The And Oral Communication Curriculum
Picture a world where a higher power restricts, defines, and degrades the individual from the
moment they are born. Everyone has been assigned one title woman or man that serves as a
warning label for his or her capabilities. Whether or not the individual follows these societal
constraints, discrimination will always accompany the titles given. Even in America s gender
focused society, labels and expectations are imposed upon people that can determine the direction
and limits of their lives. Such social injustice could spark rebellions and result in shattered laws of
civilization and the end of equality for everyone, no matter their gender. As teenage research

One such example can be found in Lorraine Hansberry s play A Raisin in the Sun when Walter
Younger demeaned Beneatha s doctoral career choice. Walter had other views on what a womanhis
sister s age should do with her life: Who the hell told you you had to be a doctor? If you so crazy
bout messing round with sick people then go be a nurse like other women or just get married
and be quiet (Hansberry 1.1). Walter stands as an emblem of society during the 1950s, the time
period of the play, because in his perspective, a woman is not capable of doing a man s job;
therefore, if Beneatha were to become a doctor generally an occupation dominated by males for
many years she would defy gender stereotypes and act as a detriment against one of civilization s
strongest social constructs: gender. Walter, and many others, would much rather have Beneatha
remain silent and undereducated merely because she is a woman. He would prefer Beneatha take
a job that is for women, a nurse, because it is a position subordinate to a doctor s.
Not surprisingly, gender inequality also existed before A Raisin in the Sun. Harper Lee s thought
provoking novel To Kill a Mockingbird is known for its harsh, yet very accurate, portrayal of life
for people plagued by oppression during the 1930s. Through the eyes of a young, innocent girl
named Scout, Lee cleverly displays subtle

Sacrifice In Crime And Punishment By Raskolnikov
Sacrifice is the act of giving up something that you want to keep especially in order to get or do
something else or to help someone. The novel Crime and Punishment expressed the hardships of
the characters to obtain money at the time. Everyone was poor and had to give up valuables in
order to receive grace on their rent payments from Alyona Ivanovna, the landlady. It was a constant
struggle for Rodion Romanovich Raskolnikov, who occupied the housing development of Alyona.
Raskolnikov had difficulty making ends meet and others complained about Alyona s unfair
behaviors. He believed in he would sacrificehis freedom and murder Alyona, it would save others
whom have dealt with the same poverty issues. The choice that Raskolnikov chose changed... Show

and can I, can I possibly....No, it s nonsense, it s rubbish! he added resolutely. And how could
such an atrocious thing come into my head? What filthy things my heart is capable of. (P1, Ch1)
Even his own thoughts of the murder disgusted him. Raskolnikov can not even comprehend his
urgency to kill yet he continues to plot Alyona s death meticulously. Almost from the first, while
he read the letter, Raskolnikov s face was wet with tears; but when he finished it, his face was
pale and distorted and a bitter, wrathful and malignant smile was on his lips. (P1, Ch3) Although
Raskolnikov has a hatred for his small flat and how disgusting his living conditions are, he
enjoys his bitter isolation. After he receives a letter from his mother, Pulcheria Alexandrovna,
and sister, Avdotya Romanovna (Dounia), his anxiety levels rise. Raskolnikov has still not paid
his rent to his new landlady, Praskovya Pavlovna, and yet his family sends him prayers of good
will. This idea of a religious merry message makes him cringe for he knows he has sinned. His
emotions are distorted and can not be changed, for the murder has maliciously embalmed his very
thoughts of what is right and

Social Capital in the Developing World Essay
The globalized world today is getting very advanced in all areas and so has become very
competitive. This then accommodates the use of a comparative approach in society. Comparative,
an activity derived from the word comparison meaning to compare, it is defined as a research
which uses data that are compared between at least two countries (Ragin, 1987). This comparative
study is a very important phenomenon in the field of social science and commenced in the1960s
and 1970s. It is used as an essential form of an investigating tool in analyzing the operations
between different countries with a view to formulate solutions for under developed countries and to

It was deemed necessary for human advancement in terms of improvement in institutions, standard
of living, health care, education and the way forward in society. In other words it can be regarded
as a social empowerment to prepare government policies in the emerging societies. According to
Alan Thomas, development is seen as an historical era attesting for social changes which has
transformed society over a long period. He also made mention that development is a deliberate
intent for progress through government, its agencies, social movements and other organizations
(Thomas, 1992). Development is evident in society when there is a marked increase in economic
growth, prosperity among individuals, modernized infrastructure and an increase in educational
standards. Educational opportunities are of vital importance in any society as it enhances and
produces individuals of intellectual personalities who in turn build the society from their brilliant
ideas. On the other hand, lack of educational standard leads to criminal behaviours, hence, a decline
in development. Adapting to technological advancement and engaging in an active civil society
helps in fostering development. Civil society plays an integral role in society s development as they
mostly include interest groups. They lobby for changes to meet the needs of becoming competitive

Chemotherapy-Induced Hair Loss
Losing one s hair is one of the many things that makes chemotherapy difficult. In fact, it is
estimated that six percent of cancer patients will refuse to get chemotherapy because they do not
want to lose their hair.
Hair loss is an outward sign that one is sick. When many people lose their hair, they feel as though
they lose their identity. They often look in the mirror and are not able to recognize themselves.
That is why it is upsetting to many patients.
The good news is that there is a new device designed to help reduce chemotherapy induced hair
loss. The device is called the Digni Cooling System, and it was first approved by the Food And
Drug Administration back in December 2015. It works by circulating a coolant through a silicone

The American War of Independence
The American Revolutionary War, also known as the War of Independence, began on April 19th,
1775 with the Battle of Lexington and Concord. The American Revolution was a war between the
thirteen colonies and Great Britian. The colonies wanted to gain independence from Great Britian.
It was also a rebellion against the monarchy, which lead to the establishment of the republic
[CROSS]. The outcome of the war was a victory for the thirteen colonies. The colonist gained
independence and British recognition. The Battle of Lexington and Concord was a significant
battle because it was the start of the Revolutionary War; there are many events that led to the
colonist fighting back. The war started because Great Britain was taxing the colonies. Great Britain
imposed the Sugar Act, Stamp Act, Townshend Acts, etc. It was taxation without representation.
Many people wrote about what colonists should do. John Dickinson wrote The Letters From a
Pennsyvlanvia Farmer and Thomas Paine wrote Common Sense . Both were the actions that they
believed that colonist should take and their opinion on the matters. Americans rebelled with the
Boston Massacre in 1770 and the Boston Tea Party in 1773 [CITE]. This caused Great Britain to
enact the Coercive Acts. The Coercive Acts were divided into three parts: Boston Port Act,
Administration of Justice Act, and the Massachusetts Government Act. The Boston Port Act shut
down Boston s harbors in June of 1774 until the colonies paid for the tea that was

Edward Bernay s Crystallizing Public Opinion
Edward Bernay s Crystallizing Public Opinion gives readers an insight on public relations and
public opinions on its history and how it came about. The text was broken up into four different
parts: scope and functions, the group and herd, technique and method, and lastly ethical relations.
Each parts has certain chapter topics leads to the next which leads to the next parts of the book.
The text is very helpful for those who are in public relations, I would not say the book was easy nor
difficult, it was more in between. There are some chapters that are pretty lengthy compared to
others and there will be names mentioned in a few chapters that can be a little confusing. Overall,
it is best for people to know about the history of PR and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Mr. Bernay mention Judge Cardozo of the Court of Appeals of the State of New York, as an
example that judges go through different cases a day and having to decide to pick one. How I
see that example is that as PR field, no matter what clients we get, we can have a choice to help
them or not. Same goes for judges while they decide on a case to work on. Therefore Bernay
gives us three tendencies of fundamental importance s. Tendency number one, increase public
interest in industrial aggregations (Bernay, 1923, p. 66). The first tendency basically tells PR
practitioners that it is important to keep their clients and public happy. They need to find a way
to make themselves stay relevant and keeping up with what the public want. Second tendency the
increased readiness of the public, due to spread of literacy and democratic forms of government
(Bernay, 1923, p. 66). News spread out like wildfires, when a controversy happens within the
government or entertainment industry, public relations has to keep up with it and put that fire out,
or else people will keep on misunderstanding and demanding information. Lastly tendency three,
keen competition for public favor due to modern methods of selling (Bernays, 1923. P 66). The
public relations field is as competitive like every other career fields out there. To be a good
practitioner you need to have networking and being able to handle any sort situations, that is what
will keep you high in the competition.

Breastfeeding Should Be Allowed In Public
Breastfeeding is natural and breast milk is the best nutritional choice for infants. Breastfeeding
helps babies to fight infections, prevent allergies and diarrhea, and protects against several chronic
conditions, breast milk contains antibodies that help infants fight off viruses and bacteria, and is
easy for an infants stomach to digest. Also, breastfeedinghelps the infant and the mother to bond
and it can help the mothers to lose extra calories fast, which they gained during pregnancy.
However, breastfeeding in public tends to be controversial, and breastfeeding mothers are forced
to use the public bathroom to feed their babies. If anyone of us can have our lunch or dinner in
public, why shouldn t a breastfed baby has the same rights? And who wants to have lunch in the
bathroom? Women should breastfeed anywhere except in the bathroom. women have a legal right
to breastfeed her babies in public, and women s breast is created to nurture babies. People argue
breastfeeding in public is indecent exposure and unconformable to those who are watching a
mother nursing a child. Breastfeeding in public shouldn t bother other people because it is
unrealistic to expect mothers to feed their babies in places like bathrooms.

`` Radical Hope `` By Jonathan Lear Essay
Individuals of a certain society are raised with a particular set of ideals and values that are
ingrained in their perception of everyday life. One may wonder how such individuals can
continue life if they must abandon all of their fundamental principles of living. Jonathan Lear
describes in his book, Radical Hope, how Plenty Coups, the last chief of the Crow nation, was
able to help his tribe discontinue their particular way of life in order to survive in the future.
Lear states how Plenty Coups does this: Precisely because Plenty Coups sees that a traditional
way of life is coming to an end, he is in a position to embrace a peculiar form of hopefulness. It is
basically the hope for revival: for coming back to life in a form that is not yet intelligible (Lear
2006: 95). Through this statement, Lear implies many things. As a young boy, Plenty Coups
experiences a dream in which he is told that the Crow culture is coming to an end and is given
advice on how he must proceed with his life through certain virtues, such as listening and
recognizing wisdom of others. His dream is interpreted by the Crow elders as an inevitable halt to
their way of living. As Plenty Coups is able to anticipate the complete demolition of the Crow
culture and its values, he recognizes he must adapt his perceptionof everyday life to whatever the
necessary circumstances demand. Although he may be only following the instructions of what he
had been told in his dream, Plenty Coups commits himself to an

Impact Of The Enlightenment Of Witch Hunt
The Enlightenment of Witch Hunt and The Change of New England Society
Many people may have heard of Witch Hunt, but only a very small number of people really
understand the reason behind the comical history. The 17th century New England was in change.
At that time, the traditional way of dealing with things, the means of facing dissension and the laws
and rules of the new era caused a dramatic tension: the confrontation between judicial system and
tradition mode. In the past, people s methods of dealing with difficult things tended to appeal to
supernatural powers, which led to the truth distored or buried. The emergence of the judicial system
had greatly challenged this traditional method. By reading Escaping Salem we can feel the
transformation process.
The story of Witch Hunt in Escaping Salem is not complicated. A maid named Kate was
suddenly mad out of unknown reason and says she is bewtiched. Gradually the neighbors begin
to believe that Kate was indeed bewitched. At the same time, Kate begins to name three
suspected witch names, two of whom are tried. The villagers of the story do not play the role of
fools. There is a sharp contrast between the scholars who graduated from famous universites and
the ordinary villagers. For example, John Bishop was an educated and experienced man of God:
he had graduated from Oxford in 1632 (26). However, he and his friend who is a pastor, believe
that Kate is bewitched without doubt. This example shows the division of society at that

people with the upsetting feeling many get from reading the words of one of the Pilgrims, We

respect of the general public because of its deep religious spirit. Also, because of the clever
handling of shadowing and general carefulness, the painting has an admirable technique. In 1836,
the United States government commissioned Robert W. Weir to paint the Embarkation of the

Many new guitarists aren t sure of what kind of guitar they should buy when they decide to

This is probably the single most important thing to look at in a guitar. Whether you are playing
electric or acoustic, country, rock, blues, or jazz, you need to have a tone that fits your musical

Internet Censorship And The Internet Hackers
Chapter One
INTRODUCTION
1.1 Background
In our time and with the remarkable progress in the field of Internet, web sites can be considered
the purpose and the main target for the Internet hackers. The Internet hackers worked on transfer
their attacks from the well defended network layer to the more accessible Web application layer,
since this layer is one of the most important layers because that layer is used on a daily basis by
people to manage all daily business such as commercial matters in addition to other things related
to their lives. These websites offer to users a variety of services Such as, shopping services,
booked travel tickets, health care and the payment of Insurances. All of these and other services
offered by the Web have become vulnerable to attacks by Internet hackers, by stealing credit card
numbers and other personal data and information [1].
At the present time we can say that the data exchange process is characteristic of this era, some of
these data are very important and highly secretive, and knowing this information could be important
Implications our own future like the importance of knowing the credit card Number or a password
to gain access to confidential data base. We can say that the exchange of information between two
parties is critical in our lives, but it is possible incidence a bad thing during the process of

In 1925, universal male suffrage was introduced, increasing the electorate from 3.3 to 12.5 million.
Yet as the left pushed for further democratic reforms, right wing politicians pushed for legislation to
ban organisations that threatened the state by advocating wealth distribution or political change.
This resulted in 1925 s Peace Preservation Law , which massively curtailed political freedom.
As the left disintegrated, ultra nationalism began to loom large. Japanese nationalism was born at
the end of the nineteenth century. During the Meiji period, industrialisation, centralisation, mass
education and military conscription produced a shift in popular allegiances. Feudal loyalties were
replaced by loyalty to the state, personified by the Emperor.
Why did japan make an alliance with germany

The Sun Ernest Hemingway
Outside reading assignment
In the sun also rises Hemingway s character development of Jake Barnes helps us understand the
theme of this book. The way Hemingway does this is through the diction and character
development of Jake. Jakes character development is built through a character foil with Robert
Cohn, which emphasizes jakes character. Then this character development helps bring the reader to
the theme of identity.
Furthermore Ernest Hemingway builds the character of Jake by making him the character foil of
Robert Cohn which helps emphasize not only jakes character, but also Jake s flaw. Jakes flaw
can be interpreted through the character foil as him summiting to what life during the war was
like even after the war. Jakes flaw is caused by the hardships he endured during the war, which
makes Jake come to know nothing else. His life then was forever changed and lost hence the name

We see his insecurity when he says at the Cathedral, I was a little ashamed, and regretted that I
was such a rotten Catholic, but realized there was nothing I could do about it , which tells us that
he is conscious of his condition, but does nothing to fix it. It is evident that Jake doesn t want to
do anything about his problem because when he says, , at least not for a while, and maybe never ,
he knows the problem is there but dismisses it by saying never.
To conclude Jake in the sun also rises is important to the book s plot because Hemingway builds
Jake s character through a character foil to emphasize Jake s overall character, and that character
development contributes to the theme of identity which Jake thinks he has under control but
actually doesn t. The fact that he doesn t have his identity under control explains Jake s strong

Factors, Causes And Effects Of Atomic Bombs
As America came down from the fear and atom madness that gripped the nation in 1945, the
Lemay Subcommittee proposed Operation Crossroads to President Harry Truman in December
that same year. The plan proposed to drop several atomic bombs on naval ships to test the damages
and effects in a controlled setting. Truman approved the plan on January 10, 1946, and preparations
began immediately. The Subcommittee prepared for detonations above and around the island of
Bikini, an isolated, sparsely populated, American controlled territory with naval and air force
capacity in the south Pacific. On March 7, 1946, the 167 Bikini natives moved to a neighboring
atoll and Joint Task Force One (JTFO) praised them for having given up their ancestral home in
trust that the American bomb tests will be of benefit to mankind. This statement by Vice Admiral

operation was shrouded in defense strategies and the pursuit of science. With the exception of
atomic scientists, experts of all ologies flocked to Bikini to study potential mutations, causes of

Russian Duels In A Hero Of Our Time And Eugene Onegin
Narrative Russian writers seem to enjoy inserting a duel in their literature. There s Pierre s duel
with Dolohov in Tolstoy s War and Peace; there s Onegin s duel with Lensky in Pushkin s
Eugene Onegin; there s Pechorin s duel with Grushnitsky in Lermontov s A Hero of Our Time,
and Bazarov duel with Pavel in Turgenev s Fathers and Sons. In this paper, however, making
comparisons between the duels from A Hero of Our Time and Eugene Onegin will be the primary
focus. When it comes to deciding if dueling was a noble form of conflict resolution, both writers
seem to indirectly portray to the reader that duels are unimpressive and ineffective. Both writers
emphasize on the challenges that could happen before, during, and after a Russian duel. If the
writers wanted to portray to the readers that duels were honorable, then they would have not
displayed the challenges that each character faced while they participated in the duel. A similarity
between the two duels of A Hero of Our Time and Eugene Onegin is who ultimately ends up being
killed. Both Lermontov and Onegin kill a character that was foolish, and who, perhaps, should not
have died. In A Hero of Our Time, Grushnitsky foolishly challenges Pechorin after mistakenly
assuming that Pechorin snuck into Princess Mary s residence to see her when she was home alone.
However, Pechorin had actually snuck into the residence to see Vera, but Grushnitsky, blinded by
jealousy, does not realize the truth. During the duel, Pechorin gains

1. What contractual issues should the contractor pay special attention to before signing the
demolition contract?
Massive and sophisticated demolition work predates the establishment of the proposed
developmental property on the Maltese islands. However, the construction sector in Malta is
plagued by myriad constraints and limitations, rendering the nation acutely incapable of
successfully conducting the demolition through local efforts. The staff at the disposal of even the
largest demolition contractor in the nation consists of only 20 members, because of which it is ill

2. Discuss some of the fundamental issues that must be considered by any demolition contractor
bidding for the work.
The demolition contract entails the annihilation of a 10,000 square meter warehouse and three two
storied industry buildings in order to ready the site for the construction of the proposed
developmental property. The cost required to be incurred on this project is estimated at US $10
million. As a large scale demolition and construction endeavor involving unprecedented costs,
resources and strategizing, all contractors who wish to bid for the project must vigilantly analyze
and interpret the fundamental issues surrounding the execution of the task. These issues have
discussed as under.
Firstly, the project involves a very high degree of technical erudition. The buildings to be
demolished lie close to certain historically significant sites and residential areas, which must be
insulated from any sort of risk and impairment. This spells increased expenditures and efforts on the
part of the contractor, and also implies rigorous financial damages in case the contractor fails to
deliver the completed project within the stipulated timeline.
Secondly, the contractor must examine reports that suggest that portions of the land being prepared
for the new property is polluted. On account of the industrial activities that are prevalent in

Essay on Octavian Augustus
Octavian Augustus is known as the first, and one of the greatest, Roman Emperors ever. Octavian
enabled the long, peaceful time of the Pax Romana by changing Rome from a fragile, crumbling
republican government to a mighty empire. Octavian s government was strong enough to
withstand weak emperors who mismanaged the Empire as well. His changes proved to be the
cornerstone of the greatest empire the world has ever seen. The Pax Romana, or Roman Peace,
was a time of great prosperity for all people under Rome s rule. Roman citizens enjoyed the
spectacles of the gladiators in the coliseum and the comedies performed at the many theatres. The

Octavian was favored by Caesar from an early age. In 48 Caesar had his fifteen year old great
nephew elected to the priestly college of the pontifices, and he also enrolled him in the
hereditary patrician aristocracy of Rome: Octavian joined Caesar in 46 B.C.E on campaign
against Pompey in Spain. Later, Octavian was sent to Apollonia, on the coast of Greece, to
attempt to finish his education. While in Apollonia, Octavian trained with Roman legions
stationed there. Only months after arriving in Apollonia, Octavian learned that Caesar was
murdered. He also learned that he was named as the beneficiary in Caesar s will and had been
formally adopted as his son. The will thrust tremendous power on Octavian. He was now the
leader of a great army ready to follow the commands of Caesar s heir. Octavian used this army to
occupy Rome and force the Senate to make him consul. Marc Antony, who had been consul with
Caesar, was now forced to create the alliance with Lepidus, a high priest, and Octavian. The three
leaders divided the land that Rome had conquered. Antony controlled the East and Octavian the
West. Lepidus controlled Africa. The leaders led a ruthless campaign to punish CaesarВ№s

The Current Global Advancements Of Technology
With the current global advancements in technology, organizations have been left with no choice,
other than joining the revolution and providing digital content for the public. In the same spirit,
Housing Works has invested in the online platform, through the creation of the website,

means used by the website to communicate with the public: The most prominent mode of

at the topmost section of the website. As such, the website visitors get the earliest opportunity to

Queensland s Jury System
Juries are an essential component of Queensland s criminal justice system. However, the current
jury system in criminal law cases does not effectively meet the needs of society. This thesis is
established by first examining the role that juries play in the criminal justice system and the
various interests of those affected by juries. This is followed by a consideration of arguments for
and against juries and reforms that may be made to the jurysystem. Overall, it will be seen that there
are substantial reasons to reform the current system.
In considering the effectiveness of the jury system, it is first necessary to understand the roles of
juries. Primarily, a jury is a body of legally unqualified citizens who agree on a verdict based on
evidence ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The jury represents the voice of the people, regardless, juries are ethnically un diverse, consist
heavily of certain age groups and members of certain socioeconomic statuses. To ensure better
representativeness, two specific reforms can be implemented. First, making avoiding jury duty
more difficult. The list of excuses in the Act can be reduced to achieve this. Additionally, the
reforms must address the racial diversity in juries. According to Israel, parties are likely to
attempt to exclude Indigenous and other ethnic minorities from in the selection process (1998).
However, for the jury to represent the voice of the people it must be racially diverse, as Australia
is a very multicultural country. As a result, a possible reform is making it more difficult for the
parties to object to certain jurors. To rectify the issue of a lack of competence in juries, a solution
is to expand the kinds of cases that a judge only trials. At present, for example, complicated tax and
fraud cases require a judge only trial. A reform is to make it possible for further kinds of cases to
be added. An alternative reform is to allow an independent lawyer to explain issues to the jury
outside of court sessions, rather than relying on the judges instructions alone. The lawyer could
identify any misunderstandings and correct them. Overall, it is necessary for reforms to be put in
place to address

The Bible And Divine Communication In The Bible
Divine communication: the contact between a higher power and a mortal. This is a constant theme
in many works of literature throughout the ages. Divine communication comes in many forms such
as oracles, prophets and direct communication with God. In the Bible, mortals often have direct
contact with God, who is seen as a father figure. In contrast, divine communication in Oedipus the
Kingcomes in the form of oracles and prophets, which are seen as an abstract entity. While both
God and the Oracles have the same intent of guiding and advising those involved, individuals were
more apt to listen to divine communication in the Biblebecause it derived from a fatherly figure
while individuals tended to reject divine intervention in Oedipus the King because it came from an
abstract source.
The Bible, which is the most sacred text in the Christian religion, has many occurrences of
individuals communicating with God. In each example of contact, divine communication seeks to
help individuals worship God. In the very beginning of Genesis, the creation of life. In the second
creation story God says to Eve you shall not eat of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the
garden, neither shall you touch it, lest you die (Genesis 3:3). Here, God is warning Adam and Eve
of the dangers that surround them in the Garden of Eden and the precautions they must take. This
proves the goal God s contact with humans on earth is to benefit them rather than hurt them. Rather
than leaving Adam

Similarities Between Egyptian And Greek Women
To be a woman in any civilization is not an easy task. Even in today s century woman keep
having difficulties and differences with equality and rights. It is not surprising that those
problems come from many centuries ago. The best ancient civilization to be a woman was Egypt.
They treated women better than Roman Empire or Athens. That is why Egyptian woman became
an example of female autonomy in society for other civilizations. Egyptians view women and
family as a crucial fact for happiness and delight, they looked women as invidious with respect
and not as objects like other civilizations. In the first place, comparing contemporary women of
Rome, Greece (especially Mycenaean); Egyptian women live with a certain freedom, respect and
free will, which put them in many ways as equal as men. They could own property, borrow money,

and 25 percent of the budget while UN goes for peacekeeping operations around the world. On
the other hand, the system of balance of power doesn t seem to contribute the cooperation

because each state in the system will increase its capabilities to make the balance in the system.
Eventually this competition will lead nation state to build its arm forces . However, there are
some arguments about the weakness of hegemonic power to prevent states from going to war.
They argue that hegemonic power has its own limitations in term of internal and external

Shakespeare Hardship
About 150 years after his death, questions arose about the authorship of William Shakespeare s
plays. Scholars and literary critics began to float names like Christopher Marlowe, Edward de
Vere and Francis Bacon men of more known backgrounds, literary accreditation, or inspiration as
the true authors of the plays. Much of this stemmed from the sketchy details of Shakespeare s life
and the dearth of contemporary primary sources. Official records from the Holy Trinity Church and
the Stratford government record the existence of a William Shakespeare, but none of these attest to
him being an actor or playwright.
Skeptics also questioned how anyone of such modest education could write with the intellectual
perceptiveness and poetic power that is displayed in Shakespeare s works. Over the centuries,
several groups have emerged that question the authorship of Shakespeare s plays.
The most serious and intense skepticism began in the 19th century when adoration for Shakespeare

before. Michael Faraday was sick for the last 25 years of his life, being weak and needing help,
but his income was extremely low, as his friends noticed. They asked Victoria, the Queen of the
United Kingdom, to rise his retire payment and let him live in Hampton Court, free of all expenses
and upkeep. Victoria accepted the request and Faraday spent the rest of his life in Middlesex.

Sorghum Research Paper
Forages in Australia are mainly kept in the country for use in feeding livestock. Excess forages are
cut to be baled for hay or they are ensiled, which means to be cut and stored in a silo or similar type
facility to be preserved as silage. Another newer and more popular use of forages are as cover crops
in between growing seasons. This is a good way to improve soil health and it also creates another
grazing area for livestock.
There are three main types of forages in Australia: sorghum, millet, and cover crops.
The first mentioned, sorghum, is the best known of the three. Although sorghum can be
harvested as grain, it is also used as a forage crop. Sorghum has a very high production potential
which makes it a great feed source for livestock. There are two main hybrids of sorghum that are
grown in Australia, and they are: sudan x sorghum where the bulk of this feed is available in the
summer and autumn and sweet sorghum where the bulk of feed is available in autumn. Although
sorghum is a great feed source, it does have a fault. The sorghum plants produce a toxic prussic
acid when they are young and if the plants are grazed by livestock during this period, it could be
fatal to the livestock.

Temperate millet has an advantage because it is the first forage available for grazing in the
spring. But, it only produces well in temperate like climates near the coast. Temperate millet also
needs to be grazed regularly to maintain the feed quality. It is planted starting in August. Hybrid
millet is desired by farmers in dryer growing conditions. The feed from the hybrid millet crop is
mostly available in the later summer and into autumn. Although it can be a good feed source, it is
unpalatable to livestock. Hybrid millet is planted in

The 1984 Anti-Sikh Riots in India
The 1984 Anti Sikh Riots in India
The Anti Sikh riots in the 1984 year of riots had been anything in particular. People are aggrieved
when they hear of the incident and narrate stories of how runaway crime could have increased
on Sikhs during the time. The main reason for the advent of the riots was the shooting down of
Mrs. Indira Gandhi in morning of 31 October 1984. The riots had started off in the evening just
after her morning death. The information of the riots was already taken by Giyani Jail Singhji
that meeting of congress leaders Arun Nehru, HKL Bhagat and Jagdish Tytler and more were
deciding to give a slogan called khoon ka badla khoon . The first riot took place in the evening near
Delhi market of INA, near south Delhi.
The riots were a challenge to the government to counter the overt insurgency effects, people
security and unplanned measures. In revenge for the army raid she (Mrs. Indira Gandhi) had
approved on Amritsar s Golden temple the center of Sikh faith, occupied by major Sikh
Nationalists, was the reason purported to be the fact on the riots gaining more fire. Officially, the
492 civilians as well as 83 soldiers had got killed in the operation.
Also CBI the main investigating agency has been of the opinion that many such violence based
riots might have also in this incident been supported with help of police and Central government.
Later on the Rajiv Gandhi government had come to power and he had said about the incident as

Racism In The Great Gatsby Essay
Tom counts himself at the top of the Nordic race . He asserts that Civilization s going to pieces
[...] It s up to us who are the dominant race to watch out or these other races will have control of
things . After reading The Rise of the Colored Empires , he introduces scientific racism. He says
the white race will be will be utterly submerged. It s all scientific stuff; it s been proved . In one of
his comments, we find that Tom, Nick, and Jordan belong to the Nordic racewhen Nick first visits
the Buchanans. (Fitzgerald 11) It is noteworthy that Nick and Gatsby find few blacks in a car on
their way to New York. Tarah Demant in his thesis paper claims The humor Nick finds in this
driving scene is that the passengers in the limousine, just as clearly different and inferior, and The
three modish Negroes, two bucks and a girl in the limousine are clearly racially different, no
matter how closely they can imitate the type of white privilege that marks Gatsby in this scene
(198). Physical differences between whites and blacks are clearly evident here. The impact of
prevailing social stratificationis multi dimensional in the novel. It is noted that social stratification
has great effects on racism. We find that Tom is a racist, and his racist attitude is due to his high
social status. He attacks Gatsby and questions about his fake claim of an Oxford graduate to
break the intimacy between her wife Daisy and Gatsby. He knows that revealing the truth is the
only way to create a negative impact on Daisy s mind about Gatsby. Another interpretation can
be taken from Tom s behavior is that Tom shows his aristocratic, rude and arrogant attitude.
Indicating Gatsby as a bootlegger , Mr. Nobody , he shows hardly any sympathy and courtesy to
Gatsby. His attitude toward Gatsby in such way would be impossible if he belongs to an inferior
class. Tom is also proud of his Nordic race . His intention is to neglect the inferior people for
their skin color. He is not a man to take any change easily. He cannot think of intermarriage
between black and white (Fitzgerald 103).Even Nick shows his racist behavior, pointing to the
passengers three modish Negroes . Racism toward the blacks is found, and this reaction

Ethnographic Analysis Of Apple Airpod
The production of a box is very difficult and complicated. It all depends on what you are shipping
and where you are shipping it to. If you are shipping a big heavy item you will need a big sturdy
box if you are shipping a product far distance you may need something like a crate. It all depends
on the size. Boxdimensions are displayed as: Length x Width x Depth that determines how big or
small the box may be.
For example let s say AmazonВ® ships a smartphone to me I ll have to measure the smartphones
length width and depth and multiply them all together to get the total area of the phone. I ll use the
measurements of the new Iphone X the height is 5.65 inches the width is 2.79 inches and the depth
is 0.30 inches. These are the total measurements ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
That s just the phone you have to leave space for the wall charger and AirPods. The
measurements of the Apple Airpods are 1.74 by 0.84 by 2.11 inches. The area of the Apple
Airpods are 3 inches squared. The measurements for the wall charger are 1.62 x 1.3 x 0.81 and the
area is 2 inches squared.
Now that we have found the area of all the items in the box we have to add all of the areas of the
other items like wall charger and AirPods plus the phone itself. When these are all added this
will determine what the total area is. When all the areas are added up you ll get 10 inches squared
as the area of the box. No that the area is found we can determine how expensive or inexpensive the
boxes might me.
The fact that Apple ships hundred of thousands of Iphone X s a day are crucial because the
boxes cost money too that means that they spend millions of dollars on boxing a year which
means they have to make an affordable safe box that won t break the phone in shipping or have
the box get damaged too quickly. If they make the boxes to expensive it can lead to Apple losing
more money than they earn. One way Apple makes the Iphone ten box an inexpensive box by
keeping all of the items tight in. That means there will be no use for extra foam or other excessive
items to keep the phone from breaking or cracking (discluding thin plastic around

What Are The Eight Steps Of Kotter s Eight Step Model
The change model that I applied for the project was the Kotter s Eight Step Process (Kohn,
2005). Within the Eight Step Process, it illustrates the major phases such as creating a climate
for change, engaging and enabling the organization and implementing and sustaining the
change. In each of the phases it has the building blocks that are required for each level to be
assure that change can occur. The main phase that I used from Kotter s Eight Step Process was
the creating a climate for change phase. In the creating a climate for change phase it has the
increase of urgency, build guiding teams and get the vision right. How I applied this phase of the
model to the project was that I knew if I present my suggestion with great motivation and with
heighten energy to the match specialist and to the board members, they are able to see that I am
serious in making a positive change. I also am aware that I needed to speak with the correct board
members first who were willing to listen and expressed that some change needed to occur within the
organization. This is the reason... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By demonstrating a sense of urgency and delivering my suggestion during the fundraiser event
in a highly energetic and motivated manner, the board members and especially the CEO would

people already in my corner from a few months ago that heard my suggestions in the past. The
people that had the right behavior by being focused, committed to the change that I wanted to do,
were people in positions in which they had a big influence towards the program. I also felt that by
using this phase of the model, the goal of the change that I wanted for the Big Sister Program was
considered to be achievable and implemented in the near

Avocado High Demand
The information found in the article Short supply, high demand sees avocado prices soar ,
discusses how avocados are in a high demand but there is a very short supply. One reason the
demand is so high for avocados according to New Zealand Avocado Growers Association chief
executive Jen Scoular is because the health effects avocados provide. With the markets raising
awareness and grabbing consumers interest, leads to a higher demand at a limited source of
supply. This article also mentioned that almost 60% of their avocado crop was being exported. A
spokeswoman for supermarket operator Foodstuff said the firmer avocado prices this summer were
not unexpected and reflected supply and demand. ( Adams, Short supply, high demand sees

When faced with a supply and demand issue we are faced with a product that is in demand but
cannot be supplied or is limited to supply. As we see in the avocado scenario, the demand for
avocados was skyrocketing however the supply was limited. Therefore, adjustments need to be
made in order to maintain the current supply, or outsource for more. When this occurs the price
of the product is bound to increase. The industry feels that price increase justifies what the value
of the product is at the particular time. The higher the demand the higher the price. With supply
and demand it proves that if people really want something they will pay for it regardless of the
cost. Let me use the Samsung Galaxy S5 as an example: the phone has a retail value of $599.99,
within a day of the phone being out, every store was sold out. Consumer s had the demand for the
phone and the supply was there. However, that same phone is a few months may only be

The Importance Of Virtual Reality
With the development and evolution of humanity, people need to be prepared for the major
technological changes that will take place. Virtual reality or VR, is one of the biggest tech
developments we ve seen in recent years that is forcing the public to question reality. Consumers
from all over the world are flocking to the shelves to buy these newly affordable VR products that
take them to new worlds and adventures. It is argued whether or not these products will have a
dramatic impact on the world or just be another new technology that eventually is swept under the
rug, but people are already making steps to push for a reality that includes VR products. By putting

One of the leading virtual reality website VRS.org (Virtual Reality Society) founded in 1984 by
Jaron Lanier, who is often regarded as the person who coined the term virtual reality claims that
Early forms of virtual reality included blocky looking graphics and crude renderings which did
not take long to produce but would not meet today s ever increasing demands. People want
faster, smoother and lifelike scenarios which make greater demands on processing speed,
memory and rendering time. The experiences of VR users back in the 90 s is nothing compared
to the 3d rendering and development of present day. Now since the demand is higher and price
lower we can start seeing some of the effects on the users. The long term effects are also still
being tested, but many of them are starting to be uncovered. The effects relation is more physical
than mental and is usually due to eye strain (which causes problems with motion sickness). They
are calling this effect cybersickness and it s different for everyone. The main effects a user might
feel due to cybersickness are headaches, nausea, etc. Age, balance, health, all influence the effects
and it is completely different for everyone. Another problem people are facing is the factor of time.
It takes time to develop these virtual reality worlds and the user can sometimes get lost in time and
not realize how much has gone by. With more knowledge and tests the consumer can find their

The Pros And Cons Of Belgian Federalism
Dr. Wilfried Swenden, a professor at Edinborough University in his research paper called Belgian
Federalism: Basic Institutional Features and Potential as a Model for the European Union , argues
that there are positive as well as negative aspects as Belgium as a federal state. The good things
about it is that it managed to lower the amount of tension between the different language speaking
groups. He supports it by stating that the amount of demonstrations has gone down since
federalization of the country and that that can be linked to the success of the government. One of
the critiques that is often raised that it is very costly. Certainly, the process itself costs money,
however, it could lower the expenses by stopping some of the costly proto federal practices aimed
at concealing disputes between the two Communitiesin a unitary context (Swenden, 2003). He also
argues that the state of public finance is better nowadays than in was before the reforms. One of his
strongest arguments is that people have actually started identifying more with Belgiumthan before
when they allowed to identify with their region too. Swenden calls it the Moreno question the share
of citizens who have been willing to shift their identity to the Belgian end of the continuum has
increased, rather than decreased over time (Swenden, 2003).
However, there are some disadvantages. Like that Belgium while having three regions and
communities is actually bipolar in character. The German speaking

in her grandmother s drive way, Aisha sees Addison waiting for her at the door. After a couple of
minutes, they leave and head home.
Like most college students, Aisha had a different plan for how her life was going to pan out. As
a freshman, Aisha was proactive and planned all her classes for the upcoming semsters. She
even figured out what semesters she needed to take to take them in so she could graduate early
and go to medical school. She was active on campus and cheered while maintaining her 3.5 GPA.
On the weekends, she even took trips to go see friends and family. She also became an orientation
leader for the summer of 2014. Her life was carefree.
In the first half of her sophomore year in 2014 and she was still living a normal college care free
life. She was an Ambassador on campus, a parted of CAB (Campus Activities Board) as a director
and while still on the varsity cheerleading team. A car accident in November of the same year,
Aisha was involved in a car accident which resulted in her getting a concussion. Her accident is
the event that changed Aisha s life forever. This concussion caused her to have to stop cheering
until she was cleared. The month in December right before Christmas break Aisha went back to

Catechism In The Chick Tract
This Chick Tract also touches on the idea of an all loving God which goes hand in hand with the
idea of God giving His only begotten Son so that everyone else will be allowed eternal life (John
3:16 ). The fundamentalists try to state in this Chick Tract that God does not love Roman Catholics
because God views them as a false religion. The fundamentalists believe that the Catholic Churchis
just trying to persuade people to join their faith and that it actually goes against the word of God.
According to the Catechism of the Catholic Faith, Catholics believe in an all loving God due to
the fact that He always provides for His people, forgives sins, and most importantly offers His
followers an eternity of everlasting love with Him in heaven if they choose to do so (Cline,
Austin, Is God Omnibenevolent). God has proven that He loves all of His followers and
children not only through the giving of His Son, but also throughout other parts of the Bible.
Deuteronomy 7:9 shows a great example of this love Remember that the Lord your God is the
only God and that he is faithful. He will keep his covenant and show his constant love to a
thousand generations of those who love him and obey his commands . God is telling his
followers that if they remain faithful to Him, He will in return remain faithful to them, and will
always guide them and keep them safe. This God does not seem to be a God of hate who could
merely banish someone to spend the rest of eternity burning in hell for not

  • 2. The And Oral Communication Curriculum Picture a world where a higher power restricts, defines, and degrades the individual from the moment they are born. Everyone has been assigned one title woman or man that serves as a warning label for his or her capabilities. Whether or not the individual follows these societal constraints, discrimination will always accompany the titles given. Even in America s gender focused society, labels and expectations are imposed upon people that can determine the direction and limits of their lives. Such social injustice could spark rebellions and result in shattered laws of civilization and the end of equality for everyone, no matter their gender. As teenage research writers, personally, our lives have been sheltered and confined,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One such example can be found in Lorraine Hansberry s play A Raisin in the Sun when Walter Younger demeaned Beneatha s doctoral career choice. Walter had other views on what a womanhis sister s age should do with her life: Who the hell told you you had to be a doctor? If you so crazy bout messing round with sick people then go be a nurse like other women or just get married and be quiet (Hansberry 1.1). Walter stands as an emblem of society during the 1950s, the time period of the play, because in his perspective, a woman is not capable of doing a man s job; therefore, if Beneatha were to become a doctor generally an occupation dominated by males for many years she would defy gender stereotypes and act as a detriment against one of civilization s strongest social constructs: gender. Walter, and many others, would much rather have Beneatha remain silent and undereducated merely because she is a woman. He would prefer Beneatha take a job that is for women, a nurse, because it is a position subordinate to a doctor s. Not surprisingly, gender inequality also existed before A Raisin in the Sun. Harper Lee s thought provoking novel To Kill a Mockingbird is known for its harsh, yet very accurate, portrayal of life for people plagued by oppression during the 1930s. • 3. Sacrifice In Crime And Punishment By Raskolnikov Sacrifice is the act of giving up something that you want to keep especially in order to get or do something else or to help someone. The novel Crime and Punishment expressed the hardships of the characters to obtain money at the time. Everyone was poor and had to give up valuables in order to receive grace on their rent payments from Alyona Ivanovna, the landlady. It was a constant struggle for Rodion Romanovich Raskolnikov, who occupied the housing development of Alyona. Raskolnikov had difficulty making ends meet and others complained about Alyona s unfair behaviors. What filthy things my heart is capable of. (P1, Ch1) Even his own thoughts of the murder disgusted him. Raskolnikov can not even comprehend his urgency to kill yet he continues to plot Alyona s death meticulously. Almost from the first, while he read the letter, Raskolnikov s face was wet with tears; but when he finished it, his face was pale and distorted and a bitter, wrathful and malignant smile was on his lips. (P1, Ch3) Although Raskolnikov has a hatred for his small flat and how disgusting his living conditions are, he enjoys his bitter isolation. After he receives a letter from his mother, Pulcheria Alexandrovna, and sister, Avdotya Romanovna (Dounia), his anxiety levels rise. Raskolnikov has still not paid his rent to his new landlady, Praskovya Pavlovna, and yet his family sends him prayers of good will. This idea of a religious merry message makes him cringe for he knows he has sinned. His emotions are distorted and can not be changed, for the murder has maliciously embalmed his very thoughts of what is right and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Social Capital in the Developing World Essay The globalized world today is getting very advanced in all areas and so has become very competitive. This then accommodates the use of a comparative approach in society. Comparative, an activity derived from the word comparison meaning to compare, it is defined as a research which uses data that are compared between at least two countries (Ragin, 1987). This comparative study is a very important phenomenon in the field of social science and commenced in the1960s and 1970s. It is used as an essential form of an investigating tool in analyzing the operations between different countries with a view to formulate solutions for under developed countries and to give details of the development of social structuring in the framing of public... It was deemed necessary for human advancement in terms of improvement in institutions, standard of living, health care, education and the way forward in society. In other words it can be regarded as a social empowerment to prepare government policies in the emerging societies. According to Alan Thomas, development is seen as an historical era attesting for social changes which has transformed society over a long period. He also made mention that development is a deliberate intent for progress through government, its agencies, social movements and other organizations (Thomas, 1992). Development is evident in society when there is a marked increase in economic growth, prosperity among individuals, modernized infrastructure and an increase in educational standards. Educational opportunities are of vital importance in any society as it enhances and produces individuals of intellectual personalities who in turn build the society from their brilliant ideas. On the other hand, lack of educational standard leads to criminal behaviours, hence, a decline in development. Adapting to technological advancement and engaging in an active civil society helps in fostering development. Civil society plays an integral role in society s development as they mostly include interest groups. They lobby for changes to meet the needs of becoming competitive with the ... • 6. The American War of Independence The American Revolutionary War, also known as the War of Independence, began on April 19th, 1775 with the Battle of Lexington and Concord. The American Revolution was a war between the thirteen colonies and Great Britian. The colonies wanted to gain independence from Great Britian. It was also a rebellion against the monarchy, which lead to the establishment of the republic [CROSS]. The outcome of the war was a victory for the thirteen colonies. The colonist gained independence and British recognition. The Battle of Lexington and Concord was a significant battle because it was the start of the Revolutionary War; there are many events that led to the colonist fighting back. The war started because Great Britain was taxing the colonies. Great Britain imposed the Sugar Act, Stamp Act, Townshend Acts, etc. It was taxation without representation. Many people wrote about what colonists should do. John Dickinson wrote The Letters From a Pennsyvlanvia Farmer and Thomas Paine wrote Common Sense . Both were the actions that they believed that colonist should take and their opinion on the matters. Americans rebelled with the Boston Massacre in 1770 and the Boston Tea Party in 1773 [CITE]. This caused Great Britain to enact the Coercive Acts. The Coercive Acts were divided into three parts: Boston Port Act, Administration of Justice Act, and the Massachusetts Government Act. • 8. Edward Bernay s Crystallizing Public Opinion Edward Bernay s Crystallizing Public Opinion gives readers an insight on public relations and public opinions on its history and how it came about. The text was broken up into four different parts: scope and functions, the group and herd, technique and method, and lastly ethical relations. Each parts has certain chapter topics leads to the next which leads to the next parts of the book. The text is very helpful for those who are in public relations, I would not say the book was easy nor difficult, it was more in between. There are some chapters that are pretty lengthy compared to others and there will be names mentioned in a few chapters that can be a little confusing. Overall, it is best for people to know about the history of PR and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Mr. Bernay mention Judge Cardozo of the Court of Appeals of the State of New York, as an example that judges go through different cases a day and having to decide to pick one. How I see that example is that as PR field, no matter what clients we get, we can have a choice to help them or not. Same goes for judges while they decide on a case to work on. Therefore Bernay gives us three tendencies of fundamental importance s. Tendency number one, increase public interest in industrial aggregations (Bernay, 1923, p. 66). The first tendency basically tells PR practitioners that it is important to keep their clients and public happy. They need to find a way to make themselves stay relevant and keeping up with what the public want. Second tendency the increased readiness of the public, due to spread of literacy and democratic forms of government (Bernay, 1923, p. 66). News spread out like wildfires, when a controversy happens within the government or entertainment industry, public relations has to keep up with it and put that fire out, or else people will keep on misunderstanding and demanding information. Lastly tendency three, keen competition for public favor due to modern methods of selling (Bernays, 1923. P 66). The public relations field is as competitive like every other career fields out there. To be a good practitioner you need to have networking and being able to handle any sort situations, that is what will keep you high in the competition. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. Breastfeeding Should Be Allowed In Public Breastfeeding is natural and breast milk is the best nutritional choice for infants. Breastfeeding helps babies to fight infections, prevent allergies and diarrhea, and protects against several chronic conditions, breast milk contains antibodies that help infants fight off viruses and bacteria, and is easy for an infants stomach to digest. Also, breastfeedinghelps the infant and the mother to bond and it can help the mothers to lose extra calories fast, which they gained during pregnancy. However, breastfeeding in public tends to be controversial, and breastfeeding mothers are forced to use the public bathroom to feed their babies. If anyone of us can have our lunch or dinner in public, why shouldn t a breastfed baby has the same rights? And who wants to have lunch in the bathroom? Women should breastfeed anywhere except in the bathroom. women have a legal right to breastfeed her babies in public, and women s breast is created to nurture babies. People argue breastfeeding in public is indecent exposure and unconformable to those who are watching a mother nursing a child. • 10. `` Radical Hope `` By Jonathan Lear Essay Individuals of a certain society are raised with a particular set of ideals and values that are ingrained in their perception of everyday life. One may wonder how such individuals can continue life if they must abandon all of their fundamental principles of living. Jonathan Lear describes in his book, Radical Hope, how Plenty Coups, the last chief of the Crow nation, was able to help his tribe discontinue their particular way of life in order to survive in the future. Lear states how Plenty Coups does this: Precisely because Plenty Coups sees that a traditional way of life is coming to an end, he is in a position to embrace a peculiar form of hopefulness. It is basically the hope for revival: for coming back to life in a form that is not yet intelligible (Lear 2006: 95). Through this statement, Lear implies many things. As a young boy, Plenty Coups experiences a dream in which he is told that the Crow culture is coming to an end and is given advice on how he must proceed with his life through certain virtues, such as listening and recognizing wisdom of others. His dream is interpreted by the Crow elders as an inevitable halt to their way of living. As Plenty Coups is able to anticipate the complete demolition of the Crow culture and its values, he recognizes he must adapt his perceptionof everyday life to whatever the necessary circumstances demand. Although he may be only following the instructions of what he had been told in his dream, Plenty Coups commits himself to an ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. Impact Of The Enlightenment Of Witch Hunt The Enlightenment of Witch Hunt and The Change of New England Society Many people may have heard of Witch Hunt, but only a very small number of people really understand the reason behind the comical history. The 17th century New England was in change. At that time, the traditional way of dealing with things, the means of facing dissension and the laws and rules of the new era caused a dramatic tension: the confrontation between judicial system and tradition mode. In the past, people s methods of dealing with difficult things tended to appeal to supernatural powers, which led to the truth distored or buried. The emergence of the judicial system had greatly challenged this traditional method. By reading Escaping Salem we can feel the transformation process. The story of Witch Hunt in Escaping Salem is not complicated. A maid named Kate was suddenly mad out of unknown reason and says she is bewtiched. Gradually the neighbors begin to believe that Kate was indeed bewitched. At the same time, Kate begins to name three suspected witch names, two of whom are tried. The villagers of the story do not play the role of fools. There is a sharp contrast between the scholars who graduated from famous universites and the ordinary villagers. For example, John Bishop was an educated and experienced man of God: he had graduated from Oxford in 1632 (26). The plan proposed to drop several atomic bombs on naval ships to test the damages and effects in a controlled setting. The Subcommittee prepared for detonations above and around the island of Bikini, an isolated, sparsely populated, American controlled territory with naval and air force capacity in the south Pacific. There s Pierre s duel with Dolohov in Tolstoy s War and Peace; there s Onegin s duel with Lensky in Pushkin s Eugene Onegin; there s Pechorin s duel with Grushnitsky in Lermontov s A Hero of Our Time, and Bazarov duel with Pavel in Turgenev s Fathers and Sons. In this paper, however, making comparisons between the duels from A Hero of Our Time and Eugene Onegin will be the primary focus. When it comes to deciding if dueling was a noble form of conflict resolution, both writers seem to indirectly portray to the reader that duels are unimpressive and ineffective. Both writers emphasize on the challenges that could happen before, during, and after a Russian duel. If the writers wanted to portray to the readers that duels were honorable, then they would have not displayed the challenges that each character faced while they participated in the duel. A similarity between the two duels of A Hero of Our Time and Eugene Onegin is who ultimately ends up being killed. Both Lermontov and Onegin kill a character that was foolish, and who, perhaps, should not have died. In A Hero of Our Time, Grushnitsky foolishly challenges Pechorin after mistakenly assuming that Pechorin snuck into Princess Mary s residence to see her when she was home alone. This is a constant theme in many works of literature throughout the ages. Divine communication comes in many forms such as oracles, prophets and direct communication with God. In the Bible, mortals often have direct contact with God, who is seen as a father figure. In contrast, divine communication in Oedipus the Kingcomes in the form of oracles and prophets, which are seen as an abstract entity. While both God and the Oracles have the same intent of guiding and advising those involved, individuals were more apt to listen to divine communication in the Biblebecause it derived from a fatherly figure while individuals tended to reject divine intervention in Oedipus the King because it came from an abstract source. Even in today s century woman keep having difficulties and differences with equality and rights. It is not surprising that those problems come from many centuries ago. The best ancient civilization to be a woman was Egypt. They treated women better than Roman Empire or Athens. That is why Egyptian woman became an example of female autonomy in society for other civilizations. Egyptians view women and family as a crucial fact for happiness and delight, they looked women as invidious with respect and not as objects like other civilizations. In the first place, comparing contemporary women of Rome, Greece (especially Mycenaean); Egyptian women live with a certain freedom, respect and free will, which put them in many ways as equal as men. For example USA as a hegemonic state pays the 22 percent regular expenditure of United Nation and 25 percent of the budget while UN goes for peacekeeping operations around the world. On the other hand, the system of balance of power doesn t seem to contribute the cooperation among states but in contrast it pushes the states to go for a competition and armament race because each state in the system will increase its capabilities to make the balance in the system. Eventually this competition will lead nation state to build its arm forces . However, there are some arguments about the weakness of hegemonic power to prevent states from going to war. They argue that hegemonic power has its own limitations in term of internal and external barriers to go as policeman around the world. This arguments see very good and logic. Scholars and literary critics began to float names like Christopher Marlowe, Edward de Vere and Francis Bacon men of more known backgrounds, literary accreditation, or inspiration as the true authors of the plays. Much of this stemmed from the sketchy details of Shakespeare s life and the dearth of contemporary primary sources. Another newer and more popular use of forages are as cover crops in between growing seasons. This is a good way to improve soil health and it also creates another grazing area for livestock. There are three main types of forages in Australia: sorghum, millet, and cover crops. The first mentioned, sorghum, is the best known of the three. Although sorghum can be harvested as grain, it is also used as a forage crop. Sorghum has a very high production potential which makes it a great feed source for livestock. There are two main hybrids of sorghum that are grown in Australia, and they are: sudan x sorghum where the bulk of this feed is available in the summer and autumn and sweet sorghum where the bulk of feed is available in autumn. Physical differences between whites and blacks are clearly evident here. The impact of prevailing social stratificationis multi dimensional in the novel. It is noted that social stratification has great effects on racism. We find that Tom is a racist, and his racist attitude is due to his high social status. He attacks Gatsby and questions about his fake claim of an Oxford graduate to break the intimacy between her wife Daisy and Gatsby. He knows that revealing the truth is the only way to create a negative impact on Daisy s mind about Gatsby. Another interpretation can be taken from Tom s behavior is that Tom shows his aristocratic, rude and arrogant attitude. Indicating Gatsby as a bootlegger , Mr. Nobody , he shows hardly any sympathy and courtesy to Gatsby. His attitude toward Gatsby in such way would be impossible if he belongs to an inferior class. Tom is also proud of his Nordic race . His intention is to neglect the inferior people for their skin color. He is not a man to take any change easily. The good things about it is that it managed to lower the amount of tension between the different language speaking groups. He supports it by stating that the amount of demonstrations has gone down since federalization of the country and that that can be linked to the success of the government. One of the critiques that is often raised that it is very costly.
