Scout Meeting Narrative
It was early September, the beginning of the fall season. The scorching summer sun had long been
gone and the golden maple leaves had already begun to tumble to the ground. A crisp chill strikes the
evening with a faint tap as I exit my mom s shimmering silver minivan and make my way into the all
too familiar elementary school. It was only a couple days before when my good friend, Chloe, met me
outside of our conjoined classrooms to suggest I attend a girl scout meeting. At the time, I absolutely
dreaded meeting new people. I was quite shy and avoided human interaction as best as possible, with
the exception of the people whom I already knew before hand and was comfortable conversing with
them during the 30 minute recesses. It ll be a lot of fun, she ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

You should come. It s every Thursday afterschool at 6 o clock. We both walked down the brief steps
and headed towards the rock path that lead up to where the buses would park before and after school
to drop and pick students up. I ll think about it. I responded. The rest of the time was spent in silence
as we waited for the tawny bus, thinking the only thing I was doing on Thursday night was reading
another R.L. Stine book. Yet, here I was in the airless wind, with my mother walking close behind,
about to enter Central Elementary School for the second time today. Without the usual sea of students
crowding the halls, the school felt empty and barren. Voices could be heard deeper down the hall,
sounds of laughter from both children and adults. Light illuminated the door of the library, we walked
down the hallway towards the noise

Good Life Analysis
What is your version of the good life using three aspects of life and is it the same as the person next to
you? Everyone has their own idea of the ideal life and no two people have the same exact idea. Some
may have the idea of money, clothes, and cars while another may have the idea of family, no death,
and a big house. The two individuals have two completely different points of view, interests, likes,
dislikes, and aspirations. My version of the good life is nothing like the other examples but it is okay
because it is supposed to be different. Personally my ideal life include having enough money to
sustain and be comfortable, having a successful career, and having a lifetime supply of puppies and
dogs. There are reasons behind why I have chosen these specific aspects of a possible life and they
will be explained in the paragraphs to follow.
I chose the first aspect to be money because I want to have enough money to get my family and me in
a good place. A place where we would not have to worry about making ends meet but a place where
we could have all our basic needs met. This would be sustained by my husband and I have decent
paying jobs. For instance, him being a construction ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

to sustain and be comfortable because I did not want my family to have to struggle for anything. Next
was my dream career as an equine veterinarian because it would help my family and I not struggle
money wise and I would love work. Last was a lifetime supply of puppies and dogs just because they

Nursing Shortage and Nurse Turnover
Nursing shortage and Nurse Turnover
The ongoing instability evidenced from the high mobility of qualified nurses in the nursing workforce
has raised many questions about the issue of nursing shortage and nurse turnover (Gates Jones, 2007).
The paper below discusses the issues of nursing shortage and nurse turnover. The paper also describes
how leaders as well as managers in the nursing fraternity and other leaders can resolve those problems
effectively and the different applicable principles, skills, roles of the leader, and theories of leadership
and management.
There are various factors that are contributing to the current nursing shortage and turnover. Apparently
the major contributing factors in the USA are a population of nurses that are getting older without
adequate replacement, there are fewer than expected faculties dedicated to nursing, there are more
career fields opening up particularly for women hence the alternative choices instead of nursing,
federal government s failure to fund the nursing education across the country, generally unpleasant
working conditions and terms, poor retention of the nurses as well as an overstretched hence
overworked nursing staff. According to Paller (2012), the nursing shortage in different countries for
example the United States tends not to be the only growing problem, but has also become a complex
one. Nursing shortage and nurse s turnover has become the worsening predicament in the health care

The New Meaning Of Educational Change Essay
According to Michael Fullan (2016) in his book, The New Meaning of Educational Change,
successful organizations that demonstrate change followed principled concepts of change. The reason
for their success if that there is tangible proof of alignment in keeping components of actions. Fullan
(2016) stated that successful change incorporates five factors. In this essay, three of the five factors
will be discussed and an example of an organization using components of the change be revealed.
Often when organization shave to go through the process of change it means either they have gone
through change to repair broken areas or they are going through change as a reflective exercise before
embarking on a larger scope of practice perhaps to expand into new growth within their organization.
In either course, the larger concern is that organizations must embrace change and engage in
meaningful constructed ways to promote the best growth with the fewest steps to reach
accomplishment. A key decision factor to change is whether an organize will change because they
adopt a model and see a better way or whether they want to save their resources. Fullan (2016)
suggested that the reason for the change is largely to work is because, the organizations, Define
closing the gap as the overarching goal, Assume that lack of capacity is the initial problem and then
work on it continuously, and Stay the course through continuity of good direction by leveraging
leadership, (Fullan, 2016,

Individuality And Uniqueness In Emerson s Self Reliance By...
1. In the essay Self Reliance, Ralph Waldo Emerson addressed the topic of originality and uniqueness
to depict the idea that these are the qualities that make people great. Emerson stated that We but half
express ourselves, and are ashamed of that divine idea which each of us represent in order to argue
that each person has a uniqueness because their environments is unique (Emerson 2). The quote infers
that every person in society has an ability to possess a unique idea. Every person has a unique idea,
which means that every person can become a free thinker. Those who do not act on their thoughts and
ideas due to societal rules lose the chance to become unique. Emerson believed that Society is a wave.
The wave moves onward, but the water of which it is composed does not , meaning something sparks
society to do something, everyone starts doing it but why they do it is lost over time (Emerson 20).
The wave of society represents the masses and the water that makes up the wave are the individuals in
society. Every person has an ability to possess a divine thought but cannot ferment it because of
societal restraints (the wave). Due to the influence of society, one lacks the strength to act on their
original thought and follows the crowd. Martin Luther acted on his original thought but thousands of
people adopted his thoughts, even though the reasons for his regional thought are no longer present.
Instead of creating and following their own ideas, they adopted Luther s instead. In society, many
people follow and imitate well established beliefs, thus leading to the lack of divine thought. In the
reading, Emerson came to a conclusion that all people have divine thoughts but cannot act on them
because of societal influences.
2. In the reading titled Self Reliance, Ralph Waldo Emerson addressed the topic of truth and honesty.
According to Emerson, one who went Upright and vital, and speak the rude truth is unique (Emerson
4). Emerson followed this quote stating that one shall Speak what you think now in hard words, and
tomorrow speak what tomorrow thinks...though it contradicts everything (Emerson 7). What Emerson
views as a man simply stating his thoughts and ideas can be seen in society as a contradiction in

When Thinking Of Bob Dylan
Deven Fiandaca
English IV
Mr. Wormwood
Period 4
When thinking of Bob Dylan, two immediate things come to mind. First off, and most obvious, Mr.
Dylan is known for his nasally voice. This seems to be the first topic of discussion when Bobs name
comes up. Secondly, and more importantly, Bob is known for his talent of song writing, unlike many
other artists in today s world, bob tells a story with all of his songs. Many of his songs are over 5
minutes long, for those who don t know much about music, this is extremely long. He takes time and
puts in immense effort in all of his work, which is why Bob is known for his great work and the
reason for Dylan winning the Nobel Prize for Literature this past year.
Today, I will be reviewing and analyzing the album Desire by Bob Dylan. This album was released on
January 5th, 1976. The entire albums length is 56 minutes and 13 seconds, consisting of 9 songs. This
album contains one of Bob s most famous songs, which will be the first song I will be reviewing. The
album was co written by Jacques Levy. The album is made up of many story songs. This album alone
stirred up some controversy, regarding one of his songs named Joey .
Joey was one of Bob s longest and most famous songs. The song has a length of 11 minutes. This
piece by Dylan stirred up a lot of controversy regarding the gangster Crazy Joey Gallo. Although
Gallo was accused of two murders, this song seems to be sympathizing and glorifying him. The song

Child Trafficking Is A Universal Issue
According to the Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women
and Children (2000), child trafficking is the recruitment, transportation, transfer, harbouring or receipt
of children for the purpose of exploitation. It is a violation of their rights, their well being and denies
them the opportunity to reach their full potential. Cathy Paris once said, Truthfully, human trafficking
is just a polite way to say modern day slavery. That being said, no human is adequate to legislate and
alternate a fellow human, without that humans assent. Even though slavery was abolished centuries
ago, it still lingers on secretly in many countries in the world. Unfortunately, Child trafficking is a

According to the World Bank report Ghana has a population of approximately 25.90 million and GDP
of 47.93 billion dollars in 2013(Worldbank.org, 2014). That goes to say that there should be enough
resources to be able to implement full measures to invest in education and job creation so as to
alleviate poverty in the country. For most non Western countries, the reasons why most of these
important issues are overlooked is because of systemic corruption.
Corruption is the only logic answer that can explain the neglect of this phenomenon. Tragically, the
legislature of Ghana and in addition other African nations permits and supports these misbehaviors.
Degenerate practices are sought after for own self increase. Thus the reasons explicable for the growth
of Child trafficking in Ghana are neglect by the government, the fear of the cost to be incurred by the
government if child trafficking is to be tackled and finally the absence of an effective the rule of law
in Ghana. Corruption is ultimately the only logic reason why all the factors mentioned above would
thrive. Since the economy of Ghana is steadily growing, why is this prevalent in the rural areas?
Through analysis of the topic of Child Trafficking in Ghana I argue that even though it is not yet a
widespread issue, as we know corruption to erode, in years to come if measures are not put into place,
it will become a nationwide calamity. Therefore, the objective of this

Shawshank Redemption Corrections
The 1994 film, The Shawshank Redemption, directed by Frank Darabont, presents a complex and
brutal prison environment for both its guards and inmates. Andy Dufresne, an inmate who is wrongly
convicted of murder, is faced with several facets of the grim and isolated nature of Shawshank
penitentiary. Throughout the film, several correctional concepts are illustrated that present inimitable
challenges for both Dufresne as well as other inmates in the prison. The major correctional concepts
that shaped the inmates prison experiences include: prison economy, prisonization and
institutionalization, adaptive roles, and prison violence. Together, these concepts provide the
multifaceted foundation of the prison environment in the film as well as depict current correctional
concepts that are present in America s prisons. The prison economy plays an important role for ...

An adaptive role is described as how inmates become accustomed to prison (283). The four
fundamental roles that an inmate can embrace include: doing time, gleaning, jailing, or becoming a
disorganized criminal. (283) Upon arriving to Shawshank, Tommy Williams learns that Dufresne had
been helping other inmates to pass their General Educational Development tests. He convinces
Dufresne that he is committed to studying for the tests and ultimately passes with a C+ average.
Williams took advantage of the educational resources that were available to him in hopes of bettering
his situation once he was released. By doing so, he had been gleaning. (283) In addition to adaptive
roles, the film also portrays many instances and forms of prison violence. Prisons provide all of the
necessary conditions to host violence (288). The film depicts instances of prisoner prisoner violence in
the form of sexual victimization, prison gangs, and illicit violence by officers against

History Behind Moulin Rouge the Movie
Moulin Rouge It was 1899 in Paris, France, it was the time of the Bohemian Revolution, and it was
the summer of love. Christian, played by Ewan McGregor, was a writer and came to Paris to
experience this revolution and be surrounded by the artists, singers, and dancers of this new Bohemian
world. Little did he know that he would experience something he had never felt before but always

Moulin Rouge is one of Baz Luhrmann s best films. The movie came out in June 2001 and has won
many awards and is one of the best movies in the musical genre. The set design, costumes, casting of
roles, and music all is so perfectly put together to create this brilliant film. Luhrmann, who also co

conduct historical research and write the synopsis for the movie. To find ways to depict 19th century
Paris and the Moulin Rouge as it may have felt to its audience then at the cutting edge of sex, music,

Lessons in Civil Disobedience
No one possesses the same morals or beliefs. Morality does not have a black and white answer
because no one is exactly alike. Everyone has their own opinion and right to voice that opinion, and
there are numerous ways of doing so. As a citizen with my own beliefs, I believe I have the right to
violate laws if I feel morally obligated to. The amount of progress that America has made in such a
short amount of time is astonishing. In some ways it seems as if the only way to make any headway is
to speak up. If I was morally opposed to a policy or law I would go against it due to its effectiveness,
individualism, and past history of the world that has made immense progress. It is important to notice
that if civil disobedience was not ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
You cannot base your morals off of a group s thought, because you disregard your own morals.
Thoreau says that, every generation laughs at the old fashions, but follows religiously the new
(Walden 1). Thoreau despised laziness and considered following the crowd as lazy and that as an
individual, you could better the world by standing up for your own beliefs. Thoreau claimed that, not
till we have lost the world, do we begin to find ourselves, and realize where we are and the infinite
extent of our relations, (Walden 2). That quote signifies that the only way to find ourselves and our
own beliefs is for there to be significant turmoil in the world. Thoreau states in Civil Disobedience
that, The mass of men serve the state thus, not as men mainly, but as machines, with their bodies... In
most cases there is no free exercise whatever of the judgment or of the moral sense; but they put
themselves on a level with wood and earth and stones; and wooden men can perhaps be manufactured
that will serve the purpose as well (Thoreau 3). Thoreau is basically saying that the mob mentality
does not help make the moral decision because there is a great sense of conformity that individuals
feel obligated to follow. To be individual you must realize that you have to put your beliefs before the
conformist s idea. The history of the world and the

Children Are An Important Part Of The Continuation Of...
Children are an important part of the continuation of humanity, both as a species and culturally.
However, there are few references, outside of the instances where laws in relation to orphans or
widows or introduced, that discuss children in the Old Testament. There are times where the birth of a
child is mentioned, as is the case when Eve bore Cain in Genesis 4.1. However, there is no mention of
his childhood. Rather, the story continues when he is an adult farmer. The New Testament includes
references to children other than as a reference to genealogy or to celebrate a birth. These are very
important to understanding the shift in tone from the previous books of the Bible. In Matthew 18, the
disciples ask Jesus who the greatest in the kingdom of heaven will be (18.1). He calls a child from
among them before answering in the following verse. Before examining the answer, it is work noting
that children are present. It is easy to forget when reading through the previous books that there are
children, whether they are the patriarch s, a villager s, or a servant s, that could be present in many of
the scenes depicted. They are not mentioned because their presence is unimportant to that particular
tale. However, here they are important. So important, that Jesus feels the need to bring one to him. It is
also important to note that the text only says that [h]e called a child (4.2). This child is not identified
as male or female, the fact is irrelevant to this particular story.

Horus Research Paper
Horus, an Ancient Egyptian god, is one of the most important gods in Ancient Egypt. There are many
different forms of Horus. Each of these different forms are treated as a different god. There is a very
popular story about Horus, which I will focus on in this essay. It described Horus as a son of Osiris
and Isis. According to ancient.eu, Osiris was worshiped the most, and as he is one of the oldest gods in
Ancient Egypt. He was considered to be the god of afterlife. Everyone respected and admired him.
This is because in Ancient Egypt, the afterlife was considered to be more important than real life. The
ancient Egyptians respected the dead, and even referred to them as being the living ones. Isis was a
daughter of Nut and Geb. She was considered ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

considered to be the role model for all rulers of the Kingdom of Egypt. It was believed that Horus
would guide the pharaohs and help them. Horus was also considered to be the god of the sun and sky.
His name and appearance proved this. Horus eyes were symbols for the sun and moon. His right eye
was the sun, and his left eye was the moon. Horus eyes became the moon and the sun when Set and
Horus had endlessly battled for the control over Egypt. They fought many times until the other gods
finally stopped them. They decided since Set had killed Osiris for the throne and Horus has killed no

god of fertility. This is why the Egyptian desert cannot grow crops. Horus lost his left eye in the battle.
It became the moon, since it was very weak when compared to the sun, which was his right eye.

A Product s Usability Achieves Effectiveness, Efficiency,...
Usability is an important concept in human factors. ISO defines usability as the extent in which a
product can be used to achieve goals with effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction in a specified
context of use. Technology should have an aspect of usability and user friendliness especially in a
clinical context, so that it can reduce cases of medical errors. An information system comprises of
various elements, among them is users who should have a clear understanding of their functions.
Usability as a concept increases productivity and it will reduce costs of training and support. It reduces
cases of errors as it reduces time involved when using the system (Bevan, 2009)
There are three usability themes; effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction. Effectiveness refers to the
ability of the system to do what its users require. There are different users in a clinical environment
that perform different activities with the system; hence an effective system should have the ability to
satisfy multiple users. Efficiency as a theme covers the ability of the technology to complete the task
in the intended time. Technology should be able to reduce the time used in completing a task. Lastly,
the theme of satisfaction is about the notion by users that the information system is easy to use. For
proper use of technology, users should easily associate with it. Users should be familiar with the
technology and they should have a good attitude towards it. Usability themes are affected by

Organizing Function of Management
Organizing Function of Management
The second of the four basic management activities is organizing. By setting up and implementing the
correct organization form or structure for their size and their people, a company can fulfill its purpose
and make the necessary profit to continue, or even to excel. These structures will more than likely
change over time as the company grows and changes, but this is the ‘nature of the beast and what
most of Corporate America have come to expect.
The most efficient way to set up a structure for organization and management is to evaluate their
employees and utilize the strengths of some to make up for the weaknesses of others. They will find
that by making sure that everyone is able to do their job, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We are in the process of restructuring the production end of this system, and completely eliminating
other areas. However, nothing has been set in stone yet, and the wheels of progress definitely turn
slow. Even in a company the size of Brian s.
Human Resources
As so much time has been spent on the other areas I spoke of, no system has ever really been put into
place for human resources. The human resources department consists of one person, who is also the
bookkeeper. When an application comes in, it goes to her and she sorts out the one who just do not
have the qualifications we need. She then calls and sets up interviews for these people. From this
point, it is a bit of a jumble, but typically it hits the same basics. The candidate speaks to the manager
of the area looking for personnel, and usually approves or disapproves of him/her on the spot. Then
the ball goes back into the bookkeeper court and she sends them for a drug test, issues an employment
packet, and a timeport that will record their hours for payroll. This same one woman is also our
benefits coordinator, accountant, bookkeeper, office manager, and any other projects that come down
the pike that the receptionist is unable to handle.
Again, this is an outdated system, which is extremely unfair to the ‘girl Friday . At this time, this
structure works without an overly stressful amount of workload on her. It will not be

Conviction Is An American Drama Television
Conviction is an American drama television show that centers around a new department of the New
York County District Attorney s Office called the Conviction Integrity Unit or the CIU. The CIU was
created to reinvestigate any cases that could have been wrongfully convicted due to any external
factors. The team has four members, an Assistant District Attorney (Sam Spencer), a former New York
Police Department Detective who became District Attorney Investigator (Maxine Bohen), a Paralegal
(Tess Larson) and a Forensic Technician (Frankie Cruz). They work under a Defense Attorney who
was intimidated into the job as a result of a possible arrest because of drug possession.
Every week, the team leader must choose a case that has been closed. They have five days to figure
out what details in the case which could have by any chance caused a false conviction of an innocent
person. They must go through past interviews, witnesses, photos of the crime scenes and any other
information that could be in the case files.
The episode that I chose was, A Simple Man, it is about how a man, Leo Scarlata, was convicted of
arson and murder. It was proven that he had a mental deficiency as the results of an IQ, Intelligence
Quotient, test his score was 70. The average score for an IQ test was 100, anything below that score
means that individual is cognitively impaired. He should not have been charged for the crime or give
the punishment that he received, but the score was not low enough.

Alexander Nehamas
Alexander Nehamas believes that the attracted properties of art and beauty lies within our feeling and
emotions. In his account, he explained that even though a higher or more abstract ideas of beauty can
be found, the fundamental principles we used to judge the quality of the art is not purely intellectual
but, rather, the desires plays as a part of the appreciation. He emphasized that the beauty of the
artwork provokes individuals to possess in a way that we want to know more about the painting
whether from our lust or other forms of emotion (7). In another word, Nehamas reasons that emotional
properties of the beauty attracts observer s attention. To further clarify Nehamas argument, he pointed
out that the beauty are capable of being deceptive ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
His approach is limited, uncertain and does not take into account of top tier artworks which are loved
globally. I will propose an experimental thoughts against Stolnitz. Let s consider a monumental
artwork such as the conclusion of Joe Hisaishi s artwork called One Summer s Day , is well known
and loved all over the world. As Stolnitz suggest that we need to appreciate this far reaching work by
appreciating the essence undistracted by our feelings and emotions. The beauty of sound can certainly
move our emotions and, moreover, is almost impossible to control one s emotions and appreciate the
artwork sympathetically. Hence, even if one were to achieve purely object appreciation of the music,
one will not completely understands the core concepts of the artwork and the meaning presented by
the author. The purpose of Joe s closing section touches our feeling and move our soul. Stolnitz s
argument falls short; as anybody whom are expert with artwork knows how to move the observer
emotionally. Thus, my examples proves that Nehamas s view is intuitively right which proves that
observer should use their emotional capacity as a part of their aesthetic attitude to appreciate the
beauty of the

Narrative Essay On Odette Millenium
The accused needs to stand. The tribunal judge s voice echoed throughout the cavernous courtroom.
Although he sat high upon his chair behind his raised bench, the lighting around him was dim,
providing a sense of anonymity. To his right, a collection of citizens, too, sat shrouded in anonymity.
Several feet across from the judge, Odette Bordeaux pushed her chair out from behind the small desk
from where she had been placed. The wooden legs of the chair scratched abrasively against the
warped wooden floor causing an earsplitting screech that bounced around the room, magnifying the
sound until it reached a crescendo and then slowly dissipated. She was highlighted in a strong light
that shined down from the ceiling, exposing her to the jury and judge. Aged in her mid 40s, with
chestnut hair pinned neatly into a bun on the back of her head, Odette stood with the composure of a
lone leaf in a stout fall wind. Her hands, thin but calloused, trembled involuntarily, so she balled them
up and placed them behind her back. She wiggled her toes, hidden inside of her flats, to work off the
abundance of nerves ricocheting around inside of her. It wasn t ... Show more content on

though reading a grocery list.
How do you respond to these transgressions?
Odette stood silent before the judge and the collection of citizens, not sure how to respond. She knew
that admitting her guilt would make her vulnerable to severe repercussion; however, atoning for
actions that were necessary seemed like an illogical thing to do, but it was the truth.
How do you respond to these transgressions, defendant?

The Qr Transformation Protects The Upper Hessenberg Type...
The QR transformation protects the upper Hessenberg type of the first matrix, and the workload on
such a matrix is O(n2) per cycle as restricted to O(‪
n3) on a general framework. As s tends to infinity,
the original matrix merges to a structure where the eigenvalues are either segregated on the corner to
corner or are eigenvalues of a 2 × 2 sub matrix on the diagonal. Thus, we can see that the QR
transformation reduces the complexity and the number of iterations. QR is one of the mostly used
algorithms for finding the eigenvalues of a matrix, where Q represents an orthogonal matrix and R an
upper triangular one, R comes from right. ‬

Now we consider a non singular matrix with real entries, either symmetrical or not. In essence, the QR
algorithm is based on the following property:
If A is factorized in the product A=QR, where Q is non singular, then the matrix of the product in
reverse order, A =RQ, has the same eigenvalues as A has (having similarity with A).
The invention of the QR algorithm
The QR transformation was introduced in the late 1950s by John G.F. Francis (England) [6] and by
Vera N. Kublanovskaya (USSR) [7], working separately. The QR calculation has been named as one
of the ten most critical calculations of the twentieth century. John G.F. Francis (conceived 1934) is an

Fishing has been responsible for the survival of many families during millenniums, a tradition passed

The familiar business fishery changed to industrial, which happened because of technological increase

Winston Churchill s Accomplishments During Ww2
A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every
difficulty. This quote by an iconic and one of the most beloved leaders to ever live, Sir Winston
Churchill, explains the dire need to stay positive in any situation possible. Winston Churchill was the
Prime Minister of the United Kingdom throughout the 1940s and 50s. His superb Leadership skills is
one of the main reasons why World War 2 came to an end. Mr. Churchill had an abundant amount of
accomplishments during his lifetime. For instance, in 1953, Churchill was knighted by Queen
Elizabeth the 2nd. The same year he was named the recipient of the Nobel Prize in literature ( Winston
Churchill 1). There were social, economic, and cultural influences on Winston Churchill which

When he visited America, he saw the warmth and welcomeness of the country, and knew he had to
convince them to help Britain win the war effort. All of these influences affected his achievements in
many ways. Who knows if he would of had the same fate without these influences? Winston Churchill

The World Poverty Runs Rampant
People fear tangible and visible things, places they have been and never wish to return like the old
scary basement locked in darkness. Yet, poverty remains abstract, unknown, and even unfathomable to
most. Across the world poverty runs rampant as 3 billion people live on less than $2.50 per day and
more than 1.3 billion live in extreme poverty on less than $1.50 per day. These are not abstracts, but
facts so let me repeat myself, 1.3 billion people, part of the human race whose DNA contain the same
sequences as everyone on this planet live in extreme poverty; where food, medical treatment, and
clean water remains a luxury. To help put this in prospective look at an old budgetary game of time
and numbers.
Just like most people do not fully fathom the difference between million and billion, more developed
societies neither fully understand the severity of the condition, nor do they understand the magnitude
of its impact. These problems are pushed aside and 22, 000 children each day die.
In 2014, Ebola outcry garnered visible top spots in media coverage leading the US among others to
send ground personal to contain the crisis. Across developing countries malaria and tuberculosis
receives billions upon billions of dollars from both multinationals like the Global Fund and individual
donors like the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. William Easterly (2006) would call them

We All Fall Down Critical Analysis
In Robert Cormier s novel, We All Fall Down, is a young adult thriller that explores the evil side of
humanity through a number of corrupt characters. Cormier, to a large extent, accurately depicts
manipulative and dishonest behaviour whilst also showing the evil lurking within the prominent
characters of Harry Flowers, Buddy Walker and Mickey Stallings who showcase the dark side of
humanity. Cormier explores this through Harry Flower s manipulative actions that result in the
suffering of others. Additionally, the constant dishonest behaviour is shown predominantly through the
main protagonist of Buddy Walker, who deceives the one he loves. Cormier continues to depict the
evil lurking in society through the theme of appearance versus reality through the seemingly harmless
character of Mickey Stallings. Cormier successfully depicts manipulative and dishonest behaviour as
well as showing the evil lurking in the dark side of humanity.
In the novel, We All Fall Down, Cormier is able to show the repercussions of manipulative behaviour,
through the character of Harry Flowers. Harry is able to manipulate Buddy s thoughts and actions due
to his vulnerability. Harry fools Buddy into believing that his actions on the night of the trashing were
deceiving, this can be shown with Harry trying to convince Buddy of this, Maybe I was trying to grab
her and save her from falling, Harry said, his voice suddenly mild and reasonable. Maybe it only
looked like I pushed her. What do they

Ethical Ethics Of Ethical Hacking
Abstract
In today s interconnect world the threats posed by hackers is growing. One of many tools
organizations have at their disposal is a unique group of hackers. Ethical or White Hat Hackers intent
is to discover vulnerabilities from a malicious attacker s viewpoint. Ethical hacking involves the same
tools, tricks, and techniques that malicious hackers utilize. White Hat Hackers use penetration testing
in order to test the security of an organizations communications infrastructure. The one difference is
White Hat hackers have the organizations permission to test the vulnerability of the organizations
systems. Ethical hacking is one part of an organizations overall information risk management
program. Ethical hacking allows the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A person only needs to look at the news daily to see that not one person or organization is safe from
the threat posed by hackers. The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) information stolen recently
only highlights the threat of such actors. The OPM hack took personal records for any government
employee whom had a security clearance provided by the United States government. The infringement
of personnel data by a group of hackers only raises the concern of privacy for a majority of security
clearance holders. Organizations have to look at all options to securing networks and data to ensure
the security mechanisms that are in place stand up to persistent threats. Most organizations can spend
extraordinary amounts of money to secure data and networks, but still leave vectors that a hacker can
exploit. Once all security aspects are in place a good resource is then to bring in ethical hackers or
White Hat hackers in to test the security of the system. The goal of ethical hacking is to uncover
vulnerabilities from an adversary s point of view so the security system can be improved. Ethical
hacking should be part of the organizations overall information risk management program, which
allows for constant security improvements. In the security life cycle, ethical hacking can be viewed as
a security assessment. Ethical hacking shows the

proposed antenna is integrated with a Villard voltage doubler circuit using an impedance matching
network and the output voltage and efficiency are monitored. The overall design of proposed RF
harvesting circuit is accomplished by using the Agilent ADS and achieve maximum efficiency of
46.82%[10] . 4. In this paper, they have developed a dual frequency printed dipole rectenna for the
wireless power transmission at 2.45 5.8 GHz. For operating at dual band, a novel uniplanar printed
dipole antenna is created using a coupling method. In this combination of low pass filter and bandstop
filters effectively blocked the higher order harmonic re radiations [11]. 5. In this project a printed

The original design was for a portable pager device operating in the 900 MHz band. For this design
the dipole with their design equations are discussed, but as suggested by the patent , it was slightly
remodelled and adopted to the 400 MHz band. The antenna was built

Pet Friendly By Sue Pethick
Animal companionship is available through many choices and may include such examples as furry,
four legged creatures or those that may slither and frighten even the most ardent animal lover. Still, the
mutual bond that forms between owner and guardian transcends the daily duties associated with pet
ownership. These emotional relationships are corroborated through personal stories and often
presented in heartwarming movies and novels. Pet Friendly by Sue Pethick utilizes an encouraging
theme to embody one example, which exemplifies how pet ownership, including the rewarding aspect
of adoption, has a magnitude of positive benefits on the physical, emotional, and social well being of
the human companion.

Unfortunately, some individuals may have reservations about animal adoption because of
preconceived notions of low success rates. Mindful of these concerns, Pet Smart Charities sought
information regarding the success rates of animal adoptions. In three surveys performed over a one
year period with respondents who adopted dogs and cats from either a PetSmart location, Adopt a
Thon event, or shelter, Neidhart and Boyd concluded there was an overwhelming positive response to
animal adoption (175). Ninety percent reported being very satisfied with the animal chosen, while
only two percent responded very dissatisfied. Additionally, eighty eight percent reported being very
satisfied with the adoption experience, and ninety eight percent would recommend their adoption
location to others (176). While adoption is just the beginning of the subsequent years of happiness and
companionship for the pet and the caretaker, numerous other benefits accompany this camaraderie.
Individuals who share their lives with animals reap numerous physical benefits, which leads to an
improvement of overall health. One of the most widely known physical rewards is simply achieved by
exercising with a dog, which mutually benefits both parties and involves merely taking the
recommended thirty minute daily walk (Benjamin 1). Additionally, the reduction in heart disease,

  • 2. Scout Meeting Narrative It was early September, the beginning of the fall season. The scorching summer sun had long been gone and the golden maple leaves had already begun to tumble to the ground. A crisp chill strikes the evening with a faint tap as I exit my mom s shimmering silver minivan and make my way into the all too familiar elementary school. It was only a couple days before when my good friend, Chloe, met me outside of our conjoined classrooms to suggest I attend a girl scout meeting. At the time, I absolutely dreaded meeting new people. I was quite shy and avoided human interaction as best as possible, with the exception of the people whom I already knew before hand and was comfortable conversing with them during the 30 minute recesses. It ll be a lot of fun, she ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... You should come. It s every Thursday afterschool at 6 o clock. We both walked down the brief steps and headed towards the rock path that lead up to where the buses would park before and after school to drop and pick students up. I ll think about it. I responded. The rest of the time was spent in silence as we waited for the tawny bus, thinking the only thing I was doing on Thursday night was reading another R.L. Stine book. Yet, here I was in the airless wind, with my mother walking close behind, about to enter Central Elementary School for the second time today. Without the usual sea of students crowding the halls, the school felt empty and barren. Voices could be heard deeper down the hall, sounds of laughter from both children and adults. Light illuminated the door of the library, we walked down the hallway towards the noise ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Good Life Analysis What is your version of the good life using three aspects of life and is it the same as the person next to you? Everyone has their own idea of the ideal life and no two people have the same exact idea. Some may have the idea of money, clothes, and cars while another may have the idea of family, no death, and a big house. The two individuals have two completely different points of view, interests, likes, dislikes, and aspirations. My version of the good life is nothing like the other examples but it is okay because it is supposed to be different. Personally my ideal life include having enough money to sustain and be comfortable, having a successful career, and having a lifetime supply of puppies and dogs. There are reasons behind why I have chosen these specific aspects of a possible life and they will be explained in the paragraphs to follow. I chose the first aspect to be money because I want to have enough money to get my family and me in a good place. A place where we would not have to worry about making ends meet but a place where we could have all our basic needs met. This would be sustained by my husband and I have decent paying jobs. For instance, him being a construction ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 5. Nursing Shortage and Nurse Turnover Nursing shortage and Nurse Turnover The ongoing instability evidenced from the high mobility of qualified nurses in the nursing workforce has raised many questions about the issue of nursing shortage and nurse turnover (Gates Jones, 2007). The paper below discusses the issues of nursing shortage and nurse turnover. The paper also describes how leaders as well as managers in the nursing fraternity and other leaders can resolve those problems effectively and the different applicable principles, skills, roles of the leader, and theories of leadership and management. There are various factors that are contributing to the current nursing shortage and turnover. Apparently the major contributing factors in the USA are a population of nurses that are getting older without adequate replacement, there are fewer than expected faculties dedicated to nursing, there are more career fields opening up particularly for women hence the alternative choices instead of nursing, federal government s failure to fund the nursing education across the country, generally unpleasant working conditions and terms, poor retention of the nurses as well as an overstretched hence overworked nursing staff. According to Paller (2012), the nursing shortage in different countries for example the United States tends not to be the only growing problem, but has also become a complex one. The New Meaning Of Educational Change Essay According to Michael Fullan (2016) in his book, The New Meaning of Educational Change, successful organizations that demonstrate change followed principled concepts of change. The reason for their success if that there is tangible proof of alignment in keeping components of actions. Fullan (2016) stated that successful change incorporates five factors. In this essay, three of the five factors will be discussed and an example of an organization using components of the change be revealed. Often when organization shave to go through the process of change it means either they have gone through change to repair broken areas or they are going through change as a reflective exercise before embarking on a larger scope of practice perhaps to expand into new growth within their organization. In either course, the larger concern is that organizations must embrace change and engage in meaningful constructed ways to promote the best growth with the fewest steps to reach accomplishment. A key decision factor to change is whether an organize will change because they adopt a model and see a better way or whether they want to save their resources. Fullan (2016) suggested that the reason for the change is largely to work is because, the organizations, Define closing the gap as the overarching goal, Assume that lack of capacity is the initial problem and then work on it continuously, and Stay the course through continuity of good direction by leveraging leadership, (Fullan, 2016, ... • 9. Individuality And Uniqueness In Emerson s Self Reliance By... 1. In the essay Self Reliance, Ralph Waldo Emerson addressed the topic of originality and uniqueness to depict the idea that these are the qualities that make people great. Emerson stated that We but half express ourselves, and are ashamed of that divine idea which each of us represent in order to argue that each person has a uniqueness because their environments is unique (Emerson 2). The quote infers that every person in society has an ability to possess a unique idea. Every person has a unique idea, which means that every person can become a free thinker. Those who do not act on their thoughts and ideas due to societal rules lose the chance to become unique. Emerson believed that Society is a wave. The wave moves onward, but the water of which it is composed does not , meaning something sparks society to do something, everyone starts doing it but why they do it is lost over time (Emerson 20). The wave of society represents the masses and the water that makes up the wave are the individuals in society. Every person has an ability to possess a divine thought but cannot ferment it because of societal restraints (the wave). Due to the influence of society, one lacks the strength to act on their original thought and follows the crowd. Martin Luther acted on his original thought but thousands of people adopted his thoughts, even though the reasons for his regional thought are no longer present. Instead of creating and following their own ideas, they adopted Luther s instead. In society, many people follow and imitate well established beliefs, thus leading to the lack of divine thought. In the reading, Emerson came to a conclusion that all people have divine thoughts but cannot act on them because of societal influences. 2. In the reading titled Self Reliance, Ralph Waldo Emerson addressed the topic of truth and honesty. According to Emerson, one who went Upright and vital, and speak the rude truth is unique (Emerson 4). Emerson followed this quote stating that one shall Speak what you think now in hard words, and tomorrow speak what tomorrow thinks...though it contradicts everything (Emerson 7). • 10. When Thinking Of Bob Dylan Deven Fiandaca English IV Mr. Wormwood Period 4 When thinking of Bob Dylan, two immediate things come to mind. First off, and most obvious, Mr. Dylan is known for his nasally voice. This seems to be the first topic of discussion when Bobs name comes up. Secondly, and more importantly, Bob is known for his talent of song writing, unlike many other artists in today s world, bob tells a story with all of his songs. Many of his songs are over 5 minutes long, for those who don t know much about music, this is extremely long. He takes time and puts in immense effort in all of his work, which is why Bob is known for his great work and the reason for Dylan winning the Nobel Prize for Literature this past year. Today, I will be reviewing and analyzing the album Desire by Bob Dylan. This album was released on January 5th, 1976. The entire albums length is 56 minutes and 13 seconds, consisting of 9 songs. This album contains one of Bob s most famous songs, which will be the first song I will be reviewing. The album was co written by Jacques Levy. The album is made up of many story songs. This album alone stirred up some controversy, regarding one of his songs named Joey . Joey was one of Bob s longest and most famous songs. The song has a length of 11 minutes. This piece by Dylan stirred up a lot of controversy regarding the gangster Crazy Joey Gallo. Although Gallo was accused of two murders, this song seems to be sympathizing and glorifying him. The song has to do with ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Child Trafficking Is A Universal Issue According to the Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children (2000), child trafficking is the recruitment, transportation, transfer, harbouring or receipt of children for the purpose of exploitation. It is a violation of their rights, their well being and denies them the opportunity to reach their full potential. Cathy Paris once said, Truthfully, human trafficking is just a polite way to say modern day slavery. That being said, no human is adequate to legislate and alternate a fellow human, without that humans assent. Even though slavery was abolished centuries ago, it still lingers on secretly in many countries in the world. Unfortunately, Child trafficking is a universal issue ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... According to the World Bank report Ghana has a population of approximately 25.90 million and GDP of 47.93 billion dollars in 2013(Worldbank.org, 2014). That goes to say that there should be enough resources to be able to implement full measures to invest in education and job creation so as to alleviate poverty in the country. For most non Western countries, the reasons why most of these important issues are overlooked is because of systemic corruption. Corruption is the only logic answer that can explain the neglect of this phenomenon. Tragically, the legislature of Ghana and in addition other African nations permits and supports these misbehaviors. Degenerate practices are sought after for own self increase. Thus the reasons explicable for the growth of Child trafficking in Ghana are neglect by the government, the fear of the cost to be incurred by the government if child trafficking is to be tackled and finally the absence of an effective the rule of law in Ghana. Corruption is ultimately the only logic reason why all the factors mentioned above would thrive. Since the economy of Ghana is steadily growing, why is this prevalent in the rural areas? Through analysis of the topic of Child Trafficking in Ghana I argue that even though it is not yet a widespread issue, as we know corruption to erode, in years to come if measures are not put into place, it will become a nationwide calamity. • 13. Shawshank Redemption Corrections The 1994 film, The Shawshank Redemption, directed by Frank Darabont, presents a complex and brutal prison environment for both its guards and inmates. Andy Dufresne, an inmate who is wrongly convicted of murder, is faced with several facets of the grim and isolated nature of Shawshank penitentiary. However, there are few references, outside of the instances where laws in relation to orphans or widows or introduced, that discuss children in the Old Testament. There are times where the birth of a child is mentioned, as is the case when Eve bore Cain in Genesis 4.1. However, there is no mention of his childhood. Rather, the story continues when he is an adult farmer. The New Testament includes references to children other than as a reference to genealogy or to celebrate a birth. It is easy to forget when reading through the previous books that there are children, whether they are the patriarch s, a villager s, or a servant s, that could be present in many of the scenes depicted. They are not mentioned because their presence is unimportant to that particular tale. However, here they are important. So important, that Jesus feels the need to bring one to him. ISO defines usability as the extent in which a product can be used to achieve goals with effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction in a specified context of use. Technology should have an aspect of usability and user friendliness especially in a clinical context, so that it can reduce cases of medical errors. An information system comprises of various elements, among them is users who should have a clear understanding of their functions. Usability as a concept increases productivity and it will reduce costs of training and support. It reduces cases of errors as it reduces time involved when using the system (Bevan, 2009) There are three usability themes; effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction. Effectiveness refers to the ability of the system to do what its users require. There are different users in a clinical environment that perform different activities with the system; hence an effective system should have the ability to satisfy multiple users. Efficiency as a theme covers the ability of the technology to complete the task in the intended time. Technology should be able to reduce the time used in completing a task. The QR transformation protects the upper Hessenberg type of the first matrix, and the workload on such a matrix is O(n2) per cycle as restricted to O(‪ n3) on a general framework. As s tends to infinity, the original matrix merges to a structure where the eigenvalues are either segregated on the corner to corner or are eigenvalues of a 2 × 2 sub matrix on the diagonal. Thus, we can see that the QR transformation reduces the complexity and the number of iterations. These emotional relationships are corroborated through personal stories and often presented in heartwarming movies and novels. Pet Friendly by Sue Pethick utilizes an encouraging theme to embody one example, which exemplifies how pet ownership, including the rewarding aspect of adoption, has a magnitude of positive benefits on the physical, emotional, and social well being of the human companion. Unfortunately, some individuals may have reservations about animal adoption because of preconceived notions of low success rates. Mindful of these concerns, Pet Smart Charities sought information regarding the success rates of animal adoptions. The views are great, and you get an up close and personal look at the big bells that you ll hear ringing out the time all over the city. If you want to avoid getting your ears blown off, I d advise making the trip to the top of the tower at something other than the hour mark. http://fhands.com/GuJPysD (visit venice italy.com) Wander the Streets of Burano Island With a little extra time in Venice, after your visit to Murano take a vaporetto further into the lagoon for a trip to Burano Island.
