Restriction digest involves the use of restriction enzymes (also known as restriction
endonucleases) to locate specific base pair sequences in DNA. These enzymes cut, or
cleave, DNA only at their designated sequence, which is referred to as a recognition
sequence. While there are four different types of restriction enzymes (1), the only
type that was worked with in the following experiment were type II restriction
enzymes (2). These enzymes have recognition sites that are mostly palindromic
and usually consist of around four to eight base pairs. They also require only
magnesium (Mg2+) as a cofactor to operate. Cofactors are molecules that bind to
enzymes in order to activate them (3). Additionally, they cut DNA only at, or very
near to, their specified restriction site, unlike other types, which cleave at various
distances from their recognition site (1). The restriction enzymes that will be used
in following experiment are Hind III, PVU II, and Bgl I (2). Hind III recognizes
and cuts DNA at the sequence AAGCTT. It is isolated from Haemophilus
influenzae (4), which is a bacteria that is the cause of several diseases, including

Stubborn and Static Has it ever crossed your mind that in a book the main character
stayed the same? Well when that happens the character is called a static character and
a dynamic character is one who changes throughout the story. In the book, Things Fall
Apart by Chinua Achebe, the main character Okonkwo is a static character. In most
stories the protagonist is a dynamic character, however Okonkwo is the opposite
and the reason for that was because of the events that took place during his

Okonkwo wants his return to be special and, was determined that [it] should be
marketed by his people (171). Nobody notices him and has no care in the world for
him. This does not phase him and Okonkwo stays the way he usually is, not super
angry but a little disappointed. He is one disappointed that nobody acknowledges
him and two, he is still carrying around the disappointment from his son. His son,
Nwoye, acts like Okonkwo s father Unoka which is Okonkwo s greatest fear. All

Christians have now completely taken over and there is nothing he can do about it.
His people no longer have the mentality to fight and there are not many people on

According to the systematic review covered by Apfel, Turan, Souza, Pergolizzi
Hornuss, 2013 there is a significant reduction in postoperative nausea and vomiting
and opioid use when using intravenous acetaminophen. The reviewers used Medline
and Cochrane databases to conduct their search along with a hand search of abstracts
to identify randomized controlled trials using intravenous acetaminophen. The review

What was started as a study to show that there were less reports of postoperative
nausea and vomiting ended up being a study that showed that the two usually ran
hand in hand as you cannot have vomiting really without having nausea but on the
other hand you can have nausea without vomiting so it was a little hard to show a
difference in the two. But also that it not only mattered when they received the
acetaminophen that it also seemed to help with vomiting more if just one dose was
given than if additional doses were also given so one dose worked the best. And
while they were not really assessing for pain control it was determined that there was
less use of additional opioids if the patient received acetaminophen. The study has
so many ands, buts and in additions to. It seemed like the results were all over the
place making it hard to determine if the initial question truly was answered. Here is
one example to show how things seemed to contradict each other Number needed to
treat for i.v. acetaminophen was 12.3 (7.6 32.3) for nausea and 14.2 (8.3 50.8) for
vomiting. Sensitivity analysis revealed that i.v. acetaminophen reduced nausea (0.63,
0.54 0.75) and vomiting (0.42, 0.31 0.56) in investigator initiated trials, but did not
reduce nausea (1.12, 0.85 1.48) and even increased vomiting (1.41, 1.02 1.96) in
