This document summarizes an eTwinning project between three schools in Europe on the topic of fashion. The project's objectives were to broaden students' cultural horizons using English, use ICT tools for communication, and explore issues related to fashion, environment and eating disorders. Students from Spain, Lithuania and Sweden participated in blog discussions, quizzes and wiki activities about fashion in their countries and its history. They also collaborated on fashion books and presentations using various online tools.

The project expanded this year to include schools in Mexicantown, a unique community in Southwestern Detroit with a student body comprised of English-speakers, bilingual students, and English Language Learners. It is the project’s goal to promote self-esteem by emphasizing the value of literacy and the power of positive self-expression.

The design of this interdisciplinary experiential project was based on the need to offer a higher quality of education and the search for ways to connect school with life. In particular, the starting point was to link the pedagogical dimension of its implementation with the technological one, so that the participating teachers could develop professionally and the students could reap the greatest possible benefits. Ways were sought so as to study the subject in a multifaceted way, combining as many scientific fields as possible, in order to help students develop language literacy, communication skills and intercultural awareness.
This eTwinning project aims to create networks of collaborative work by sharing activities with ITC or web 2.0 tools, develop in the primary classroom, in different European countries. Each teacher will share creative activities developed with their students through photographs, videos, accompanied by a brief framework for the other teachers can accomplish. Activities should preferably be shared with classes of the same grade. These activities may be of different areas of the curriculum of primary education.
