What is Creativity? Are these clips examples of creativity? Is this?
Creativity Defined The Dictionary defines “creativity ” as . . . “ the ability to  transcend traditional ideas , rules, patterns,  relationships etc. and  to create meaningful new ideas , forms,  methods, interpretations etc.  originality, progressiveness, or  imagination” Creativity  (or  creativeness ) is a mental process involving the generation of new ideas or concepts, or new associations between existing ideas or concepts. Wikipedia Creative thinking should be both  original  and  appropriate
In simpler terms. . . A simple modern conception of creativity is that it is simply the act of making something new. Imagination Innovation originality  and  appropriateness New ideas… which work!
Benefits of Creativity In every activity, being creative is important. In the most activities you require creativity in order to devise appropriate solutions to the specific problems you are faced with.
Creativity in Games Example - Attacker with ball must get past  defenders . Attacker’s creativity could provide the  solution,  as he could pass the defender by doing something new with the ball e.g. a new trick OR . . The attacker do a something which is not necessarily new e.g. a step over in football/crossover in basketball. This is an example of being RE-CREATIVE  Performing skills which have been done before, but in that individual player’s own unique way.
Creativity in Dance In dance, being creative plays a very important role in the expression of emotions and ideas through movement, in an  original  way. It is this expression of ideas, through creative movements (often linked with the accompanying music) which allows the dance to be easily interpreted. This, of course, is very important as the aim of most dance performance is to convey an idea or express and emotion to an audience.
Summary Creativity helps us as performers to invent new solutions to problems we are faced with in any activity. Creative thinking should provide  original  and  appropriate  solutions to the problems faced. When an individual performs their own unique version of something which has been done before, they are said to be being  re-creative.
