Students from high schools in Greece, Italy, Hungary, and Estonia will collaborate over 4 weeks to create photo albums of their cities. Each student will take and upload photos to present places, people, and moments in their city. Students will then vote on the most interesting photos and work in teams to incorporate the photos into a Google Presentation and Picasa album with comments. They will also research websites about their cities. The goals are to develop language, collaboration, critical thinking, and intercultural skills through sharing experiences of their different locations.

The project aimed to develop students' communication, collaboration, creativity and ICT skills while raising cultural awareness.
VLARINA - An eTwinning project 2012-13 (Greece-Serbia-Italy)
The Students participating in this project had the opportunity to meet fellow mates from other European (Mediterranean) countries and communicate with them via e-mail or via instant messaging. They developed friendly relations with each other and shared details about their daily lives, traditions, cultures, perceptions, ideas, lifestyle.Establishing a common point of view of the past, students explored how the Mediterranean Sea is still the bridge between different cultures and religions.
All students developed their English language vocabulary and skills. They also developed their intercultural skills, exchanged ideas, gifts and postcards and also made use of a variety of resources in order to upload powerpoint presentations, documents, files and images about their countries on twinspace.
Last but not least students familiarised themselves with working in a virtual environment, identified and discussed the challenges they face living and working in them. The most important thing is that they made new friends and they gained insights from online school collaborations which will be valuable and worth remembering a life time.

Eratosthenes of Cyrene was a famous Greek mathematician, astronomer, and historian born in 276 BC who died in 195 BC. He solved a mathematical problem involving finding the edge length of a cube with twice the volume of a cube with an edge length of 2 cm, which is the cube root of 16, or 4.

Demetrios Christodoulou is a Greek mathematician and physicist known for proving the nonlinear stability of Minkowski spacetime in general relativity in collaboration with Sergiu Klainerman. He received his PhD from Princeton University under John Wheeler and has held professorships at several prestigious institutions. Christodoulou made important contributions to relativity theory, such as discovering the Christodoulou memory effect and showing that naked singularities can theoretically form outside black holes, challenging previous beliefs in physics.
Heron
Heron of Alexandria was an ancient Greek mathematician and engineer who lived in Alexandria between the 1st century BC and 1st century AD. He is considered one of the greatest experimenters of antiquity. He published descriptions of inventions like the aeolipile steam engine and an early windwheel. Heron also described methods for calculating square roots and is most closely associated with Heron's Formula for calculating the area of a triangle from its side lengths.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

- 4. Description Students from partner schools create a photo album presenting their city. Students take and upload photos of places, people, interesting moments, etc., in order to give a profile of their city and life there. Students from the other school(s) vote on the most interesting photos that their partners have taken

Pedagogical basis: to develop writing and reading skills in a foreign language; to develop collaborative writing and proof-reading skills; to develop critical thinking skills when looking for, selecting and organizing relevant information on the chosen topic; to learn basic web writing and graphical design rules;
- 6. • to take digital pictures and use them in articles; • to use ICT collaborative tools for publishing, editing, commenting; • to communicate efficiently with both classmates and partners abroad; • to develop their inter-cultural skills.

The students will use the voki to introduce themselves 2. the students will be in three teams. the 1st team will photo their city, the 2d will make the google presentation with comments for everyone of the photos. create the picasa’ s photo album the 3d will find websites which will be about their cities – the teacher and one or two students will organize the twinspace wikis, so it will be ready to upload their materials
