The document defines creativity as the ability to generate innovative ideas and manifest them. It discusses Wallis' four-stage model of the creative process: preparation, incubation, illumination, and verification. Characteristics of creative people are described, such as being both energetic and focused, as well as proud yet modest. The components of creativity include imagination, flexibility, decision making, communication, motivation, and collaboration. Various techniques for creative thinking are also outlined, like mind mapping, lateral thinking, and changing perspectives. Finally, potential blockages to creative ideas like tradition, negativism, and fear of failure are listed.
Creativity is a mental process involving the generations of new ideas or concepts or new association between existing ideas or concepts.
Creativity involves the generation of new ideas or the recombination of known elements into something new, providing valuable solutions to a problem.
Concept and Definitions of Creativity, nature of Creativity, Stages of Creativity, Elements of Creativity, Characteristics of Creativity and creative child, role of Teachers in fostering Creativity.

Creativity is a discipline we need more than. But the right conditions are needed for it to thrive. Taking a look at academia, science and recent writing about ideas- this presentation uncovers the 11 conditions required for creativity to flourish.
THE OBJECTIVES OF LECTURE AND ASSESSMENT TASK 3A are:
• To create as many ideas as possible, focusing on breadth of ideas, not necessarily depth.
• To analyze, organize and filter the ideas
• To select the best possible options for an effective design solution
• To illustrate the best ideas in form of sketches
• To prepare for an individual and/or group critique
• To implement the feedback
The first prototype of our approaches to move beyond design thinking at DNA. Touching on a number of new tools and techniques as well as theoretical positions from a number of sources. Very much the bleeding edge of our current position.

How to put people at the centre of planning people powered campaigns - Tracy ...more onion
Presentation from ECF Europe 2019: https://europe.ecampaigningforum.com In this workshop we will explore the key principles of human centred design and how to apply these to your campaigns for change. We'll look at what it means to build a campaign on empathy to engage new audiences, and use insights from empathetic understanding to spark creative ideas. We'll practice the key principles behind creative collaboration and you'll walk away with a framework and methods you can take home to come up with creative campaign ideas with your own team. Finally we will explore what it means to prototype and test campaign ideas early on. I'm not talking about A/B testing here, rather qualitative testing to ensure you're headed in the right direction from the beginning. This will be a hands on workshop with tools you can use and examples of campaigns that have put this model into practice.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

2. • Creativity is the ability to
generate innovative ideas and
manifest them
from thought into reality. The
process involves original
thinking and then producing.
• Creativity is defined as the
tendency to generate or

and entertaining ourselves
and others.

4. Creativity and innovation
• creativity is the ability to think and act in ways
that are new and novel. In our minds, there
are two kinds of creativity, innovation and
invention. Innovation is thinking
creatively about something that already exists
(e.g., the tape recorder, Walkman, and CD
player are all innovations on the phonograph).

• Preparation
• Incubation
• Illumination
• Verification

8. In the preparation stage, we define the problem, need, or desire, and
gather any information the solution or response needs to account
for, and set up criteria for verifying the solution's acceptability.
In the incubation stage, we step back from the problem and let our
minds contemplate and work it through. Like preparation,
incubation can last minutes, weeks, even years.
In the illumination stage, ideas arise from the mind to provide the
basis of a creative response. These ideas can be pieces of the whole
or the whole itself, i.e. seeing the entire concept or entity all at
once. Unlike the other stages, illumination is often very brief,
involving a tremendous rush of insights within a few minutes or
hours.
In verification, the final stage, one carries out activities to
demonstrate whether or not what emerged in illumination satisfies
the need and the criteria defined in the preparation stage.

13. 8 Creative Thinking Techniques and
The Tools
1 Mind Mapping
The key to mind mapping is to take note of every idea
that comes up. Don’t neglect anything, no matter how
far-fetched it may seem.
2 The Checklist
1. Why?
2. Where?
3. When?
4. Who?
5. What?
6. How

14. 3. Six Thinking Hats
White Hat – Facts, Red Hat – Emotions, Black
Hat – Judgement, Caution, Yellow Hat – Logic,
Green Hat – Creativity, Blue Hat – Control
MANU H NATESH MBA,M.Com. BMSEAC

15. 4. Lateral Thinking
look at their situation differently, to step
sideways for a second if you will. This allows
people to re-examine their predicament from
a much more creative point of view.
5. Random Word Generation
Simply pick two random words and try and tie
your content to it in the most imaginative way
possible. Simple as that.
MANU H NATESH MBA,M.Com. BMSEAC
manu@bmsec.ac.in
16. 6. Picture Association
If you’re truly stuck for ideas, perform an image search on
your topic of choice, pick a random photo. Work
backwards from the picture, developing a story around
how the photo was taken.

17. 7. Change Perspective
This can often be hard to do, but try putting
yourself in other people’s shoes.
8. Get Up and Go Out
People underestimate the value of being bored. If
you work around screens all day, if can often
prove both relaxing and rewarding to just get up
and walk about for a bit. Let your mind wander
instead of focussing on a task so hard it hurts.
