapped with new burial shrouds (Larson 313). In the Merina tribe, we celebrate famadihana every seven years. This ritual is an act of love toward our ancestors and a process through which ancestors in turn bestow powerful blessings of human and agricultural fertility upon the living ... • 5. Psychedelic Rock In The 1960s The birth of the psychedelic, or as it was sometimes known, acid rock genre was the result of an attempt to sonically stimulate the distorted perceptions experienced while under the influence of hallucinogenic drugs such as mescaline, psilocybin and LSD. The term psychedelic had begun to be applied to a few bands already in the early 1960s, with the Grateful Dead making their record debut in the spring of 1967. By 1966, garage bands were exposed to the first media coverage of LSD and, in some cases, may have had a band member who actually used LSD. Soon their song lyrics moved from passing references to more vivid descriptions of psychedelic experience (Johnson Stax, 2006, p.414). It was LSD which would have the greatest influence on ... • 6. The Physics Of Swimming Is Science Freestyle Stroke Essay Swimming is science. When a person swims, they are displacing water. In Ancient Greek times, a physicist named Archimedes discovered the principle of buoyancy. Archimedes Principle states that an object in gravity applies a force, or a buoyancy, to whatever it is surrounded in. When a person submerges him or herself in water, the water levels will rise. The density of a person or object determines if its floatation. If an object is more dense than the water, it will sink. On the contrary, an object lighter than water will float. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The head is important. If the head is pressed down, the lower body will stay afloat. In our first few days, our class practiced 6 foot and 9 vessels. We had a small competition that checked to see which person could glide the furthest. The typical goals for the vessel competitions were 4 feet and 4.5 feet. This taught our class how to properly use our body in the freestyle stroke to eliminate drag. Another lesson we learned was to swim with high elbows. The pull of the water causes a lot of frontal drag and keeping closer to the water surface reduced the amount of drag. This was another way to reduce drag. Lower body movement is essential. Propulsion off of the wall could easily kick start swimming. The stronger the push, the better. From there, a swimmer could start kicking. The first kick we learned was the flutter kick, probably the most basic kick in swimming. With straight legs, move the legs up and down alternatively. It requires the movement of hips, legs, and feet. Next, we learned about dolphin kicks. This kick requires one to move their whole body like a wave. While streamlining, press the chest down then release. As the chest rises, thrust the hips down with the legs following. The legs must be tightly pressed together, knees should be slightly bent as the hips sink, and feet must be pointed. As the lower body rises and the upper body dips, straighten the knees to push through the water. Both kicks effectively propel a person ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The reason the author selected these topics to speak about were; they were a crucial part to the success of Cadburys. This report will include motivation and leadership concepts and will be applied to the context of Historical Cadbury. I have chosen leadership and motivation as I believe they were fundamental to the success of Cadburys. • 9. The Negative Role Of Women In The Great Gatsby Women are capable of bringing human beings in this world, and they live a lot longer than men. They are like the sun, the whole world needs women but in other cases, this cannot be said for most women. Based on The Great Gatsby written by F. Scott Fitzgerald and the motion picture Chicago directed by Rob Marshall, both prove that during the 1920s, women had a negative influence in society. They were seen as toys. They were manipulative over men and had a way of always getting what they wanted using lust and acting a bit promiscuous. Rather than being seen as human beings, they were seen as trophies and were not taken serious and were ignorant. They would only care about money or fame. Even during the 1920 s women are portrayed as always being competitive and jealous towards each other when it comes to receiving attention. In The Great Gatsby both Daisy and Myrtle are very different women, but as females they held the same role, meaning that they both had in interest in money and were both were hungry for money. In the novel, Gatsby described Daisy as having a voice full of money (120) meaning all she cares about is money. For a long time, Gatsby tried his best to get Daisy to notice him. In the past they were both in a relationship with each other, but there was a time when Gatsby didn t have money, and joined the army. When that happened, Daisy lost contact with him and began seeing other guys until she met Tom, the somewhat perfect male that was suitable to her ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 10. Film Analysis Of The Great Gatsby Director Baz Luhrmann s approach in producing The Great Gatsby was If some people are going to hate it, why not go balls out? (Mensa, Time Magazine) No matter what there would be a myriad of critics of The Great Gatsby soundtrack. Whether he followed the script entirely, used only classical and jazz influences for the music or even produced a less intense film someone was going to have a complaint. So why not give those who are going to hate it something substantial to hold onto? That s just what he did; using his personal style of incorporating novel themed music with a relative genre that s popular today. For The Great Gatsby, it was drawing inspiration from the Jazz Age and today s hip hop, similar to Jazz in the sense of it s uprise from the underground to becoming widely known and appreciated. Overall the soundtrack touches on old Jazz, party Jazz, and Hip Hop in a way that reflects the behavior and luxury of the 1920s. As well as aspects of the characters in the novel, especially within the song $100 bill by Jay Z. Most of the soundtrack was altered and produced specifically for the film based on the novel. The producers of the film collaborated with several artists, including Jay Z, Lana Del Rey, and Florence+The Machine to develop instrumentals that flowed with the scenes. The co producer and supervisor Anton Monsted did not choose any song or artist by accident. He carefully researched the background and relativity of the plot and genre for The Great Gatsby. ... The violence in video games is not always noticeable to most adults or more specifically the non gamers . While the graphics in a violent video game are better and more realistic than a general user video game it s more tempting to play. Teenagers seem to be aggressive already at moments because of puberty and other teenage life problems, but, there are other reasons they are very aggressive out of nowhere . The aggression really comes from the teenagers environment and/or the violence in the video games they play. Kirsh stated that adolescents tend to play violent video games in their development stage, which could cause them to respond to provocative situations with the greatest aggression. (Kirsh 383) With teens going through their stages of development they could think that the video games that they re playing frequently are normal ways of life. For example the actions they see on the violent video games may later be seen be seen as ordinary actions for the adolescent. • 12. The Exodus Of The Old Testament Exodus is the earliest text in the Old Testament that creates a new identity and sense of community to a group of people who had nothing. According to the Exodus there were a group of slaves who fled Egypt and where led by a prophet named Moses, who also is the proclaimed author of the book. These people where on a mission to find the promise land where they can be free from oppression and create their own civilization. These claims are true are still debated to this day, but the text was written around the 1400 B.C. Moses intentions for Exodus were to set laws for his new community to a group of people who had only knew lives as slaves. In chapter 21 of Exodus there are a set of laws for the new community that pander to push away their old lives to create a new identity in which men can be equal with one another. The second verse within chapter 21 states, if thou buy an Hebrew servant, six years he shall serve: and in the seventh he shall go out free for nothing ( Exodus , 21, 2). Immediately the author set a law that if there are slaves then they must be released within six years, which creates hope for potential slaves.
